that's like our local bridges, where there are signs declaring "icy in winter'.
when else would they likely be icy?

Here are some from my state. smile
1. It is illegal to sleep outside on top of a refrigerator.
2. If you are driving on a country road at night you must stop every mile and send up a rocket signal, wait ten minutes for the road to be cleared of livestock, and continue.
3. No singing in the bathtub.
4. A person who has particpated in a duel can not become Governor.
5.If a motorist sees a team of horses coming toward him he must pull well off the road, cover his car with a blanket or canvas so his car blends in with the countryside, while the horses pass.
6. You may not catch a fish with your hands.
7. The only body part you can catch fish with is your mouth.
8. You can't use dynamite to catch fish.
9. Housewives are not allowed to hide dirt under a rug.

my grandpa back in PA used to enforce that fish dynamiting law.
dynamiting kills and wastes a lot of fish.
i like the shooting off of rockets idea! what a great excuse to buy and enjoy lots of fireworks, legally!

I never knew people dynamited for fish. That is really, really... silly.
The rockets would make for a good weekend, since it would take you all night to get anywhere. XD

it was recently enough for me to remember it, that in Ontario margarine either had to be white, and you added your own coloring (they provided a little ampule of coloring stuff), or else it was bright school bus yellow.
this was the idea of the dairy lobby, which wanted us all to remember that only butter had a naturally yellow color.

I think in Maine, or someplace like it, there's a law that you can bring your gun with you to church, in order to keep away Natives. Or something like that.
