Saiko looked over his shoulder as he heard a girl's voice from behind him. It was someone he didn't know. They had been around the academy but, that was the only place Saiko could remember seeing her around. However, before he could say anything to her, he heard the loud banging coming from the door. The boy would walk over to the door and form a few hand seals. As soon as they were finished he would press his palm against the door. From his palm spread crystals. The entire wall would become one wall of crystal. "Well, what ever they're doing we can't let them do it. Hopefully this will stop them for a little bit." As he was saying this the boy heard a familiar voice. With another look over his shoulder he saw that it was Tetsuhiko. "Always room for one more when defending against enemies." Saiko would say in response to Tetsuhiko as he stepped back from the crystal wall. If the snowmen banged against this wall, they would find that it would repair itself.
Another male joined Hanako and Saiko in their effort to lock-down the academy door which was being slammed upon. "More allies are usually better.", the Kurama Clan Enchantress said softly before she braced herself for the impending possibility that Saiko might fail and combat be inevitable. It was not that she had no faith in her ally's mastery of his kekkai-tota, but more a fact that the illusionist was a realist, choosing not to live in the fantasy realms of her illusions and to focus on the facts. Right now, they seemed hopelessly outnumbered and outgunned.
It then occurred to her, that she had spotted some strange developments using her doujutsu. This could be valuable intelligence, and thus sharing it was at least something she could do beyond genjutsu and sealing off other eye-based techniques briefly. "Note, I have spotted a life-form outside that has moved beyond my range of vision. The source is definitely a person. The constructs are also full of the same life-energy...meaning...they could be capable of jutsu and are likely linked to the source, like a clone technique. Be on guard.", Hanako said softly before she looked to the door to await what might come.
The door pounding continued as the wall became crystallized. Despite their efforts, the crystal lining stood true. However, as Saiko would sense with his hands still on the door, the crystal started to become cold. In moment's time the technique would be frozen over and it would shatter into nothingness. A similar occurrence was happening to his wooden walls. They too have almost been completely frozen over. Once they have, the trees will break into nothing and then snow will flow into the room. Furthermore, loud banging could be heard from the ceiling above the three ninja. Hanako with her enhanced eyes could see that over thirty snowmen were in the room above and were trying to cave in the floor below. Their strength was not prominent but time was on their side. If they continued to do so then they would undoubtedly break through the ceiling.

__ Tetsuhiko's iron sand flowed past Hanako and Saiko in order to aid in reinforcing the door and the wall. Iron beams, which could not be melted by snow fuel, materialized from the floor to the middle of the door. These acted as powerful buttresses to keep the door from being opened and it worked quite well with Saiko and his crystal. After that, some more of the iron sand simply formed a powerful sheet of iron which covered the icy walls for additional reinforcement. Maybe with the crystal and the iron sand working together, they could prevent a forceful entry. The Iron Prince also added a substantial amount of chakra (A-Rank) to all of his iron sand to further strengthen it. Hanako appeared to have some sort of sensing ability similar to Zhi's which was helpful in providing intel. "Understood, madame!" Tetsuhiko said with a certain flair as he focused on his strong barriers of iron sand.
Snow. Like most of the other genin, he had heard of snow but had never seen it in person. He didn't like it. The gi he wore was very thin, and thus a distinct chill shook through his body almost immediately. As he was standing outside of the academy, he watched as a plethora of snowmen formed and began assaulting the Academy; the newly formed abominations were trying to get inside. Karuto tightened his fists- angry. 'First the demon...then the monsters...now this?!' As his anger grew, small bolts of lightning began to flutter around his body as his Lightning Cloak flared into existence "ENOUGH!" He yelled out as his body sprung to action.
This was...different then his previous fights. He wasn't doing so for enjoyment or anything of the like. Karuto was angry. He was out to end all of these things as quickly as he could. He was tired of the constant threat against his village and his anger had finally spilled over. Karuto smashed through dozens of snowmen on the outside, not worrying about their possible reformation. He eventually found his way to the snowmen that were trying to beat down Saiko's wooden wall. He would smash anything and everything that was in front of him beneath his massive fists. Thankfully, his powerful chakra cloak should be able to keep any problems from these creatures at bay...or at least, he hoped.

Saiko listened as Hanako spoke. "Hmm then the best way to end this would be to find that person. Would you be able to track them down?" Saiko would ask the girl as he turned his attention to what Tetsuhiko was doing. "I think we may be wasting our chakra here then. They want in. We can keep putting up wall after all but, eventually we're going to run out of chakra. I'd say the best course of action would be to try and defeat these things out right. Who knows if they're able to out wait us." Saiko looked at the walls and could tell they were about to break from the cold. "I'm able to produce Katon. That should be able to help stop the cold from effecting us and perhaps melt the snowmen. What do ya think?" The boy would ask the other two, opting not to use any more chakra for the moment.
There was almost an audible crack in the air that could be heard above the ninja on the main floor. Shin had come in, like a bat out of hell. When Shin would fall, literally jumping into the mass of snowmen that was on the roof, he was already in the fourth gate. The energy pulsing off of his body was brilliant and enough that it shredded his upper torso's clothing. He had only recently unlocked this stage and man did it hurt like a b*tch to use.
Without waiting to see what the snowey bastards would try to do Shin's arms moved out, a blow being sent left and right on either side of his in a flurry of speed and horrendous power that were given a buff of compact air. (2 Formless Attacks Launched, Transformed to Spiritual through Compression Blow Technique.
S+ Ranked damage to either side at S rank speed, 3 rank dr increase strength wise due to fourth gate and 2 rank dr increase speed.)
He didn't feel like he could hold this stage very long, nor did he really realize just how much punch it put to it but he didn't feel quite like watching a bunch of his allies get merked.
Fourth Gate Active (1st Post) Chakra Pool: 185/425 Stamina Pool: 345/425
Hanako looked to Saiko as he inquired whether or not she might be able to track the individual responsible for this hoary army of frosted abominations. It was pretty obvious to her that she could indeed, if the person were still in her field of vision. This also gave her more information than she had first gleaned on the initial analysis of the appearances of the chakra forms of the life around her. "Interesting, they are approximately just out of my view. One-hundred meters in either direction, meaning this is some form of long-range manipulation... We will need to get outside and stop cowering here if I am to be able to track them.", the Kurama clan enchantress remarked as her eerie red eyes gleamed at Saiko, as if she could see into his soul..which..in a manner of speaking, she could.
Then Hanako noticed a few other aparitions in her field of vision, two both showing off quite a bit of chakra, making them glow on her spectrum of vision like beacons. "Two are engaged with the constructs, one above, the other outside...chakra exertion detected in vast quantities from the one outside.", she said in a tone of voice that was charming to listen to, but also gave the hint that she was all business and no games. Even if she was not as skilled in Taijutsu as some of them there, she was more than ready to utilize what was needed to achieve the goal of silencing this storm. She would not...let it go, and it was apparent she did not want to build a snowman anymore after this either.
The situation had suddenly changed. Either this wave of cold was the test in question (although unlikely, because then the snake wouldn’t be the happiest of critters) or something reminiscent to the mysterious box that not many may believe. Her coat wasn’t made for cold weather. One, it’s cropped. Two, her coat is more designed for protecting her arms against sand and allowing air to circulate. This wasn’t fun. This wasn’t fair! She hadn’t even had the chance to train yet!
”Errrmm… Cover me for like… a few minutes, maybe?” She would have to work before the cold kicked in. She could only guess the degrees of pleasure which comes from working with metal tools in the snow was something worth passing up on.
The process of setting up and training herself with her puppets began with the biggest of her dolls. The red scroll was opened and with an eruption of smoke the tall puppet came onto the plain. Sadayo had to invest in a location, fairly in sight of her allies, with an ample amount of room to her disposal. The first item of interest she sought to work was on the puppet’s right let. The prior function to her new idea was plain and without much use. Sadayo began by carefully removing a plate on the puppet’s calf to receive full view of what she had to work with. Her needed tools were stored in cloth wrappings and had been kept below her scrolls in her bag. {1 out of 5 set up}
A bit of work was needed to go into changing up the electrical function to a absorbing, flashing light mechanism. Old pieces are unscrewed and the nature based seal was removed from the previous mechanism. The new device was a delicate fixture capable of sucking up incoming ninjutsu on top of a wild strobe of light. The new item, don’t ask her where she got it, seemed essential to a defensive puppet. Sadayo would have to rely on this puppet in the worst of times to protect her. Nirami is the last line of defense before Sadayo, herself, would have to turn to some sort of ninjutsu to create distance. Sadayo set her tools down, closed her eyes, averted her head, and turned her wrist to test the mechanism in all its bright, annoying, glory. {2 out of 5 set-up}
The flash worked at least. There was a strange quick slurping sound. Like air was being sharply sucked through a straw. In terms of any new changes for Nirami, well, there aren’t any. The new mechanism was it. The only other “new” items were an additional set of blades. Installation of two more blades required the puppet’s head to be disconnected from its massive shoulders. {3 out of 5 set-up}
With much care, Sadayo tested the folding ability of each blade with her fingertips taking hold of a blade one by one. Sadayo began the task of screwing each blade from its “socket” and carefully went about setting each new blade, and the old blades, into the neck piece. The blades were seemingly functioning properly with fluid transitions from one setting to the next. Out! In! Out! The trio of blades were tucked in and fashioned to stick in place within the head. {4 out of 5 set-up}
Last item. The metallic pyramids haven’t been put to use yet in combat. In truth, Sadayo had no idea if the electric netting they created would actually be effective against anyone. Two metallic pyramids clinked as she collected them into her hand from the safety of her enigmatic bag (which seemed to carry everything for her) and set them on the floor. A new pair of pyramids were to be installed to extend reach of the electric shield. From the inside of Nirami, Sadayo had crawled into the puppet’s chest cavity to attach one pyramid into the space between its shoulders before installing the piece to set at the bottom of his torso. Sadayo crawled backwards out of the puppet and left him out. The chill in the air was off setting, to say the least. {5 out of 5 set-up}
The thought crossed her that it was a pity she couldn’t work from inside the samurai as she opened a second scroll to summon Yuutsu. Hohoemi, the laughing puppet, had no changes to be made. Sadayo was still thinking about what sort of changes could be applied to her nimble swordsman. The small grimacing puppet had a small list of adjustments too, mostly composed of a few extra blade attachments. Sadayo set the puppet to sit on its back before moving aside its flayed dressings. {1 out of 5 set-up} The “hip” drill was in need of touching up. Slots had been “discovered” (she would say they were there the whole time) and their use was ready to be fulfilled. A set of five blades with a retractable function in the mechanism was on her sights for completion. Sadayo was running out of time and couldn’t stave off her withdrawal for too much longer. She carefully grabbed the first blade, adjusted herself to be out of its immediate ‘slicing’ area and began the tedious art of installing the blade. {2 out of 5 set-up}
This slot goes here. This clamp goes here and this washer looking thing goes here… Of course, the actual process outside of her thoughts were a little more demanding than common observations. Sadayo had managed two of the five blades into the hip piece without cutting her finger tips. She grabbed the third one, looked over her shoulder for a moment to gauge the situation, and returned to work. Honestly, Sadayo could not descipher what was happening except that it was very cold in the room and very uncomfortable. She could’ve sworn a chill was trying to throw off her focus. {3 out of 5 set-up}
The puppeteer managed to install the next two blades in good time. She attempted to wiggle each installed blade to check their stability. So far so good. The last blade was awkward to install at first, with the funky angle the puppet was currently reclined in. Sadayo averted her head and limbs from reach of the blades. She apparently pressed something to make the remaining blades collapse into the doll as designed. When the coast was clear enough to resume work again, without a fear of blades creeping out to accidentally maim her, she went to work on installing the final hip blade. {4 out of 5 set-up}
A few tweaks here and there and the blade was finalized into the hip. She repeated whatever process it was to send the blade zipping back into the mechanism. Sadayo had one last item to change. The mouth blade, behind the serrated vice grip feature, wasn’t as long as she could have wanted it. The original blade was popped out enough that she could wedge tools into the inner workings of the doll’s head. In time, a loud click meant she was able to take out the old and replace with the new, longer, blade. {5 out of 5 set-up}
All three puppets were out and all three could remain out. Sadayo wrapped up her tools and stuffed them away. She stood, clasped her hands together and brought her hands to her mouth. A meager effort to warm them up. ”Alright,” she said as she flexed all ten fingers and worked her wrists. ”I’m good to go. Meanwhile Karuto, who had followed the kazekage as well, had began smashing up snowmen. Sadayo couldn’t object so easily. He did buy her some time to make a few adjustments, after all.

The pounding on the door ceased once Karuto and Shin made their assaults. The snowmen nearby the fallen creations looked at the pile of snow that were their comrades. It is when they looked back at the two taijutsu ninjas that both of them should realized that they made a powerful enemy. The ones on the ground level where Karuto was started first. Two of them shot their noses out at S ranked power and speed. The targets on Karuto however was his right leg and his left shoulder. If either of these carrots hit then they would pierce through the lightning armor like a candy wrapper and drill straight through the limb as a bullet would. While the two attacked long range, a third one flew into the air and swiftly turned into a boulder sized ball of snow. It homing attacked Karuto's position as it would hit and move with S-ranked proficiency. A similar thing befell Shin as two boulder snowballs formed on the roof on either side of him and rolled forward, attempting to crush Shin in between them. Then a third one leaped into the air and shot down three carrots at his current location from his face, each one aimed for the the boy's left leg, and both of his shoulders. The carrots were shot though only after the two boulders made their move, however, so that the boy had to react to the carrots after dealing with the other attack.
Meanwhile, Sadayo would notice a snowmen look at her. The snowmen analyzed her and her puppets before it nodded and slid away. It noted her but decided that she was not a threat. The priority all of the sudden became the two taijutsu characters. The ice completely shattered and destroyed the wooden walls, but now the iron sand held true against the onslaught. Despite logic dictating otherwise, however, even the sand was slowly starting to ice over. The door was also icing over, but the steel beams in conjuncture with them would keep them safe. Furthermore, the snowmen above stop slamming onto the ceiling since there were new targets. For all reasonable purposes, the three inside were safe for the moment as they had a chance to figure out what to do next.

__ He watched as even his iron sand walls started to frost over, but then stopped hearing the constantly banging noises. "Did they leave?" He wondered as he was unable to see the commotion going on outside. His iron sand was a strong enough fortification against the onslaught of cold for now so now the trio within had an opportunity to strategize. He had listened to Saiko's analysis that they would be unable to stay there behind their walls forever. "My iron sand appears to be buying us some time, but it is not the perfect barrier as I hoped." Tetsuhiko said this in response to Saiko, conceding that his analysis was accurate. He then looked towards Hanako to speak to her. "Do you sense what's going on out there now? I think they stopped rapping, rapping on our chamber door." He recited more poetry as he asked the still prudent question of Hanako.
Lahlil awoke with a start as her dreary eyes scanned her surroundings, forgetting for a moment where she was. The panic passing she groggily crawled out of the over sized chair that had been serving as her bed, and stretched out her legs and arms. A yawn passed over her lips as her sleepiness still threatened to overtake her. Mm no nightmares.. Falling backwards back into the chair Lahlil pulled her feet up to sit cross legged, her sleeves falling down to just barely cover her slender fingers. Though she had enjoyed her nap it was time to for some light training to shake the lazy bunnies off of her shoulder. [1/5] Eyes closed and hands together at her center Lahlil set adrift her mind into a smooth meditation. Reaching outwards to feel the flowing river of chakra that pulsated throughout her body. [2/5] Grabbing a hold of it with the strength of her willpower, Lahlil began to fluctuate it in time with her breathing. At this point her chakra became more like a living flame than it's normal soothing current. [3/5] Feeling the raging inferno inside her burn away the last bouts of drowsiness, Lahlil ran through every hand seal that she knew. It wasn't much, every academy student was required to have them memorized, and of course Lahlil had them drilled into her muscle memory style. But practices the basics was something that every ninja needed to review. [4/5] Flowing her chakra through her fingertips Lahlil felt alive and connected to her surroundings as her chakra spread out into the air. Everything became more acute and it was if she stepped through a portal to another plane. One where she could still look through a mirror and see a reflection of her own. Her breathing quickly began ragged as the effort it took her to sustain this effect began to put a heavy strain on her. It was like moving a muscles she hadn't known she had, and in doing so discovered how weak it really was. [1/5] Allowing her chakra to settle back inside her body, Lahlil took a deep breathe of air and opened her eyes. It wasn't until the blood started rushing to her face that she realized her was overheating. Maybe even sweating a little. [2/5] Her basic training accomplished Lahlil climbed off of her chair as she would be needing to stand for this next test. An advanced form of chakra control that was usually reserved for the higher ranks. [3/5] Placing her palms together, Lahlil spread them apart by just the slightest length of a hair. Filling the gap this made with her chakra, she increased the gap ever so slightly and repeat the process until they were about five inches apart. Still linked together by a tangled mess of chakra strings Lahlil concentrated on the strings themselves and willed them to break off. [4/5] Now floating in the space between her hands, the chakra strings melded together as Lahlil directed them to bend and twist over each other until the would take shape. After careful manipulation they formed into the perfectly round, tiny ball. [5/5] Basic Training: Meditate
A blur of black and green intertwined chakra and raw physical energy errupted on the roof from Shin's position. The snow at that location blasted outward, melting any remaining snow that was directly beneath Masato's feet as he appeared in what seemed like an instant. His visage gave the clear appearance of the fourth gate as his skin was a vibrant red, his long unkempt hair flowing upward with the procession of energy. His eyes glowed an ominous neon red as the sharingan gave light to every motion before him.
In a smooth, unhindered motion he threw a punch to either side of the boy with both hands at once, demolishing the boulders as they attempted to crush him. As soon as the snow boulder exploded into nothing he performed a back flip, using his kick while doing such a motion to take all three carrot missiles out at once. Slamming his closed right fist into his open left palm he called out to Shin. " Neat trick." He smirked, it was the first time he had seen another in the village use the gates besides himself. Masato's eyes gave form to the chakra forms around them. All the snow in the area seemed to glow with a faint chakra infused essence.
Shin was about to give a rebuttle to the snowy offense when a figure did that for him, and also brought a new fire to his heart. In a brilliant display of power and speed another gates user flew into the scene ready to clobber things just as he was. As much as Shin wanted to give the man a well deserved high five he didn't quite have the time of day as the snow monsters were ever so pissed. "Thanks! Ditto to you, now lets crush these snow freaks!" Shin said in a rush of excitement and adrenaline.
Without much thought to it Shin took to charging into the group of snow men that would be closest to his side, this time water gathering along his arms. What would normally be a concussive blast of water following along side his powerful strike would be turned into a high pressure spray of steam, hopefully melting some of the snowmen, due to the sheer friction and body heat that he was giving off at this stage. A part of him wondered if he had to push beyond just the 4th gate. He knew that his body could handle the 5th and yet at the same time he had been warned of the repercussions. The fourth would leave him with a really bad hang over and a lot of pain but nothing serious, the fifth would likely break his bones or tear his muscles. If it came down to brass stacks however he wouldn't hesitate, no one was going to get hurt today.

Bleum and Loki followed closely behind Yugen until they reached one of Sunagakure's training grounds. Yugen's brow furrowed anxiously as he noted the terribly odd scene what was unfolding. Is that... snow? marveled Yugen. Pearly flakes glistened in the distance. They descended heavily upon the academy's grounds, leaving a thick layer of soft, white snow upon each inch it graced below its presence. "Looks like the ice age has finally hit Suna, eh Bleum?" he wondered aloud as he stepped onto the wonderland of cool powder. It was icy to the touch and his feet sank into it, making it slightly more difficult to traverse towards the academy. "Can't stop now though, can we? Better figure out what's going on here-" he paused to notice Loki, Bleum's fox, bounding through the snow with excitement.
"Y'know, this isn't the adventure I had planned, Loki, but it's certainly an alluring affair." whispered Yugen in an undertone. Warm vapor left his lips with every word that slipped from his tongue. He felt a shiver run up his spine as he trekked further through the snow-ridden land. To keep this expedition an adventure at the very best, Yugen fought the buzz of chakra that sought out his gaze to reveal the secret before themselves. Instead he continued onward until his eyes saw something more than frost: a gathering of snowmen assaulting the academic structure.
"What the-" Yugen's gaze narrowed in bewilderment at the scene. It was certainly something fantastic, something out of a dream, or an illusion. His body shivered from the cold climate he wasn't used to along with the thrill that churned within himself.Looks like they're trying to break in. Some students may be in danger...He'd forward his assessment to Bleum, "Let's distract them, shall we?" Yugen called for his friend's attention as he whipped out two shuriken from his pouch. His eyes wandered her lovely form a little, enjoying the way the melted snow glistened off her sun-kissed skin. Approximately twenty feet away from his nearest targets, a group of distracted snowmen, Yugen proceeded to hurl his two shuriken at them. He hoped to hit one or two in order to divert their absorption from breaking into the academy. "Hey! What do you call a snowman in the summer?! ...A puddle!" Yugen pursued their attention. His joke wasn't the hottest. Ha.
