Yeah, most of the final fantasy characters are copies or repeats. Cid also is Celes's father figure, so to say, sadly he dies further in the game. I'm talking about ff6. I think there's a Cid in most of the Final Fantasies, I don't remember.

I have ff 12 colectors eddition for ps2 and in it comes a dvd, one of the things on the dvd shows you the evolution of the ff series, and it shows every cid in every ff game, another popular name in the ff series is biggs or wedge, sometimes bigg's and wedge's are spelt backwords.
