Straps were secure - D'rok checked them three times, four times, and a fifth. Both to still his heart of any paranoia, but also Khazariath's. The bronze had never proven to be particularly worried about such things, but he'd had the mind to make sure he never had to have it put at the forefront. D'rok imagined it was very similar to what an actual, true love felt like - only differentiated by the fact that Khazariath was a part of him and to claim true love with his dragon would be like saying he was in love with his lungs.

Your lungs don't speak with you or have their own mind, Khazariath defended, almost offended by D'rok's comparison. The young man smoothed a hand over his dragon's cheek affectionately. You know what I meant by it, D'rok defended, knowing this to also be true. Khazariath would somehow manage to forgive him for it - it wasn't difficult, after all.

Still, with their riding gear properly prepared there was only one last thing to check - "Ready to head up?" D'rok asked, looking over to where Urzoh was (he hoped) also gearing up with Cartujanth. Straps, some firestone to toss back and forth (until they inevitably dropped it all).....they just had to practice a bit with the sky.

Are we ready nowww? Cartujanth was practically bristling with determined energy. Urzoh have a good natured chuckle as she gave the ridings straps one last testing tug. Firestone bag was secure and hole free. Urzoh might just be ready to do this, if she didn't think too hard about it was a crucial skill they were practicing, especially with some of the threadscored riders still healing over.

Urzoh rested a hand on Cartujanth's shoulder, her seriousness ebbing and flowing. Stilling the dragon who was (always) vibrating at the ready to tear through the sky.
Yes you silly beast. You're worse than a runner about to be let to the fields! Cartujanth merely scoffed. I'd love to see them use wings.

Urzoh gave a wave to D'rok. She settled atop Cartujanth's, eyeing that everything was still in its place. "I do believe so. Let's make it rain some stone."

D'rok laughed - "I hope we don't make it rain any and we catch it all." It was very lofty thinking, but at the end of the day that was the goal. There had been plenty of toss practice on the ground, so he trusted everybody to have good arms by now, but....

It didn't take long to scale up into Khazariath's straps, the motion so practiced by now it was nearly second nature in even a dragon his size. Once settled, he checked again - one, two, three. They were secure, good. There was no paranoia when it came to checking to make sure one would be safely skyworthy.

We'll follow your lead, Cartujanth, Khazariath told his sister, wondering if the green would find some delight in getting to be the leader in this instance.
