What should you do if you try to sign on and you get a message saying you can't login in for 15 minutes because there have been to many failed attempts?

Are these failed attempts yours, or those of someone else?
If it's the latter, I would strongly suggest changing/strengthening your password - just to be safe.

I'm thinking it's because you tried to log in several times with an incorrect password. When that happens, it shuts out your IP address for a little while. Return when you know the password or in about 15 minutes to try guessing again (or you could click on the lost password button to have it emailed to you). Once you've logged in, change your password just in case. Be sure it's memorable, though, so you won't forget it!

Hope that helps, Misti Actually even though it says your IP has been banned, it's actually that the account has been locked for 15 minutes. I once failed too many times at logging into one of my accounts and it said my IP was banned but I could log any of my other accounts just fine from the same com.

Something like this has happened to me before.
I got a message saying that my IP would banned for
15 minutes but on the same com. my brother logged
in just fine.I suggest strengthening or changing username or
password.(password mostly). sweatdrop

This happened to me a few days ago.
I KNOW I didn't type my stuff in wrong, and it told me I was temp banned on my first attempt.
Just change your Password, make sure it's a strong one too.
