He was beginning to feel warm and it wasn’t just the room or the addition of the jacket now hanging over his shoulder. Édouard was also feeling a bit more energetic, too. He was starting to think that maybe it was actually drugs he’d ingested. Not just him, though. She had taken it too and he’d noticed she seemed different. Her dancing had slowed down and much more sensual. Her hands gently glided over form as she moved seeming lost in the music. And now that he thought about it, it did seem different to him. More agreeable perhaps, even though it still wasn’t his thing. His attention to the people around them grew less focused as he fixed more on her and what she was doing.

Soon her hands disappeared under the wig. He knew what she was about to do before she actually did it. It wasn’t but a moment before the wig had come flying off her head and just like that, her natural hair was free. Whatever concerns that she had that drove her to wear the wig in the first place seemed to no longer be such a concern. She stepped toward him, the drug’s effects clearly written across her face. She smiled as she draped her arms around him and told him to feel her hair. Before he could do anything, she’d pushed her head into his face. Normally, this would be something he’d tolerate from an Aella under the influence but not without some internal annoyance. Yet, whether it was the drugs or just the upbeat party mood of their surroundings, he didn’t seem to mind.

In fact, as her hair brushed against his cheek, he couldn’t help but notice that it was very soft. He moved his free hand up gently ran it through her hair. The sensation was far more intense that it ought to have been but wasn’t in anyway unpleasant. As his fingers broke free from the strands of raven hued hair, there remained a tingling sensation like an after image of the contact. That was curious. But that wasn’t the only thing he noticed. His heart beat had quickened. Again, this was not something that normally would have happened if Aella was attached to him under normal circumstances but he supposed this was why people took the drug to begin with. To alter perceptions and sensations—and to its credit he was starting to feel more upbeat, more happy.
It was clear the effects weren’t hitting him as quickly or nearly as heavily as they were to Aella but they were still hitting him none-the-less. Breathing in, he could smell her perfume and even the fragrance of shampoo still lingering in her hair. And even more than that, he could catch a faint trace of her own natural scent mixed in like a foundation upon the other smells he was now picking up. His awareness was growing a bit keener but not as it normally would when he was looking for potential troublemakers from some dark corner. It was less refined than that but he didn’t mind.

He let his gaze quickly dart between a few dancing figures he knew had been eyeing the pair up. He caught glances their way (which had grown more frequent the more she danced) but no one seemed to want to let their eyes loiter on them too long now that they were so close. Yet, he saw it when one of them would look over, eyeing up her tight fitting pants then move up and down her legs before traveling up her back and inevitably to him. He saw their jealously. He wasn’t high enough yet to admit it, but he enjoyed seeing them like that. He liked that they looked at Aella hoping to see that they’d parted so that they might be able to quickly move in before anyone else only to find that the two of them were closer then than their last glance. He couldn’t help but let a smile creep across his face. “Yes,” he raised his voice so as not to be completely drowned out by the music. “It feels like a little slice of heaven.” Even now his words didn’t always carry the exact meaning they appeared to at face value. He wouldn’t deny that her hair was incredibly soft and smooth. Or any part of her for that matter. But it was a slight embellishment—a trace of his normal more sarcastic demeanor still sifting through the effects of the ecstasy.

Of course, those effects were getting harder and harder to ignore. The warmth that was creeping over him was growing in intensity, helped along by the heat of Aella’s own body. Where normally her being so close and clingy would be more on the burdensome side, in the here and now he was beginning to like it and not just because it made those around them jealous. He was more aware than usual of who and what they were. It wasn’t that he wasn’t aware of it normally, but his more clinical way of looking at things meant he didn’t let his emotions or even his hormones get the better of him (most of the time anyway). But that clinical view was beating a very hasty retreat. Édouard was almost enjoying himself and the situation like a normal high schooler would.

  • I'm the violence in the pouring rain.

Despite her sour and fiery nature, Aella had a sweet scent. She didn't use any perfumes (mostly because she couldn't afford them), but she did use a sugar scrub on her body to exfoliate and moisturize her skin. The scented oil from the body scrub soaked into the skin itself rather than sitting on top of it like a perfume and the result was a gentle, long lasting scent. Ed would find the sweetness mixed well with her natural smell and though it wasn't something that his nose would block out after a while, it also wasn't something that would over power his heightened perception either. As long as she stayed close to him like this, he was doomed to be bothered by her delicate sweetness.

Any reservations she might have had about getting close with Ed had melted away, leaving her comfortable and happy in his presence. Before long, Aella was filled with an overwhelming rush that overloaded all her senses and a smile of pure, unadulterated joy spread across her face. Ed said it quite nicely. Heaven. She melted into the music- and as a result, against Ed. He’d feel her soft curves press up against him as her body came flush, giving way to the firmness of his physique in order to match his form.

A few thousand had crowded into the underground hanger, mashed together in a writhing pile of neon clothing and bare skin, but Aella currently felt like she and Ed were the only two people in the entire place. Fog machines went off every few minutes, clouding the place with a seedy vibe that spoke of sex, violence, and mystery, but to Aella is was a dreamy haze that left her surroundings an ethereal- not quite real feeling. And yet, everything was so real, too real. Like Ed. She was close enough to his face to be able to study his features up close- something she did without reservation because she wasn’t worried about what he was going to think of her for doing so. Dark lashes flickered softly as her crystalline orbs studied his face, tracing his brow line, the angle of his nose, the shape of his lips and chin, then drifting back up to his eyes which were still shrouded behind the dark plastic. Aella tried to see through them but the lenses simply flashed back at her- reflecting the lasers that flashed across the ceiling and bathed the room in the purple glow. That in itself was kind of fascinating. For several moments, Aella was content to just stand there with Ed and watch the colors play across the lenses of his sunglasses.

Eventually, her body attempted to return to the music, however his little bob motion and her style weren’t the most compatible. Aella leaned forward then to speak to him, the smooth skin of her cheek brushing against his angled jawline as her lips drifted close to his ear. “Try moving like this.” She said without needing to yell to be heard. Lingering so close to him allowed Ed’s scent consumed her, driving out the smell of the other bodies in the room with a warm, dry scent that was both rich and elegant. It reminded her of the deep woods where moss covered the ground and trees grew so close together that their branches were forever entangled.

“You smell nice.” She told him. The moisture in her breath clung to the spot right behind his ear where her hot breath had crashed against the tender flesh. Even when she pulled back, the invisible droplets remained and drew in air to them, cooling the spot like an echo of her momentary trespass. That wasn’t the kind of compliment she would give to someone like Ed, whom she had a slight antagonistic relationship with. However the drug had made her forget any ill feelings or wariness she harbored for him. Not to say she didn’t remember them, Aella was easily able to recall her memories and acknowledge that she hadn’t liked him at certain times but at the moment those feelings were completely detached and foreign to her.

Being in heels she was taller than him, so naturally that meant she was the man in this particular moment. She was also the more experienced of the two so she took it upon herself to teach him what to do with his body, because she really wanted him to have as good of a time as she was having. Pulling her hands back from where they hung lazily over his shoulders, she allowed her arms to slide against him as her elbows dipped down between their bodies. Both palms lingered on his shoulders for a moment before continuing their trek downward. The feel of his body was entirely fascinating. She could feel the fabric of his shift crinkling under the combined motion and pressure of her palms as they explored, moving down from his pectorals to the sides of his ribcage. Both of her thumbs idly spread inward as she continued to touch him, tracing the outer line of his abdomen through his clothing until her hands finally came to rest on his obliques.

Ed would feel Aella’s grip slowly tighten as she attempted to take control, ideally pulling them tightly against her own in order to lead. First she started with a figure eight since that was generally the easiest motion to learn when you didn’t know how to move your body but since she was facing him, Ed would feel far more than she realized. Having chosen to wear slacks, the fabric was on the thinner side which meant things like the thick jean flap covering the front of her zipper could easily be noticed brushing against him, slowly dragging across the front of his pants every time they changed direction.

They stayed close for quite a while Édouard and then she leaned in a whispered a suggestion of moving his body to match hers. She loitered there and he was trying to ignore the sensation of her breath on his skin or the fact that she was close enough that he could feel the heat radiating off of her. But the drugs were starting to win over his normally well disciplined mind. Her comment about how he smelled caused him to involuntarily raise an eyebrow. It was a bit out of character for her…at least dealing with him. Before he knew it, her hands had begun to move. They began at his shoulders and had moved across his chest down to his ribs. This wasn’t the first time her hands had done some exploring of his physique. Of course this time she wasn’t doing it in a vain attempt to find her school ID. He wasn’t going to deny that it felt good. The warmth and the pressure of her hands as they’d moved across his shirt was something he’d not felt in a good while but in some odd ‘mysteries of the universe’ kind of way, he wasn’t surprised he had found himself once again in close contact with Aella once more. Her hands squeezed a bit harder and it was clear she was going attempt to start leading him into some dance moves. She moved him closer until there wasn’t any room between them.

She began to head him in some basic dance move. He thought it was probably something he could have figured out on his own but their close proximity made it difficult to concentrate on that. It didn’t take but a couple moves to realize that she was brushing up against him and a very compromising way and in a very compromising location. He cleared his throat and tried not to dwell on it. He could feel his heart rate go up a few ticks and began to wonder if the drugs were a bad idea. It was doing wonders to wear down his will. While it wouldn’t super obvious to anyone else and he was doing his best to hide the awkwardness on his face, an observant Aella might notice. Each time her hips slowly drug across his he had tried something new to think about. Stubbing his toe on a table leg, that time he fell off that horse into the freezing river. These were just temporary measures and finally he decided to force some separation between them to give him a break. He moved his arms up and rested his hands on her upper arms. He hands immediately registered just how soft her skin was. Again, it wasn’t as if he’d never touched her before. But the ecstasy was making it a new experience. He could almost feel every little variation and imperfection in her skin, he could feel the tiny impulses of her muscles as she was still trying to lead him through the dance. This new wave of sensations caused him to break his attempt to keep a straight face. Finally, with a small smile he spoke up. “Perhaps we should get a little bit of space, eh?”

  • I'm the violence in the pouring rain.

An observant Aella would notice his discomfort, but Aella wasn’t in a hyper alert observant mode. In some ways her senses were heightened- like her sense of touch and her sense of smell, but in other ways they were dulled. She did not pick up on the non-verbal cues of his facial features, especially because the most important ones were well hidden behind a dark shield that blocked her out. All she could really pick up on (if she tried) were the minute movements of his lips changing pressure and the flexing of his jawline as he struggled against the drug, but she wasn’t trying. Her normal, hyper calculating nature had fled with the rest of her caution, so she was simply watching him without drawing conclusions.

When his palms came to rest on her upper arms, a soft inhale whisked through her teeth. The heat from his skin touched upon hers in a small explosion of sensation that caused her thick lashes to flicker and her vision to unfocus momentarily. That had been the first time he voluntarily touched her. It was so much different than when she touched him or when she touched herself and she wanted to experience more of it. Honestly she could probably be content with just standing there letting him pet her for the next few hours if it was going to feel like that the whole time, but he didn’t seem to be on the same page. Sculpted brows pinched together, not quite understanding what he meant when he said they should have more space between them and her head tilted down just a bit to look him square on so she could try and discern what he meant.

“Why?” The pressure on his hips eased up and her own body stilled but she didn’t let go of him completely. Instead her hands hovered just around him, fingertips still in contact with his body as she idly drew swirling shapes through his clothing. “You don’t like it?”

Édouard gave a small chuckle at her question. “Quite the opposite, actually.” He said trying not to sound like too much of a wet blanket. It was getting harder to measure his responses as the effects of the drugs were firmly underway. Each revolution of her fingers over the smooth fabric of his clothing felt as if thousands of tiny people were dancing over him and at the same time like each finger weighed a thousand pounds. It was all rather fascinating and perhaps a few minutes ago he’d have pondered on the effects a bit more logically. Right now, the feelings and sensations of the moment were far more demanding than anything analytical or logical.

His hands were another matter. Resting against soft skin of Aella’s arms, it was if every nerve ending had become some kind of hyper-sensitive receiver. He couldn’t piece together exactly what the feeling was like but it was as if he could feel her very essence radiating off her skin and into his own. His own thoughts trailed off into a haze and he didn’t really say anything after his reply. His face morphed into a curious expression he’d not worn before (at least not in Aella’s presence). He felt surprisingly light. Physically but more so mentally and emotionally—he was a young man weighed down by a lot of baggage--baggage that at this exact moment no longer mattered. It’d be waiting for him when he finally came down after all. The pressure of his left hand eased some as he gently let it slide a bit further down her arm, stopping just above her elbow. He began consider what the limits of this stuff he’d taken were.

The rushing wave of impulses that shot into his hand as it moved was fascinating. What did it feel like to her? He looked at her and while the darkness and flashing lights made it hard to see any details, he thought she looked a bit glassy eyed. She’d probably be no better prepared to tell him what she was feeling than he was telling her. He titled his head a bit and moved his right hand up to the side of her face. He moved in closer feeling her heat radiating from her much further out than he expected. He hesitated a moment and then very gingerly the tips of his fingers made contact. He pushed up into the hair that was hanging off the side of her face, moved out of place by her dancing a few moments earlier. Almost excruciatingly slowly he began to brush the hair up and over her ear.

His lips parted slightly at the experience. He’d brushed hair over a girl’s ear before but it wasn’t like he’d connected his fingers to an electrified grid that was connected to a never ending bolt of lightning. This was truly something different and what’s more it made him happy. Or rather how the ecstasy made him perceive it made him happy. But there were other sensations and reactions beginning to build in him now. Aella’s experience was really in a way limited to herself…something he had not counted on was that his was not. Call it what you will: the gift, the miracle, the curse, whatever it was that had let him bridge the gulf between the real world and that place beyond the time or over that rainbow or whatever was part of his mind and now his mind was under the influence of a chemical substance.

He began to notice it first with the music. Each beat began to feel like being hit by a large wave. On each of these waves like countless tiny shards of glass were emotions and feelings. Each and every thump of the bass --each wave crashing into him hit him with these shards of feeling as well, piercing through him with a tiny explosion of indescribable feeling. As the drug whittled more and more of his resistance away this disjointed empathic bombardment got more consistent. He let his icy blue eyes scan the people around them a second before returning his gaze to her. His hand moved once more, his finger tips tracing the edge of her ear down her jaw line before slowly tracing it down to her chin where his hand came to rest, his fingers curling under jaw while his thumb gently sat over the center of her chin, the tip resting just under her bottom lip. “This is quite a drug.” He said with a smirk.

  • I'm the violence in the pouring rain.

Light danced around them wildly, shifting from reds to purples to blues to greens and going through all the colors of the rainbow before starting over again. A strobe light flashed in the distance, chopping up the movement of the crowd like a stop motion camera. This was the perfect setting in which Aella could get lost. Sometimes it was nice to get lost. Being in a place where no one knew your name or had expectations of you was extremely liberating. You could do practically anything and be whomever you wanted, which was exactly what she needed after such a rough week.

Things started off with a portion of the Sakura students moving schools due to a disaster in the dormitories- one Aella apparently barely survived. Several people had told her Ed was the one who had rescued her from the building but she had yet to acknowledge his efforts. Doing so would make Aella feel like she owed him something in return so she’d been set on pretendinmg like she was none the wiser and that it hadn’t happened. Ed didn’t seem inclined to bring it up either so Aella had swept the incident under the rug and left it to be forgotten. None of these worries seemed to matter anymore though. The drug had softened the edges of reality and allowed her concerns to drift off into space.

“I don’t understand.” Aella explained, but she couldn’t help but smile up at him. He was laughing, which meant he felt good and Aella felt good that she was making him feel good. “But I like that you like it.” Without thinking, her own hips began shifting and rotating in a small, stationary figure eight. They were somewhat connected so she couldn’t make any motions that were too large or it would break the comfortable close proximity they shared but she couldn’t not move to the music either. It had gone too deep, dived right down into her soul and become a part of her. To Ed, he felt like he was being hit by waves crashing over his head but Aella had always felt connected to the rhythm and beat of sound. Intensifying that sensation made it almost seem like the music was coming from inside of her or if she was something created by it.

A dreamy smile painted itself on her petal soft lips and her eyes twinkled at him like colored stars in the night’s sky. Now the air itself felt electric. Aella could feel herself simply existing and even the smallest touch was felt tingling through her whole body. Like when his hands changed pressure on her arms. Such a minute shift would normally go unnoticed by the teen, but now it drew her gaze downward to study Ed’s hands on her body. Oh how she wanted to reach up and take his hands and turns them over and trace all the hills and valleys of his palms. But to do so would mean that she would need to let go of the fabric of his waist and forfeit the way his hands sent little tremors of sensation all the way up and down her arms.

His warmth radiated from his body and melted into her own, making her feel hot. The air around them was like a humid summer’s night, the moisture clinging to their flesh like a memory unwilling to shake away. Thick lashes acted as a veil that lifted slowly as she watched his hand lift away from her skin and float up to her face. Her breath caught at the sudden touch to her face, unprepared for how his fingertips felt on her silky smooth skin. Despite seeing his fingers approach, nothing could have prepared her for the moment their tips ghosted against the soft curve of her jawline. Small wisps of invisible peach fuzz shivered as his path disturbed them all the way to their roots. The way he followed the rhythm of her jawline up to where it connected to her ear sent shivers all the way to her toes. Single strands of hair straying from their bunch tickled her neck as the lock of hair was tucked away.

Aella was left trapped within herself, frozen in place by the overwhelming pleasure of touch. In her ears she heard the beating of winds, a rapid steady beat that she registered as her own pulse. It was so loud that it was drowning out the music. A dizzying sensation drifted through her, giving her a floating feeling that fled once his thumb came to rest under the supple curve of her glossy bottom lip. Something about the touch reminded her that she’d forgotten to breathe. Air sharply slithered over her tongue to fill her long forgotten lungs and spread new life into every part of her body. Aella’s fingers tightened into the fabric of his shirt, tugging gently at him.

“I’m surprised you’re so gentle.” For some reason she had thought he would be the type to get rough with a woman- all that darkness inside rearing its head in the midst of passion. With someone as uptight as Ed was, she wouldn’t be surprised if his stress and anger came out in the bedchamber- hell, she actually expected that to be his thing so it took her completely off guard when he touched her so delicately. He must think she was made of porcelain or something with how gingerly his fingers brushed over her skin.

“Are you scared I’ll break?” Aella asked, though the usual sarcasm in her voice was absent. She was honestly curious, not quite smiling now but still exuding a pleasant and happy vibe. Of all the people she had met, he was the most perplexing. Though his mysterious nature made seeing this genteel side of Ed that much more interesting, it was such a contrast to what she normally witnessed. As she waited for an answer, one of her hands released the fabric she had been toying with to drift toward his face. If she managed to make it that far, her fingers would lightly trap the temple of his sunglasses but pause for a moment. Though she could not see his eyes, he would see the honest intent in hers and if he did not protest, she would raise them up to rest on the top of his head.

Aella seemed a bit confused by his actions and yet a smile graced her face nonetheless. Édouard raised an eyebrow as she began to move to the music once again. He wondered what she felt in all of this. Were her sensations like his or different? More intense maybe? He didn’t know. He assumed the drug hit everyone a bit different. Still, he wasn’t going to complain. The surging energy of the room and the emotions of the people in it were enough to keep him satisfied for now. The light tugging she gave his shirt felt more akin to a sturdy shake. He let out a small “hmm” as he took note of how much more sensitive he was to the movement.

She remarked on how gently he’d been with his touch. What was she expecting, a brutish hand that wouldn’t softly explore the lines and curves of her from but grasp it harshly and selfishly like she was their play thing? That sounded more like something that skulking pretty boy Axel would do. He was the type to handle a woman that way. She followed up that question with another asking if he was afraid she’d break. He couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle. “Not at all.” He said watching her body as she sway to and fro with the sound. “You’re better built than that.” He thought of the sight of her arcing and sparking back at the Sakura dorm. If she was any form of dainty she’d have died that night. And while he had many unflattering things he could easily describe her as, he wasn’t going to mistake her for being frail.

His eyes locked onto the movement of her hand the moment it first started. She took hold of his sunglasses and he didn’t resist her pushing them up away from his eyes. He felt the glow necklace crown he’d been adorned with slip a bit further back on his head as the shades were pushed up. It would be hard to tell even with his icy irises, but his eyes were a bit dilated from the pill. He looked at her expression with a light curiosity. He slowly removed his hand from her chin, letting his thumb take it’s time as it moved away. He reached up to the sunglasses and removed them from the top of his head. There wasn’t any point leaving them up there. He flicked his wrist, folding one of the arms in before sliding the open arm into his breast pocket. With his sunglasses now stowed, he readjusted the necklace to keep it from falling off his head. While he still wasn’t really dancing at all, just ever so slightly swaying to the beat, he did seem to be enjoying himself. He took another quick look around them at the choppy images of moving humanity and light and then refocused on her. “As I was saying,” he let his thought hang in the thick air for a moment. “If I thought you were that easy to break, I’d have broken you already.” He moved in a bit closer as despite the fact he could hear her just fine, the music was loud enough that he had to compete with it and while he’d still have to raise his voice to overcome it, he thought he might not have to be quite as loud if he moved in a bit more.

“So, is this pretty much what a rave entails? Drugs and dancing around for a few hours packed together like sardines?” His questioned seemed honest, not carrying the usual undercurrents of his slightly more snobbish nature. “Don’t get me wrong, Aella, I’m enjoying myself but I’m out of my element if that wasn’t painfully obvious already.” He was in no rush to leave and he didn’t want to come across like he was pushing for them to leave. They hadn’t been there that long. But, he was curious if there was some kind of habit or schedule or something. Where there areas other than the crowed dance floor? Did a place like this have some sort of lounge or a bar? He’d lifted a little bottle but he wouldn’t pass up a drink here. Normally, he’d want to know so he could scope places out for anyone that looked like trouble or so he could slip quietly off to loiter in a corner but now he was just curious how this all functioned. “You know a lot more about how this works.” He mentioned before glancing around.

While he was asking, a man dancing away behind him knocked into him and caused him to stagger forward into Aella. The suddenly jolt was dizzying for a moment but the other person was so lost in their dancing that they didn’t even seem to notice. Édouard half turned around to see who’d made contact but realized it was pointless. Looking forward he realized there was no space between them. It took a second for his mind to fully lock in everything. The feeling of her warm soft body pressed against his, the sensation of the sweat that had formed a layer of moisture that covered her arms, a layer he’d broken with his hands as had he had instinctively grabbed hold of her to brace himself. The warm, moist, air moving from her lips as she breathed. None of it was lost on him.
The small gaps between them seemed to shimmer and vibrate not with the deep thooming of the DJ and his songs but with the beating of their hearts. It dawned on him how different this moment was. It was nothing like the icy chill of that night in the tent; frost covering every inch of the interior and the cold seeping deep into his very bones. He blinked a couple of times and smiled a little. “Sorry about that.” He said trying motioning behind him with a jerk of his head. “Some people like pushing personal boundaries” he remarked ironically considering that they were now pressed against one another. Then with a slightly impish tone he went on, "Sorry if that was bit rough but as you can see, I wasn't afraid of breaking you."

  • I'm the violence in the pouring rain.

“Good.” The word came out as a purr, followed by a smile that tugged only on one side of her lips. His answer intrigued her. She might have normally wondered if he meant it offensively, inferring that she was brutish or whatever, but those thoughts didn’t occur to her right now. She simply felt curious as to how he perceived her. To someone like Mephitis, she seemed weak and fragile and in need, that’s why he was always trying to help her. Ed however had a different opinion. What was the Aella in his mind like?

Her thoughts strayed from her ponderings as his hand left her chin. The absence of his warmth was noticeable. On some level she had thought he was planning to kiss her so she was surprised when he didn’t but she couldn’t feel disappointed about it, even if she wished it had happened. Perhaps she was simply curious about how his lips would feel against her own. It would become clear that her attention had wandered. Stormy irises drifted away from his icy blued to hover on the place her mind was thinking about, seemingly fascinated by their shape and how the light reflected differently on the pale line that defined them compared to the pigmented center. Then the plastic in her fingers began to shift and her attention was drawn up to the sunglasses she’d forgotten about.

It would be obvious to Ed that she was quite pleased he obliged her. She released the plastic in a giddy manner and there was a mischievous twinkle in her eye. Her tongue curled playfully to the side of her mouth where it could be seen barely peeking out from between her teeth. She might have lost a bit of mystery thanks to the molly, but she definitely kept her flirtatious energy. If anything, she was more misleading with her behavior since she wasn’t holding back. Ed’s usual standoffish vibe was often off putting for the teen so she didn’t flirt with him much. There were even times she was sure she downright despised him and though she remembered very clearly that she usually had negative opinions associated with the stoic blonde, she couldn’t bring herself to revisit those feelings. Right now, she very much liked Ed.

Looking into his pale orbs, she began to feel like he was less foreign and more familiar to her, which perhaps is why she didn’t have any problem running her fingers through his hair. The sunglasses were gone and her hand was still up there and it just looked so soft that she didn’t think about the consequences. Her fingertips dove right in, parting the short strands to push through the base of his follicles and stroke the portion of his scalp in the center of the glowing band. “Yeah, I usually just drink and dance. I like the heat, the energy, the music, it makes me feel alive, it makes me feel free. I'm a little afraid of drugs because of what happened to Autumn but after what happened at school this week I feel like I need to go crazy, but now it doesn't even seem like a big deal.” She replied, her voice dreamy and distracted by the feel of his hair. For a moment she glanced at the bottle he pulled out. Looks like Ed wanted to drink. That made sense, she remembered he seemed quite familiar with alcohol last time they’d ‘hung out’. “We could try and score more drinks.” Aella drew her hand slowly back toward her, letting the blond locks ripple around her fingers before pushing through them again. He had the softest, silkiest hair she had ever felt, it was almost like she had never felt hair before in her life. It was just so soft and wonderful, she could pet him forever. Would he let her pet him forever? “Can I pet you forev-”

A gasp leapt from her lips as Ed was suddenly pushed into her. The unexpected momentum threw her hand off which flew back in slow motion, forgotten about as his body came flush with her own. There were a few seconds that passed- (or perhaps longer since she was somewhat out of touch with time) where she was stunned by the overload of sensations. First there was the surface pleasure that erupted all across her flesh. The heat of his body, the way his muscular form insisted on shaping the feminine curves of her lithe figure, and the clashing of different materials and textures on her bare flesh sent her reeling. Then excitement and arousal began to kick in. Aella’s pulse fluttered at the sudden lack of boundaries, causing her breath to catch and a warmth blossomed between her legs. Something stirred in the pit of her stomach and without thinking, her lashes fell shut. Her head turned, blindly seeking to meet with his. They were so close, she could feel his breath crashing on her cheek like waves on the beach, yet just as the tacky surface of her lip-gloss threatened to catch on his own, he began to speak.

The apology drew her out of the trance, but she didn’t have it in her to feel awkward or guilty about the moment. “I don’t need boundaries, I trust you.” Aella informed him, her words soft but serious. Perhaps she would regret them later but she wasn’t thinking about what had been or what would be, she was simply living to exist in this moment.

Another person who was leading a train jostled Ed and Aella as they pushed past in a hurry yelling, “BODY SHOTS!!!” And that idea lit up Aella’s face in turn. “Body shots!” She yelled and turned to follow them, grabbing Ed’s wrist in the process so she could drag him along with her. “We need to steal some wristbands!” She called over her shoulder and used her free hand to point to some neon paper things that some people hand on them. It’s what marked the twenty-one and up crowd so the bartenders didn’t have to card.

Do not fall in love with people like me.
I will take you to museums and parks and monuments and kiss you in every beautiful place,
so that you can never go back to them without tasting me like blood in your mouth.
I will destroy you in the most beautiful way possible.
And when I leave, you will finally understand why storms are named after people.

Édouard blinked a bit when she mentioned trusting him. That couldn’t be right; it must have been the drugs they were on. True enough there had seemed to be a faint moment of something before he’d spoken. A moment of what, though? Certainly there was a great deal of tension between them of several different varieties. He didn’t have long to dwell on it. Someone had rushed passed and over the roar of the rave, the words “body shots had been unmistakable. He’d only had a brief second to process this before Aella erupted in excitement. She’d grabbed him and began pulling him through the masses saying something about wristbands. She pointed and his eyes followed to the neon colored paper wrapped around the wrists of the slightly older crowd. It was pretty clear what they meant even without it being explained. “How exactly do you plan on getting them?” He asked unsure of what was going on exactly.

"I dunno!" Aella called back over her shoulder, not really thinking the whole thing through. On another night, she might have had a more calculating plan to con some people out of theirs in exchange for her number or something (a number she didn't actually have since she didn't have a phone) but tonight she wasn't thinking in the same conniving ways as she often did. "You're smart, make a plan!" Thus, the how of it all was left up to Ed as he was ping ponged around at the tail of the human train.

Between being knocked back and forth between oblivious party-goers he could hear her admit she had no plan. An inconvenience but not nearly as big as foisting the task onto him to figure out, especially since he wasn’t entirely sure what he was doing. As she continued to pull him, following a line of people heading in the same direction, he looked around as best he could. Blurs of arms and flashes of light made it hard to focus on anything and the drugs and that warm light feeling it gave weren’t helping any. Though, through the haze of his own thoughts, an idea had shakily crept into his brain. “How much farther until we get to where we’re going?” He asked at this point moving forward in more of a stumble than an actual gait. He was in a building full of stoned out people. How hard could getting a couple of paper wristbands really be? Not that hard. He just needed Aella to stop trying to rip his arm out of the socket long enough for him to find some nice acquisitions.

Aella shrugged at his question. Unlike Ed, she enjoyed being bounced back and forth like a human pingpong ball. The pull on one end of her arm made their trajectory entirely unpredictable which gave her a thrill of excitement and each person she collided into was like briefly peeking into a new world. Each passerby had a different scent, a different texture of clothing and a different moisture level. It was all thrilling. Then her eyes spotted the bar. She released the person in front of her so she could point it out to him, a giant square neon thing in a sea of people. "There!"

He’d resorted to holding onto his glow necklace ‘crown’ with his free hand when she finally stopped to point out the bar. He gave it a good once over and then looked back at her. “So we need some neon wristbands to go over there and get a drink?” He asked moving closer so he didn’t have to shout quite so loud. He nodded a bit and glanced around. “Are there particular colors we need or will any do?” He shifted his weight a bit as someone bumped into him. “ Like do they separate colors for men and women or it is all that same?”

Aella actually laughed at his question, not because she was trying to be mean but because it was almost cute how ignorant he was. "They're all the same." She reached out to pet his head, partially because he was cute like a little kid on the big kid playground and also because she just wanted an excuse to touch his hair again, because it was soooo soft. A delighted and somewhat cheeky grin split her features as ruffled and stroked his golen locked, then gestured to a group of older ravers who all had wristbands, all in the same glowing green color. "See?"

He followed her hand as it reached for his head again. “I see.” He said as she began to pet his hair once more. He then let his eyes fall on the group of older participants. It was hard to concentrate with the sensation of her fingers gingerly mussing up his do. However, after a few moments he saw what he was looking for. A couple of the group were moving away toward another part of the room, possibly toward a small hall that might have led to a more secluded place, relatively speaking, a restroom or some other side hall, he didn’t know. But the area these two had started to meander toward was darker and had fewer people and that was all he really needed. He looked back at Aella and gave her a little smile. “Stay here. I’ll be right back.” He said before quickly moving into the sea of humanity and slinking off.

She didn't really have time to agree or protest, but she didn't mind being left alone. However leaving someone like Aella alone in the crowd was a sure fire way to pick up new additions to the group. By the time he returned, Aella was close dancing with some random guy they had never seen before. She looked completely oblivious to the hungry look in the guys gaze as she seemed to be about his hands on her hips. However she was not disappointed to see Ed reappear either. "Ed!" Aella broke free of the meathead who probably had some generic name like Mike to go with his generic looking face in order to throw herself at Ed in an overly friendly glomp. She then proceeded to loop her arm into his as well as into 'Mike's'. "This is my friend..." Pause. Program loading. Program frozen. Program moving on! "I don't know his name but he's suuuuuper nice!"

He had managed to obtain the wristbands as discreetly as he could. He weaved his way through the undulating masses and toward where he thought he’d left Aella. After parting a pair of careless dancers, he saw her. There was another guy there now. He wasn’t all that surprised by this considering earlier. Aella was quick move back toward him and proceeded to explain that this was “Mike” or something of the sort. He raised an eyebrow knowing full well that she had no idea who that man was or anything else about him. Before long she was putting an arm through his and this other fellows. He had no idea what her intentions were, though he could probably guess as his. Not that it mattered. In his free hand he held up two glowing green wristbands. “I got them.” He said with a small smirk. “Now, where do we go from here?” He asked her though he was already pretty sure where they were heading after getting the wristbands. Before letting her answer he leaned over a bit “Does your friend have one?”

"You did it!" Aella released the extra male in order to give Ed her hand, fingers all squished tight together so he could squeeze it over the large part of her knuckles. "Who?" What friend? She blinked and then glanced over her shoulder at the guy she'd been dancing with. "Oh yeah!" It excited her that she had a new friend! She'd forgotten about him for a second, but now that she remembered him again it was totally awesome! Except he didn't seem to think so. He scoffed at the two of them and sulked off into the crowd, clearly having lost the interest of the girl he'd been trying to pick up. It was totally okay though, because she knew he would have an awesome time with or without her so she didn't feel bad in the slightest. "Time for body shots~" She sang song at Ed, grooving with her shoulders as she let the excitement grow.

He hadn’t thought the guy would stick around. He chuckled a bit at his departure. The fact she’d momentarily forgot the other guy was even there made it all the better. He quickly adorned her wrist with one of the bands and did the same to himself before he looked back to her and saw that she was dancing and singing to herself about it being time for body shots. She seemed very excited by this and so he motion with his hand. “Lead the way.” He said with a small smile.

Lead the way she did. Aella grabbed his hand and dragged him up to the bar to cluster in with the group who had a whole crowd of people hooting and hollering as a bearded guy sucked a shot out of the bellybutton of a girl covered in tats. It was difficult to squeeze through, but Aella had a way of contorting her body into a curved sideways position that managed to wedge her way through the cracks of people's bodies and once she was through, she simply pulled Ed right along, people be damned. It never occurred to her that he might not know what a body shot was or that he might be surprised by the person laying out on the bar. All she had was one question. She craned her neck back over her shoulder. "Are you going first or am I?"

As they approached the bar, the people seemed to compact even tighter together. He was kind of impressed Aella could squeeze between them but less how she just sort of dragged him through the crowd like a plow in a field. He didn’t know, or really care, if anyone took offense to the suddenness of the blonde boy barging through them after she’d passed so gracefully. But finally, she’d made it to a spot she liked. He stood there watching the bearded man sucking the booze out of the woman’s belly button. It didn’t take a genius to figure out what was going on. He watched with a mix of curiosity and slight amusement. Then Aella’s head turned to face him and she asked if he wanted to go first or is she should. He blinked a moment letting that register. This was her thing so he decided to put the ball in her court. “You can go first.” He said with a slight nod.

"Okay!" It took a few rounds. Someone had an open tab that was going for the entertainment of watching the body shots but eventually Aella's turn came around. Without hesitation, she laid down on the bar with her knees up and pulled Ed to stand in front of her. What she failed to mention in her question of going first was who was laying down, since they both were actually part of this crazy ritual. The bartender was offering tequila- well tequila at that and didn't bother asking Ed if he even wanted tequila. Since he was involuntarily up to bat with her for a free shot, he simply had to man up and do it.

"Okay now stay still." The bartender instructed. Normally this wasn't a problem, but the drugs in her system was stimulating her in too many ways to really listen. She wasn't even aware of the slight squirming of her hips against the bar. With the jerk of his chin and the tilt of his head, the bartender gestured to Ed to place his hand on the front of her pants. "Keep her still or it's going to pill everywhere." With that, the amber liquid began to pour from the bottle. Not much would actually fit into her bellybutton. She had a cute little inny and there was a small diamond stud to contend with for space. Still, he filled up the space all the same. The cool liquor rippled with each breath she took and tracked up the diffused line of her flat stomach where he had sprinkled a trail of salt. Some of the salt dissolved into the shot and the longer Ed might hesitate, the more the liquor would drift and pool at the shot's precursor.

He’d waited for her turn curiously and at last the time had come. Before he knew it, she was again moving him around and had now laid herself on the bar itself. The man had the bottle ready but of course Aella wasn’t going to make it easy. She was squirming so, he did was he was told, putting his hands on the front of her pants to hold her in place. He watched carefully as the bartender moved in with the bottle and began to pour the liquid onto her exposed skin and then as it pooled in her belly button. He watched the bartender sprinkle a line of salt across her stomach and he couldn’t help but let his eyebrow rise. It was indeed a most interesting way to imbibe.

He gave a little smirk and said quickly, “Forgive me if I get the order wrong.” He then leaned over and placed his mouth over her navel. In a quick motion he dropped his head placing his lips over the amber pool of fluid before gently sucking it up. He wasn’t a big fan of tequila but whatever. He then moved on and ran his tongue up the flat part of her stomach, licking up the trail of salt that had been sprinkled out a few seconds beforehand. Without hesitation he moved over her and reached down and clenched onto the slice of lime with his teeth and pulled it free from her own. He had no idea if he’d done it right or not, he’d only had the few in front of them to really see what was going on and truthfully, the moving people waiting for their own turn didn’t always give him the best view.

If he thought she was squirming badly to begin with, that was nothing compared to what she was doing once he started taking the shot. It was probably a good thing he had taken the shot in the wrong order, because she likely would have spilled all the liquor before he'd gotten to it if he'd done it the right way. The moment the heat of his lips touched the sensitive flesh of her stomach, she sucked in a sharp breath that had her stomach dipping heavily away from him, almost as if it were running. It couldn't run far though, because he managed to trap the shot beneath his lips. Ed would notice his tongue needed to dip into the small well in order to properly suck up the liquid, which in turn caused her belly to shiver beneath his lips. Aella would have never thought that having someone lick her stomach would be so erotic and thrilling, usually this activity was more of an adrenaline rush than anything else, but she could feel everything from the texture of his tongue sliding across her smooth skin, how the muscle disturbed the thin metal rod piercing through her, and the way the salt grated between his slick tongue and her dry skin. No one, except Ed perhaps would hear the purring moan vibrate in her chest that the feeling of his tongue tracking up her chest.

When Ed leaned over her, she was completely dazed. A delicate flush crested the upper ridges of her cheekbones and her unfocused gaze stared right through him as he closed the gap. It wasn't until his teeth tugged against the lime that her pupils adjusted, sharpening on the blonde wisps of hair that shifted in her vision as the scent crashed against her like a wave hitting the shoreline. Pulling away, Ed would see Aella looking at him in a new way, almost as if she were seeing him for the first time. However events around them were moving too fast for him to decifer what it meant. Before she knew it, she was being helped off the bar which sent her mind back on tract to what they were currently doing.

Her voice came out somewhat airy. "Did you want to go now?" She asked, one finger halfheartedly pointing over her shoulder at the bar, asking if he wanted a turn.

Her reaction had been expected but also not expected at the same time. Truthfully, he had no idea what he was actually anticipating from her. Even if he didn’t want to admit it, it was a rush for him as well. The natural salt of her skin mixing with the tequila and the added salt and the lime as well all piled on top of the sensations of pressing his lips against her stomach and the running his tongue over her silky smooth skin. The twitches and tenses of her muscles her scent gently rising from her form. It was indeed an interesting moment. As he rose to his feet and she was being helped off the bar, he couldn’t ignore the heat building in his cheeks. He was glad, he supposed, for the lighting being what it was. For someone as stony-faced as him, blushing would have been most unbecoming. He wasn’t entirely there until he heard her speaking. He looked at her a moment and then what she’d said finally took hold and he glanced at the bar and then back at her. “I suppose it would only be fair.” He said moving a bit closer to the bar top.

Could she help the giddy grin that spread across her face? No, she could not. Did she even know why the thought of taking a shot off Ed made her feel both elated and mischievous? Nope, but it didn't matter either. Once he consented, she was pushing him up onto the bar and waiting for him to lie down. Aella was so excited, she was bouncing a little on the balls of her feet, eagerly awaiting the chance to get her sweet, sweet revenge- or perhaps it was simply the idea of getting Ed to do something like lay on a bar and let people pick him that had her all riled up. In any case, once he laid down, there was a tiny problem: his shirt. Unlike Aella, Ed was not wearing a cute little crop top. She was quick to help herself though, rather than waiting for him. With a saucy glance up at his icy blues, she placed one hand over the front of his pants, three fingers straying before the clasp of his jeans while the other two strayed over the hem of his waistband onto his stomach. The other hand tugged at his shirt fabric, pulling it up ever so slowly, pointedly looking at him and then glancing around at the crowd to make a show of it. Part of her wondered if he could make a straight face through the whole thing or if he would have a different expression.

"Last chance to chicken out." She teased.

He surprised her some with just how eager she was. Before he knew it she was pushing him onto the bar top. Once laid out, he’d intended on undoing his shirt but she was already working at it. Of course, the simplest way would have been to just let him unbutton it and whatnot but this was Aella. That wasn’t her way, high or not. He felt her hands moving down the hem of his pants and the look on her face told him that she would likely enjoy this far more than he did. After all, how many times had she been able to put him into a compromising position as opposed to how many times he’d been able to do that to her? The score was decidedly in his favor there. He couldn’t help but notice how she was taking her time. She looked at him, mischief in her eyes, as she then turned her attention to the crowd. There were many people looking their way. After all, the group around the bar seemed to cheer anytime anyone did…well anything really. He had no doubt she was making a spectacle out of him.
So she finally had him at her mercies did she? The tone in her voice as she told him it was his last chance to “chicken out” as she put carried such a devilish hint of playfulness to it and he knew there was no way he really could back down now. He was already laying there, she was exposing his stomach to the entire scene, and if he backed out now she might just get the idea that she’d been able to get one over on him. He smirked and gave her a playful look. “Chicken out? They do say discretion is the better part of valor.” He said slowly as if he was actually considering the idea of not going through with it. But, then he glanced around at the crowd. “But then I wouldn’t want to disappoint the audience, would I?”

“Of course not.” The cheeky grin persisted. Like before, the bartender poured the little shot, sprinkled the salt, popped the lime in Ed’s mouth, and then moved on to help other customers while the crazy body shot ppl had their fun. The hand that had drawn his shirt up pressed flat to his chest now, applying firm pressure to keep him still. Aella maintained eye contact with him as her head dipped low, tracking through the thick frame of her lashes until the last possible second. He’d feel the heat of her breath clash against his skin first and his own scent would jump up at her in response. There was that earthy smell again. She shook it off, forcing herself to lock onto the liquor since getting lost in it right at this moment would disappoint all of their onlookers! The moisture in her breath clung to his flesh seconds before the wetness of her tongue touched to the well defined crack in the center of his stomach. Ed’s physique was relatively chiseled in comparison to her own belly, which was more of a flat surface with some minor hills and valleys. She found it easy to slowly trace the shallow trench that divided his muscles, catching the salt as she went until she reached the liquor. Then in one fell swoop her head pressed down, lips forming a small suction around the little pool, tongue scooping all the way to the bottom. Without thinking, her thumb briefly dipped into the waistband of his pants and ran along his lower abdomen just long enough for her to swallow the liquor. When she popped up, her hand retreated and she dove for the lime.

If he expected her to take it all daintily without touching the way Ed had with her, he would find himself poorly mistaken. Aella bit into the lime, not pulling it from Ed’s mouth but closing her lips around it, somehow managing to squeeze some of the bitter citrus into his mouth whilst kissing him at the same time. In all senses, it wasn’t a very good kiss, but it was only after their lips touched that she chose to retreat, taking the lime with her. Aella pulled back with a green smile then pinched the rind free and popped it into the glass bucket with other used rinds on the bar. She waited for him to start getting off the bar before she leaned close to tease him some more. “I believe I just popped your body shot cherry~”
