Coming up upon Kale, he was interested in his take of the bone, or as he put it, a tooth. If this was a tooth, Shapeless could not even begin to fathom actually how big this creature was. This Kraken would be a burden upon the wolves of kells, dires and beserkers alike. Listening to Kale spout his words about this creature, Shapeless just kept his cold eyes on him. He was still thinking if he should just end this Monster Hunter Kale here, or keep hunting for these monsters he talked about. With eyes boring towards the beserker, he popped up with his head held high to answer his question.

"This monster...this Kraken as you say might have feasted on the bigger victims that call the water their own, but let us be happy that he also only calls the water his home."

Shapeless could not even begin to imagine if this creature was real and walking on the ground instead of swimming underneath the horizon of the water. After his words seemed to penetrate Kale's mind, he changed the subject to another big creature that called the Waylands its' home.

          The Waylands....

Shapeless cracked a grin. He called the Waylands his home away from home. Even though he was deemed a wander through the lands, the Waylands always held a special place in his heart. With a crackle of his deep voice, he looked up at Kale.

"I have no fear of the Waylands or this winged beast. I will go in search for your proof."

With a turn of his body towards his destination, he wondered why he was giving this Kale the benefit of the doubt and following his instructions. It would just be easier to battle, but maybe the change was what he needed. With his mind racing, he started towards the Waylands and before he knew it, his long stride at a nice jog, he was already at the outside of the lands. With a deep sigh of familiar territory, he started to run towards deeper into the cruel lands, but the further Shapeless got into the Waylands towards the peek, the deeper his toothy grin grew.

Once he reached his destination, he started to slow down, keeping his eyes scanned towards the ground, searching for any proof that Kale had asked for, and also for any movement. Even though he called the Waylands his home, he knew the dangers that lurked around the corners. Shapeless was not worried about others coming up towards him. His stature alone made others second guess if they wanted to start with him and, usually, was the other way around. Shapeless was the one looking for others to fight and quite potentially kill.

As he rounded the corner, he noticed hoof prints all around the ground. He could not make out what was fighting this hoofed creature, or not so fighting, trying to capture. Whatever it was had won and left behind a piece of a hoofed limp. What confused Shapeless was that there were no prints of the victory walking away with the carcass of this hoofed creature, potentially a goat or pony. The fight was not was made him believe this was proof, Shapeless knew the Waylands was full of fighting for survival, but wolf prints would have been prevalent in the area as well. None were found.

          This will have to do.

Picking up the severed limp by his teeth, his mouth started to water as the blood dripped down his muzzle. He wanted to eat this, he had gone a day without eating, but perhaps Kale would let him finish off the limb after he told him the story of the fight. Fighting off hunger, he started towards Kale with the limb.

Before Shapeless knew it, he was in front of Kale, dropping the limb in front of him.

"Kale, this may not seem like much, but let me tell you the scene this was left at....."

Shapeless was a great tracker, he had to be to find those to kill. As he looked upon Kale, he reiterated the story of the battle scene he had seen. Hopefully, that would be enough.

Piranha roll!

3. Hoof prints or rather, some sort of scuffle involving a hoofed creature. But you can’t possibly show that as proof, right? So how about the entire hoofed limb that was cleanly snapped off the… goat? It was once a part of. It is, unfortunately, a little bloody. It might be hard not to consume the evidence.

Here we go again.

Another hunt for another creature this obviously brainwashed berserker was on about. At this point though, Piranha felt too deeply involved to just back out now. He'd see this through to the end then grumble about it. Or perhaps just grumble through the entire thing, he didn't know. His plank, he had felt, turned up bust. All that digging and getting sand up his nose only to be told about some she wolf and her stories of a giant wooden... thing... that carried other things and beasts across water before ultimately disappearing. Was hard to believe words when there wasn't much proof besides a plank he brought back.

Still, the idea kind of tickled his fancy. Being a wolf born into a family of fishers, water was more a kin than enemy.

But now they were on the hunt for something bigger, something that flew and ruled the skies on powerful wings, with large talons and nests made of bones of wars past.Piranha snorted. It sounded silly but also quite amazing. For a moment he pictured himself resting on the bones of his enemies, lined with a never ending supply of fish. His tongue darted across his muzzle at the thought. When had he last eaten? Shaking himself, he set off towards the Waylands and towards the Redwoods. He peered curiously at the dying trees, their twisting roots and limbs crying for help for help that would never come. He noted how some seemed as if frozen in mid flee and he cracked a smirk though it faded quickly. This was most definitely not a place he'd want to linger long. Too dry and not enough water for the fish born wolf.

His eyes were drawn towards the sky at first, trying to spot any sort of sign this beast Kale spoke of did indeed raid the airways above. His green gaze was growing weary trying to find any kind of sign and he was about to give up when his nose, and hunger, alerted him towards something else. Something more rooted and less above him. As his nose led him towards the scent of flesh he began to notice patterns akin to that of hooves. A deer perhaps, or pony? Or something else all together, he couldn't quite tell. It was obviously a scuffle of some sort, this hooved being trying to get away from something.

A large bird perhaps?

"What good does this do me though...." he growled a moment until a pang in his stomach reminded him of the scent that lured him close. A limb, severed from its host, but a limb none the less. There it lay, bloody and tempting but otherwise unsupervised. Padding up to it he nosed it, trying hard to resist the urge to gobble it down. Normally, a meal like this wouldn't really tempt him but he was going off an empty stomach and days of monster hunting. Right now a bite of goat, or whatever this was, was quite welcoming. Still, he was supposed to return with some sort of proof right?

Growling again, Piranha shook his head and scooped the leg into his mouth, trying his best to ignore the temptation as the sweet, tangy crimson liquid dripped down his throat. Snorting, his paws moved quickly to carry him back towards Kale and show him what he had found. Something had a nice meal, and that something was not him. Whatever it was... Piranha was jealous.

1. A series of blood-stained feathers, too large to belong to any crow or owl and yet too small to belong to the Roc.

Once Midnight had revealed what he had found a whole new wonderful destination presented itself. Kale immediately sent him off on a second journey leading deep into the Redwoods themselves. Being pack-less carried an advantage currently for he could come and go as he pleased while doing a vigorous bit of sight seeing in the vicinity of Kells. Following his orders he prepared to step out to find evidence of yet another Colossal Beast whom was rumored to be the King of the Sky. Just imagine a huge bird that could cover a good portion of the sky; literally something unimaginable to others.Midnight on the other hand was actually quite eager to find more evidence while he explored Kells. Ever since he was a pup he somehow managed to make his sister run away. Perhaps, he might come across her now they they were grown and apologize.

First thing in the breath of morning he was up, stretching for his new journey into the Red Woods. Carrying a definite path within his mind he'd weave through the Forest avoiding the pack lines. Midnight Frost wasn't certain which if any pack he'd choose. Definitely, a set route would be an edge taking him deep into the Waylands to seek out this huge bird for Kale. Moving through the wood with stealth he finally made his way deep into the heart of the Redwoods; the ruins. Noting an oddity with the trees bending in peculiar ways he agreed he was finally close to what he set out to find. The air seemed heavy drawing down his enthusiasm immensely as he pushed onward. The wind itself howled like an injured wolf sending shivers down his back. The atmosphere wasn't very receiving of his presence or any other that dared to invite themselves unannounced. Eve the dirt was cracked leaving no hope for any life to proper here except maybe a huge bird!

That certainly wasn't comforting in way you viewed the situation.

Still, Midnight had a job to do that involved finding truth in a fairy-tale Kale Spun into a huge believable story. In any sense in the beginning it seemed like a farce till the young male had set off for an incredible experience to the ocean. There he unearthed something amazing that got Kale super excited. This trip had to yield something, anything that would bring back proof this King of the sky. Nose to the ground he started scenting out anything that would seem out of place proving there was truth to this huge bird.

Then he paused, ears swiveling forward.

Moving at a steady place he located feathers scattered about stained in a sickly sweet blood. These particular feathers were larger then a crow or owl but, he was certain they couldn't belong to the King of the sky - could they? Shaking his head he wouldn't judge this find till he knew what he had discovered. Taking his paws he scooped the feathers together then picked them up in his jaws, careful not to crush them. Then he turned facing the way he came to seek out Kale once more leaving no room for error. Deep within Midnight Frost's mind he had an inkling this wasn't the last quest that would be asked of him. First to the Ocean then to the very tops of the spire,

Midnight was certain this was only the beginning of his journey through Kells.

The she-wolf sighed resignedly as she traveled once more, this time into the northern Waylands. If she had known this wasn’t a one-time thing, Dreams of Amber Starlight probably never would have agreed to help the strange berserker. She’d wanted /something/ new in her life, not a permanent whole new nomadic lifestyle. But, she hasn’t found anything that made her want to quit these somewhat-ridiculous assignments Kale Greenleaf kept giving her, so she decided as long as she didn’t know what she wanted to do next, she would keep doing them. Maybe she’d run into the love of her life along the way, maybe she’d find a profession that filled her with passion and vigor, maybe she’d make a best friend or have a fling and some children, anything was possible. And at the very least, at least she was getting to travel… first the ocean, and now the mountains. Her rich brown fur was dulled by the dust and grime stirred up by traversing the dry clay mountains, rendering her more reddish-grey than anything. She’d entered the Forest Ruins a few days before and did not like the aura that surrounded her. Amber’s senses were constantly on high alert, her fur raised and her ears back, ready to react. The entire place was spooky and unearthly, a bit creepy and definitely more lifeless and desolate than any place had any right to be. She could not wait to find the evidence she’d been sent to find and get out of here before danger befell her.
She knew she was looking for something from a bird rumored to be a gargantuan beast, but she could hardly believe something so large truly existed. She glanced up and down, scanning the unnatural, dying trees as she padded cautiously through the decay that surrounded her. Amber did not want to be here any longer than absolutely necessary, and she was getting a little desperate to find the evidence already. Days in this environment were starting to take a toll on her and she was losing her motivation to finish the job. As she courted the idea of giving up and returning empty handed, she spotted something enormous in a tree. It appeared to be a piece of a bird nail, but it was just so *big*. She looked up at it, annoyance plain across her face. How was she going to get that thing down, let alone drag it ALL the way back home? Amber flicked her ears and sat down, pondering, before making a decision. She climbed up into the tree and pushed down on the fragment of talon from above, dislodging it. The talon crashed to the ground and she lept from branch to branch until she too was back with paws on the earth. Up close she could see the talon had a bit of skin and fur attached, and although it was old, she could still faintly smell wolf on it. Her ears flattened, her posture defensive. Amber grabbed the other end of the talon and dragged it behind her, searching for materials to make a travois to drag behind her.
