Elune adored her great grandchildren. There was more than pride in her heart, at seeing her family grow. It is always a welcome time, to spend moments with the young, to watch them become adults.
Elune gave her love, Tokidoki, a goodbye kiss. She told him she would be taking their grand-daughter to the lake deep in the forest. She would return to him on the 'morrows afternoon.
Elun'dris was a child of late Spring. Many get lonely or cold during winter, and thus, many foals were born in Spring or early Summer. The flowers were long in bloom for the season. The snow something that Elun'dris had yet to experience. With Summer approaching, warm weather began to make its appearance in the afternoons, before it got cool again at night. Elun'dris had asked to spend the night with her great grandmother, yet again! It is one of her favorite things to do. She didn't call her Great Grandma, but instead, called her Gigi, short for Great Grandmother. It is too informal to call her by her first name. This is a name that Elun'dris used first, then it stuck. Now everyone called her Gigi.
Elun'dris skipped up to her Gigi, with a big grin. "Mom said I could stay with you tonight!"

As Elune stepped into a cozy clearing in the trees. This is a meeting place for the family, and a safe spot they could always come to. Even though Elun'dris was without her mother, she was never far. All her family knew how to find this place. She smiled softly as Elun'dris bounded up to her. "Hello little one." she said quietly.
Elun'dris immediately noticed that Tokidoki wasn't with her Gigi. She didn't ask where he was, but the thought hung in the back of her mind, tucked there till she could process it for reasons her budding mind yet understood.
"Where are we going tonight Gigi?" she said with peaked interest. Gigi always took her to interesting places, and would sing for her.
Elune reached down and hugged the small foal with her neck and chin, in a loving embrace. "Tonight, I am taking you to the lake in the woods." She did notice the look on Elun'dris face. "If you are looking for your Great Grandfather, he is giving us a girls night to ourselves." she said with a wink of her cool ice blue eye. Time had softened up many of her expressions, along with a family she could trust. "Come along, we shall head there before it gets too dark." Even though she had no alicorn blood in her, Elune stepped gingerly on the ground below her. Having been raised in the forest, she felt the ground and trees were a part of her. That connection reflected in the way she glided across the ground.
Elun'dris practically purred with the hug. Gigi gave the best hugs. "Oooohh." she replied at the thought of the lake. She didn't like the thought of the dark, but felt safe with Gigi by her side. Elun'dris wrapped her tail around her great grandmothers back leg, and kept it there. Like a human child might hold the hand of someone they trusted. As they walked side by side, Elun'dris stayed close, tail in place. Even though she had never got lost before, she never let the opportunity arise. Taking extra precautions whenever they went somewhere new. Elun'dris has a great sense of direction. Once she goes somewhere new, she can normally find it again without guidance.
