Snow Rabbit moved melodically through the lands the pack had settled into, he hadn't taken a guard to come with him as it wasn't that it was brand new to him. But it had been a good couple of months since the Iron Hides came to these lands to settle for the time being. He wanted to be well acquainted with the feel of travel beneath his paws and get used to the natural scents without the others around him.
He was within earshot of some of the out-skirting pack members but he was far away enough that no one would come running for him unless he howled out for someone. Not that he often needed help, but he wanted to take the pack's feelings into consideration. It hadn't been very long since they lost their elder Alpha Iron. Tutting in remembrance for the older Alpha who had taught him many a life lesson, smiling calmly on his jaw, pulling his dye back along his jaw. Nonetheless he moved off a bit more to slink through the tall grass of the field they had settled down into. He preferred the forested are near the Crows but he knew the pack needed to spread out and be everywhere often.
He moved off to see if he could pinpoint a herd not too close to any pack territories for the pack to feast off of. Hoping to find a good area to pick off a few here and there. If he had to find another Alpha to negotiate hunting terms, he would, but Rabbit had felt more comfortable finding out someplace for his pack to call their's for the time being. He had many large wolves to feed, and Chase preferred to work with only the Iron Hides, though the dark wolfess did enjoy teaming up with Crows and Sand Raiders often.
Although the wind was picking up and rain was on his nostrils he knew it wouldn't rain before he got home, or he hoped not. He expected Hydrangea would go looking for him if that was the case though.
