[Solo] Midnight Star x Blanket of Stars

Midnight Star had been spending a lot of time in the redwoods area and she would do so till she was sure that Black Comet and WhiteStar no longer needed her, then she would be moving on. She knew that Leg Bones would go with her, but she expected he would go off on his own soon as well. She loved all her pups, but she was relieved that Black Bone and the Crows were there to take care of the pups. Star didn't think she was the right mother for pups who needed her for everything. She was not the gentle maternal type. She would ripe the throat out of anyone who would dare harm her pups, they were her blood and therefor her heart but she had to move on soon it was just who she was. She thought she heard a sound as she rounded a tree as she wandered the area. Her ears perked up. As she looked around for the source of the sound.

Blanket of Stars flew above Midnight looking down at her wondering what she was doing. Then she landed in the tree. She watched Star quietly. Blanket had picked Star for whatever reason and kept watch over Star's pups and delivered messaged between Bone and Star. She didn't often have much to say which seemed to make Star more comfortable anyway.

Midnight looked up and saw Blanket in the tree and she nodded they would not be staying much longer. Star needed to move on and her pups would not need her at all for much longer. Their father would protect them and they would be fine in the pack they had chosen. She sighed as she sat down by the tree that Blanket was sitting in. She didn't glance up as she asked "Everything alright?" Her tone was soft.

Blanket nodded and then noticed that Star wasn't even looking at her so she said "Of course." Blanket had watched the pups since they were born and she had picked Star to be bonded to. They were friends in a simple comfortable way and Blanket didn't mind that Star wasn't the motherly type. She knew that Star would do anything for her pups and she had done the one thing she needed to do the most she made she they were safe and cared for. Leg Bones was already striking out on his own. Midnight didn't hover or chase after her pups. She was confident in their skills to take care of themselves. Blanket still checked in on each of them making sure they were alright. She worried over WhiteStar and his seer cursed eyes, but there was nothing she could do to help him with his head aches.

Midnight sighed out she was glad that her pups were doing well and they would be safe and protected when she left the area. Which she intended to do soon. Her pups were growing stronger by the day she was confident they would each live very interesting lives.

Blanket opened her beak and make a happy sound, she knew the pups she had watched over and she cared for them all they were good pups and they would certainly show the world what was what as they grew up. She was lucky she would be able to spend more time with Leg Bones. At least if he didn't wander off on his own, which was always possible. She didn't think Star would stop Leg from running off on his own if he chose. Then again perhaps the pup would stay with them a while longer. There really wasn't a good way to tell considering the pup was such a free spirit. He was even now he was off doing his own thing. He really did take after his mother. Blanket laughed to herself wondering if there was a female in the world that might find a way to end his wandering paws.

Midnight was growing more uncomfortable with this redwood land, she had stayed because some of her pups did not wish to leave but she would be leaving soon. If they needed her they could always send a bird her way to send a message but it was growing time for her to move on. She needed to find her brother Soul Eater and tell him he had nephews and a niece. She wondered if he would be mad at her for getting herself in this situation. If she had been unlucky she would have been on her own with these pups. The thought scared her a great deal she had no idea what she would have done if Black Bone hadn't been willing to help care for the pups.

Blanket fluttered her wings and tucked her head under her wing as she rested her eyes for a bit. She sighed out softly she knew they would be leaving soon, but she still had a job to do so she needed her rest in case she was needed to deliver a message between the mother and pups or the father and pups. She intended to serve Star for a very long time and part of that required her to have enough energy to do so. She also needed to find a male crow to help her create some eggs that way she would have some helpers to deliver messages across Kells. She thought it was a very good idea indeed, perhaps others would think it a foolish idea but she wasn't just any crow. Least she didn't think so.

Star got up and looked up at Blanket of Stars and she said "I think it's about time we collected Leg Bones if he wishes to go and move along." WhiteStar and Black Comet would be fine with their father and Leg Bones would either come with her or he would make his own way in the world. She was confident he was strong enough to do so if he pleased. He was a clever pup.
