I stick with legit shinies that I just happen to find (I never go looking for them.) That means my total list is rather small:

and last but not least froslass
i hunt for shiny pokemon the giratina took a long time to get and so did the muk. it took a lot of eggs to get shiny pokemon exept steelix that one was dumb luck.

You don't have to, but after you beat the Elite Four in Diamond and Pearl you gain access to the PokeRader which can increase your chances (but can only bring it up to a 1 in 200 chance, I think.) Otherwise, it's a 1 in 8192 (if I remember right) chance of finding one.

I caught a shiny tentacool but traded it. The rest of my shinies are Raikou, Mew, Deoxys, and Latias. The Latias is the only one I am sure is not legit because of the 00000 id number. As for the other three I doubt they're legit but you never know, and even if they are not legit they're still pretty. mrgreen
