"Man and Spirit alike tell me I cannot withstand the storm…"

Appearing in a private room in the back of the academy,Theo thought about what he wanted to work on, finally settling on improving his basic control over his elements to start off.
Starting with raiton,Theo channeled chakra through his hands until electricity started arcing between his spread fingers. Pressing his hands together than slowly drawing them back apart he watched as the mass of lightning formed a large crescent shape between his hands. Keeping it going, he’d bring his hands back together as he formed the lightning into a ball and compressed it to about the size of an apple before throwing it at a nearby dummy, watching it explode and crackle on impact, sending bits of electricity jumping around the thing and leaving a burn mark where it hit. Raiton no jutsu A rank learned.

Next he’d try wind jutsu, holding his hands a foot or so apart, he’d focus chakra into a swirling mass between them, watching slowly as a mini twister formed. After maintaining that, Theo tossed it out into the room and added more chakra to it, watching as it expanded into a roughly 9 ft tall tornado and whipped around the room for a minute before exhausting itself and falling apart. Fuuton no jutsu learned A rank

Moving on to suiton, Theo pulled what water he could from the dry desert air and formed it into a thin wire, gradually making it bigger until he had something roughly the size of a pillar circling around him. He then split it into several smaller chunks, twisting them into different shapes before creating a swirling vortex of the different strands and sending it flying at the dummy, knocking it back and denting the wooden chest of it. Suiton no jutsu A rank learned

Playing with some more water, Theo decided to shift to his hyouton, freezing the water quickly as he pulled more together and froze it in an instant. The jounin started shaping the ice in front of him before he scattered it out in front of him, later pulling it up into spikes of ice from the floor. Finally he’d pull all the ice over him, self into half a dome, he knew it wouldn’t hold against much, but it was useful in a pinch. Hyouton no jutsu learned

Taking a breath,Theo would exhale a small storm cloud, holding it in his hands, the man would toss it into the air and begin molding it with his chakra, making different cloud shapes for fun before making it grow larger quickly, hiding the entire ceiling of the room he was in. He’d then start directing spirals of the cloud to stretch off and strike the dummies around the room, burning black spots in their heads. Finally he’d let the clouds dissipate and relax a bit before heading out to the main large training room to see if anyone was around and wanted help. Ranton no jutsu Learned

[ Morticia & Cinnamon ]
Sunagkaure ✦ Genin ✦ Tamer&Taijutsu ✦ Jiton
Do no
harm but take no s**t.

Moritica; Chakra: 210/210 Stamina: 285/285

Morticia yawned as she rubbed her hair softly, it was slightly damp from the shower she just took. She had to go home and change clothes to get rid of the urine smell, start the washer, and then take the shower. Cinnamon took a nap while she did that. Part of her was envious, must be nice to sleep a lot. Poor Cin needed rest anyways after that scary scolding she got from the alpha female of a tamer. What a kick a** woman. She wonders if she would get there. Of course she would! With a smile to herself, she entered the academy with the grumpy grey fox in tow for being woken up too 'soon'. "You can sleep over there." Cin let out a soft squeak as it headed over to a corner and dozed off. Morticia rolled her eyes as she went searching for the Jiton bloodline. While she doesn't know who was in her family or even if they are still alive, it was proven she had Jiton in her.

First things first, she needed to learn the basic because it was the heart of the Jiton so to speak. After some searching, she finally found the scrolls and had to open some of them to finally found the one she was looking for. Reading it over, she frowned slightly. That wasn't enough information to help her with the training! Well, she was going to learn and find out the hard way. Sighed softly, she pushed some of the tables and the chairs out of the way and stood in the middle of the, at the moment, empty room. Closed her eyelids, she focused hard and long as she started to channel into her Doton's chakra and not too long, Raiton quickly followed. She heard things rattling around her but she still stayed focused. She assumed the rattling was normal because the combination was like a magnet, it will draw certain metals to her. Inhale and exhale, she was slow on those two so she could stay focused. It was then, Cin barked at her and her focus was gone. Glanced towards the grey fox, Cinnamon was standing before her and wanting to play. "Not now. I have to train. You know that as much as me. Maybe you should go train." Cin thought about it for a moment before she walked away, changing her mind on bothering Morticia. With a soft roll of eyes towards Cinnamon, she focused once again. Slowly, she started to build up to it and more things were rattling and slowly sliding towards her. Once she felt the cold metal up against her leg, she was done. With a soft smile, she leaned down and pick up the metals and put them back, cleaning up so to speak.
[ Jiton [ Magnet Release ] Learned ]

Rolled the scroll up, she opened another one and this one would be hard. Maybe she should go outside, it might be slightly easier. Placed the scroll she used earlier up on the shelf, Morticia grabbed the new one and went outside. Opened it up, she slowly read over it. Interesting. She had read up on the bloodline but was that all it really took? Sat down on the sand, thanking the fact that she has tight underwear on so she won't have sand in the unspeakable places, she started to focus. Maybe she should start out small, like the scroll said and then try to work her way up. She placed her hand on the normal sand and focused as the certain doton came up that she needed. In her mind, she imagine metal nails. Sure enough, she had created one. With a soft smile, she then wanted to change the nails into a screw. It became sorter with a twisted part on the bottom. Not bad. Part of her wonders how hard this was. She wanted to test it some how. Should she grab a hammer and smash it, see what happens? Hmm. Placed it in her pocket, she decided to try for something much bigger. She glanced around. What? What is this bigger thing should she try? The raven haired female caught a shinobi training with his kunai. Of course. Duh. With that shape in mind, she focused and the iron sand had surrounded her for a moment before placing a kunai on her hands. What was the difference between her kunai and the regular ones? Only if she had someone from Jiton to ask the questions. Maybe she will one day or she could just simply test it herself. Alright. The Kunai was done, she should try something much bigger. With a slow exhale, she focused as the kunai was broken down and she added more iron sand, shaping it into a small axe. With a smile, she examined the axe for a bit. The handle was smooth. It was a good thing she had gloves, it would help her grip better. She couldn't imagine if her palms was sweaty and the axe would go flying off target that was for sure. That was a scary thought. She would have to make sure that her gloves were always in good shape. Maybe she should buy those gloves with the bumps on the bottom to help her grip against slippering things smooth. Feeling quite accomplished, she dissolved the axe and took the scroll with her as she headed back inside to do some more training with her bloodline.
[ Satetsu Soushi [ Iron Sand Creation ] Learned! ]

Placed the scroll back to the shelves, she glanced over at the table where she had remaining scrolls. Geez. She still had a bit more to learn. She rather be practicing some of the taijutsu but she knew that learning this was just as important. Especially if someone was to happen with her weapons, she could simply use her own bloodline. Speaking of weapons, she wonder if that tall guy, the smaller one, not the hulk that was blocking the doorway, was actually going to go to the dojo and help her train with the staff. Oh. Crap. She better learn how to use her techniques fast so that way she can head over to dojo. It would be rude if she make a higher up wait and she would hate to think what would they do to her. With that in mind, she hasty made her way to the table and grabbed one of the scrolls. With a mental groan, she headed to outside once again and wondered if this would work. Sunagakure was made out of sand and a bit of iron. Would there be other elements too? How can she differ the differences between the elements? Welllll there was no other way to learn that was for. Sat down on the sand, once again, she glanced towards the scrolls which had different components of the metals. Figured she would try copper first, she focused on the doton and raiton. Sure enough, funny smell reached to her nose as she slightly twitched it. Why do coppers always have that odd smell? She made a copper nail. Having an idea, she set the copper nail aside. Okay. Bronze was next, an odd brown metal. She played with the bronze nail for a moment before placing it by the copper. Her eyes glanced towards the scroll to see what was next. Whoops. She accidentally scrolled over a few metals. Decided to use two hands, she had zinc in one and brass in the other. She placed them by the nails. It was always fascinating how they were so different yet, a bit the same. More like same class. This reminded her that it goes the same for shinobi. All of them are part of Sunagakure but none of them are the same. Light grey hues glanced towards the last two metals. Ah. The expensive ones, silver and gold. She focused and it was then she realized that this was taking longer. Was it because there's less silver and gold in the world? Hmm. Finally, there was enough to make the nails as she placed them with the others. For some reason, out of all the metals she made, she really likes brass and silver. With a wave of her hand, the metals faded to their original state and was returned. Got up, she wiped her hands and her butt to remove as much sand as she could and headed back inside after grabbing the scroll.
[ Sakin [ Gold Dust ] Learned! ]

Once she read the next scroll, at least this one seemed simple enough. When she memorized it, she headed outside. Focused, she created a shruiken by using her bloodline. This bloodline was awesome. Part of her wishes she knows her family, the other part was fine never knowing. Morticia shook her head out of that thought and went to find a dummy. Once she found one, she decided to create some metal around it. Stepped backwards, she did the single handseal and threw the shruiken as it hit the dummy and sure enough, everything clinged to it. Whoa.
Toroi's Magnetic Shuriken [ Unnamed ]

Headed back inside, she put the scroll up. At least nine more to go! It seemed that she was grabbing the easier ones first. That was alright with her. Grabbed the next scroll she read it, and then frowned. She never did like guns and all that kind of mechanical crap. There was no need for it to be honest. With a deep sigh, she has to admit, learning something like this could end up being important. With a groan, she rolled up the scroll and shoved it back into the shelf. She glanced towards Cinnamon to make sure she was doing okay, Cinnamon was now sleeping upside down with her mouth slightly hanging open. With a roll of her eyes, Morticia headed outside and started to have the iron sand wrapped around her finger. Aimed at the dummy, she 'fired' a few bullets to the dummy. Well. She would have to admit, it was pretty fast and quick so overall, not a bad technique.
[ Hagane Dama [ Iron Bullet ] Learned! ]

Headed back inside, Morticia remained focused and she knew she got some more to go. She thought she heard another person training in the other room but wasn't too sure. It was the Academy after all, people were going to come and go. With a shrug of her shoulders, Morticia grabbed the next scroll and read over it. Ah. This one was meant to be a good defense technique but would it actually help her? She didn't understand it too well, was this technique supposed to help her if someone was to hit her with a specific kind of weapons? There was only one way to know. She spent some time memorizing the hand seals. It took a bit but she finally did. Once she did, she rolled it up and once again, placed another scroll onto the shelf. She mentally visual the hand seals over and over again. She stopped in her tracks and groaned softly as she realized that she had forgotten a bit of it. Just great. With a grumble, she headed back to the shelves and grabbed the scroll, decided to take it along with her in case she would forget once again. Glanced around outside, she tried to find some metal or weapons that were at least iron. Upon finding them, she placed them in odd and awkward positions on the dummy. Okay. That should work pretty good. She did the hand seals and felt the chakra slightly pulsing out of her hand. She decided to push it out some more, just to be sure, and walked towards the dummy and the weapons were pushed away. Huh. It does work. Her eyebrow rose as she admired it for a moment before heading back inside.

Cinnamon's ears twitched slightly as it heard footsteps. The kit raised her head as she saw the man she saw earlier, the one that wasn't mean to her at least. Getting up and stretched, she let out a small squeak as she approached the man. She did a twirl around, chased her tail for a moment before tilting her head up as high as she possibly could with him being so tall and lowered her ears before letting out this odd screeching sounds, trying to get him understand that she wants to play.

The moment Morticia walked back in, she heard Cinnamon and frowned as she poked her head into the room and saw that guy that mentioned he would train her with the bo staff. Sure! Why the hell not!? Quickly and a bit excited, she shoved the remaining scrolls she had not yet learned into the shelves, grabbed her bo staff that was resting against the corner and heard Cinnamon let out that screeching sound. Ugh. Of course, Cin wanted to play. She just woke up after all. Well the kit was going to learn that she was going have to wait. Entered into the living room, she smiled as she approached the tall dude. "Um. Hi." She started, she remembered what she thought before, why was everyone determined to look so intimidating? And what's up with all that armor and hood and crap? It was too bloody hot for that crap. Morticia was not a fan of the cold and she never will be. "My name is Morticia Sand, that's Cinnamon." She gestured towards the grey fox who stopped screeching and decided to try to chase after a beetle. "What's your name?" She questioned as there would be a thud sound, Cinnamon miscalculated her pounce and ended up hitting the table's leg with her head. Morticia didn't even budge. It seemed she was used to Cinnamon's antics.

Theo heard a kind of squeaky screech near his feet and looked down to see the little gray fox looking up at him like it wanted to play. Chuckling softly to himself, the big man kneeled down to scratch the little animal behind the ear when he noticed the girl who’s partner he assumed the fox was walk over to him and looked back up to meet her eyes, “Oh hey, nice to meet you Morticia, well, officially I guess,” Theo would chuckle again at the mental image of her sprawled in the puddle of fox piss earlier. “I’m Theodin, most folks just call me Theo. There something you need, or want help with?” As the fox ran off after a beetle, the jounin would stand back up, crossing his arms loosely inside the sleeves of his robe.

Cinnamon let out a happy chatter kind of noise as he scratched Cinnamon behind her ears before she went off to play. "It's nice to meet you Theo-san. Yes, you mentioned earlier, about being able to help me learn to fight better with my bo staff. If you are okay with that, should we go to the dojo?" She questioned towards him, seemed to be a bit impatient to learn something new. The quick to speak, her body shifting the weight from left and right were good signs that she was energetic and a bit impatient. One good news, she doesn't stink anymore so she must've showered earlier. Yes her bloodline was cool but she could care less. All she wanted to be was to be a better close combat fighter and as well extremely good with bo staff and hopefully get the weapon of her dreams some day.

Seeing the girl appearing sort of twitchy, Theo figured she was impatient, not uncommon in newly minted genin, Theo smirked softly, “So you wanna learn to use your staff better? Alright, I can show you the style I know, but first, I wanna know a bit about you. It helps me tailor training to the student a bit. Do you know your chakra elements? Any kekkei genkai? How do you prefer to fight?” Theo would chuckle at the little fox running into stuff chasing the beetle before letting out a quick breath laced with chakra. Morticia would see a black cloud leave the big man’s mouth and form into a small mouse which would run over and bump into the fox before going back towards Theo’s feet, trying to lure the fox back to them.

"It's kind of hard to see what you are thinking or doing underneath that hood." Morticia commented, almost whining a bit but it was still in a respectful tone. She always believed in eye contact, that helps build relationships and if he was going to be her teacher, she would like to develop trust with him and many other Sunagakure shinobi. She nodded rather rapidly and excitedly to answer his questions and almost frowned when he seemed to ask more questions but she knew better than to be snarky, she was a respectful person after all. Though a bit impatient. Not to mention, the questions have a good point to it. "Don't know much about my bloodline but we found through DNA means at the hospital that I am from Jiton bloodline. I love to fight hand to hand combat, kickboxing, and bo staff. Though my biggest goal would to have a double speared staff that can be taken apart and be used as twin blades, so there's that too." She smiled as she can imagine it in her head already. Morticia rose an eyebrow and took a step back, her knees slightly bent as the black cloud just out of the blue, randomly appeared. It took the form of a small mouse. Cinnamon felt the bump as it let out a puzzled groan before getting really excited, ears down, body down low to the ground and loud chattering signs as she chased after the mouse. Morticia brought the palm to her face and sighed. Someone was going have to teach the fox how to hunt quietly for ******** sake. And that someone was her. The noisy kit was now between Theo's feet, wiggling her butt to pounce onto the mouse.

“Hmm, Jiton, eh? Like my old teacher Sanshi... so your basic elements would be raiton and doton, cool. And that’s a pretty cool idea, the whole double tipped spear that comes apart into swords... hopefully you’ll be able to get one of those one day. Alright, lets head over to the dojo.” Theo would quickly reach down and grab the little fox between his feet before stepping closer to Morticia, crushing his mouse golem in the process. Pushing his hood back off his head, he’d then place his hand lightly on the girl’s shoulder, “Sorry, forgot I had that on still.Lets head to the dojo.” With that, Morticia might feel a quick surge of chakra as Theo reverse summoned them both to the dojo, their forms vanishing in puffs of smoke from the academy.

Kaori strolled into the academy, head held high as she observed the room that she spent more time in since becoming a full fledged shinobi than she even had as an actual student here. She saw Theo, and the girl with the fox. As well as the white haired genin that hadn't really spoken while she had been in the hallway of the Kazekage's building. They were all hard at work, or dealing with the younger shinobi in Theo's case. It was business as usual in here, it seemed. She turned and motioned for Derych to join her off to the side, away from the rest. She would make sure that her training would not interfere with his, but she wanted to stay close enough to him, since she remembered well his desire to spar with her once he was a full shinobi of the Sand. "I know you've seen this place before, but welcome to the Academy. I'll let you get to your training, I'll be off to the side a bit more working on bonding with the cats I can now summon, if you need me, come grab me."

Nova rumbled deep in her chest before she found a patch of sunlight, and flopped down with enough force that there was a very loud thud that echoed throughout the room, and the floor even vibrated a little bit under her weight. Nova stretched out and got as much of her pale golden fur into the light as she could, and began to take a cat nap. The tip of her tail flicked every now and then.

Looking around noticing a few he saw from the office, he was more taking in the scene of this location. Many a days he just sat and watched people train without the ability to do so. It was time to finally learn some s**t. "Now the welcome means something! I can learn something for a change. Ohh and don't you worry about me. We'll have to exchange some fists later on, you don't know how curious I am to see what a cute girl like you has to back it up with. Don't worry about putting me into the ground, I can take it." He said with a smirk to her. "You have fun, try not to turn the area into a litterbox!" He couldn't help but poke fun at the fact she was now the cat summoner, as she put it, He did, however, look forward to seeing some giant animals about, "You too Nova, take care!" He gave a light wave hand gesture to them both as he made his way to the Doton scrolls

Kaori nodded to Derych and gave him an encouraging smile. She knew he'd been waiting a long time for this day to come, so she was rather proud that he had gotten this far. He would be the first that had succeeded under her watchful eye. All others, something or another had befallen them. Kaori shook her head to rid herself of the foul mood those thoughts tended to put her in. Now was not the time, now was the time to bond with her new summons. She took out the scroll needed to summon the Wild Cats and moved off a good ways away from anyone training. They would see all the cats as she summoned them, but this way they would be safe. "We'll have to see if you're up to fighting me." Kaori called to Derych with a wink before she settled and got to work.

Nova huffed as she watched the humans from her nice warm sunny spot and gave the tiger version of a smirk. She was glad to see Kaori smiling more. Her partner had been far too melancholy as of late and Nova was running out of ideas on how to fix it. It seemed all Kaori had needed was a new goal, and perhaps some friends that she saw on a daily basis. This would be good for the girl, Nova thought.

Kaori read the scroll, memorizing the names of all the summons and their rolls as she hummed to herself. She was aware of Derych off to the side, as well as Nova laying in a large patch of sunlight. And she was vaguely aware of the others in the area, though they were all a ways off from her so she did not factor them in too closely. She sighed and rolled up the scroll, then bit her thumb and slammed her hand onto the ground, summoning the lowest ranking cat of the group. [1/2] The cat was large, for a cat, about the size of a human teenager; and had pure silver fur. The cat stretched lazily and licked it’s chops before even bothering to look at Kaori, “Oh, are you the new summoner?” Kaori smiled slightly and nodded, clearly this one would be a little work, "My name is Kaori Raigyo, Toragetsu trained me to be the Sage of your summoning Pact." The cat looked at her for a long moment before curling back up and looking at Kaori, ”Toragetsu, hm? You must have really impressed to have earned his favor. Well, I am Korona, and I am the bringer of fortune and prosperity. You have my loyalty.” [2/2]

Kaori bowed to Korona before she gave him a gentle pet and dismissed him, after explaining that at the moment she was just forming bonds with each of them. Korona simply nodded and vanished in a puff of smoke. Kaori inhaled and then slammed her palm into the ground again. This time a cheetah cub poofed into existence, and immediately began to zoom around the room. [1/2] Kaori shook her head and placed her fingers to her mouth, then let out a piercing whistle that always worked on Nova. The little cheetah cub zoomed over to Kaori, but couldn’t stop in time, skidding on the floor and knocking into Kaori herself, causing her to go down, and the cheetah to let out a startled yelp. [2/2] Kaori shook her head and picked herself, and the cub, up, "Hello, you. I’m Kaori. And I believe by your entrance that you would be Flash, yes?” She asked with a smile. The cheetah cub nodded, clearly still excited to have been summoned, ”My name is Flash! I specialize in Raiton techniques!” Kaori chuckled and put the excited cub down before patting his head and explaining what she was doing by summoning them all one by one. The cub nodded and rubbed up against her before he poofed back to his island.

Kaori summoned the next cats in the listing. This time, a pair of miniature white tigers popped out of the smoke. They were far smaller than Nova herself was, but that would be to their advantage. Especially since these two were the spies of the contract. [1/4] Kaori smiled as the twin tigers bounded over and around her. These two were clearly mischievous and looking for trouble already the instant they were summoned. She chuckled and shook her head, "Hey there, you two. My name is Kaori, and I’m the new Sage for you and your streak.” [2/4] The tiger twins bound over to her and looked her over. They shared identical tiger-smiles as they looked her in the face, ”I’m Yin-“ ”And I’m Yang!” Together the two of then bowed slightly, falling into a play position. ”Together we control suiton and doton jutsu, and we’re the spies of the streak!” They chimed together. [3/4] Kaori smiled softly and reached forward with both hands and pet each of them. They both rumbled and rubbed against her hands, more than happy to accept her pets and bond with her. Kaori smiled at them again and shook her head before she pet them both once more and then dismissed them back home. [4/4]

Kaori once more bit her thumb and summoned the next feline in the pact. She had to pretty rapidly step back to give him more room, he was huge, about the size of a small building. It was a good thing the buildings in Suna were made to handle such things. [1/6] Kaori shook her head and smiled up at the massive lion. His mane was a pretty deep green, while his body fur was nearly white. He looked down at Kaori and rumbled, loud enough to shake the very academy down to its foundation. [2/6] ”And you are?” His voice was deep, so deep and booming that if Kaori didn’t know any better Kaori would think that he was the leader of the Cats instead of Toragetsu. [3/6] She looked up at him and bowed slightly, "I am Kaori. I earned the right to summon all of you from Toragetsu. And I trained with Toragetsu to become the Sage.” She kept her head held high, showing him that she respected him, but that she would not be cowed by him just because of his size. [4/6] He stared at her for a long, tense moment, before he nodded as if in approval, ”I am Chales. I am the tracker of our streak. I also work with Genjutsu and Doton, as well as Maruton.” He explained to her as he settled down, laying so that Kaori wouldn’t have to look quite so far up. [5/6] Kaori still had to look up at Chales, but that was to be expected considering his size. She reached up and began to run her fingers through his fur, petting and caressing him. Chales began the big cat version of a purr, since they didn’t have the muscles needed to actually purr. He was clearly quite happy with the attention. [6/6] Finally, after a few minutes, Chales got up, shook himself off, and poofed back to the Cat’s Savannah.

Kaori inhaled and took several more steps back, preparing now to summon the larger summons. She bit her thumb, thankful her teeth; while not fangs, were sharper than those of a non-tamer shinobi. It made the breaking of her own skin far easier. [1/8] The next summon was even larger than Chales, since he was the size of a building, this one was the size of a village plaza. [1/8] This cat was pure white, had two tails, and golden eyes on a field of black. In a word, she was gorgeous. And Kaori could tell that she knew it too. The big cat practically pranced into existence in the academy. Kaori shook her head but inclined her head to the big cat. [2/8] The cat turned and looked at her, growling lightly. Kaori huffed and placed her hands on her hips, as if daring the cat to continue to growl at her. [3/8] The cat flopped down, making the entire academy shake once more, and stared at Kaori for a long tense moment. It was clear the cat wasn’t too impressed with Kaori at first glance. But Kaori would change that. [4/8] Kaori walked up to the big cat and did her best to look her in the eye, "My name is Kaori Raigyo. I’ve worked with Toragetsu and earned the right to be the Sage of the Wild Cats.” She said, voice crystal clear and confident. She had her head held high and she was not afraid of the cat in front of her. She knew the work she had done. And she knew that she could get to this feline. [5/8] The massive white cat looked Kaori over with her gold on black eyes before she huffed slightly and lowered her head so that Kaori was about even with her nose, ”Fine. I suppose if you have earned the favor of Toragetsu, then you can slowly earn mine as well. I saw you, you know. In the Savannah. Not once did you disturb the natural ecosystem. Or attempt to harm anything there. You are not like most humans I have known.” [6/8] Kaori bowed slightly and gave the massive cat a smile, "I do not seek power simply for the sake of power, nor do I seek it to destroy simply for the sake of destroying. I wish to protect. And to protect those who can not protect themselves, or my loved ones to prevent them from having to fight and die for causes; just or imagined, I need the power I have sought and earned.” [7/8] Kaori would not mince words, she meant what she said and said what she meant. She was honest in her wishes, and honest in why she sought to get stronger and gain power. Frost would either admire or shun that as she would, but she could not deny it. Frost bowed her head, pressing her chin into the ground, before she nodded, ”Very well. I shall honor your words and hold you to them. You face me if you betray yourself.” Kaori nodded and watched as Frost vanished back to the Savannah. [8/8]

Kaori took a deep breath and whipped the sweat from her brow. Summoning all these Wild Cats back to back was a little tiring, even for her. But it would be worth it, this way she wouldn’t have to try and attempt this in battle, or try and get a cat to do what she requested of them. This way, there would be no fights, no bickering, just cooperation. [1/10] She took a deep breath and then summoned the next on the list, the very cat she had learned to be a Sage from, the Mighty Lord of the Cats. Toragetsu was even larger than Frost, easily the size of any of the tailed beasts, so the academy had to rapidly expand to accommodate his size, but it did. Kaori shook her head with a smile, still to this day amazed by the Ingenuity of the buildings of Suna. [2/10] Toragetsu lowered himself, regally, to lay on the ground and look at Kaori, ”Hello, little Summoner. I see you have summoned me, after summoning all by the highest ranking among us. Working your way from the ground up, are you?” Kaori smiled up at the Tiger and nodded, "Yes, Lord Toragetsu. I’ve been introducing myself properly and forming bonds with all of your people. I wish to become friends and colleagues with all of you. You were next in line, and after you, I will face Don Sphynx and Dragon Li.” [3/10] Toragetsu nodded his large head and rumbled, clearly pleased with Kaori’s work ethic and diligence. His simple rumble was enough to rattle the very windows of the building, and to shake the walls and floor under everyone’s feet as he did so. But Kaori didn’t mind, it was soothing in its own way. Though others might not see it that way. [4/10] Toragetsu was huge, to untried Genin or even high ranked Shinobi his size alone could be terrifying. Kaori liked it though. She was used to Nova being bigger than her own five feet after all. And she loved felines, so his size was not an issue for her. She walked up to his paws and sat down between them. She smiled as she crossed her legs and began to meditate, gathering Sage chakra as she and Toragetsu spent silent time together. [5/10] Toragetsu closed his eyes and rumbled as he focused on Kaori. She had passed the Sage training, but that did not mean he was not going to still watch her to make sure she did not gather too much Sage chakra. [6/10] Kaori was in a relaxed sitting position, leaning against Toragetsu’s giant paw, really she was so small compared to him it was more like she was leaning against a single toe. As she continued to meditate, Toragetsu watched her. It was clear to him she was close to felines, and he had noticed a female tiger, larger than normal but far smaller than himself; over to the side. [7/10] It was in the way that she carried herself, and in the way she responded to other felines than himself. Nova opened an eye and looked up at Toragetsu, and Toragetsu looked at her in return. In that moment, the two came to something of an agreement and turned from each other. [8/10] Kaori opened her eyes and looked up at Toragetsu for a moment, catching him and Nova looking at each other. She shook her head and hid a smile by ducking her head to hide her face. She was amused byt their interaction, and knew they would basically pretend to ignore each other from this point forward. [9/10] But that they would really be looking out for each other just the same as she looked out for them, and they looked out for her. She shook her head again as she thought about them, then stood up and streatched. She turned to Toragetsu, who nodded to her and stood as well before he stretched his front paws out in front of himself. He stood, nodded his head and then poofed back to the Savannah. [10/10]

Kaori took a moment to herself and sighed as she stood there. Even though she wasn’t fighting, summoning one Wild Cat after another, back to back, the way she was was exhausting. But she was happy though, because she was gaining friends. She was learning, and she was growing. [1/12] She inhaled deeply and looked around, looking at Derych and Nova. Theo and the girl with the fox had been there earlier, right when she came in, but had left before she had the chance to begin to do anything. So really it was her, Nova and Derych in the academy at the moment. [2/12] Well, now was the true test. She was going to summon the highest-ranking cats in the entire Summon Pact. Don Sphynx and Dragon Li, the Sage Summons. They were a mated pair, similar to some of the other Summons she’d read about. [3/12] She hoped that Don Sphinx and Dragon Li would approve of her, but she had no way of being sure. All she could do was try her best and hope and pray. She inhaled deeply and closed her eyes as she bit her thumb one last time. [4/12] She slammed her palm onto the ground and watched as the tell tale smoke popped into existence. Out of the smoke came two cats, one male, one female. They were smaller than even the other cats had been, they would be able to curl up on Kaori’s shoulders if they so chose. [5/12] Kaori sat down, sitting on her knees with her palms on her knees. The two elder felines stopped and looked at Kaori for a long, silent, moment. Then looked at each other. Then they turned toward Kaori once more. ”I am Don Sphinx.” ”And I am Dragon Li. Together we are the Sages of the Wild Cats. But considering you managed to summon us, you already knew that, didn’t you?” [6/12] Kaori bowed her head to them, "I am Kaori Raigyo. I have been working my way through the pact, formally introducing myself to each one of you. I have trained with Lord Toragetsu and become the Sage of this Pact. I wish to now attempt to form a bond with the two of you.” [7/12] The two cats looked at Kaori for a long moment, not blinking even once. Kaori didn’t blink as she stared back. She would not back down, of all of the Pact, this was the most important. They were the Sages of this Pact. This was the final step she needed. Dragon Li sighed and batted at her mate, ”Alright, enough of this. She’s clearly worked hard to get this far!” [8/12] Kaori blinked in surprise, but didn’t say anything as Don Sphynx turned to Dragon Li and growled, ”We have a responsibility as the Sages of this Pact to be mysterious and all knowing! And you just ruined it woman!” Kaori had to bite her lip, nearly hard enough to draw blood, in an effort to not start laughing right there. This was pure gold, and honestly not something she had expected at all. [9/12] Kaori shook her head and inhaled. Dragon Li and Don Sphynx, to Kaori’s absolute amusement, spent the next nearly thirty minutes bickering like the married couple they were. She shook her head, and changed her position slightly, just to get more comfortable as she watched them. [10/12] Finally, they seemed to settle down just a little bit. Kaori lifted her chin slightly, though in a respectful manner, and smiled at them, "Have I passed your test, Sages?” She asked with a repressed smile. Dragon Li huffed at her Mate, but nodded to Kaori. [11/12] ”Yes, Dear. You have. Toragetsu vouches for you, you’ve convinced Frost to follow you. You were kind to Yin, Yang and Flash. You are clearly one who respects the felines and our power.” Kaori did smile then. Finally, she had passed all the tests required of her, for now. She bowed to both the Sages once more and let out a purr of her own, something she was only capable of doing thanks to her connection with Nova. [12/12] Both of the Sages nodded to her before they vanished in a puff of smoke to return to the Cat’s Savannah. Kaori sighed and walked over to Nova, and just sat down, leaning against her long time friend, and turned to watch Derych train. If he needed her, he would come to her.

Having finished his extensive training on some Doton jutsu he was more then just a bit impressed. Knowing he had such ability at his fingertips but never realized it till now was quite eye-opening. Derych would have been seen testing out his jutsu. He had to work a bit to get some mud out of the sand but with a bit of help of his previous training in his earthen jutsu he had little problems. Smearing some of it on himself, trying to keep it semi smooth so it didn't look horrible. Channeling some doton chakra it began to harden like a rock breastplate. He was now wearing the hardened breastplate as well as the bracers. He honestly felt like he was in some mystical land, all of these new techniques.. abilities, creatures. It was all too much. The attractive woman that had been keeping an eye on him to make sure he wasn't causing any issues was quite literally talking and playing with giant cats. He was unsure if he would ever get used to it but at the same time the magical feel it all gave was.. abnormal. In a good way. Derych cleaned his hands off from the mud and began to whip the sweat out of his hair. It was a bit more messy then usual as he was satisfied just for the moment on what he had learned. He believed in learning how to work his equipment before he took on more and he applied the same mentality to his jutsu. Making his way over to Kaori, not knowing any of the others in the area at least on a personal level. "Sooo uhh... giant cats huh. I mean I know your tiger was, well... very large but that takes things to a whole new level." It wasn't that he was uneasy talking to Kaori but it was more that he was still adjusting to this place, to the way things just broke the normal way he was used to everything working.

Kaori looked up towards the ceiling as she thought for a moment. She still had a little training she could be doing, she supposed. But she was very much just as much a cat as Nova was. Which was to say she tended to have a lazy streak when war was not involved. Or killing things. She smirked slightly and shook her head before she patted Nova’s haunches and then stood up. She walked over to a dummy and rolled her neck on her shoulders before she moved forward, closer to the dummy. She took a simple stance and lashed out with the proper form, and punched the dummy in, had it been a living person, what would have been its jaw. [1/1] She continued to punch a few times. It wasn’t exactly something new, but it was always a good idea to work on brushing up on old knowledge. She leaned back on one foot and snapped her back foot forward. Her kick solidly connected with the dummy in front of her, and she had enough power behind it that it went flying. [1/1] She shook her head and smiled slightly before she moved to another dummy and sized it up. She unsheathed her claws and looked at the for a moment. [1/1] She smirked and lashed out with an open palm, slashing the wooden dummy with her razor-sharp claws. She slashed four deep furrows into the wooden face and nodded to herself. [1/3] Kaori unsheathed the claws on her toes and bounced on the balls of her feet, listening to the click of her claws on the ground as she did so. She grinned almost savagely as she performed a roundhouse kick to the dummy in front of her. [2/3] The dummy was struck across the throat, exactly where she had been aiming, and flew to the floor. Had it been a real person, their throat would have been ripped out with the savagery with which she had kicked it. [3/3] Kaori shook her head and bounced in place a little more. Thinking as she kept her muscles nice and warmed up. She continued to throw punched and kicks, careful to not tear her own skin with her claws. [1/4] She was having some fun, actually. It had been a while since she had cut loose like this. Not since her spar with Theo, and that one battle with the UHV. [2/4] And this wasn’t even really cutting loose. At least, not truly. She was training, sure, but not really letting loose. She continued to throw kick after kick and punch after punch at the dummy. The dummy slammed into the wall behind it when she lashed out with another kick. [3/4] Kaori didn’t even slow down, instantly moving to lunge and feint. She made her way behind yet another dummy and landed on one foot, she twisted her body so her hips were at an angle to her shoulders, and slammed her foot into the dummy. [4/4] The sole of her foot slammed into what would be the back of the head of the dummy. She landed on one foot and used her momentum to vault over the dummy and land on its shoulders. She then twisted her body so that her hands were around the neck of the dummy. [1/5] She dug her claws into the ‘throat’ of the dummy and twisted her entire body. The twisting of her body led to the twisting of her hands. Which then caused her claws to bite deeper into the would be flesh of her victim. [2/5] She dug the claws of her feet into the shoulders of the dummy and used the muscles in her legs to press into the dummy. With the torsion of her upper body and the pressure of her lower body, the head of the dummy came clean off. [3/5] She looked at the head of the dummy and shook her head with a slight smile. She began to stretch her hands, sheathing and unsheathing her claws as she tried to imagine other ways to make her enemies bleed. [4/5] Kaori shook her head and twisted around, showing off her flexibility once more, and slammed her foot into another dummy, sending it flying into the wall behind it. She walked over to the dummy and chuckled slightly at the gouges deep in the wood of the chest of the dummy. [5/5]

Kaori sat down, a little way away from Nova and Derych, and began to stretch, leaving her claws unsheathed on both hands and feet. Once she was good and limber, she planted her hands firmly on the ground and then used her core strength to pull her lower body above her head into a handstand. [1/1] E She then moved her feet down, over herself, so that she was now in a bridge position. Kaori lifted one foot and twisted herself around so that she looked like she was playing some kind of game of twister. [1/1] D She placed both feet firmly on the ground once more and then walked her hands closer to her feet. She then once more used her core strength to pull her upper body up, so that she was now standing. She stood in place, with her feet shoulder width apart, and twisted at the hips for a moment. [1/1] C She nodded and took a running stance, kneeled with both hands on the ground, one knee slightly lifted, and then launched herself forward. [1/3] She used the dummies and benches that were around as obstacles. Kaori ran at a dummy and jumped at the last moment, wrapping her legs around the dummy’s shoulders and using her momentum to twist around the body of the dummy and bring it down to the ground. [2/3] She used her hands, as she was falling, to catch herself. She then vaulted herself into the air and twisted in midair. With the twist, she then landed on her feet, still running. [3/3] The cat-woman didn’t bother to slow down, keeping herself at her top sustainable speed. She ran at a wall and used her speed and the claws on her feet so that she could run up the wall. [1/4] She flipped off of the wall over a dummy and lunched herself into the air with her trajectory. With her hands she gripped an exposed beam in the ceiling and swung herself up with her momentum. [2/4] Kaori then, with the aid of her claws, monkey-barred across the ceiling and then swung herself up and wrapped her legs around another ceiling beam. [3/4] Kaori hung there for a moment, before she let go and twisted in midair to land on the shoulders of a dummy. With that same momentum, she flipped the dummy over and landed again. [4/4]

Now it was time to focus on focusing. She settled down and closed her eyes, falling into a meditative state. But she kept her eyes open and focused on Nova and Derych. Kaori watched Derych as he moved through the academy. He held himself like the soldier she knew he was. [1/1] Judging by the way he carried himself, and working with him over the past year, she knew that he preferred hand to hand combat. But he was capable with a combat knife. She hummed thoughtfully as she tried to figure out how he would react in a spar. [1/1] She shook her head and smiled slightly. She could easily imagine he would think his years as a soldier of the UHV would benefit him, on top of beginning to learn his jutsu properly. [1/1] He was taller than herself, and of a heavier body frame. He carried far more muscle than she did. Meaning he would be stronger than her physically. But she had her claws. [1/1] And her claws gave her superior grip strength. And with her grip strength she also had the ability to twist and turn in her own skin, just like a cat could. And that just meant that she was much harder to get into a hold. [1/1] She knew that she also had a larger repertoire of jutsu at her disposal. But that wasn’t always everything, she was well aware. It would all come down to who played the game better. [1/1]

Kaori stood up and stretched a moment before she walked over to the wall that held some training weapons. She looked it over with a critical eye before she smirked a somewhat disturbing smirk. There was one weapon she had always been fascinated with, she had vague memories of her mother using one. Her father had preferred the scythe. She was quite pleased to see one here. She grabbed the coiled whip off of the wall. She smiled and uncoiled the weapon. [1/1] Her smirk became a smile at the sound of the crack of the whip. She took some time to get a proper feel for the tricky weapon. Kaori twisted and began to twirl the whip around her body. [1/1] Once she was able to change the direction of the spin at will, she changed tactics. She sighed and turned towards a dummy. Now that she was more comfortable with the weapon, she would try out how it would work on some targets. [1/1] Kaori looked at the dummy she was targeting and flicked her wrist. The whip wrapped around the dummy’s torso, and she smirked as she then wrapped the whip around her wrist and placed her foot on the lower portion of the whip. [1/3] The extra tugs made the whip wrap even tighter around the dummy. She yanked on the whip and watched as the dummy moved several inches. She smirked and nodded, pleased. [2/3] She flicked her wrist again, and made the whip release the dummy. Kaori was silent for a moment before she dropped to the floor, in something resembling a split, and lashed out with the whip. The whip wrapped around the base of the dummy, that would have been the knees of a living person. Kaori wrapped the whip around her arm, up to her elbow, and tugged, which pulled the dummy onto its face. [3/3] She stood back up and, with a snap, recoiled the whip. Kaori then turned and took a running start. She leapt up into the air and snapped the whip out, down below her own body that was now parallel to the ground. [1/4] She landed on the ground and lashed out with the whip, then twisted so that it coiled back into her hand without harming her. Kaori spun around, keeping her whip spinning to her left. She spun and used her elbow and shoulder to twist the whip around to her other side, where she then used her shoulder to increase the momentum. [2/4] With the increased momentum she lashed out, snapping into the air. The tip of the whip snapped near the side of a dummy’s hip, right where she had been aiming. Had it been a living thing with arms and hands, the whip would have hit the thing’s hand. [3/4] Had it been holding a weapon, the force of the whip snapping against its skin it would have dropped the weapon. It was clear to Kaori that she was learning to handle this weapon with some skill. Perhaps one day she’d be as good as she vaguely remembered her mother being. [4/4] Kaori snapped the whip upwards, and when it wrapped around one of the ceiling beams, she used it to swing up and over, to land on the very beam she had wrapped the whip around. [1/5] Once up on the rafter, she rewrapped the whip around the rafter and then twisted off of the beam. She used the whip almost like a rope to swing on, twisting in the air like an aerial acrobat showing off their skills. [2/5] Kaori, upon free falling, snapped her arm out, and made the whip coil through the air like a snake seeking prey. The whip snapped against a dummy’s face, which sent the dummy crashing into the wall behind it with the force and momentum that Kaori had used. [3/5] Kaori landed on her feet, as any good feline would, and twisted on the ball of one foot. She used her shoulder to redirect where the whip would go, causing it to shoot to the side and slam into another dummy. [4/5] Kaori chuckled and nodded to herself. She was getting a wicked idea for a weapon, but she would leave that for another day. She would have to make a trip to Takumi, after the memorial service for Sonyo, since she had not forgotten Ayame saying one would be held. But after, she had some more work to do. [5/5]

Kaori sighed and walked over to the wall of weapons once more. This time, it was to return the whip she had borrowed. It was simply in bad form to sit there and take something from the academy without permission. Especially when she could simply buy what was needed. She hummed, in pretty good spirits all things considered. [1/1] She looked around and closed her eyes before she sighed and leaned against the wall behind her. She had done quite a bit of work, and yet, she still had so much more. Kaori was nothing, if not a hard worker though. So she could do this. [1/1] She turned once more to watch Derych. Once more she observed him, he was the only other one in the academy at the moment, and he wasn’t hard on the eyes by any means. [1/1] She watched as he read over the scroll he had grabbed for, she assumed, was either his clan jutsu for a refresher. Or Doton to learn that. She knew that Doton and Katon maid for the explosions that the Bakuton bloodline was known for. [1/1] She stayed leaning against the wall, but her eyes were open now, and as unblinking as a tiger stalking its prey. A little known fact about Kaori was that she was capable of being as still as needed. [1/3] She was very much a tiger, without being born an actual cat. And with being a feline came the unending patience to stalk prey. And right now, that was Derych. [2/3] At least in the sense that she was using his training to further her own. She smirked slightly and tilted her head to the side as she watched him read and absorb the knowledge those deceptively small scrolls held. [3/3] By watching him, she could read quite a lot about the man. Other than the fact that she was almost positive that she could throw a Ryo at his a** and watch it bounce off. He was a soldier, and quite skilled at what he did. [1/4] He was trained well, and took his job seriously, just the same as any Suna shinobi would. Which is why she had deemed him worthy of being a shinobi in the first place. [2/4] And it was on Kaori’s word that Ayame had made him a Shinobi. Sure he was old for being a Genin, but Kaori had been too. She had started late, as far as age had been concerned. [3/4] But she knew age meant little, and he was actually better off than most Genin, since he had actual battle experience to back him up. He would progress through the ranks quickly if he applied himself. [4/4] Kaori pushed off of the wall and began to stalk around the room. A caged tiger. She smirked slightly. He could easily go toe to toe with her as far as strength is concerned. But she would have him on speed, she believed. He was a larger body build than she was, she was shorter, slimmer, and her muscles; though they were very well developed after years of training and combat, were slimmer. [1/5] If he could get her into a hold, which would be difficult, he could keep her there. He was stronger and could overpower her. But she had her claws, which could be quite difficult for him to contend with. [2/5] But also, she had her speed and her reflexes to fall back on. As well as her larger repertoire of ninjutsu. Then there were the seals she was capable of using, and her genjutsu. And then, finally, her bloodline abilities that enabled her to completely alter his mindset and emotions. [3/5] It was fun, trying to imagine the way he would move, based off of his body build. She didn’t mind imagining his movements for other reasons either. He was pretty, and she was far from dead. She certainly hoped he didn’t mind being watched. It should be something he was used to, given that had been her job to do just that. [4/5] She chuckled to herself and shook her head before she smiled slightly and walked over to Nova, patting Nova’s massive head. She hummed as she sat down beside her partner and smiled at the massive tiger, ”Enjoying the sunlight, you lazy cat?” She asked, her eyes never leaving Derych as he got up. [5/5]

One last bit of training, then she would call it, and go shower and change. This time she felt, and it was something that she had been thinking of for a while, it was high time she work on her skill with thrown weapons. Such as the kunai and the shuriken. Or perhaps even some senbon. [1/1] She should probably buy some from Takumi while she was there getting the other things she needed. She reached into her hip pouch and withdrew some kunai. She turned toward a dummy and casually eyed it up. [1/1] Kaori flicked her wrist and watched as the kunai sailed through the air and landed in the dummy’s side. She shook her head and tossed one of the kunai in the air. [1/1] It was aerodynamic, as were all thrown projectiles. The wouldn’t be very accurate if they weren’t after all. She hummed a little tune as she threw the kunai at another dummy. This time it landed directly in the dummy’s face. [1/3] She continued to hum as she moved around and kept tossing more kunai into the air. She walked over to the two dummies she’d hit and retrieved her previously thrown kunai. [2/3] Once she had the kunai back in her hand, she held four in one hand. Almost like a series of cards. She then shook her head and threw her arm in an arc. [3/3] She watched as they flew through the air and smiled slightly at the near perfect flight pattern. One Kunai landed in one of four dummies. Each one right in the neck of the dummy. She hummed and tilted her head to the side with a slight smile. [1/4] That was a good start, now to keep going and make it all better. She had a moment of thinking about combining her projectiles with the whip training from earlier. But she shook her head. That was for another time. [2/4] She put the kunai away and then drew out the shuriken that she owned. Shuriken held an entirely different shape than kunai, and therefore required a completely different flight pattern. [3/4] She held the shuriken between her knuckles and smiled slightly as she took aim once more. Instead of an overhead throw, she took a different approach. This time, she threw the shuriken as if she were skipping rocks across a body of water. [4/4] The shuriken flew through the air just like stones would across water when skipped properly. And they landed in the sides of several dummies. She walked over and retrieved them. [1/5] Upon getting them back she twisted and threw them through the air once more. Just in the opposite direction of before. She watched as they flew through the air and embedded themselves into a hanging log that was typically used for target practice. [2/5] They landed in a zigzag pattern on the log. If she combined a kunai and a whip, she could alter the course of the projectiles in midair without the need for chakra at all. It was an interesting thought, for certain. [3/5] It was worth thinking about, at any rate. She tucked the thought away for the moment and continued training with her throwables. Typically she preferred the up close and personal approach, but she could see the use of them. [4/5] Knowing how to properly use anything and everything at her disposal was a vital part of being a shinobi, a kunoichi. She smiled slightly and shook her head. It was typically a good idea for any shinobi of the Sand. Suna was well known for all the hidden skills, after all. [5/5]

Kaori put her projectiles away and sighed softly as she turned towards Derych when he spoke to her. She smiled at him, this time a true smile, not her ‘I’m happy to be causing chaos’ smile. ”I did tell you I would be bonding with my new friends.” She pointed out with a laugh and a shake of her head. She walked over and grabbed a towel to wipe her face and neck off, ”You did some pretty decent training, learn anything interesting? Or were you just doing a quick refresher?”
