Mission

Charmed

Team Rose, a lesser-known enemy group, but still a threat to us and to others around them. How? Their Pokemon are so cute to the point where it is either distracting. Unfortunately for us, they are using it to their advantage at a Pokemon contest at Slateport City. The participating contest Pokemon are being distracted and allured away from their trainers. They are ignoring orders and are willing to defend these cute Pokemon with their lives. Team Rose intends to take these charmed Pokemon to expand into a army about as great as threat as Team Shadow.

Your Mission is to go to Slateport and stop Team Rose from accomplishing their task. Be careful, getting to the people involved will not be easy. These charmed Pokemon are going to be more of a threat to you than Rose ever will be. Though with that being said, try not to do TOO much damage if at all possible to these contest Pokemon. The trainers took great care in raising these Pokemon. Even so much as a Pokemon battle could ruin years of work.

---4 Contest Pokemon (1 has to be at least a 2nd Evo)

Pokemon

Taakuin sat in his room, reading through the many, many missions that there were. As he looked through them, he quickly became bored. 'I hate looking for a mission to do, it's the worst part of it. -.-' he complained to himself as he continued looking. It took him almost 20 minutes to find one he wanted, and he didn't even pick it, Ricky had. "Just do this one, I mean, with a name like Team Rose, how hard could it be?"

Taakuin sighed, and shrugged at the same time. "Well... alright, but if you get charmed by one of these 'cute' Pokemon, I'm going to blame you if we fail >8(. I do NOT want to get beaten by a bunch of sissy peons." he said, getting his things together. "...where's my hover board? We kinda need it to get there... unless of course you want to carry me. >.>" he turned to the Squirtle, grinning. Ricky sweat dropped, and put his paw in his shell, searching for the previously stored hover board.

He looked for 15 minutes, pulling things like, random machine parts, a book or two, his note pad, pencil, a pair of glasses, sunglasses, a hacky sack, an oven mitt, a small pebble, a handkerchief, and a sandwich. He finally found the hover board, and tossed it to Taakuin, hitting him in the head. Taakuin just stood there, mouth gaping. "o.o What... the.... heck...." was all he managed to get out. Ricky quickly stuffed the other items back in his shell, making Taakuin's eye twitch. ".... how does that fit in there? o.o" he asked as the Squirtle finished. "...you really don't want to know.. trust me.." Ricky said, walking out the door. Taakuin stood there for a while before slowly walking after him.

They made their way through the HQ, distracted by a few things on the way, such as pretty machines, (Ricky), food, (both), and still pondering about Ricky's shell, (Taakuin). When they finally made it outside, Taakuin tossed out the hover board, jumping on it. Ricky hopped on after, sitting on Taakuin's backpack, his usual spot. "So we just have to get rid of some peons? As long as we don't get distracted, this should be fairly easy." Taakuin said as they sped towards Slateport. Of course they would have to make a few stops on the way, but hopefully it wouldn't be that bad.

He took out his PokePalm, and handed it to Ricky. "Check out the stops on the way to Slateport, we need to make as few as possible, but we'll have to get something to eat... that and I really need to go... >.>" he said as Ricky looked at the map. “As if I’m actually going to look. -_- Just stop at whatever towns we pass, maybe two of them. We’ll want to get there as soon as possible, I don’t enjoy traveling.-_-“ Taakuin nodded, and continued flying towards Slateport. He took his goggles off his forehead, placing them over his eyes. It was times like this he was glad that he had them.

They had been flying for a while now, and they could see their first stop in the distance. “Well look at that, our first pit stop. What are we going to do here?” he asked Ricky. “Well, I don’t know about you, but I really need to go to the bathroom. >.0;” he replied, squirming around on the backpack. Taakuin laughed, speeding towards the town. When they arrived, they got off the hover board, and walked into a fast food place. They walked to the bathroom, Ricky jumped off Taakuin’s backpack and sprinting there. After they were done, they ordered some food, and sat down. Eating on the hover board was a bit of a challenge.

When they were done eating, they went outside, and sweat dropped. “You um… wouldn’t happen to remember which way we were going, would you?” Taakuin asked, turning to Ricky. “He-he… of course I do… erm… it was uh… that way? >.>” he said, pointing in a random direction. “Um… I’ll ask someone else instead..” Taakuin said, walking to a woman standing behind a fruit stand.

“Hello there! Would you care to buy some delicious fruits?” She asked as they approached. Taakuin shook his head, “Um, no thank you, we were just wondering which way is it to Slateport City?” The woman scratched her head for a bit, then snapped her fingers. “Well… I can’t say I know. I’m sure my husband will though. Just hold on a second okay?” Taakuin sighed, “Um.. alright.” They waited there for a few minutes before who they guessed was the husband came out.

“So yer lookin’ for Slateport are ye’?” he said in a hearty voice. “Slateport City is oer’ that way, quite a ways fer’ a youngin’ like yerself int’ it?” he said, looking Taakuin up and down. “Erm, I guess it’s pretty far away, considering where we came from.” Taakuin said, putting his hands in his pockets. “Where did ye’ come from then?” the man asked, leaning towards Taakuin. “We uh… came from the Kanto area, just past it actually. We’re just going to the Pokemon Contest in Slateport. But we can’t be late, so we need to get going. Thanks for all your help though!” he said as they quickly ran off. “Hmm… aight’, good luck to ye’ then!” the man said as he watched them leave.

Once they were out of sight, they got on the hover board and continued on to Slateport. This was going to be quite a journey, but in the end it would be worth it to take down Team Rose. Cheating in a Pokemon Contest is just plain rotten. When they got there, he planned on putting some hurtin’ on them. They were close to being halfway to their next destination when they encountered a Mightyena. “Ah…great…just what we needed, another distraction..” he said, sighing. “C’mon, let me fight him, I can beat him easily.” Ricky said, putting up his fists. “That’s alright, really, I’ll just let T. handle it.” Taakuin said, throwing out the Houndour’s ball. “Alright Titus, ready to beat this guy down?” Titus barked a yes, and bared his teeth at the Mightyena.

The Mightyena made the first move. It jumped at Titus, biting him in the side. Titus let out a loud yelp, and managed to kick the Mightyena off of himself. “Titus, use bite!” Taakuin said. Titus ran at the Mightyena, biting it in the ear. The Mightyena let out a loud howl of pain. It struggled to get out of his grip, and he let it. He then jumped on it, scratching at it’s face. “Good work T.!” Taakuin said, followed by, “Now, use ember!” T’s mouth shot out a bunch of small embers, hitting the Mightyena in it’s side. It yelped, but ran at him again. Before he could do anything, it lunged on him, biting him hard on his back and scratching his side. T. yelped in pain, falling to the ground. The Mightyena got off, and turned to Taakuin.

“Titus! Are you alright?” he said, not being able to run over and help him. He knew that if he moved, the Mightyena would attack, and that’s the last thing he needed. Of course Ricky could take him on, but this was T’s fight, and it would be offensive for anyone to interfere. The Mightyena came closer to Taakuin, growling. A bright light came from T’s direction, and as the Mightyena jumped at Taakuin, a Houndoom jumped in front of it, biting it hard on the neck. It yelped, and backed up. T. growled at it, some flames flowing out of his muzzle. He let out a loud howl at the Mightyena, at the same time using flamethrower to burn it. The Mightyena let out an earsplitting yelp, and ran away with singed fur, whimpering.

Taakuin ran up to T, who was barking happily. “Good job boy, you sure showed him who’s the Alpha Male. He-he.. sorry for the sappy line. >.>” he said, returning T to his ball. “Well, now that we’ve gotten past that little speed bump, lets get going.” He said, getting back on the hover board, Ricky hopping back on his backpack. “I still say I could have beaten him faster…” Ricky said, pouting a bit. “Don’t be a cry baby, T did fine.” Taakuin said, speeding off towards the next stop. After that, they needed to go to the Pokemon Center and get Titus healed. He’d done well, and Taakuin was very proud of him.

The next stop was in sight, and being anxious, Taakuin picked up the pace. They got to the outskirts of the city, and made their way to the Pokemon center. Taakuin handed over T’s ball, and set Ricky on the counter. “Might as well get you healed up too. Can’t be too careful now, can you?” Taakuin said as Ricky got carried away. While he was waiting, Taakuin went out and got some food for himself, Ricky, and T. He went back to the Pokemon center and picked the two up, walking outside with them. He set their food down, and began to eat. They were done in a few minutes, all of them happily full. He returned T to his Pokeball and Ricky hopped onto his backpack. “Ready to get going?” he asked. Ricky gave a thumbs up and they were off again, wasting as little time as possible.

It didn’t take them long to get going at a steady pace, and by the time they got there, they were going to sprint to the competition. Along the way to Slateport though, they had to stop and help a Meowth out of a tree, and get it back to it’s owner, a small girl. “Gee thanks mister! ^-^” she said as she ran off. Taakuin sighed, and they continued to Slateport. “This has taken forever, I can’t wait to get there and teach these guys a lesson..” he said as they passed a large group of people. “Hmmm.. wonder what they were up to…” he said, but ignored it. The last thing he needed was a distraction.

When Slateport was finally in sight, Taakuin felt a wave of relief flow through him. They had finally made it, and now it was time to do what they had come for. They got into the City, and it took them a while to find the Contest Hall. When they did find it, they walked inside, and up to the counter. “Excuse me, I’d like to register for the contest please.” He said to the woman at the counter, who was typing something. She looked over at him, “Sure thing, I’ll need your name, your hometown, and the two Pokemon you’ll be using for each event.” She handed him a paper to fill out, along with a pen. Once he had filled it out, he handed it to her, and walked to the contestant’s room.

“Alright, well if we’re lucky, we can find these guys, beat them, and get outta here before the contest starts.” Taakuin said, looking around for anything suspicious. It didn’t take long at all, a woman walked up to him, looking at Ricky. “My my, what a cute Squirtle you have there. These are my Pokemon, Torchic, Buneary, and Teddyursa.”She said as the Pokemon walked up. “Care to have a battle?” she asked. “If you insist, I’m guessing you’re one of the people who have been causing trouble around here, you sure don’t hide it.” He said, throwing out Titus and Aurora’s Pokeballs. Ricky jumped down to join them. “Lets go then.” He said, grinning.

“You’re a smart boy aren’t you? Yes, I’m a member of Team Rose, and we’re going to dominate this contest.” She said, followed by, “Torchic, ember! Buneary, attract, Teddyursa, swift!” Taakuin grinned, saying, “Ricky, water gun, Aurora, block the attract, and T, use flamethrower!” The ember was countered by the water gun, the attract had no effect on Aurora, and the Swift was burnt away by the flamethrower. “Is that all you’ve got?! This is going to be easy!” he said. “Ricky, Ice beam! Aurora, shadow ball, T, flame thrower!” he said, the three did their attacks, freezing the Torchic in an ice cube, blasting the Buneary away, and burning the Teddyursa to a black ball of burnt fur. “That was easy, next peon please.” Taakuin said, grinning.

“Grr, you haven’t seen the last of me, I’ll be back, count on it.” The peon said as she ran off, taking her Pokemon with her. A man walked up, dressed in an outfit almost identical to hers. “So you beat her, but I’m way tougher. Let’s go!” he said. “Eevee, Togepi, Chingling! GO!” he said, throwing out the three Pokemon. “You’re kidding me… is all you have cute Pokemon?!” Taakuin said. “Ricky, rapid spin! Aurora, bite! T, scratch!” he said. The Eevee managed to dodge the attack, but was hit when Ricky came spinning back. The Togepi managed to use metronome and hit Aurora with a water gun, but she still hit it. The Chingling wasn’t able to do anything, and was scratched many times. The three were beaten easily. “Curses! You’ll get it, just you wait!” the man said, running off. “*sigh* Can the next one be interesting please?!” he said, tapping his foot.

A young woman walked out, blushing. “Hello…” she said, throwing out three Pokeballs. “I’m the one who’s going to fight you next..” she said quietly. A Plusle, Minun, and Pichu were thrown out, all very cute and ready to fight. “I hope that after I beat you, we can get to know one another…” she said, looking at Taakuin with big blue eyes. “What?! You think you can beat me and want to go out afterwards?! HAHAHA!!” he laughed. “Sorry, but you’re not going to beat me, and there’s someone else that I’m interested in.” he said. “Lets get this battle going then shall we?” she said in a more serious tone. “Plusle, Minun, Pichu, use thunderbolt on all three of them!” she ordered. The three put their cheeks together, sending out a large thunderbolt at Ricky, Aurora, and T. “Get out of the way you guys!” he said. The three managed to get out of the way, and made a counter attack. “Ricky, Ice beam, Aurora, skull bash, T. flamethrower, all on the Plusle!” he said. The three fired their attacks, first, the ice beam hit, freezing the Plusle. Next, the flamethrower thawed and burnt it. Finally, it was hit hard by the skull bash, knocked out on the ground.

“Ah! Plusle! Return!” she said, recalling the KO’ed Pokemon. “Fine, Minun, spark, Pichu, tackle!” The Minun let out a large amount of electricity hitting Ricky, who luckily hid in his shell, Aurora, and T. “Are you alright?” Taakuin asked, making sure they were okay. “Ug… yeah.. a bit static charged though…” Ricky said, still in his shell. Taakuin forgot all about the Pichu, who hit Aurora. “Ouch! You little brat!” she said, biting it’s ear, and not letting go. “If you want to get out, you’d have to shock me, but that’d hurt you too!” she said through her mouthful of ear. “Alright, Ricky, ice beam the Minun!” Taakuin said. “Sure thing!” Ricky said, freezing the Minun in place. “Now, T, use bite!” T ran at the Minun, about to bite it, when, “Minun! Return!” The little girl said, recalling the Minun. “THAT’S NOT FAIR!! >8O” Taakuin said, pointing at her.

“It was going to get beaten anyways, and I thought I’d spare it the pain. Now, Pichu, Thunder!” she said. The Pichu let out a massive thunder attack, shocking Aurora and knocking her out. “Aurora, return!” Taakuin said. “That was good work, now..” he looked at the Pichu, who was knocked out from the attack also. He threw a Pokeball at it as the girl ran away. One…two…three…click! “Awesome, got a Pichu!” he said, picking up the Pokeball. He tucked it away, and went to turn to leave, when an Ursurang stopped him in his tracks. It was blushing, and Taakuin immediately knew it was charmed. “Ug… great…” he said, turning to it. “Listen, I don’t wanna fight you, so just let me leave and I promise not to hu-“ he said, but jumped back to avoid a slash from it’s claws. “GAH!!” he said, running away from it.

Ricky jumped on T’s back, who was facing the Ursurang. “Alright, lets show this guy our little tactic!” Ricky said as T ran at the Ursurang. When they were close enough, Ricky jumped off T’s back, and onto the Ursurangs face. It attempted to bite him, but he had his shell facing it, blocking any attacks. While it was distracted, T went behind it, using a flamethrower on it’s behind. It roared in pain, running out of the room with a smoking butt. Ricky hopped down to find three Teddyursa’s facing him, also charmed. “Oh great…” he said, looking at them. Their eyes were big, and they began to cry. “Wait- no!” he said, covering his eyes. “I didn’t do anything, I call a fake tears!! >.<” he said, firing an ice beam at them.

One of them was hit, frozen solid in an ice cube, tears frozen too. T ran up, biting one of them in the neck, and quickly stuffing it in a locker, closing it and facing the other one. The last one looked at them, then smirked. “Well… look who’s a smart doggy.” It said, looking at T and firing a swift attack. “Wait, you can talk too!?” Ricky said, firing a bubble beam to stop the swift attack. “Well sure I do! I just took a rainbow pokeblock from someone’s bag, and I have to say, it’s awesome!” it said, running at Ricky and scratching him. T ran at it, biting it’s tail and throwing it across the room. He then shot a flamethrower at it. The Teddyursa was hit by the fire, and it cursed as it was hit by Ricky with a skull bash.

“That’ll teach you…” Ricky said, walking to find Taakuin hiding in a bathroom stall. “Is it gone? >.<” he asked, walking out and returning T. “Yeah… we handled it…” Ricky said, walking to the lobby of the contest hall. “Can we go home now?” Ricky asked, waiting for Taakuin. “Eh… yeah.. I’m kinda sick of this place.. let me just drop out of the contest and we’re outta here.” He said, walking to the front counter. A few minutes later they were outside, getting on the hoverboard.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Taakuin was sitting in his room, again looking through his PokePalm for a mission. This time he actually found one that interested him, and decided to look into it. It was a mission from LS, and he had to get a few things for an elderly man so he could craft some strange jewel. Taakuin picked up Ricky and walked outside, getting on his hover board. "Ready to do this?" Taakuin asked Ricky as they proceeded to go find the Pokemon they needed to face. Ricky nodded, looking on the PokePalm on where to find an Arcanine, Vulpix, Charizard, and Torkal.
"Well, we can find a Torkoal at Mount Stark in the Sinnoh region, it's supposed to be crawling with them. We could also look for a Charizard around there. Hm, Vulpix can be found at Mt. Prye, and the Arcanine might be found at the first Sevii island at a mountain." He said, putting the PokePalm away. "Right then, lets go to Mt. Prye first." Taakuin said, heading in that direction.
It took a while, but when they finally got to Mt. Prye, they were ready to start climbing, well, Taakuin anyways. "Aaaaahhhhhhgggggg..... that's big!" Ricky said as they started to climb. "Stop complaining and get in my backpack, I can carry you." Taakuin said, and continued climbing as Ricky hopped in. It was going to be a long climb, but in the end it would be worth it.
About one fourth of the way up, Taakuin slipped, but luckily grabbed on to a large rock. "That was close..." he said, getting back up. The rock suddenly shifted, and a Graveler stood up, looming over him. "Oh.... shite..." he said, looking at it. "Graveler!!!" It yelled, swinging an arm at him. Taakuin quickly jumped onto the arm, climbing over it. "RUN RUN RUN!!!" he said, quickly running up the mountain-side.
When they were a safe distance away, they stopped and took a short rest, but it was cut short by the pursuing Graveler. "Why won't he leave?!" Taakuin said, climbing again. When the Graveler was finally out of the way, they saw something moving around in the grass. Taakuin immediately recognized a Vulpix, and set Ricky on the ground. "All you need to do is knock it out so I can get a tail from it." Taakuin said. Ricky nodded, firing a water gun at the unsuspecting Vulpix.
It yelped as it was hit by surprise, but quickly jumped at Ricky, firing a Will-O-Wisp. The fire hit Ricky, but he quickly doused himself with a water gun. "Ricky, rapid spin and water gun!" Taakuin said. Ricky withdrew into his shell, and began spinning very quickly. He then began to shoot out a water gun, which sprayed in all directions. Taakuin ignored it as he got wet, but instead payed attention to the soaked Vulpix. "Ricky switch to ice beam!" Taakuin said. Ricky cut off the water gun, and then began to shoot a steady stream of ice, still spinning.
The ice beam hit the Vulpix, freezing it solid. When Ricky stopped the ice beam and got out of his shell, there was a swirl of ice around him and above him, glistening in the sun. "Nice work Ricky, now just smash it and I'll get a tail." Taakuin said. Ricky skull bashed to Vulpix, knocking it out. Taakuin then walked over, picking out one of the tails from the Vulpix. "Well, now we can move on, how about the Arcanine next?" he said, walking down the mountain. Ricky nodded in agreement, and they were soon on their way to the Sevii islands.
They ended up having to take a boat from Veridian city to get to the islands, but it wasn't that bad, although time-consuming. By the time they got there, it was starting to get dark, and they still had to get to the mountain on the first island. They stopped and ate before they left, but didn't take long.
When they had gotten past all of the trainers, and managed to get across the water, they finally got to the mountain. Although tempted by the hot springs inside the cave, they passed it up and began to climb. This one wasn't as hard as Mt. Prye, but it was sure to take just as long. "Alright, I think I see where we need to go, in that cave up there... I'm wondering why there's stairs there, but I'll ignore it and use them. ^^;" Taakuin said, walking up the stairs and into the dim cave.
The cave was almost pitch black, barely enough light to see. Taakuin then remembered that he was a mecha now, and what the doctor had told him. "If I blink three times fast, I'll be able to see in the darkest of places...." he said, and blinked three times. The area in front of him was instantly light up, and he could see clear as a bell.
"That's nifty..." he said, looking around. Ricky looked at him a bit weird. "You're eyes are like a flashlight...weird..." he said, turning away. "Oh well, at least I can see better.." Taakuin said, walking through the cave. It was oddly warm, and it smelled strange too. Before long he heard some snoring, and before long, saw a large ball of orange and black fur. "Oh..... wow..." he whispered, looking at the large Arcanine in front of him. He took out a shuriken, not wanting to wake the large dog.
He put the shuriken to the fur, and gently cut some off, stuffing it into a plastic baggy and putting it away. He turned to walk out, but tripped on Ricky, falling on the ground and making a loud crash. "OUCH!!" Taakuin yelled as he got up, brushing himself off. He sweatdropped, hearing a growling from behind him. "Oh... no..." he said, quickly running forward, out of the way of a large bite.
He turned to see the Arcanine, growling at him, fire filling up in its muzzle. "NONONONO!!!!" Taakuin said, quickly jumping behind a rock to avoid a large flamethrower attack. "Midnight you're up!" Taakuin said, throwing out the Eevee's pokeball. The Eevee looked at the Arcanine blankly, instantly firing a shadow ball at it. The Arcanine jumped out of the way, biting at Midnight. Knowing it would most likely be eaten, Midnight jumped out of the way, and bit the large dog in the paw.
It yelped, and swatted Midnight off with another paw, firing a flamethrower at him. Midnight didn't have time to react, and was hit directly by the harsh attack. "Midnight!" Taakuin yelled, running and picking him up, carrying him outside. It was dark outside, the stars twinkling in the dark blue sky. Taakuin blinked three times once more, turning off his lights, and watching as the Arcanine walked out of the cave, muzzle filled with fire again.
Just as the Arcanine was about to shoot the fire, Midnight began to glow, slowly growing larger and darker. When the evolution was complete, he was an Umbreon, the rings on his body blue instead of the regular gold. "Guess that's what being shiny does..." Taakuin said, watching as Midnight got up, running at the Arcanine.
The Arcanine fired the flamethrower, but Midnight easily dodged, running up to him and biting him hard on the paw. The Arcanine howled, attempting to swat at Midnight again, but missing. Midnight dissapeared into the darkness, appearing next to the Arcanine on the other side and slamming into it. The Arcanine fell, and Midnight knocked it out with a shadow ball, walking back over to Taakuin. "You'd better catch that, it was a lot of trouble to beat it." he said, returning himself to his Pokeball.
Taakuin shrugged, throwing an Ultra ball at the Arcanine, waiting for the ping. One....two....three....ping. "Cool, got an Arcanine, this will be useful for getting up and down mountains..." he said, tucking the ball away. He needed to go to the Pokemon center first and heal it up before sending him out though.
When they got to the Pokemon center, they waited as the Arcanine was healed, and then got on the boat to Veridian again. Now they had to go all the way to Sinnoh and Stark Mountain, which they were not looking forward to. The boat ride seemed to fly by, and before long they were on the hover board to Sinnoh, first to Snowpoint city. "So the boat from here will take us to the island where we can get to Stark Mountain..." Taakuin said as they got into the city and walked toward the dock.
"We're headed to the Battle area." Taakuin said as they passed the ships captain. "Well we can use the hover board until we get to the mountain, then we can ride the Arcanine I just got." He said to Ricky as the ship set off. This boat ride seemed to take forever, perhaps because they were going so slow. When they did get to the Battle area, they immediately got on the hover board and headed to Stark Mountain.
They did have to go through a lot of water and an unwanted sand-storm to get there, but they made it in one piece. At the bottom of the mountain they got onto the Arcanine, who quickly made it's way to the top, hopping from boulder to boulder. It wasn't long before they got to the entrance of the cave, and once the Arcanine was returned, they made their way inside.
It didn't take long for them to find a Torkoal, and this time Ricky was able to take care of it. "Ricky use water gun!" Taakuin said. Ricky hit the Torkoal head on, and it sent out a lot of smoke, ramming Ricky through the covered area. "Since it's already hot all you need to do is freeze the shell and then skull bash it, okay?" Taakuin whispered to Ricky, who was already firing an ice beam. The shot missed, and Ricky was this time hit by a flamethrower.
Ricky fired again, this time encasing the Torkoal's shell in ice, making it angry. It fired a flamethrower at Ricky and Taakuin this time, toasting them both. ".....Wow that was painful..." Taakuin said, a puff of smoke coming from his mouth as he did. Ricky ignored the pain and rammed into the Torkoal's shell, the ice shattering and a piece of the shell breaking off. "Got it Taakuin!" Ricky said, tossing it to him and running outside. Taakuin followed, tucking the shell away with the Vulpix tail, and the Arcanine fur.
When they were out of the cave and a safe distance away, they sat down and took a rest. "Well.... that was fun..." Taakuin said, dusting himself off. "Guess now all we need is a Charizard tooth, which is going to be really, REALLY hard... =_=" He said, looking around. He heard something, something that sounded like a small boy. He looked down below him, and saw a small boy playing with a Charizard, who looked like it belonged to the child.
"What if we got a tooth from that one?" Taakuin said, pointing. "It's a tooth, just easier to get..." He got up and ran down to the boy, tapping him on the shoulder. "Excuse me little boy, but do you think we could have one of your Charizard's teeth?" The boy looked at him, saying, "If you can beat me in a battle!" Taakuin sweatdropped, looking down at him. "You really want to have a battle?" He asked, then said, "Isn't it past your bed time? You wouldn't want to get in trouble would you?" The boy looked at him, crossing his arms. "Like you know where I live, and besides, who cares what you say, you're just chicken!"
Taakuin looked behind the boy, seeing a small house, the lights out and a window open. "Oh, I think I do know where you live, right over there." he said, pointing at the house. "I will go over to the house and rat you out if you don't give me a tooth."
The boy looked at him, "You're bluffing, my parents don't even know you, so why would they listen to you?" Taakuin laughed, saying, "They don't need to know me for me to drag you to the door and hand you over so you can get grounded."
The boy looked away, saying, "Yeah well go ahead, you won't do it, I know it. You're too chicken to!" With that, Taakuin grabbed the boy by the arm, dragging him over to the house. "You're so in for it." he said, banging on the door.
A man opened the door, looking like he just woke up from sleeping, which was exactly what happened. "Excuse me sir, but is this your son? I found him outside playing with fire and other dangerous things. He also had a cigarette." Taakuin said, grinning as the boy began to panic.
"NO I DIDN'T!!! HE'S LYING DAD!!!" he cried, tears forming in his eyes. The dad grabbed the boy by the wrist, dragging him inside. "YOU ARE GROUNDED FOR LIFE YOUNG MAN. THAT MEANS NO VIDEO GAMES, TV, OR PLAYING WITH THAT WILD CHARIZARD!!" the boy was now sobbing, yelling as he was locked in his room.
Taakuin sweatdropped, closing the door himself and turning to the Charizard. "So it's wild huh? But it wasn't being mean to the boy at all, it was actually being nice to him." He walked up, reaching out his hand to pet the Charizard. It opened its mouth, whining a bit. "Char...." Taakuin looked at the mouth, and watched as the Charizard pointed to a tooth. Taakuin poked the tooth, watching as it wiggled.
"...A loose tooth!? Perfect! I'll have it out in no time at all!" Taakuin said, putting his hand on the tooth and pulling with all his might. The tooth popped out of the Charizards mouth, and it cheered happily. It thanked Taakuin (in it's own way) and flew off. "Well that wasn't very hard, too bad for that little kid though..." he said, getting on the hover board with Ricky.
After that they took the boat back to Snowpoint, rode the hover board to Lavaridge town, and found the house of the old man that needed the ingredients. He knocked on the door, waiting for an answer. When one didn't come, he walked inside and looked around for the man. "Hello?" he called, and walked into a room filled with miscellaneous things. The old man was working on something, and Taakuin walked up and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Excuse me, I have the things that you need to craft the erm, Jewel of Cinder?" He said, handing the items to the old man. He took them and set them on his desk. "Thank you, now please leave." the man said, waving Taakuin away. Taakuin glared at him as he left, wanting to know if it actually worked. He sighed and began heading back to the HQ to send LS the mission report.
~Mission~
Infiltration
Okay, here’s the skinny;
I am captain of the infamous Flarestorm pirates…what?! You’ve never heard of us?! Well that’s interesting >> anyway, there are a few other pirate crews out there that don’t seem to like me getting into ‘their’ territory >3. Fact is, the ocean’s free for all. There has been a certain crew that has been terrorizing ports that I consider MY territory. Right now I don’t have time to be off galley bantering with them, so I’m sending you. I’d like you to disguise yourself as a new crewmember, and take out the cannons on a ship by the name of The Domino. Captain Seymore is planning a raid on Sootopolis, but will be docking first in Lilycove and Mossdeep.
I also heard that he’s carrying a map of some treasure. I’d like for you to procure that for me as well. But above most, you MUST, I repeat MUST Stop Seymore from raiding Sootopolis…If they succeed…well, we’ll just say, that Darts and I will hunt you down and gouge your eyes out with numerous sharp objects. Got it memorized? Good, now, off you go.
Objective:
- Stop Captain Seymore from raiding Sootopolis by sabotaging his ship.
- Retrieve the map of a hidden treasure, and hand it in to me.
Opposition:
- The crew MIGHT catch you and a battle may ensue. That’s all up to you, but if you DO decide to battle, you may SNAG ONE pokemon available AT YOUR RANK.
- Oh, and then there’s the Captain…you’ll have to battle Seymore for the map. Make the battle a clever wager, he can’t STAND backing down from a bet FYI
Rewards:
- a pokemon egg
- a cut in the treasure from the map you procure
- and we’ll have to see after that
Taakuin read the mission, tucking away his pokepalm. “Looks like we’ve got some undercover work to do, should be fun knowing Tal. >3” Taakuin said, looking at Ricky. Ricky just shrugged, he was used to dressing up for stuff, being a pirate Squirtle was something new though. “Yeah…. Should be loads of fun.. -_-;” Taakuin grinned, tossing out his hover board and hopping on. “Lets get going then.” Ricky sighed, climbing onto the hover board and up onto Taakuin’s backpack. “You do realize we’ll need disguises don’t you?” Ricky asked, poking Taakuin in the head. “Yeah yeah, I’ve got that all figured out.” ‘Or at least I will when we get there… >.>’ he thought to himself. They sped off, on their way to Lilycove to intercept the raid on Sootopolis.
It took a while… actually a long while for them to get to Lilycove, but they were amped by the time they got there. “Alright, let’s go to the docks and see how tight security is.” Taakuin said, starting towards the docks. When they got there, the boat was there, the words, “The Domino”, were engraved into the side of the ship. There were about three guards at the ramp, making it impossible for them to sneak on. “Alright, plan B, we take out one of the crew members and casually walk onto the ship. :3” Taakuin said, walking off towards the city. “Yeah…. Piece of cake.. >.>” Ricky said, following closely. They searched the city for a while, trying to find a lone crew member. Guessing by the guards at the ship, their uniforms were red. They finally found one, a male about the size of Taakuin, the perfect guy to mug.
“Alright, now I’ll just try to distract him, but if I need help, get ready to hit him in the head with this.” Taakuin said, handing Ricky a wooden club. “Ummm…. Where’d you get this? >.>” He asked, looking at it. “Ehehe…. Don’t ask.. ._.” Taakuin said, walking off slowly. Ricky sighed, sneaking around the back to get into position. Taakuin approached the crew member, waving. “Hello there, how goes it?” The man turned to him, and Taakuin saw that he looked almost just like him. “…Oi… who are you?” He asked, looking at Taakuin, obviously noticing the resemblance also. “Oh that’s none of your concern, you see, I was just wondering if you’d be willing to lend me that uniform, I have a um… costume party to go to and that outfit is just perfect!” Taakuin said, sweatdropping slightly. “Argh… I don’t think so, the cap’n would have my head if I let sum stranger have it.” The boy said, hand going to his sword. Taakuin saw, reaching for his own sword. “There’ll be no need for that now will there? Unless of course you’d like to duel me for your uniform. >3” Taakuin said, drawing out his sword. The man grinned, obviously yearning for a fight. “Have at the then!” he said, drawing his sword and running at Taakuin.
Taakuin stepped to the side, dodging the attack easily. “You’ll have to do better than that to beat me!” he said, swinging his sword at the man. The man was able to block it, putting the two into a series of swings and blocks, just like a traditional sword fight. “You’re good, but not good enough!” Taakuin said, swinging again. The man twirled to the right, causing Taakuin’s sword to get wedged in a wood pillar. “…When did that get there? O.o” Taakuin yanked on his sword, but it was stuck. “s**t… ._.” he said, quickly ducking to avoid a swing from the man. He continued swinging at him, one almost cut Taakuin’s cheek. Taakuin quickly ducked again, crouching down and sweeping the man off his feet with his leg. He then pulled his sword out from the pillar, pointing it at the man. “Check mate. >3” The man dropped his sword, putting his hands up. “Alright, you got me… I surrender.” He said, standing up and dusting himself off. He then pulled just the sort of pirate move, he took a dagger out of his belt, pointing it at Taakuin’s throat. “Looks like I win…” he said, grinning. Taakuin sweatdropped, rather pissed now. ‘Should’ve seen that coming…’ he thought to himself.
Just then there was a loud thunk, followed by the man falling to the ground. Where he stood, standing on a few crates, stood Ricky, holding the club where the mans head was. “I figured that wasn’t fair. ^^” He said, throwing the club at the mans head and jumping down. “Now get dressed and lets go, the ship should be leaving soon.” Taakuin nodded, putting away his sword and slipping out of his clothes. A few minutes later he was dressed in a red shirt, black boots, and black pants with a red cloth belt. (Like this)User Image His sword was securely on his waist, and he was ready to go. “You know, you look really good in that.” Ricky commented as they walked back towards the docks. “Thanks, you don’t look half bad yourself.” Taakuin said. Ricky had a bandana on and an eye patch, he was the infamous ‘Cap’n Bubbles’.
As the two approached the ship, the guards nodded at them, not saying anything as they walked up the ramp and onto The Domino. The ship was actually really nice, but Taakuin still preferred Tal’s Scarlet Lady. Someone yelled, and the sails were let out, the ship was now leaving Lilycove, and headed for the next pit stop, Mossdeep. Taakuin felt surprisingly calm on the ship, and nobody seemed to notice that he had replaced their now unconscious crew member, who by the way was still in Lilycove, and would be for quite a while. “Alright, now all we need to do is stop them from raiding Sootopolis. I’m thinking about clogging the cannons, cutting a few ropes, and loosening the wheel.” Taakuin said quietly as they walked along, trying to look productive. “Good plan, but I think we could do better. How about we sabotage the captains quarters too. While we look for the map that is.” Ricky said. He water gunned the deck, allowing Taakuin to mop to stall until they got to Mossdeep. At the speed the ship was going, they’d be there in no time at all.
When they got to Mossdeep, Taakuin and Ricky were actually mopping, the deck looked cleaner than ever. “Wow…. That looks so nice! ^^” Taakuin said as they finished, the deck now dry and clean. Ricky sighed, tugging Taakuin away. “I overheard a few crew members, and apparently we’re going to raid Sootopolis tomorrow, so that gives us all night to sabotage the ship.” Ricky said, looking around. The ship was empty except for them, it looked like the whole crew was staying at a hotel or somewhere for the night. As the Captain walked past, he pointed at Taakuin. “You, stay here for the night and guard the ship. If I find you sleeping, it’ll be your head.” He said, walking away. “Aye aye captain!” Taakuin stammered, turning to Ricky. “Alright, let’s get this started now.” Ricky nodded, running toward the lower deck where the cannons were. He and Taakuin took a cannon ball, dropping it into the cannon and then clogging it with gunpowder. Ricky then ice beamed the front of it, building up a large but unnoticeable ice barrier inside. They did this to the rest of the cannons, and they couldn’t help but snicker while doing this. “If Tal were here she’d be having so much fun.” Taakuin commented as they finished up the last cannon. “Yeah, alright, next is the ropes, we want to cut them just enough for them to snap when tugged on, but not enough to make them noticeable.” Ricky said, pointing at them.
Taakuin climbed up the ropes, cutting them a bit as he went. He accidentally trapped himself, but managed to continue by doing a surprisingly and seemingly impossible flip up to the next set of ropes. This task wasn’t so hard, but it sure was time consuming, and Ricky hadn’t thought of working on the wheel while Taakuin worked on the ropes. He was too busy worrying Taakuin would fall. “Alright, got all of them. Don’t think anyone will want to climb those anytime soon. >3” Taakuin said as the swung down on an un-cut rope, landing safely on his feet next to Ricky. “That was really impressive… o.o” Ricky said as they ran over to the wheel. “It was nothing, actually, all that training I’ve been doing is paying off.” Taakuin said, taking out a screw driver and loosening the wheel just enough to where it wouldn’t steer the ship. “There, sabotaged and ready for disaster.” Taakuin said, standing up. “Great, now lets go to the captains quarters and get the map.” Ricky said, tugging on Taakuin’s pant leg and running off.
They walked into the room, slightly stunned. The room was beautiful, just the better for sabotaging >3 . Taakuin quickly dug through all the drawers and shelves, making as much of a mess as possible in the process. Ricky went through the closet and messed up the bed, water gunning and ice beaming parts. “This is fun, but the map isn’t here!” Taakuin said, tossing the rest of what he found onto the floor. Ricky nodded in agreement, “The Captain probably has the map, but as long as we’re here lets get some things. >3” They went through a trunk at the end of the bed, finding an abundance of gold and jewelry. Taakuin took out a coin sack, stuffing it until it was full. Ricky stuffed his shell with as much as he could. They were about to leave when something caught Taakuin’s eye. He picked up a dagger encrusted with sapphires, rubies, and emeralds. “Man that’s cool. *.*” Taakuin said, tucking it away. He also grabbed a ring, golden and studded with rubies. “I’ve got just the hybrid to give that to.” He said, tucking it away also. Surely the Captain wouldn’t notice anything missing. >3
When they had successfully sabotaged the ship, the two hid in a few barrels, waiting for the captain to come back so they could take the map from him. They fell asleep, but were awakened by loud shouts and angry yells. “WHO DID THIS TO MY SHIP?!?! I WANT TO KNOW WHO DID IT SO I CAN KILL THEM!!” the voice was that of the Captains, obviously having noticed the mess and not having been able to leave the dock thanks to the cut ropes and loosened wheel. Taakuin sighed, hopping out of the barrel only when he knew it was clear. Ricky was next to him, eyeing the captain. “Taakuin, there, in his shirt.” Ricky said, tugging on Taakuin’s pant leg and pointing. Sure enough, the map was rolled up inside Seymore’s shirt. Taakuin sighed, stepping forward. “I did this, you got a problem with it?” He asked, grinning. “YOU!!!!” Seymore said, stomping over to him. “YOU DID THIS?!” Taakuin nodded. “Yup. >3” Seymore grabbed him by the shirt, yelling in his face. “I’LL HAVE YOU KILLED!! YOU WON’T LIVE TO SEE ANOTHER DAY!!” Taakuin pushed Seymores hand off, stepping back. “Blech, dude, ever heard of soap and toothpaste? Your breath smells like Magicarp. ._.” Seymore’s face was red, now he was furious.
“THAT’S IT!! YOU’RE DONE FOR!!” Seymore yelled, throwing out a Pokeball. Taakuin smiled, getting one of his Pokeballs out. Seymore’s released a Totodile. Taakuin threw out his own, releasing Katon, his Torchic. “Let’s make a little wager, I win, I get the map and your Totodile. You win, you get my Torchic and this.” Taakuin said, holding up the dagger he stole. “YOU TOOK THAT?!” Seymore yelled, followed by, “Totodile, water gun!” The Totodile opened it’s mouth, spraying out a blast of water. “Katon! Dodge and use peck!” Katon jumped out of the way, landing next to the Totodile and pecking it in the face. “Totodile! Bite!” Seymore yelled, still angry. “Katon, flamethrower!” Just as the Totodile was about to bite Katon, he released a large stream of fire from his mouth, burning the Totodile harshly. “Totodile use water gun again!” Seymore called. The Totodile quickly shot a stream of water from it’s mouth, hitting Katon hard. “Katon!” Taakuin called. Katon began to glow, growing larger and standing up. “Combusken!” He said, quickly scratching the Totodile in the face. The Totodile jumped in the air to avoid the attack, big mistake. “Katon use sky uppercut!” Taakuin called. Katon’s claws, feet, and head feathers began to glow blue, and he quickly jumped into the air, hitting the Totodile and knocking it out. “Good work Katon! Return!” Taakuin said, returning Katon to his Pokeball. “Looks like you loose Seymore!” Taakuin grabbed out a Pokeball, throwing it at the Totodile. One….two….three….click! Taakuin walked over and picked up the Pokeball, grinning.
“Hand over the map.” He said, walking over to Seymore. Seymore looked down in shame, taking out the map and putting it in Taakuin’s hand. “Looks like I lost, as to be expected when facing someone from the Flarestorm pirates…” He said, walking away. “How’d he know that? O.o” Taakuin questioned as they quickly ran off the ship, jumping on the hover board and speeding back to HQ. Taakuin walked inside, still in his pirate outfit. He actually found it comfortable. “Well… that was fun and eventful… ._. Hope I don’t see him again.” Taakuin said, plopping down on the couch and looking at the map.
~Medium Mission~
Team Magmas and Team Aquos
Team Magmas ultimate goal is to expand land and to capture Groudon while Team Aquos ultimate goal is to expand the ocean and capture Kyogre, making the two Teams rivals right? Your mission is to go there and to break the Teams up again by making it seem like one Team is betraying the other. But of course you will be caught as you make your way up to the top of Mt. Pyre. You will have to fight two Team Magmas peons and two Team Aqous peons with 2-4 pokemon (1st and 2nd evos) each and then make your way to the top and fight a Team Magmas Adim and a Team Aquos Adim with 4-6 fully evoled pokemon.
Objective: Stop Team Magmas and Team Aquos from coming together.
Opposition: 2 Team Magmas peons, 2 Team Aquos peons, 1 Team Magmas Adim, and 1 Team Aquos Adim.
Pokemon: Any 1st or 2nd Evo Fire, Ground, Water, or Ice Pokemon. (Snag only)
Rewards: Depends on quality of the Mission.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Taakuin read the mission, thinking for a bit. “I thought we already beat them… o.o” He said, walking out of the HQ and hopping onto his hoverboard. He had to get to Mt. Pyre as soon as he could, and stop this from happening. He was quickly on his way, knowing where to go from doing one of LS’ missions before. The trip would take quite a while, but he found something to distract himself with, thinking about becoming a hybrid. “Ahhhh…. Can’t wait until that day…” he said as the wind blew on his face. To him, in what seemed like a matter of minutes, when it actually took a little more than an hour. “Ug… I forgot how big that thing was…” he said, looking up the large mountain. Then it dawned on him, “Got it. C’mon out Huo!” he called, throwing out the Arcanine’s ball. Huo barked happily, allowing Taakuin to climb on his back. “We need to get to the top as fast as possible, okay?”

Huo ran up the mountain as fast as he could, jumping from boulder to boulder. They were about a quarter of the way up when they ran into a team Magmas and team Aquos peon. “Halt! You have no business here, now leave before we have to make you!” The Magmas peon said, throwing out a Pokeball containing a Magmar. The Aquos peon threw out a Peliper. Taakuin grinned. “You know that you’re bosses are planning on turning on each other don’t you?” he said, tossing out his Pichu and Lotad. “What?! Why would you guys do that?!” The Magmas peon said, turning to the Aquos. “Us?! You’re the double crossers!” he said. The two faced each other, sighing. “Well lets at least get rid of this pest!” The Aquos member said, turning back to Taakuin. “If you really want to….” Taakuin sighed, followed by, “Sparky! Use thundershock on the Peliper! Sombrero, use water gun on the Magmar!” Sparky built up an electrical charge, firing it at the Peliper, hitting it hard. It quickly used Roost, healing itself almost completely. The water gun hit the Magmar, who wasn’t able to heal afterwards. “Magmar, flamethrower!” “Peliper, hydro pump!” The two called.

The flamethrower hit Sparky and Sombrero, both of them badly burned. It was quickly followed by the hydro pump, dousing the flames but hitting the two just as hard. Sombrero stood up, glowing. In a bright flash of light he evolved into a Lombre, looking just as injured but still able to battle. Sparky hopped on top of his lily-pad, charging up a skull bash. Sombrero fired a water gun at the Peliper, and at that moment Sparky stopped his attack and launched an electric attack through the water stream at the Peliper. The bird fell to the ground, knocked out. “Snag ball go!” Taakuin said, tossing an ultra ball at the Peliper. One….two…..three….click! Taakuin picked up the Pokeball, tucking it away. The Magmar panicked, running around until Sparky bashed into it’s head, knocking them both out. “Sparky, return!” Taakuin said, tucking away the Pokeball. The Magmas peon returned his Magmar also, tossing out another Pokeball. The Aquos did the same. “Flareon go!” “Vaporeon go!” the two eons were sent out. Taakuin recalled Sombrereo, tossing out Aurora and Zander’s Pokeballs. The Vaporeon and Jolteon looked at the opposites, facing off against the one they were strong against. “Aurora use water gun! Zander use thunderbolt!” Aurora fired a stream of water at the Flareon, Zander a bolt of lighting at the Vaporeon. The Flareon was hit, the Vaporeon jumped out of the way.

The Vaporeon then used an ice beam on Aurora, who countered with a hyper beam. The Vaporeon was hit into the side of the mountain, knocked out rather quickly. The Flareon jumped at Zander, who slid out of the way, the unfortunate Flareon flew off the side of the mountain, clinging to a branch. The two were obviously defeated, one knocked out and the other hanging over a very high drop. They were returned, and the peons turned to each other. “You made us loose on purpose! You dirty double-crosser!” “What?! My Pokemon got snagged! Why would I make us loose?!” the two argued as Taakuin quickly slipped pass, continuing up the mountain, on foot now. “Yeesh… this is sooo fun. >3”

The top of the mountain was close, but alas, another pair of peons was in the way. “Uggg…. Why don’t you just fight each other since you’re both going to double-cross each other anyways?!” Taakuin said, hoping that they would end up fighting one another. “I trust him completely.” The Aquos peon said, putting her hand on the Magmas’ shoulder. “Yeah!” he said, but Taakuin could see a sign of doubt in his expression. “Fine then, let’s battle and see how you feel afterwards.” Taakuin said, tossing out Huo and Sparky’s Pokeball. He gave Sparky a revive, and the Pichu was ready to go. “Fine! Quilava go!” “Go Crocnaw!” Sparky hopped onto Huo’s back, who ran at the two Pokemon.

“Huo use flamethrower! Sparky use charm!” Sparky jumped down in front of the Quilava, eyes large and looking cute as ever. The Quilava stared at him, with an, ‘Awwwwwwww!’ look on it’s face. Sparky then gave a devilish grin, jumping to the side, revealing Huo, who was firing a large flamethrower at the Quilava. It yelped, falling to the ground. “Quilava return!” The Magmas peon then threw out a Combusken. The Magmas face was sweaty, glancing at the Aquos peon every few seconds, Taakuin’s words had obviously gotten to him. The Crocnaw fired a water gun at Huo, who yelped in pain. He jumped back, Sparky jumping onto the Crocnaw’s face and letting out an electric shock. By the look on Sparky’s face, you could tell that he was enjoying this.

The Crocnaw was knocked out by the unexpected attack, and Sparky was looking better than ever. Something happened to Sparky though. He began to glow, but before he could evolve, the light vanished, and Sparky was still a Pichu. “That was weird…” Taakuin said, but didn’t have time to think about it now. Huo jumped in front of the Combusken, who just about pissed itself. It was obviously scared of the large Arcanine, but hey, who wouldn’t be? x3 The Aquos returned the Crocnaw, sending out a Wartortle. This was when things got interesting.

The Combusken turned to the Wartortle, using an uncalled for flamethrower. The Wartortle didn’t have time to react, and was therefore burned, now quite angry. “What are you doing?!” The Aquos peon said, turning to the Magmas. “I won’t let you turn on us, I’ll stop you!” The Magmas said. “Combusken use sky uppercut!” The Combusken quickly sky uppercut’ the Wartortle, who again, wasn’t ready for it. It returned the attack with a hydro pump, knocking the Combusken into the Magmas peon. This was over for him, and also the Aquos. “Huo return! Sparky use thunder!” Taakuin called, quickly tossing the Pichu at the group of people and Pokemon. It let out a massive thunder attack, and when the light cleared the Magmas peon, Aquos peon, Combusken, and Wartortle were all knocked out. “Cheap shot for the win. :3” Taakuin said, returning Sparky.

He continued running up the mountain, tossing the unconscious bodies in the bushes. So far, this mission was going well, that was what he thought until he got to the top of the mountain. The peons all turned to him, then the Admins. “Hm? Who are you?” “And what are you doing here?” The Admins said, finishing each others sentences. “Alright, first off, none of your business, and second, to stop you two! I kinda figured that’d be obvious… o.o” Taakuin said, getting ready for a battle. The Admins seemed to read his mind. They each sent out four Pokemon. For Aquos; Blastoise, Feraligatr, Swampert, and Empoleon. For Magmas; Charizard, Typhlosion, Blaziken, and Infernape. “Woah! Not fair! Eight versus five?!” Taakuin said, completely against the all out battle. Of course, he had to throw out the Pokemon he had, better than nothing. “Huo, Sombrero, Sparky, Aurora, Zander!” The Arcanine, Lombre, Pichu, Vaporeon, and Jolteon all looked at their opponents, sweatdropping a bit.

“Ug… this is gonna be hell…” Taakuin said. “Well, I guess I can at least tell you something that you might find interesting. Seems that Team Aquos here is planning on double-crossing you!” The Admins looked at each other, so did all the peons. A quiet murmur soon became loud shouts as the two teams started arguing. “How could you do that?!” “You double-crossing a**!!” Taakuin watched as battles broke out, and not Pokemon battles. Everyone started punching, kicking, and some of the females slapping, everyone else. The Admins turned to each other, angry. “You were going to double-cross us this whole time?!” The Magmas admin said, punching the Aquos admin in the cheek. Aquos looked at him, rubbing his cheek and then punching Magmas in the chin. They then began to punch each other, each getting a good hit on the other and then getting a good hit themselves.

Taakuin watched, returning his Pokemon, knowing there would be no need for them now. The eight Pokemon belonging to the admins turned at the opposite team, growling. Taakuin sweatdropped at that very moment. The Magmas Pokemon were charging up a large blast burn, while the Aquos were charging an equally large hydro cannon. Taakuin quickly booked it away from that area, hiding behind a large boulder. A few seconds passed, and for a split second, everything went completely silent. Then, as expected, there was a loud, “BBBOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM!!!” accompanied by a large explosion. Taakuin peeked his head over his hiding spot, eyes wide at the sight. The whole mountain top was covered in unconscious bodies, Magmas and Aquos all on the ground, next to one another. The Pokemon were also unconscious, and if you hadn’t known what happened, you’d think they were all the best of friends, laying peacefully next to each other….pfft, yeah right. >3

Taakuin tossed out Huo’s Pokeball, climbing on his back and jumping down the mountain. Taakuin was too tired to travel back to the HQ, and pitched a tent at the base of the mountain, leaving all his Pokemon out with him. Meanwhile, a shadowy figure was standing in a tree above Taakuin, red eyes watching him very carefully. Creepy much? o.o;

Around this time, the residents of Cerulean hold their annual Water Festival. This festival has been a tradition among the city, thanks to its Gym Leader. However, that alone doesn't seem to stop some people from trying to ruin it in any way possible. Rather, it seems to encourage it on occasion.

Reports are coming in from Cerulean that, lo and behold, Team Aquos is planning to sabotage the festival in a few ways. Obviously, one of those ways is likely gonna be to try and make off with as many Water-types as possible, but again, they probably won't stop there. Either way, these kind of plans are just the thing that makes me sick.

Your mission, should you choose the accept it, is to go and attend the festival, but keep Team Aquos from letting any of their plans succeed. I hope that you enjoy what part(s) of the festival you do get to partake in, and good luck.

Objectives:
- Head to Cerulean City and attend the festival. (Feel free to be creative with this; I'm looking for some creativity in this mission.)
- Fight 3-5 Aquos Peons with 3-4 PKMN each. Team Aquos typically uses Water-types, but have been known to use other types at times.
- Prevent any and all of Team Aquos' plans to sabotage the Water Festival.

Difficulty: Medium

Obtainable PKMN:
- 1 First/Second Evo PKMN allowable at your rank (snag from the Peons).

Rewards:
- $2,000 - $2,500
- The rest varies from there.

Taakuin hadn’t actually read the mission before he left for Cerulean city. He figured that, ‘With a name like Water festival it had to be good!’ Of course, that was what he thought until he read the part about Team Aquos. “You’ve got to be kidding me…. I hate those guys. -_-;” Taakuin said, walking around the city and looking at all the festivities. Other than fighting Aquos, this would be very nice. :3

He encountered his first peon at the corn-dog stand. “One corn-dog ple- HEY!” Taakuin said as a man cut in front of him. Taakuin realized it was an Aquos member when he saw him, the uniform was all-too familiar. “You guys!!” Taakuin said, taking out three Pokeballs. The Aquos member had his face stuffed with corn-dog, and all that could be heard was a muffled, “Mmmmrrrmfff urrmmfff!” Taakuin tossed out Aurora, Sparky, and Dakota’s Pokeballs.

The Aquos peon threw out a Politoad, Poliwhirl, and Poliwrath. “That’s a lot of Poli’s, why don’t they have some lollies?” Taakuin said, quietly laughing at his little pun as Sparky took out a bag of lollipops, hurling them at the Pokemon. The Pokemon looked at the Lollipops, picking them up and stuffing, or at least trying to stuff them, in their mouths. The Poliwhirl and Poliwrath weren’t able to put them in their mouth since it was kina a one-way deal. o.o The Politoad on the other hand quickly ate all the lollipops, belching up a pile of sticks. “That’s nasty… -_-;” Taakuin said. “Dakota use bite on that Poliwhirl!” Dakota jumped on the Poliwhirl, biting onto it’s arm and not letting go. It waved it’s arm around, but Dakota was being stubborn, growling and kicking up some dirt in the Poliwhirl’s face. “Aurora use tackle on the Poliwhirl, Sparky use thundershock!” Aurora ran and tackled down the Poliwhirl, Dakota now released her bite. Sparky then let out a lightning attack, finishing off the Poliwhirl, teamwork for the win :3.

The peon returned the Poliwhirl, and the Politoad and Poliwrath stepped up. The Poliwrath punched Dakota, knocking her back quite a ways. The Politoad followed up the attack with a water gun, making Dakota yelp in pain. “Sparky, use thunderbolt on the Politoad!” The Pichu ran up next to the Politoad, then let out a bolt of lightning, zapping the Politoad and also charging himself with more electrical power, making the attack even stronger. In a few seconds the Politoad was out, and returned.

The Poliwrath took advantage of the distraction and was beating up Dakota, who was yelping and whining in pain. Sparky ran up and jumped on the Poliwrath, bashing it’s skull with his own, the expression on his face saying, “Leave her alone you jack a**! >O” Aurora tackled the Poliwrath down, about to finish it when Dakota glowed a bright light, and where she was before was now a Mightyena, growling at the Poliwrath. Aurora jumped off it’s target, grabbing Sparky by the scruff of the neck and carrying him away from Dakota. “Ummm… Dakota?” Taakuin said. Dakota ignored him, she was acting completely different.

The Poliwrath went to punch Dakota, but she slid to the side, avoiding the attack. She then bit down hard on the Poliwrath’s arm, a trickle of blood could be seen. The Poliwrath ran to it’s trainer, who recalled it. Taakuin quickly withdrew Dakota, she needed some…. Alone time.. o.o; The peon ran away, still stuffing his mouth with corn-dogs. “…Fatty…” Taakuin said, getting his corn-dog and walking off. He decided to go to the fun house next. He especially liked the mirror that made him look buff. :3

He walked inside the fun house, looking around. It was pretty dim like always, gave that sort of creepy feeling. There was a loud bash, and the sound of shattering mirrors. Taakuin quickly hid behind a small wall, and watched as another peon walked past. Taakuin quickly jumped out from behind the wall, punching the peon in the face. The peon however, just stood there. Suddenly, a mirror shatters where Taakuin punched. “Wrong one…>3” The peon said, the mirrors reflecting multiples of him. Taakuin began punching and kicking all the mirrors, using his automail arm and leg. Once all the mirrors were shattered, the peon could be seen, standing directly across from Taakuin. “Let’s just get to the battle so I can steal your Pokemon!” The peon said, throwing out a Marill, Azumarill, and Azuril.

Taakuin tossed out Aurora, Sparky, and Pogo. “Pogo soak the Azuril with a water gun!” The Totodile shot out a steady stream of water, the Azuril getting soaked. The peon hadn’t guessed what Taakuin was planning, which wasn’t very good…for him >3. “Sparky, use thunderbolt on the Azuril!” The Pichu stepped up, standing next to the Pokemon and letting out a bolt of lightning, which ran through the water on the ground, all the way to the small little Azuril. It was shocked violently, knocked out in an instant. The Marill and Azumarill both shot a strong water gun at Aurora, knocking her into a wall. “Aurora return!” Taakuin said, returning the knocked out Vaporeon to it’s Pokeball. “Alright, Pogo, soak this whole place, we’re going to finish this up.” Taakuin said.

The Totodile began firing a water gun in every direction, the whole fun house was getting wet, the pieces of mirror were rising with the water. “Alright, Pogo return!” Taakuin said, returning the Totodile and stepping back a bit. “Sparky, on the count of three okay?” The Pichu nodded, and Taakuin ran out of the building. Sparky counted, one….two….three! From Taakuin’s point of view, the entire fun house was lit up like the fourth of July, sparks flying everywhere, followed by the building catching on fire. “Oh s**t…. o.o” Taakuin said, running into the building. The air was hot, the lightning had heated it, making it rather hard to breath normal. Taakuin tossed aside large pieces of wood, searching for the poor Pichu. Taakuin then saw him, knocked out under a large piece of wood. “Ug… Pogo, Aurora, douse this fire!” The Totodile and Vaporeon quickly began dousing the flames while Taakuin worked on freeing the trapped Pichu. Once he had gotten Sparky free, he returned him, and ran outside with Aurora and Pogo.

“Stand back!” An officer said, a bunch of water Pokemon had come to help out. The flames were soon put out, and the peon and his Pokemon were found inside, burnt fairly well. “Looks like this guy was the cause of the fire, he’s going to be doing some jail-time after he gets out of the hospital.” The officer said as the ambulance sped off. Taakuin sighed, dusting himself off and returning Aurora and Pogo. “Well… I think I’m ready to just sit and watch now. -_-;” He said, walking toward the water show, a place where various water Pokemon, including a Wailord, would do various tricks for the audience.

Taakuin managed to find a seat towards the front, of course, when he chose that seat, he didn’t realize that he would get wet. The first act was a group of Seals and Dewgongs. They started with beach balls, tossing them back and forth, and even a few into the crowd. “This is pretty cool. :3” Taakuin said as he hit a ball back into the crowd. At the end of the act, the Seals and Dewgongs used Aura Beam, and since it was getting dark, it looked very amazing. The Seals and Dewgongs exited, and next up was the Milotic. Needless to say, it was very beautiful.

It did miscellaneous tricks such as jumping through hoops, freezing some things with ice beam, and some lucky kids even got pictures with it. The Milotic act was short, but very memorable. The final act, and the one where Taakuin would unknowingly get wet, was the Wailord act. The large whale Pokemon came out into the middle of the even larger water tank, spraying the crowd with mist from it’s blow-hole. The mist wasn’t that bad, it was when the Wailord did a flip that Taakuin had an, “Oh s**t” moment. There was a very large splash, and the entire crowd was soaked, Taakuin didn’t happen to have a poncho with him, so he was rather unlucky.

About halfway through the act, there was some trouble. A group of three Sharpedo’s were released into the tank, and although he couldn’t see where, Taakuin knew it was from an Aquos member. “Why won’t they just let me enjoy the festival?!” Taakuin complained, throwing out Pogo, Aurora, and Ricky, who climbed out of his backpack. “Pogo and Ricky, defend the Wailord from the Sharpedo! Aurora, Acid Armour! Pogo and Ricky swam over to the Wailord, one on each side of it, keeping the Sharpedo at bay. One of the Sharpedo bit onto Ricky, who thankfully hid in his shell at the last second. Ricky then fired an ice beam, freezing the Sharpedo in place, but also freezing it onto himself. Pogo was busy himself, he managed to keep one of the Sharpedo away, but the other was swimming right for him, about to bite the small Totodile.

Just as Pogo was about to be gulped up, a pulse of water came from nowhere, hitting the Sharpedo, making it confused, looking around and biting at random spots in the water. There were a few more pulses of water, the Sharpedo was officially going insane. One more pulse, this one larger than all the others, hit the Sharpedo, knocking it out, floating to the top of the water. “Snag ball go!” Taakuin quickly tossed a net ball at the Sharpedo before the peon could return it. One….two….three….click! Pogo tossed the ball to Taakuin, who watched as it teleported to his computer box. Aurora appeared in the water, fading back in from her Acid Armour- Water Pulse combo, it was her favorite.

Pogo and Aurora turned, facing the other Sharpedo. “Everyone jump on top of the Wailord!” Taakuin called. Aurora, Pogo, and Ricky jumped on the top of the large whale Pokemon. “Now use ice beam at the water surface!” The three charged up a light blue ball in their mouths, firing three ice beams at the surface of the water. The ice covered the entire tank of water, and it grew thicker and thicker. The Sharpedo could be seen under the ice, trying to break through it with no success. The peon had apparently left, and the Sharpedo were netted and taken to an empty tank and kept there. The Wailord act had to be cut short since the ice was now a skating rink, but after that ‘show’ the crowd didn’t seem to mind. Pogo began to glow, evolving into his second evolution, Crocnaw. “Well, very nice!” Taakuin said, returning all three of his Pokemon. He would have stayed longer at the festival, but he was thoroughly tired and ready for sleep. He headed back to HQ, and once there, konked out on the couch.

Mission

Tribute to the Anne

The S.S. Anne, a luxury cruise ship that capsized and sank to the depths of the ocean. A few lives were lost in the sinking, and in memory of them, every year, the people at the ports of Vermillion Harbor sail out to the sinking site and leaves white roses. But something is odd this year. A couple of days ago, divers have went down to find any valuables that may have belonged to the survivors. The divers never returned. Some say it is territorial Water Pokemon. Others say it may be the ghosts of the S.S. Anne. Whatever the case may be, it cannot be good.

Your mission is to go into the depths and find the divers, that is, if they are alive. If matters could not get any worse, the situation has caught Team Aquos attention and is heading that way. You are to stop them from coming in the area at all costs.

Opposition
---4 Team Aquos Peons with 2 Pokemon each

Taakuin was sitting in front of the HQ, reading the mission on his PokePalm. After a while, he realized he hadn’t seen Blizz for a few days. “Hm… must be a busy guy..” he said, tucking away his PokePalm and tossing out his hover board. He needed to get to Vermillion and take the boat to the sinking site, and would figure out what to do from there. He jumped on the hover board, speeding of for his first destination, that was after he figured out which Pokemon he’d be using. He chose his Squirtle, Croconaw, Sharpedo, Vaporeon, and Golduck. “Well, this should be fun, haven’t been diving before. :3”

Taakuin kept himself busy on the trip by –attempting- to do tricks on his hover board, about 9 out of 10 times he landed on either his face or butt. The one that he did manage to get was doing a small jump off a pile of dirt. Inside, he felt kinda accomplished :3. “Alright, Vermilion should be right… he-“*BAM*….Taakuin had been focusing on his PokePalm too much and accidentally ran into… “The welcome sign… -_-;” He said, standing up and dusting himself off. “Gah…. Stupid sign…mumblegrumble…” Taakuin walked the rest of the way to the boat, where he flashed his I.D. card and stepped onto the ship.

“Woah… o.o fancy ship…” He said, looking around as he was –this was so cool for him- escorted by a butler to his room. Once he was inside and the door was shut, his facial expression showed exactly how he felt, which he then yelled. “WHOOOO!! THIS IS SOOO AWESOME!!!” He ran around his room, jumping and dancing, when after only a few minutes, there was a knock on his door. He opened it, and another butler was standing there.

“Excuse me Sir, but the other guests have been complaining about you’re rowdiness. I’ll have to ask you to quiet down.” The butler said. Taakuin looked at him, a smug look on his face. “Well of course they can hear me, they’re right next to me!” The butler coughed, “Actually, the ones that were complaining are the ones on the floor above you, actually, two floors. -_-;” Taakuin sweatdropped, “Eheheheh… my bad… o.o” He said, closing the door. The butler could be heard walking down the hall. “Man….. now I gotta be quiet. ._.”

After a few hours, Taakuin decided to go to sleep, he’d need it if he was going to fight Team Aquos –again- tomorrow. He crawled in his bed, pulling the covers over himself, and quickly falling asleep, dreams of swimming in the water were floating through his head. But unknown to Taakuin, he’d be swimming sooner than he expected. Dun-dun-DUN!! <.<;>.>

Taakuin woke up to a loud creak, the kind of sound a large ship makes. He heard panicked screams and shouts, and decided to investigate. He walked into the hallway, dressed and backpack on, when a man ran past him, yelling, “THESHIPISSINKINGOHMYGODWHATAREWEGOINGTODO?!?” Taakuin watched as the man ran down the hall, a sign on the wall reading; “Emergency rafts” Taakuin cursed. “Ug…. I never get a break…T-T” He ran down the hall too, not wanting to get stuck on the presently sinking ship.

When he got to the emergency rafts, everyone was bustling around in a frenzied hassle to get to a raft. Taakuin was about to get on one when he heard a crying woman. A few men were holding her from running back into the main part of the boat. “My baby!!! I can’t leave her!!” she was crying. A shiver went down Taakuin’s spine, he ran over to the woman. “Where is your child?” he asked, looking her straight in the eyes. “She’s on the first floor, room 777!” She cried, tears running down her face. Taakuin took off, running through the halls, ignoring the rising water level.

He actually had to dive under a part to get to the first floor, which was about halfway full of water. Taakuin ‘ran’ as fast as he could through the water until he found room seven hundred and seventy seven. “This is it!” He said, kicking the door open. The room was dark, Taakuin blinked three times fast, turning on his ‘flashlight’ eyes. At first he didn’t see anything, but he saw a small girl on the bed, in the corner of the room. Taakuin tossed out his Golduck, Quackers, Pokeball. “Quackers swim over and get her! Quick!” The Golduck nodded, swimming swiftly through the water and picking up the small girl. “Alright now let’s go!” Taakuin said, swimming down the hallway with Quackers and the girl right behind him.

The first floor was completely underwater by the time they got to the emergency rafts. Taakuin looked, cursing. “All the rafts are gone!!” He said, beckoning Quackers over. “Alright, we’re gonna have to jump, but we’ll have to go one at a time so we can keep her safe.” Taakuin said, nodding at the girl. “I’ll go first.” He then turned to the girl. “You’re going to have to jump down to me, but don’t be scared, I’ll keep you safe.” He nodded at his Golduck before turning and jumping into the water. It wasn’t that long of a drop, but for a small girl, it was like a endless pit. Taakuin popped his head out of the water, sending out the rest of his water Pokemon. “Just get ready to help her to the surface after she jumps.” He told them, they all nodded, diving underwater.

Quackers waved, and the little girl jumped off the boat, landing with a big splash in the water. Taakuin’s Pokemon managed to help her get to the top, where she held on to Ricky and Pogo, the Squirtle and Croconaw. Quackers was in the water behind them quick, he and Aurora were covering the back while Jaws was covering the front. They’d need a good defense to keep wild Pokemon away. They had been traveling a while, exhausted and chilled, when they spotted a raft. “There it is!” he said, pointing. They picked up their pace until the reached the raft, climbing in. “Thanks a bunch guys, I owe you major.” Taakuin said, returning his Pokemon.

He and the little girl were covered in many, many towels and blankets, everyone else was making sure they were alright, saying, “How’d you survive?” and “Are you alright?” Taakuin ignored the questions, looking for the girl’s mother. She wasn’t on this raft, and according to the rest of the people that had seen her, she went back for her daughter. “But the ships gotta be completely underwater by now….” Taakuin said, looking at the little girl. A wave of dread flowed over him, he was suddenly filled with immense sadness. The little girl turned to him, saying, “…Where’s my mommy?...” Taakuin’s eyes filled with tears. “I…I don’t-….I don’t know….” The little girl began crying, “I want my mommy!” Taakuin knew this little girl would never see her mother again, a feeling he knew completely.

When the raft finally made it to a city, everyone was found by their family and friends. The little girl was picked up by her grandparents. The grandmother took the little girl while the grandfather spoke to Taakuin. “Her father died in the sinking of the S.S. Anne. And now her mother…. I couldn’t imagine the feeling of loosing both of your parents at such a young age…” Taakuin looked at the little girl, hiding his emotions slightly. “I can….” The grandfather didn’t say anything but, “Thank you for saving her. You’re a good person.” What he said didn’t change how Taakuin felt. That little girl would never see her parents again, nothing could bring them back…

After Taakuin had remotely recovered from his little pitty party, he decided to get to work. He kept telling himself, “There is nothing I can do. I did all I can.” He found his way to a diving rental’s shop, where he rented a diving suit and two air tanks. “Thank you, I’ll have them back as soon as possible.” Taakuin said, walking out of the shop. He made his way to the docks next, where a fisherman offered to take him out for free, claimed it was ‘on the way’ and no trouble. Taakuin thanked him, and they were soon on their way to the S.S. Anne sink site. Once there, Taakuin thanked the man again, and once he had his suit ready, dove into the water.

He sent out all of his Pokemon, Ricky, Pogo, Aurora, Jaws, and Quackers. They all dove down to the ship, making their way into the underwater oasis. They searched the ship, opening the rooms to find multiple Corsla, Clampearl, and other water Pokemon. It was a while before they encountered Team Aquos, two of the peons confronted them, their own Tentecool, Tentecruel, Staryu, and Starmie. The four Pokemon quickly attacked. Aurora, Jaws, Quackers, and Ricky countered their attacks. Aurora quickly vanished into the water, Acid Armour was her usual first attack. She decided to go after the Staryu. Multiple water pulses came from ‘nowhere’ hitting the Staryu and confusing it. Quackers finished it off with a psybeam, and the Aquos peon returned it. Aurora remained hidden in the water.

The Tentecool attacked Ricky, too scared to attack Jaws the Sharpedo. Ricky swam out of the way of a confusion, firing a water gun in return. Although the water gun couldn’t be seen, it hit the Tentecool with full force. The Tentecool wrapped it’s tentacles around the nearest target, the Starmie. It let out a sludge bomb, hitting the Starmie who was knocked out from the close-range attack. The defeated peon swam away, out of the ship and to the surface. Jaws swam at the Tentecool, biting it repeatedly, a dark liquid coming from it. Taakuin realized it was blood, and luckily the Tentecool was returned before it was devoured. o.o;

The Tentecruel wrapped tentacles around Jaws, Quackers, and Ricky. Aurora began firing water pulses at the Tentecruel, but although it was getting badly injured, it ignored it, thrashing around the three captive Pokemon. Just when Taakuin thought they were beat, the Tentecruel was hit by a purple aura, sending it flying into it’s trainer and up to the surface. Taakuin had absolutely no idea what was going on. His Pokemon swam over to him, none of them had launched the attack. A purple aura appeared before them, in the form of a man. It began to speak. “Thank you….. Thank you for saving my daughter…..” Taakuin’s eyes widened, he realized it was the little girl’s father. “Thank you for saving her. She will never be forgotten. I know my wife died in the ship, and no doubt she is there right now, thanking you from far away. You will never be forgotten by myself, my wife, or my daughter. You did a great thing, and we will always be thankful…” The figure faded, a small glitter was coming from the water. Taakuin swam over, grabbing it. In his hand was a silver ring, with sapphires encrusted in it. Etched on the inside of the ring were the words, “Always and forever” Taakuin’s eyes watered again, but he quickly stopped, realizing his Pokemon were still there. He tucked the ring away in the safest place he could, and then continued their dive.

Taakuin still had no idea where the missing divers were, and he had a feeling he wouldn’t see them for a while. They continued going deeper, the pressure wasn’t that hard on Taakuin or any of his Pokemon, who were also looking for the missing divers. Taakuin entered a large room, it was lit by…. Coral? There was an abundance of glowing, colored coral on the walls, floor, and ceiling of the room. Taakuin took a piece of coral off the wall, it continued to glow in his hand, the colors changing. He tucked it away also, and then noticed something out of the corner of his eye. He saw a pair of people. His first thought was, ‘The missing divers?’ But of course, he was wrong. Another pair of Aquos members swam up, a large collection of the coral in a container. They sent out their Seedra, Seaking, Garyados, and Buizel.

This time Jaws sat out, Taakuin wasn’t about to let him bite up another Pokemon, even if it was team Aquos’. The Garyados stayed behind the peons, waiting while the others fought. Quackers fired a psybeam at the Seedra, who stopped it with a bubble beam. Ricky and Pogo then swam up to the Seedra, one on each side, they fired a hydro pump at it. The pressure was too much for it to handle, and the peon returned it. The Seaking swam at Aurora, who vanished into the water, yet again. This time though, instead of using water pulse, she used her own hydro pump. The Seaking was knocked back, again and again in many directions. Aurora was swiftly moving and attacking, not letting up on her barrage of attacks. The Seaking was beaten, returned, and this is when the Garyados came out to play… oh joy… -_-

Quackers, Ricky, Pogo, and Aurora, still hidden, all simultaneously attacked the large Garyados with psybeam, hydro pumps, and water pulses. The Garyados wasn’t expecting this, and being confused and in much, much pain, swam away. The two peons swam after it, leaving the small shiny Buizel behind. It looked at all of Taakuin’s Pokemon, slowly propelling itself to Taakuin, and sitting there. It’s eyes were big and sad looking, and Taakuin patted it on the head. It nudged at Taakuin’s pokeballs, and Taakuin was kinda surprised. The Buizel actually wanted him to snag it, apparently it didn’t like it’s trainer… go figure >.>;

Taakuin took out a net ball, poking the Buizel with it and holding it in his hand. One….two…three….click! Taakuin smiled, although it wasn’t really fair, he snagged the Builzel. The Pokeball was teleported back to his computer box, and he continued to search for the missing divers. The search was getting pointless, Taakuin had a feeling he would never find the divers. Although he hated quitting, he began to swim to the surface. Just as he was about to get to the top, something caught his eye. There was a hole in the rock above him, and a….light could be seen? He swam up to the hole, poking his head out of it. The cave was filled with coral just like the room he was in, and there were two figures inside. Taakuin saw diving gear, and guessed they were the two divers.

They turned to him, waving. “Why hello there! If you’re the search party, you just found the ‘missing’ divers!” one of them said. Taakuin stayed in the hole. “Um… shouldn’t you guys get back to your families now?” Taakuin asked, wondering why the divers hadn’t left. “We don’t have any family! We’re loners!” the other one said. “We don’t want to leave yet, but thanks for coming and looking for us!” Taakuin shook his head. Hey, if they wanted to stay there, he had no problem with it. He took a few pieces of the coral, tucking them in a bag and tightening the top. He dove back down and then back up to the surface. He then had his Pokemon carry him to the city, too tired to swim. When they arrived, Taakuin returned his Pokemon, and headed back for HQ on his hover board. Mission complete. :3

Hybrid Mission (for Taakuin only)

Mystery Stone

I have to admit this is unusual... never got a request for one to become a Vaporeon hybrid before, let alone find much to help. Given that they're more suited to an aquatic life compared to Eevee or any of its other forms, even getting something to help is easier said than done. But... if you really want to go through with this, I hope you'll be very prepared. And have a real knack for swimming, while you're at it.

Some time ago, there was an underwater cave near Sootopolis City. It was used by some team for their base until... events occured... and now it's deserted. Or, at least it was. Since then, I have come to understand that it has mostly flooded now. Air pockets are scarce there, and dry land even moreso. Water-types have declared this their home, but something exists there now that wasn't there before.

It looks similar to a Water Stone from its appearance, but has many differences. For one, it's much larger. Second, it supposedly has... something in it. Like some spirit or such. Whatever it is, it keeps them from venturing too far in there. I think that might just be the thing you're looking for, if not something to point you in the right direction. The only problem... is that it's deep in there. The pressure could mean your demise if you're not careful. Same goes for drowning in the place. Please, exercise extreme caution as you search the place.

Objective
- Find the unusual object

Opposition
- Given that this is home to a few Water-types now, it's very likely that they will attack whoever appears to threaten it. You'll have to fight at least 5 Water-types of any evo in this mission.

Obtainable Pokemon
- You may catch one of the Water-types, up to second evo. You may get an Egg otherwise.

Rewards
- The object and varies from there

Taakuin stood outside of the HQ, next to the falls. “Looks like this is it. I could die doing this…” He ignored the possibility of death, and preparing for the journey. He made sure he had his diving gear, all of his Pokemon able to help him, and plenty of supplies. Once he was as ready as he’d ever be, he hopped onto his hoverboard and began his journey to Sootopolis. He would have to stop there first, and take only the things he absolutely needed. “It’s easy to die but takes effort to live…” he said to himself as he neared the docks of a city. “I need to get to Sootopolis, can you take me?” He asked many people, but apparently there was a storm going on near that area, and everyone refused to take him.

“Great…. I’m never going to get there…” He said when he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. It was….. a dingy? There was a dingy, in perfect condition, sitting at the end of the dock, with nobody around. Taakuin walked down to it, noticing that there was no motor. “Of course I have to row it myself…. -_-;” He sighed, hopping into the small boat. It rocked a bit, but was quickly balanced. Taakuin knew how to work a dingy, it was fairly easy, but with the help of his Pokemon it would be much easier. He tossed out all of his Pokemon, Squirtle, Croconaw, Sharpedo, Peliper, Vaporeon, and Golduck. He’d need as much help as he could get.

“Alright guys, we need to get to Sootopolis safely, and according to about everyone on the dock, there’s a storm down in that area.” He said as they began their long journey. He wasn’t sure if his hoverboard could work over water, and wasn’t ready to take that chance. Their trip started fine, they were going at a steady pace, and everyone seemed to be able to keep moving. Sootopolis, or the large rocky walls around it, was in view. They were approaching from the south, and Taakuin guessed they would be there in an hour or so. This is when they got into the storm area.

It began raining heavily, the dingy was slowly filling up with water. Taakuin told his Pokemon to keep moving the boat while he and Jubs, his Peliper, began to empty the dingy of water. Jubs did a much better job than Taakuin, and they luckily kept the dingy from sinking. They had to keep emptying the water, but at the pace they were going at, it’d be fine. The waves began to grow larger, and thunder and lightning began. “This is gonna be one helluva boat ride… o.o” Taakuin muttered as they went over a very large wave.

The boat was sinking now, the water from the rain and waves was making it nearly impossible to keep it empty. Taakuin had to quickly get into his diving gear, having Jubs carry all of his air tanks but one. Taakuin then jumped in the water just as a large wave crushed the dingy. He and his Pokemon stayed under the water, although Jubs had to constantly go up for air. Taakuin blinked three times, his eyes lighting up and making the dark water easier to see in. He beckoned for the rest of his Pokemon to follow him to a small cave a little bit away.

When they reached the cave Taakuin poked his head out of the water, there was a spot of dry ground, enough for all his Pokemon. He had Ricky go out and tell Jubs to dive under and then come back up. In a few seconds Jubs popped out of the water, landing next to Taakuin on the ground. Taakuin was panting slightly, “This is—not good…. We need to get to that little cave an- oh hey… o.o” He said, looking around. He was in a small cave, mostly underwater, and he couldn’t see any other patches of ground. “Woah… this is it..” He sweatdropped, “Ehehe…. That wasn’t too hard, other than the storm and all.” He then turned to Ricky. “I need you to search up ahead for air pockets, Jubs has to carry the air tanks, and he’ll need to be able to get air every once in a while.

Ricky nodded, diving into the water and swimming up ahead. He came back in a few seconds, saying, “There’s a pretty big air pocket not too far ahead, but I also saw a Gorebyss… and Huntail…” Taakuin nodded. “Alright, Jubs, stay here until we come back to get you, it won’t be good if you come right away since you can’t really fight right now.” Taakuin then beckoned for Aurora, Quackers, and Jaws to follow him. They dove under the water, swimming under the cave until he spotted a long pink shape and long blue shape. ‘Right there…’ Taakuin said to himself, and pointed down at the Gorebyss and Huntail. Aurora faded into the water, and Jaws swam right at them. Quackers was behind Jaws, giving him long-distance help. Jaws bit the Huntail, who let out a loud cry. The Gorebyss was about to help when Quackers fired a psybeam at it.

The Gorebyss dodged the attack, the red light was too noticeable. The Huntail managed to struggle free, swimming next to the Gorebyss. Quackers fired another psybeam, this one hitting the Gorebyss who was paying attention to Jaws, who was circling the two Pokemon, eyes never left them. Aurora then began her attack, firing multiple water pulses at the Gorebyss. It began looking around, not seeing anything. Aurora continued her attacks, the Gorebyss getting more confused by the second. Quackers took advantage of the distraction, finishing the Gorebyss off with a psybeam, watching it sink down to the bottom of the cave. Taakuin noticed that the bottom was still in view, but as he looked further ahead, the ground slowly vanished.

The Huntail thrashed out at Jaws, who swerved out of the way and smacked into it, his skin rubbing the Pokemon and causing some scrapes. Taakuin saw a dark fluid coming out of the Huntail. Taakuin quickly returned Jaws, who had noticed that it was blood. ‘That was close…’ Taakuin said, putting the Pokeball away. Quackers swam at the Huntail, grabbing it and slamming it into the walls of the cave repetitively. Aurora came back into sight, firing a hydro pump at the Huntail, knocking it down to the floor of the cave and knocking it out. Taakuin gave a thumbs up, swimming back to Jubs and the others. He beckoned for them to follow, and they quickly swam to the next air pocket. Jubs came to the surface, getting a good breath of air. Taakuin had Pogo go check this time. He came back with a thumbs up, and they quickly dove under. This one was a bit further away, Taakuin had to take an air tank from Jubs and swap it with his now empty one.

The air pocket was small, and only Jubs could go up. Taakuin knew there wouldn’t be any more, and had to carry the air tanks himself and return Jubs. He continued swimming, his Pokemon still with him. A sudden attack impacted with Taakuin, knocking him into a wall. A Milotic swam up, it’s eyes were angry and it batted Taakuin with it’s tail. ‘Argh make it stop make it stop!!’ he said to himself, kicking off the wall into the Milotic. He knocked it back a ways, and his Pokemon then intervined. Ricky, Pogo, and Aurora blasted it with hydro pumps, the force hitting it into a wall and keeping it there.

It lashed out in anger, hitting Pogo back. He stayed next to Taakuin, along with Quackers, who was firing a psybeam at the Milotic. It hit, the Milotic knocked Ricky and Aurora out of the way. Quackers and Pogo fired a water gun at it, but it had no effect. Taakuin kicked off the wall downwards, the Milotic then ran into the wall, a rock fell, hitting it in the head. It began drifting down, but didn’t, it swam back up at Quackers, wrapping it’s tail around him and squeezing him. Quackers let out a psybeam, on accident, hitting the ceiling of the cave. A bunch of rocks came down, hitting Quackers and the Milotic, both of them knocked out. Taakuin returned Quackers, and waited for the rocks to pass before continuing.

There were absolutely no more air pockets, and the floor of the cave had vanished. The pressure was getting stronger, the cave was forcing them to go deeper. His Pokemon seemed fine, used to this most likely, but Taakuin wasn’t sure if he could do this. He had five air tanks left, he knew he’d be needing them. Just as they were about to make a large dive down, an Octillery came out of the hole they were going into. It fired multiple sludge bombs at Taakuin’s Pokemon. Pogo and Aurora got out of the way, and Ricky managed to hide in his shell, the sludge fading away. Aurora stayed back with Taakuin, only firing water guns at times when she was sure it’d hit.

The Octillery latched onto Ricky’s shell, who was still inside. He tried to shake him off but to no success. Pogo and Aurora were firing water guns at it, but it ignored them, used to pressure by now. Ricky was sick of this, and wanted the stupid octopus off his shell. He began spinning, rapid spin, and the Octillery began to loosen it’s grip on his shell. His suckers were just about off, when Aurora and Pogo fired a hydro pump at it, knocking it off and into a wall. It let out a large amount of ink, and couldn’t be seen fleeing the scene. Taakuin waited for the ink to go away, and then looked at his air-meter. His tank had a little more than half left in it, hopefully enough to get him to the bottom of this hole they were entering.

The hole was big enough for them to fit two by two, Taakuin and Aurora in front, Ricky and Pogo in back. The pressure was getting to Taakuin, he had a headache, which was getting worse and worse, and his breathing was getting heavier. His air tank was doing fine, but he wasn’t sure if he could make this. He was too far to go back, so if he died, he died, but he wouldn’t give up. They finally emerged from the hole, into a fair-sized ‘room’ in the cave. It was dark, but Taakuin could see something, red eyes. He figured it’d be another strong Pokemon, and of course, it was. A Swampert emerged from the darkness, angrily looking at Taakuin. Taakuin sent out Quackers, putting a revive in his mouth.

Quackers and Pogo went forward, both eager to fight. The Swampert swam swiftly at them, firing a hydro pump. Quackers and Pogo moved out of the way, the hydro pump hitting Taakuin into the wall. He heard something, and turned to see that his air tank was penetrated. He quickly struggled to get another one in, getting ready to hold his breath. He removed the broken air tank, tossing it at the Swampert, which did just about nothing, and quickly replacing it with a good tank, letting out a deep breath/sigh. The Swampert fired a ball of mud at Pogo, knocking him back a ways. Pogo was stunned a bit from the attack, fatigue setting in. Quackers fired a psybeam at the Swampert, hitting it while it was distracted with Pogo. The Swampert then turned to Quackers, batting him out of the way with a large fin.

Pogo swam at the Swampert, biting onto it hard, scratching it in the process. Quackers took advantage o the distraction, swimming behind the Swampert and firing a psybeam at it, right in the back. It let out a cry, then floated and landed on the ground. Pogo let go, firing a water gun to get the disgusting taste out of his mouth. :3

They continued swimming, Taakuin’s body was getting used to the pressure, which he thought was pretty unusual. They dove for about twenty minutes, passing many Corsla, Remoraid, a couple of Mantine, and a few sleeping Buizel and Floatzel. The group tried not to get into any battles, they were all tired and ready for this to be over. Taakuin looked at his four remaining air tanks, hoping he’d have enough to get back. A sudden glow caught Taakuin’s attention, there was a blue glow to the left, and Taakuin saw that there was an opening in the cave wall. Interested, he swam in.

Inside he found a very large cave, blue coral lined the entire inside, which was circular. The coral made the cave well lit, and Taakuin noticed something in the middle of the cave. In the center of the cave, floating, was something blue, and glowing. Taakuin slowly swam over, interested. When he got closer, he realized it was a stone, larger than a water stone, with something blue glowing in the middle of it. He swam over, slowly, looking at the stone. It was certainly the stone he was looking for. Just as he got closer, go figure, a large Garyados popped up in front of him. Taakuin nearly wet himself, the Garyados’ large purple eyes looking directly at Taakuin. The next part kinda freaked Taakuin out.

‘If you want this stone….. you must first prove yourself worthy of it…’ it said, but the words were echoed. Taakuin looked back at his Pokemon, who apparently hadn’t heard the voice. Taakuin turned back to the Garyados, who spoke again. ‘To obtain this stone, you must show me that you are pure of heart, pure of mind, and pure of spirit.’ Taakuin got a bad feeling in his stomach, he hadn’t been the best person lately. ‘To see that you are pure of heart, I am going to go through your memories, and see times when you have done something good for someone else….’ The Garyados closed it’s eyes, and Taakuin got a strange feeling in his head, a sort of achy tickly feeling. Taakuin was suddenly in water with the Garyados, complete black surrounding them. ‘I have found that you are pure of heart…’ it said as a blue aura glowed in between them.

A small girl stood there, Taakuin had no idea who it was at first. Two other figures appeared by the little girl, a man and a woman. Taakuin’s eyes widened, it was the little girl that he had saved from the shipwreck. The mother and father were thanking him, the little girl looked happy, not like Taakuin had seen her. The figures faded, and Taakuin found himself back in the cave, the blue glowing was present again. ‘I will now find out if you are pure of mind, by going through your subconscious…’ Taakuin prepared for the weird feeling again, but felt nothing. This time, he was quickly in the complete black again, the Garyados with him again. ‘Your mind is clouded by pain, suffering, and hate, but your mind is also filled with happiness, warmth, and love. You have mixed feelings, but the ones that are close to you know that you are a good person, your mind is clear.’

They were back in the cave yet again, the blue glow seemed even brighter. ‘The final test, to see if you are pure of spirit..’ The Garyados closed it’s eyes, Taakuin now had a grin on his face, his spirits were fine, he knew he would pass this test. They were again in the darkness, the Garyados spoke, ‘….You are strong willed, and you don’t believe in giving up. Your spirit is pure, and you have passed all of the tests.’ The blue glow was present again, and Taakuin found himself facing the Garyados. ‘You have passed all the tests. You are pure of heart, mind, and spirit, and are worthy of taking the stone.’ Taakuin looked at the stone, then the Garyados. ‘I suspected this… you’d like me to join you?...’ It said, looking at Taakuin. ‘I went through your mind, don’t act so surprised. I will join you on your journeys.’ Taakuin smiled, taking out a net ball and pressing it against the Garyados. It went into the Pokeball with no struggle. One…two…three…click! Instead of having the Garyados sent to the PC, Taakuin swapped it with Jaw’s Pokeball.

Taakuin then swam forward, slowly placing his hand around the stone. The stone shone bright, along with all of the coral. Taakuin shielded his eyes, holding onto the stone very tight. He replaced his air tank, and then sent out the Garyados. ‘You want some help out of the cave?’ it asked, although it already knew. Taakuin nodded, holding onto the Garyados’ tight with one hand, the stone with the other. They weaved through the cave, Taakuin’s Pokemon were returned before they got left behind. After a short period of time, they came out of the tunnel, the storm had subsided. Taakuin took off his diving gear, putting it into a pack he had left outside of the cave.

“Alright, according to my Pokepalm, the rest of the Team is headed for Goldenrod, let’s get going.” Taakuin said, tucking his PokePalm away. The Garyados nodded, going swiftly to the water to their destination. Lucky for them, Goldenrod wasn’t too far from the water. Taakuin looked at the stone in his hand, smiling. He had successfully gotten the stone and lived. :3

Medicine Run

OK, here’s the deal. Isen has been looking a little under-the-weather for a while now, and I know just the woman who carries the medicine to help him – the old fire Pokemon expert living in the outskirts of Lavaridge. I’d go and get it myself, except last time we met… I, er, kinda stole some jewelry from her. However, come pick the jewelry up from me before you leave – I’d like someone to return it to her. Seems like a pretty easy mission, but there is a bit of a catch – she doesn’t like to go into town much, so she might ask you to run a few errands. I’m sure they won’t be too bad.

Goal: Pick up some medicine for Isen, while doing some errands for the medicine master.

Opposition: Your choice. O:

Pokemon: If you face wild Pokemon, you are allowed to catch one. If you opt out of this, you may receive a Pokemon egg.

Rewards: Extremely story-heavy. This is an open-ended mission, so don’t do anything TOO crazy. I don’t think an old medicine maker will ask you to kill someone. =P
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Taakuin read the mission, sweatdropping. “Only Sunday….” He said, copying the mission to his PokePalm and walking out of the HQ. He stopped by Sunday’s room, picking up the jewelry, then walked outside, tossing out his hover board. He hopped on, heading for Lavaridge. He thought for a while. “….Isn’t Lavaridge where LS was born?.... weird… ._.” he said, doing a jump over a small hill on his board. He was getting better at doing tricks and maneuvers on the hover board, of course, when he got a Pokemon that could fly him places it’d be much easier. :3
Once he got to the outskirts of Lavaridge, he searched for the house. It took him forever just to find the dang thing, and when he finally did he had to climb –it’s horrible- A HILL… x3. Once he got to the top of the hill he knocked on the door, waiting for the woman to come to the door. He heard some footsteps, and the door was opened by…. A woman a bit shorter than Taakuin. She looked at him, huffing. “Who are you supposed to be?” she asked in a not-so-nice tone. Taakuin sweatdropped, “I’m here to uh- get the medicine for Isen…” he said, avoiding eye contact. She made him feel creped out. ._.
She beckoned him inside. “Yes, Isen. I have a bunch of medicine for him, I’ll just need you to run into town and get it for me.” she said, walking off into another room. “Just a minute!” Taakuin looked around uncomfortably. He spotted a box with a chain hanging out of it. He snuck over, opening it. It was a jewelry box. Taakuin quickly pulled the jewelry out of his pocket, putting it in the box and quickly shutting the lid. The woman was standing there, looking at him. “YOU WERE TRYING TO STEAL MY JEWELRY WEREN’T YOU?!” she yelled. Taakuin sweatdropped. “Nonononono! I was just returning it!” the woman glared at him. “Returning it after you STOLE it!!” Taakuin sighed. “No! I didn’t take your dumb jewelry! It was Sunday!—OOP!” he covered his mouth.
“Sunday? He stole it?!” She said, now directing her anger at a poor innocent plushie. “I’ll have to teach him a little lesson. >(……..Now, about the medicine. Here’s a list of what I need, and here’s some money. Go buy it and be quick, about it.” Taakuin nodded, taking the list and money, then hightailing it out the door. He ran down the hill, or was, when he tripped and began rolling. “Ack! Ooof! Ug!” *thump* He finally hit the bottom of the hill, thoroughly dizzy and battered. “Eh….@-@...” He stood up, dusting himself off. He then began walking to Lavaridge.
“Alright… first thing on the list…” he read the list in his head, then out loud. “Eh… aspirin…cough syrup…laxatives…sleeping pills...tampo- OH s**t!!!” he said. He looked at the top of the list, it read. ‘Medecine and My Things.’ Taakuin gagged. “I guess I should just get all of it… this is gonna be hella awkward ._.” he walked to the first store, medicine. He walked inside, looking around. There were shelves lined with medicine, and medicine behind the counter. Taakuin walked to the ‘A’ section, and looked for aspirin. He found ‘Aspirin-Daytime’ and ‘Aspirin-Nighttime’…. He looked down the shelves. There was ‘Aspirin Afternoon’, ‘Aspirin Evening’, ‘Aspirin Morning’, and tons of others. “You’re kidding me… ._.” He grabbed one of each box, dumping them in the shopping basket.
He then got cough syrup, again, there were multiple kinds. “ARGH!!” he grabbed one of each bottle, placing them in the basket. The man behind the counter was giving him a weird look. Taakuin turned away, grabbing about five boxes of different laxatives, ten different boxes of sleeping pills, and then walked to the counter. “You’re buying all that? >.>” the man asked. Taakuin nodded, “Doing errands for a medicine lady… -_-;” The man rang up the total. Taakuin looked at the number, jaw dropping. “That’s all the money she gave me!” he handed it over, grabbed the rather heavy bag of medicines, and walked outside. Now how was he going to get the tampons?!
He cursed, hiding the medicine in a bush and walking to the store. He entered, strolling to the ‘Women’s needs’ section. He looks through the shelves, the awkward feeling of people watching him was obvious. He quickly ran to the bathroom, into a stall. He pulled something out of his backpack, something yellow, and a bottle. Oh dear lord…he wasn’t thinking of…yup… he was… >3
Taakuin walked out of the bathroom, wearing a neon yellow dress. He smelled like perfume, and he had a blonde wig on. He smiled at a few people, trying to look as feminine as possible. He walked back to the section, grabbing two boxes of tampons. He looked around, it seemed like nobody saw him pick them up. He tucked them into his dress, right at the….breast spot….>.>;
He whistled, walking to the entrance, the boxes of tampons making his ‘breasts’ look very rectangular. Just as he was about to leave, a store worker walked up, blocking his way. “Is there a problem sir?” Taakuin asked, attempting a high pitched voice. The worker grimaced at him. “Mam, I believe you are trying to shoplift.” He said, pointing at Taakuin’s ‘breasts’. Taakuin covered himself, slapping the man. “You don’t look at a woman like that you dirty rat! You should be ashamed!” the man rubbed his cheek, he wasn’t too happy now. “Mam I need those boxes back, you didn’t pay for them!” This is the part where Taakuin would never show his face in this town again. >.>;
Taakuin reached into one of the boxes, pulling out an open tampon. He looked at the man, grinning. “You want this tampon back? Then take it! >3” Taakuin said, spinning the tampon around on his finger and then flinging it into the man’s eye. The man yelled out in pain. “ARRGGHH!!! TAMPON TO THE EYE!!!” Taakuin kicked the man in the…. Well.. you know… alright he kicked him in the freaking testicles! The man fell to the ground, writhing in pain. Taakuin grinned, lifting the dress and running out of the store.
He picked up the bag of medicine and ran to the woman’s house. Running in a dress was freaking impossible… ._. When Taakuin got to the house, he walked inside, setting the bag down. “Here….I got the medicine for you…” he said, panting. The woman looked at him, and what he was wearing. “…Why the hell are you wearing a dress?” Taakuin sweatdropped, looking at himself in the mirror. “I uh…. Had to get something… and uh… you know what, just forget this happened. >.>” Taakuin then picked up the medicine. “Can I take this to Isen yet?” The woman looked at him. “Why goodness no! I still need you to get a few more things for me!”
Taakuin’s face went blank. “You mean go back to the town…and go get more stuff?!” The woman nodded. I need you to get some food from the store, and then bring it back to me. Taakuin sighed. “Fine fine, but this is the last thing right?” The woman nodded. Taakuin then switched back to his regular clothes, and walked back to the town. He tried avoiding people this time.
Taakuin walked into the store he just shoplifted from, making sure to keep away from people. There were plenty of officers around, watching everyone in the store. Taakuin went through the list of food. “Guacamole flavored chips? Blech… Guacamole…. Lucky charms >.>…… salsa…..chocolate….. and prune juice…” He went to the chips section, dropped a bag of disgusting Guacamole chips into the cart, and went to the dip aisle. He found the guacamole, set it in the cart, and decided to go with the mild salsa. He then got the chocolate, 5 bars of it. 1 for her, four for him :3.
He stopped at the beverage aisle last. He grabbed a jug of prune juice, and put it in the cart. He then wheeled the cart to the front of the store. The checkout lady ran everything through the scanner, but the prune juice seemed to be messed up. “Price check on prune juice at checkout register five, price check on prune juice at checkout register five. Could I get a price check on prune juice at checkout register five please.” It took like, 10 minutes before someone got there and gave her the price. She rang it up and Taakuin handed her the money. He then grabbed the bags and walked outside.
Just as he was about to be off the hook and able to get the stupid medicine, something decided to catch the bag on fire. Taakuin quickly dropped the bag, dumping everything out of it. He put out the fire by stamping on it, and was about to pick everything up when a Vulpix ran up to him, and grabbed a bar of chocolate. “HAY YOU THAT’S MINE!!! >O” Taakuin chased after it until he cornered it in the woods. “Oh you are so busted! Gimme mah chocolate! >O” He jumped at the small fox Pokemon, who jumped to the side, causing Taakuin to fly into a tree trunk.
“Ow…. x-x….” he sat up, rubbing his face and pulling a splinter out. “You little turd!” he said, growling. He was mad now. This time he decided to out-smart the Vulpix. He took out a Pokeball, covered it in dirt until it looked like an orange flavored chocolate, and set it down. The Vulpix looked at it, tilting it’s head. “Vul...?” it sniffed the ‘chocolate’ a bit, and went to take a bite out of it. It’s tooth hit the button, the dirt fell off and the Vulpix was sucked inside. One….two….three…click! Taakuin grinned. “Hah! I got my cho- NOOOOO!!! crying ” he cried. The chocolate bar was already eaten. He kicked the wrapper and picked up the Pokeball, sighing. “Whatever…”
He walked out of the woods, and picked up the groceries. He carried them up the hill, and knocked on the door. The woman opened the door, smiling. “Why thank you! You can take the medicine to Isen now.” she said, handing the bag to Taakuin. He sighed. “Alright, well thanks for the medicine….” He turned and walked down the hill, and tossed out his hover board. He hopped on, making sure he had a good grip on the bag, and sped off to return to HQ. “That was so…..embarrassing… -_-
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Taakuin stood up, reading the new mission. He stretched, ran to his room and grabbed his Pokemon. He then ran outside, tossed out his hover board, and sped off for Littleroot. Another day, another mission, but this one had Mudkips! Teh kips of mud! He was really excited for this mission, and yes, Taakuin leiks Mudkips. In the mean time, he was trying to think of a name for the one he was fur shur gonna get. “Teh Mudkip shall be mine! >)”
It wasn’t long before he found his way to Birch’s lab. He’d been here before when he saved Birch from the pack of Poochyena, which was also where he got Dakota. He walked inside the lab, looking behind him as he did, to see if the trainer was out there. He couldn’t see anything, but a small boy walked past him, holding a Pokeball. “Oh boy oh boy I got my Mudkip! ^^” he said cheerily as he went outside. Taakuin knew that joy wouldn’t last.
He walked up to Birch, waving. “Hey there Birch. How’ve you been doing since the Poochyena incident?” Taakuin asked, slightly grinning. “I’ve been fine. Got stuck in the tree again, but I managed to get away.” Birch replied. “Anyways, any reason you’re here?” he asked. Taakuin nodded. “Apparently someone’s been battling your trainers, and taking their Mudkips. I’m here to stop them and get the Mudkips back. Think I can borrow one of yours?” he asked.
Birch looked shocked. “They’re stealing the Mudkips?! Yes yes you can borrow one no problem!” he said, grabbing a Pokeball and handing it to Taakuin. Taakuin smiled. “Thanks. I’ll have those Pokemon back in notime.” He then walked outside, tossing the Pokeball up and down, whistling. As he made his way down the path, a girl came out of the bushes. “Hey you! I herd you haes teh kips of mud. @_=” she said, looking a bit like she was on some kind of drug.
“Eh… I have a Mudkip yeah.” Taakuin said, slightly scared of the creepy trainer. “I WUNT EET!!” she said, tossing out two Mudkips. “….so I herd you leik mudkips..” Taakuin said, tossing out two of his own Pokeballs. He sent out the Mudkip he had just borrowed, and his Raichu, Zeus. Taakuin grinned. “Mudkip use tackle! Zeus jump on top of the other one!” Mudkip ran at the other Mudkip, tackling it to the ground and pinning it down. Zeus did the same, but rode around on the Mudkip like a Ponyta.
“Mudkips’ use water gun!” the Mudkip addict said. The two Mudkips fired a blast of water at Taakuin’s Mudkip, knocking him off the other one. “Zeus use thunderbolt!” Taakuin said. The Raichu let out a bolt of lightning, leaving the Mudkip pretty much fried, no movement except for a twitching paw. “Mudkip return!” Taakuin let out his Pikachu, Sparky. He whispered something in his ear. Sparky nodded, running off into the bushes. The girl didn’t notice, and sent out a Marshtomp. “Water gun and mud-slap!” she called.
The Mudkip let out another water gun, aimed at Taakuin’s Mudkip. The Marshtomp launched a mud-slap at Zeus. Taakuin’s Mudkip was knocked down, dazed and pretty much beaten. Zeus was knocked back, now covered in mud. “Zeus return!” Taakuin said, recalling the Raichu back to his Pokeball. Just as he was about to return the Mudkip, the freaky Mudkip girl grabbed him, and ran off into the bushes. “Figured as much..” Taakuin said. He held a hand to his ear. “Sparky she’s headed your way.”
The girl ran through the bushes and trees, holding Taakuin’s Mudkip firmly while looking for an escape. Little did she know that Sparky was hot on her trail, keeping a fair distance away so he wouldn’t be spotted. “Teh mudkips are mihne!! @_=” she said to herself as she came to a dead end. It was a rocky wall, leaving no way out. “adohbf;adjfas nyuwhatthehellisthisshit!!1one!1!!!1” she turned, seeing Sparky run up. “NYUGETOUTITSMYMUDKIP!!! >8O” she yelled, backing up to the wall. Taakuin walked out of the bushes, returning Sparky. “Looks like you’ve got nowhere to go. Just hand over the stolen Mudkips and there’ll be no tr- no -more- trouble.” He said.
She looked at him, wide eyed. “YOU’D LIKE TO THINK I’M CORNERED WOULDN’T YOU?!” she said loudly. She bashed her head against a rock, rubbing it afterwards. Taakuin made a mental note not to do that. Suddenly, the rocky wall opened up partway, revealing what looked to be the entrance to a secret base. The girl ran inside, still holding Taakuin’s borrowed Mudkip. Taakuin followed, slipping through the rocks as the entrance closed. Taakuin looked around, not being able to see much. He blinked three times fast, his eyes glowing blue. He saw something out of the corner of his eye, and looked over…
“OH. MY. GOD.” He said, looking at cage upon cage of Mudkips. The girl was sitting in the middle of the room, looking at Taakuin, or his eyes, since she probably couldn’t see anything. “These are my precious!” she said, petting the recently stolen Mudkip on the head. “Not yours anymore.” Taakuin said, tossing out two Pokeballs. He had let out Sparky and Pogo, Pikachu and Croconaw. The girl sent out two Mudkips. “Pogo soak the left one with water gun! Sparky right after use a thunderbolt!” Taakuin said. Pogo shot a stream of water out of his mouth, drenching the left Mudkip with water. Sparky then let out a lightning attack, sending it through the stream of water and zapping the crap out of the poor little Mudkip. It fell over on the ground. The girl returned it, sending out a Marshtomp.
“WHEN WILL IT STOP?! D:” Taakuin whined, although he could never hate Mudkips. “Use tackle and Mud-slap!” the gril said. Taakuin then realized something, the lights were still off. He didn’t bother wondering about how his Pokemon hit their target, but noticed that her Pokemon both missed. The Mudkip flew into his shin, while the Mud-slap gooped him all up. “NASTY!! >O” He picked up the Mudkip, throwing it back at the trainer. “Oof! x-x” was heard, followed by the light of the Mudkip being returned. Taakuin had apparently threw it a bit too hard. Whoops.
The girl then sent out another Marshtomp. YES ANOTHER. Taakuin siged. The Mud-slaps kept missing, and he hadn’t even ordered his Pokemon to do anything. “Alright, how about… got it! Pogo get over here!” Taakuin said. The Croconaw ran over to Taakuin, standing next to his leg. “Alright, Sparky do volt tackle in a circle around the two Marshtomp!” The Pikachu began to run around in circles, and a sudden flash of lightning engulfed him, illuminating the entire base. “Now use thunderbolt!” The Marshtomp’ looked around, now surrounded by a ring of lightning. There was no escape. “What are you doing?!” the girl said, although it was pretty obvious. Sparky began to slowly decrease the size of the circle, and before long, the Marshtomp were surrounded with no room to move.
“Alright, Sparky you’re good!” Taakuin said, recalling him. “Pogo now soak the two Marshtomp with a water gun!” Pogo nodded, letting out a stream of water at the trapped Pokemon. The ring of lightning reacted. It closed in on them, attracted to the water and shocking them horribly. Some of the attack came back and hit Pogo, but he shook it off. “NYU MY LOVELIES!!” the girl said, returning the Marshtomp’. She looked at Taakuin, now thoroughly scaring him. She had a look on her face that could kill infants. Taakuin nearly wet himself. “YOU’RE RUINING IT!!!” she said, throwing out another Pokeball. Taakuin knew what it would be, and he was right. A large Swampert stood in front of Taakuin. The last time Taakuin saw one of these was when he was on his Hybrid Mission.
“Alright, time for plan B. Or whatever plan we’re on. ._.” Taakuin said. He looked at all the cages, filled with Mudkips. “Pogo, go tell them this….” Taakuin whispered to his Croconaw. Pogo grinned, running over to the Mudkips and saying something to them. “You really think this’ll work out for you? I mean, I can always put a tracker on you.” Taakuin said, completely bluffing. All he was really trying to do was stall. “Yeah right. Anyways, you’re dead meat!” the girl said, the Marshtomp getting closer. “Fine then!” Taakuin said as Pogo ran back over. Taakuin snapped his fingers. A sudden rush of water could be heard, and the base began to fill with water.
“WHAT?! What is this trickery?!” she said, trying to climb the cages but getting knocked down by the Mudkip’s water guns. Taakuin smiled. He had nothing to worry about since he was a hybrid, but her on the other hand… who knows. The base was about to the top with water, Taakuin was floating with Pogo, and the Swampert apparently had no idea what to do. Taakuin watched the girl, who was panicking, and ran out of air. The Swampert grabbed her, and Taakuin opened to door. The base emptied and Taakuin walked over to the control’s to the cages. The whole thing was fried, and Taakuin realized that the Mudkips were running out of the base, most likely back to Birch’s lab. Taakuin turned to see Pogo glowing. A bright flash of light, like usual, and Pogo had evolved into a Feraligatr.
“Nice job by the way Pogo.” Taakuin commented, returning the Mudkip. Pogo smiled, walking outside with Taakuin to see that the girl and her Swampert had vanished. “Great… well at least we got all the stolen ones..” Taakuin said, returning Pogo and making his way back to Birch’s lab. When he got there, he found all the Mudkips inside, waiting for their trainers to come back for them. Birch was on the phone, calling everyone to tell them that they could come get their Mudkips back. He then turned to Taakuin. “I see that you got all of them free.” Birch said, smiling. Taakuin nodded. “Yeah, but the girl got away… anyways, here’s your Mudkip back, thanks for letting me borrow him.”
Birch smiled. “You keep it. After all of that it’s bound to want to stay with you. Just make sure he’s happy.” Taakuin smiled. “Sure thing! And thanks! ^^” he said, running outside and hopping on his hover board. He was soon on his way back to HQ. Little did he know that the eyes of the crazed Mudkip girl were watching his every move.
