Diary of the Broken Hearted/Thinking of You

"I love you."
It sounded so simple,
Yet so hard to say
Especially to you.

Silly wishes of
You returned affection,
But I knew you thought
Of me as a "little girl".

Reality crashed down upon me
Forbidden from you,
Pain seething through my veins,
Away from you is pure torture.

Now, alone and cold,
I cannot cry for you and me.
I know now it wasn't meant to be.
Recovery from you is impossible.

Now you're gone from me
And I've finally
Gathered the courage
To say it.
