The best part of candidate chores was that there were no good parts of candidates chores. Chores were chores no matter how they were looked at and Oreune hated them with every inch of her being. She still did them of course, because of the whole 'it's required' and her mindset of 'nothing better to do', but that didn't mean she enjoyed it. Her chores today thankfully had her out and about running errands, a task that gave a bit more freedom in her time and movements than many others.

So, naturally, she took full advantage of that and was in the middle of a well-deserved break. The weather was chilly and so she sat to catch her breath, sipping idly at a warm mug of klah she'd picked up. Was this place supposed to get snow? If it had snowed before she never noticed, and so the teen looked up at the sky and wondered.

It wasn't a snowflake that appeared overhead. Though obviously high up in the sky, the dark form could only be a dragon, circling in to land. As the dark, muscular bronze backwinged, his rider sighed. Another cold, uneventful sweep, but not a wasted one. No exercise was ever truly a waste, no matter how futile it may seem. But the weather definitely wasn't making it enjoyable.

"Let me see about getting a warm cup of klah," L'del said as he unbuckled his straps and slid down his dragon's shoulder. "And I'll see about another jar of oil for you... Your second ridge is looking dry again."

It does itch, came the reply.

With a friendly slap to the bronze's foreleg, L'del strode into the lower caverns.

Yawning hugely, Helsinth considered going back up to his ledge to wait, but spotted a youngling nearby. Hmm, one of the hopefuls? Turning lightly whirling blue/green eyes in her direction, he considered her.
