This lovely wolfdog is the first ever wolfdog to come into contact with the Swamp Lurkers. How did she come to join the pack, and what impression has she made?

Things to note for this contest:

a) As a whole, the pack is unfamiliar with many of the other breeds of wolves. The first berserkers in the pack were simply believed to be blessed by the spirits in unfamiliar ways.
b) Her white markings mean that she has been blessed by the spirits, whom the pack greatly respects and treats with an equal amount of fear and awe.

Wolfdog's Name: Sidewinder
Origin: Sidewinder was the offspring of a wolf male and a dog female, when she was playing with her siblings one day, she was swept down a creek away from her family, she was deposited unharmed in the heart of the forest, way too far away to find home again, she hunted and grew and it came time that she really wanted company. She found herself in swamp lurker territory quite by chance, she liked the vibe of swamps and was thus attracted to them, she had come from quite a dry place, hence her name, and she was naturally drawn to the beauty of standing water. There she met the swamp lurkers who treated her so well upon meeting her, like her opinion really meant something to them, apparently because of her white markings. So she stayed and was welcomed as a new memeber with something a little extra. She treats everyone in the pack equally with the same respect, even the young ones who think her tail is just the best toy ever.
Personality: Sidewinder likes information, she likes knowing what is going on in all areas of the pack, in case her help might be needed. She wants to prove to her knew family that she belongs there. She is a boisterous and perky spirit despite her somewhat rocky start in life. She is resourceful and diplomatic. But can get a bit jealous over the wolf she falls for one day. She is a handful with a lot of energy but she is also capable of amazing things and has good endurance if not speed.

Wolfdog's Name: Titania (can change if this doesn't match themes)
Origin: Titania came from a small flock (not pack, flock, they called themselves) of wolfdogs, birds, wolves, several ethereal, and a handful of wisps that forgot to return to the portal before it closed and thus pledged their loyalty. Together, they coexisted in a strip of the deepest forest called the All-Wood, a place that had originally meant to be a peaceful congregation for any and all species but which had devolved over the generations to be mostly controlled by several noble lines bartering for power from the king or queen, who was their Shepherd. Titania herself was the oldest child of the royal couple's first litter and meant to ascend when they grew old and abdicated, and so many tried to become close to her as she grew.

This was difficult, given that "wild child" was an understatement of a description. Chaos seemed to follow Titania wherever she stepped, whether purposefully or otherwise. She had no ambition for the throne despite having a gift for socializing and intuiting what others wanted: the only thing that interested her was goofing off and making her friends happy. This was also difficult, seeing as she had no "true" friends in the All-Wood, only a loose pawful of acquaintances that shifted alliances as it pleased them. She learned to go with the flow but itched to get out, to see beyond these trees and stay on the move, hopefully away from disingenuous tongues and grasping claws.

Maybe it was fortunate that the next sibling beneath her, her brother Oberon, wanted power so badly he would do anything to secure it. His microaggressions and manipulations weren't always lost on her, but he was family, and Titania couldn't begin to hate him because of it. They had been close once, after all, when they were puppies. When the throne felt so distant the trees could hide it. So when he offered her the ultimatum to leave or else have dirt spilled about her--and he had acquired plenty of ammunition, given Titania's impulsive habits and lack of self-care, from being made the fool in front of the court to being seen with females inappropriately--Titania took it without looking back. It would make Oberon happy to be king, and she felt he would be a much better fit for the job than her raggedy a** ever could.

On the cusp of adulthood, she faked her death. Oberon had all the details in mind, she simply did what he asked with her head hung and ran when given the signal. It hurt less than it should have.

The swamp felt like it could be a new home, maybe. It was gross and muddy and a far cry from the almost preternaturally beautiful forest she had grown up in. It felt like Titania felt inside: messy and unapologetic about it. But then irony struck again: the band of wolves she took up with thought she was special. And the wolfdog never wanted to have that sort of awe leveled at her if she could help it...But. If she must? She had to make it her own.

So she tweaked their story: not blessed by the spirits, but part spirit herself. A pixie, born only to revel in the little pranks and bits of chaos she could find there. She told them of the wisps that inhabited her home and how they gave a piece of themselves to help ease the mother during labor, touching the children with magic. It was all bullshit, of course, but Titania was good at bullshitting and at saying what others wanted to hear. And maybe here, she could be someone else if she just talked enough--someone that wasn't a complete mistake.
Personality: Titania could simplify herself to anyone that asked as just a smokey-voiced b***h that likes to hang around other wolves and have fun. She'll laugh to make sure you know your joke was funny (even if it wasn't), she'll hole up with you if you have a bad day and distract you as her whims dictate, she'll take on your job if it helps you out. She has a habit of stretching herself to accommodate the needs of others over herself, and while at her core she's a bit of an a*****e at times, her edges blur to fit the molds as needed. Mothering, sistering, friending, one night standing, psychologisting (admittedly not her best one), she's a flexible creature for the ones she likes. Just don't expect her to lie to you unless it's about herself.

However, she's always careful not to get too close. Old habits die hard; it's much easier to assume that even in a new pack, wolves will come and go from her life. Best to just accept it, because if she doesn't, she'll become something ugly. Something clingy. And nobody wants that.

The only thing Titania ever asks for is to not be bored. To never hear an awkward silence stretch in her vicinity. Thankfully, she's a master of conversation and socializing, and her intuition when it comes to others means she has a deeper understanding than she realizes, especially of what others want or need. Whether she actually acts on it is another story. More often than not, she'll play small pranks or create games to keep the energy up, and if not that she'll insert herself into others' lives like an annoying bug that won't get swatted. Anything to avoid being alone with herself, even if it means pretending.

She's good at playing games and nothing else, anyway.

Wolfdog's Name: Morgunn
Origin Story: Morgunn was born to a single mother who hadn't ever intended to have pups. Luckily for her mother, she had only the one. Unluckily for Morgunn, her mother wanted very little to do with her, no matter how hard the pup tried to get her mother's attention. She wouldn't get any when she behaved nor when she acted out. Eventually, she'd come to the conclusion that if she wasn't going to get any attention from her mother, she would get it elsewhere and so she ran away. Her mother never came looking.

From then, Morgunn got picked up by another couple, who loved and doted on her. They raised her up right and taught her how to fend for herself, yet the damage was done. When they had pups of their own, Morgunn became jealous and left at once, for she would not be outdone by others.

So on she went, flouncing from family to family and as she got older, from one male to another. Eventually she saw it as a game: how much attention could she get from one party the longest. How much could she make them crave her company? She'd never stay long, a part of her worried they'd always find someone better eventually, so she would leave before that could happen.

She thought she'd live that way forever, but then she came into the swamp. She met the wolves there that seemed to think she was lovely if only for the white streaks she possessed. She found that she wanted to stay, to see how long she could milk it... and her ambition began to grow. They may not see her as great for merely her markings forever, so she had to find some manner to keep their attention. With so many wolves in the pack, surely she'd be able to keep someone's attention longer than any she had before, right? What better a game to continue than in a pack? Maybe it would be even more fun than the rogues she'd played with before. What fun!
Personality: Impish by nature, yet desperate for attention, Morgunn has always taken great delight in being a mystery to others. With an independent spirit and a tendency to run off at the drop of a leaf, Morgunn has never been one to put down roots at any given time. She preferred to be coveted by others, but would never stick around for any commitment to those she met.

That was, until she met the Swamp-lurkers. Intrigued by their spirits and more-so that her common white markings, hardly something that she would've remarked upon before, seem to make her valuable, the Swamplurkers, or Reflection's Pack, as they call themselves (the curious creatures) have turned this flighty she-wolf into a vain creature. They've given her a sense of purpose, you see. If she is meant to be doted on because she's "spirit-touched", who is she to try to dissuade them? Better yet that she's the first of her kind to join this pack. Determined to be remembered for greatness in one form or another, her vanity has grown since she'd come to the pack, but so has her ambition. She doesn't think much of these spirits, but she will play along for however long she must, if it means she'll stay in the pack's good favor.
