I am sorry to say that there is no current way to delete your account. The only possible alternatives that you have are to change your name, delete your avatar (to recreate it), or just create a whole new account and never log into this one again. In order to change your name or recreate your avatar, you must go to the "My Gaia" tab, and then click on the "Account Settings" button. Once there, you can choose to change your name, gender, or delete your avatar. If you delete your avi, you will retain all your items on the new one that you create. Changing names is free the first time, and gender free the first two times.
