The librarian thumbed through a catalog for the requested books, then realization dawn on their face. They excused themselves for a moment and went down into the basement, where Bast would be dealing with the emissary from Gimangakure. After exchanging a few words, the librarian would return with a clone of Bast's. Outside, Mononoke would sprint off toward the Miyamoto Household.
"You're looking for the Mechanic's Manuals?" she confirmed with Sadayo while drawing a seal in the air over a nearby table. A few minutes passed before the Bast activated the seal and summoned the huge multi-book sets of manuals, each volume a different stack of books. "Knock yourself out. Just be careful not to actually knock yourself out; you never realize how much damage a stack of books can do until it falls on you."
If that was all Sadayo needed, the Bast clone would step off to one side and disperse.
The librarian zipped off and returned with Bast, who essentially solved most of the girl’s problem until she were able to fetch her own copies. She would thank Bast, sounding chipper. She was excited to read them.
Sadayo take her time to review volumes 1 and 2 of the Mechanic Manuals. Volume 3, she was able to skip, as its usefullness would be necessary much later in her journey. Covering both books took a while and upon completion of the last sentence, she would escort all three up to the desk and ask the librarian ensures they’re returned to Bast. Off to training!

Petrel followed Bast and her golem, as they stood at the entrance as sentinels she nodded towards them in thanks. She made her way into the library following Bast. As they sat she got to the point of the meeting quickly. Which was good for Petrel as well, it would allow everything to go quicker. Petrel opened her mouth to speak but someone entered the room and headed in thier direction. Now since there was noone else in thier area it was obvious they were heading towards them. The guards sitting near her looked at the newcomer but a quick look a Petrel let them know to not be so intimidating. Petrel waited patiently for the newcomer to finish thier business with Bast. As it seemed they were done she opened her mouth to speak once again."Yes, You see I'm sure you've been informed that Gimangakure is currently under somewhat UHV control. They have formed an allegiance with the another group in the village who are currently manufacuturing supplies and armanents for them. The point is we are tired of the UHV control of Giman, we have always been neutral village. But if we are to push these invaders out of all our lands we can no longer remain neutral. Suna has won a battle but the war against them still rages. They are far from defeat."Petrel pulled a small scroll from her robes and placed them on the table."This scroll contains the location of Otogakure, a current UHV stronghold. Along with the villages defenses,economic condition and current military power. Along with future support and information sharing between our villages." After taking a pause she continued."In return for this information, We would like Sunagakure to provide us with copies of your entire jutsu library." In the scroll they each received from Lucius, it detailed a list of things we would ask in return. Money, Weapons, Jutsu. The negotiators each dicussed what they would ask for before leaving."We are aware that villages have origin scrolls. Which allow them to make copies of thier jutsu library in case theft or damage. Gimangakure currently has no such thing. If we are to be any kind of support or help against the UHV in the future. Nin/Gen/Tai/Buki jutsu would be critical for training our own shinobi." Petrel had no idea if the Origin scrolls were public knowledge or not. She also didn't mention Lucius in any of her talking.

Bast created a clone to open and look through the scroll some distance away from the two of them in case it turned out to be a trap. While the clone looked over the information, Bast listened to Petrel, her eyes monitoring the negotiator's bearing to look for any blatant signs of a lie.
"While it is certain that we can copy the library and that doing so is likely to be of short-term benefit, what assurance do we have that the information you are providing is true?" she asked flatly. "There was an Otogakure Shinobi present during the Chuunin Exams, yet the UHV still attacked. Even 'Giman' itself means 'Deception'. Beyond that, how do we know that the group you're representing isn't looking to fill the power vacuum left behind after the UHV's defeat, leading to more problems down the line?"
Bast was well aware that the UHV probably had access to their own scroll library, so she wasn't particularly concerned about the possibility of any of Suna's information leaking to the enemy in that regard. In fact, if she were certain this emissary came bearing nothing but the truth, the deal was almost too good to be true. It was, all told, a fairly low-risk deal for the Sand, one which would give them a leg up on a supposed mutual enemy at a cost of some paper and ink and some information that was almost public knowledge. She didn't like how simple the deal sounded, not coming from an unverified party.
It was far difficult to shake Tetsuhiko off her side than she imagined, at least he wasn’t physically clinging to her arm or anything. Oh well, no harm done. They arrive to the library, her pace increases as she passes through its doors. ” It’s actually kinda’ cool in here, but you’ll have to sightsee later. We’ve got things to look into. Sadayo would guide the ever-so lovestruck student to the same desk she came to earlier. Hey. Me again. You wouldn’t happen to have given those puppet books back to Bast yet, have you?” The librarian’s memory was still fresh with Sadayo’s previous visit and that the girl returned Bast’s manuals to the desk. The librarian mentioned Lady Bast is still very busy and the opportunity to take back the books haven’t returned yet. With that, the librarian knelt behind the desk and pulled each heavy manual up, one by one until Sadayo stopped them. Ah, wait! We actually just need volumes one and two for now. Sorry. Thank you though! The librarian nodded and looked relieved that they wouldn’t have to haul the last book onto the counter. The third volume was reshelved out of sight to wait for Bast. Showing off her strength, Sadayo would carefully collect both books, and haul them to the nearest table. She set both volumes down. Alright, just take a look at volumes one and two for now. When you’re finished i’ll meet you back at the dojo where you should try your hand at putting to use what you’ve read. I’ve got an errand or two to run. Shouldn’t take you too long.
Unless the boy had a question first, Sadayo would wave him off and hurry back to the main entrance.

__ Once Tetsuhiko arrived with Sadayo she asked the librarian for the mech manuals and took her leave. It was all in such a hurry and suddenly his love left him. With a sigh he stared blankly at the tomes of technical information for a moment before walking up and sitting down in front of them. He hunched over and began reading the first volume. "This is so dry, how dare they try to make my art so boring!" He was fussy as he flipped the pages and drank in the information. After some time he finished reading the first manual and understood the general concept. "So you have to manipulate the puppets a certain way with chakra using regular physical attacks in order to ensure the hit lands." He nodded to himself in confirmation before moving to the second volume. As he read through it, he digested even more material. This book served as an addition to the first volume with further specified information. "I can only imagine what is in the other books." He thought before slamming the tome shut and walking over to the training grounds.
Petrel waited patiently for Bast to reply to her, she smiled as she responded asking if they would be trouble for them down the road. The question seemed quite funny to her."With any type of secret information, it is very difficult to confirm its authenticity. That's why it's supposed to be a secret."Petrel responded calmly."You shouldn't judge a book by its cover, and I cannot speak for future as that is always uncertain. But right now, our objectives align. The enemy of my enemy is my friend Lady Bast. And as friends, we wish to extend this olive branch that will hopefully stay strong and grow in the future."

Bast stared at Petrel for several long moments. She couldn't protest too much since Ayame seemed to have already agreed to whatever deal was being made, at least implicitly. Instead she let out a long sigh.
"That's about as good an answer as I can expect," she told the diplomat, shaking her head. "Acting on behalf of the Village Hidden in the Sand, I will accept the terms of the agreement laid out earlier. How soon will you need the library?"
Petrel smiled at the agreement of Suna to her terms. In the end they were gaining more and they knew it. But she was sure this jutsu library would be a huge benefit to Lucius-sama, none of the other negotiators wanted the task of getting the jutsu anyways so she had to be the one to do it. Petrel stood and bowed deeply to Bast."We thank you, it was a pleasure speaking with you." She stopped for a moment to think about the timeline for the jutsu library. The sooner the better."As soon as possible would be the best, That way we can take care guarding and transporting the shipment."

Bast nodded and spoke quietly into an ear radio for a few moments. When she stopped, she turned back to Petrel.
"If you would like, I can give you a seal and reverse-summon the library to you a few days from now," she told the negotiator. She drew a small summoning seal on a piece of paper and held it up. "It would be much easier to transport. If not, you can head back to the gates and we'll send you the library in physical form in a couple of hours."
Petrel stopped and thought about the proposal, that would probably be the best solution. They would have to worry about defending it on the road."I'll take you up on the offer of the reverse summon Lady Bast." Though they could easily just not send it or even send a monster or beast to the seal. They already had the info on Oto, but she felt like she could trust them to complete thier end of the bargain."I look forward to our group working together." Petrel bowed and accepted the seal that Bast offered."Thank you and have a lovely day."With that she exited the library. they would stop to eat something before heading back out.

Bast handed over the seal when Petrel accepted, then sent word to Ayame that they would need to send the Jutsu libraries to Giman through a seal, but that she would use her pens to copy the relevant information into blank scrolls. She also included the scroll of information on Otogakure they'd received. After all that was said and done, she set her pens on copying the library of Jutsu into blank scrolls she requisitioned from the Village, then headed out.

The visionary meandered into the library, stopping to read a small kiosk that would dictate where she needed to go. Her feet took her to the appropriate area while her eyes scanned all the literature she hadn't read yet, thinking on the likelihood any of it bore any merit. She considered grabbing a bagfull of books to take with her, but ultimately decided the scrolls were of higher priority. She took the scrolls for earth, water, and puppetry with her to the desk. A few moments later she was on her way out.
As he patrolled the village, Masato had still failed to see a thing. He was beginning to wonder if these punk kin were even here anymore. It was broadcast over the PA...was it a prank? He grumbled to himself as he passed by the library, questioning the staff if they'd seen any punks.
Karuto arrived and was surprised to find Masato already here searching. That guy was probably the only one in the village who could out punch him. Determined not to be shown up, Karuto got to work!
