[LOG] Healed! (Kas x Middy)

The following days after the snake bite, Feathers had kept more to himself. He was waiting for the wound on his leg to heal. It was a painful first few days, but finally the pain began to subside. Once there was no stinging sensation when he put weight on his paw, did he finally meander out of the family den. In tow, a male crow hopped behind him. Obsidian Blue had been instructed to keep an eye on the new pack member, much to Feathers’ dismay.

“You know, I don’t need a baby sitter.” He grumbled, causing a callous laugh from the dark grow. “The bite wound on your legs says otherwise.” It was all the bird spoke as the male wolf headed towards the small water hole.

Soft Shadow caught sight of Feathers and Obsidian Blue heading to the watering hole, she heard the part about the bite mark and she decided she would follow after them to make sure Feathers was alright and hadn't gotten a souring on his leg. She frowned she thought he was out of the woods, but then again it was Feathers and for all, she knew he had fallen into a spider nest as well and complicated things. She made her way behind them not wanting to call out so she waited till they got to the watering hole to go and check on Feathers. "Greetings." She said softly "How are you feeling today Feathers?"

“Oh, Soft Shadow!” Feathers greeted, just as Sid landing on his back. “I didn’t expect to see you out here. I figured you were out doing healer-ly business.” Whatever that was. Feathers was a mere hunter, and knew nothing of herbs and healing. “Look, Obsidian, there’s another wolf here so maybe you can you know….go do more important things?” The dark wolf said with a frown.

The crow did a head tilt, eyeing between the she wolf and the male. He shook his head. “Orders are to remain here. So here I shall remain. Good day Soft Shadow.” He greeted the white wolf before his beady eyes settled on something else to watch.

“I feel like a child again.” He groaned, cyan eyes glancing at Soft Shadow. “Oh, I am feeling much better. Not much pain anymore, so I can walk almost normally again!”

Soft Shadow smiled at the pair "Greetings Feathers and Obsidian." Her tone was soft as usual. "I am on healer business checking on you I heard Obisidian say bite mark and I wanted to come to look at your wound to make sure it had not gotten worse." She said firmly. Soft rolled her eyes and shook her head watching Feathers try to rid himself of his escort. "I'm sorry I am glad you have Obsidian with you since you don't know enough about the mountains to be safe on your own yet. After all you were kicking rocks around." She said firmly. That was such a pup thing to do, well not a Dawnstar pup, even they knew to be careful of snakes. She laughed to herself this male had a lot to learn. "I'm glad you are healing well, may I see the wound?"

Feathers blew out of puff of air, sighing in defeat as the bird remained on his back. His ears perked forward, hearing that Soft Shadow was on healer business. He made a small ‘o’ with his mouth, as he stuck out his paw for her to examine. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to give you more work to do.” He apologized for the she wolf.

“It’s almost gone! Like…you can just barely see the marks anymore, and the fur seems to be growing back.” Sure enough, the fur on his paw was slightly shorter than other parts of his leg, but, the wound itself was scabbed over, and the intense red color had faded to a much softer pink. “I think it will be 1000000% better in the next few days.”

Soft Shadow smiled "It is no trouble Feathers, you will learn and everything will be alright, at least I know that my position as a healer is always safe." She teased a little. She smiled "See I told you the herbs would do the job and you doubted me at the time worrying to would never be well again." She was proud was her skill with herbs and her forward-thinking to make sure she was gathering herbs for snake bites just in case. She just had not been thinking she would need them so soon after gathering. It was good to know the batch she had gathered was strong.

“Yeah…you were right. I’m just glad there won’t be much of a scar there. Those herbs were good stuff!” The idea hit him. “Hey, Soft Shadow?” He asked the female with a small smile. “Do you think you could maybe teach me some things about healing? So um…If something like this happens again I will know how to take care of myself. That is, in the event there is no one else around? I don’t want to always have to rely on others…and maybe having some knowledge of herbs and healing will help me in the future? It’s a good skill to have….I think…”

Soft Shadow smiled as she looked at Feathers "I'm glad everything turned out well." She shook her head "Everyone needs to just slow down sometimes." She said thinking about other wolves in such a rush for everything. She smiled "I think that is a very good idea everyone should know basic healing, even a hunter can make a mistake and get bitten when out hunting and might need to find herbs to treat their wounds."

Feather's wagged his tail, hitting the ground with a few soft thumps. He flashed a smile to the female, nodding quickly. "Let's meet again maybe tomorrow? I'll make sure to watch my steps until then!" The tattooed male chuckled. He'd be a good healer one day. One Day

Soft smiled at the young male, he was very sweet if not a little foolish. "Of course I will see you tomorrow then." With that she went off to check on other members of the pack. (Fin)
