Awesome! I've been waiting for this forever since I can't find the original for SNES. I had it on a ROM on my computer but it's not the same as actually owning the greatest RPG in the world. Wish they would have remade it like FF4..with better graphics and such. This just looks like the same game for 40$ bucks, nonetheless I reserved it ^^
For those without a clue Chrono Trigger is an RPG set in medievil times. When the main character (you) AKA Crono (you can change his name) wakes up you're mother reminds you the millenial fair starts today honoring the King's lineage The Guardia's. While Heading to your friends (Lucca, you can change her name to) "act" you bump into a strange girl who falls over and drops her pendant. After you check on her she freaks out about her important pendant missing. Once you pick it up off the ground and give it to her she takes a liking to you and asks you to escort her around the fair. Shortly after you hear your friends show isn't prepared yet. After you goof off with (forgot to tell you her name is Marle, also changeable) you'll hear out of nowhere Lucca's act is ready. When you get there you see Lucca and her father in front of two identical machines. (which is strange for medieval times but Lucca is a brainiac and invents things) Lucca's machines are teleporters, you step in one and it transfers your matter and energy to the other one. After a demonstration by Lucca herself Marle is ecstatic to try it forherself, once shes aboard the machine goes haywire, at first it seems like there was to much energy in the machine but then Marle's pendant begins to glow, and she is sucked into a void, all that's left is her pendant. Everyone freaks out and Lucca's father makes the crowd leave. Then you selflessly volunteer to go after your escortee, thus grabbing the pendant and telling Lucca to power up the teleporter. Once sucked in you arrive 600 years into the past, and the rest from here is spoilers and I'm getting carried away.
Discuss: Chrono Trigger.

I freakin LOVE Chrono Trigger!! It's an old classic to a lot of people, but I think it's one of those 'unsung heroes'.. It didn't get nearly enough fame that it deserved. >.< I didn't play it when I was young-- I must've played... two and a half years ago? Maybe three? So the awesomeness is still fresh in my mind. When I heard they were making it for the DS, I was so happy-- and I'm positive that I'll have it in my possession as soon as it comes out. I'm kinda ashamed since lavos (THAT CHEESE!!) keeps beating me... I wanna beat the game, dammit!!

Ah, I remember this game. All the quests, the time travel, the awesome music, a villan / party member...this game has it all.
I'm definitely getting this for the DS. I just hope it doesn't mimic the PlayStation version; it took a full 7 seconds to get into the menu in that version. >.<

Chrono Trigger is an awesome game. We have it for the playstation, and I would happily get the DS version for myself if I had a DS to play it on! I still need to actually finish the PS version, I've got too many different things trying to get my attention.
