Æinarr was practically buoyant, the youth looking as if he hadn't a care in the world as he made his way across the pride's border to meet up with the captain he'd convinced to take him (and a number of his equally-young peers) on their first Viking. Just how he'd convinced the gruff captain to do so was something even the lion himself wasn't 100% certain of - although there was a certain charisma to Æinarr's overwhelming self-confidence that could be somewhat hard to resist (although to be fair, it was almost as likely to annoy as it was to charm...)

It was his first time crossing the border, and he looked around with interest, mentally cataloguing it all. He had every expectation of returning home with something suitably impressive, and was looking forward to the adventure they might find along the way.

Ferox also made his way to the agreed-upon meeting place, although his mindset couldn't be more different. He felt determined, to the point of being edgy - surely if he gave a good showing, his mother would have to acknowledge him? He refused to even consider that perhaps she was right, and that maybe he was...somehow less than his siblings (most particularly his sisters). Giving himself a mental shake as he emerged through some rather thick scrubby plants, he pasted what he rather hoped was a confident smirk on his maw, looking to see just who else was going to be attempting to make a name for themselves.

Spotting only Æinarr, he made a face; something about the other teen had always made him itch to knock him down a peg or two...perhaps this viking will be the perfect place to show him he's not the most impressive lion around...? he thought, the goal giving him something to focus on, even as he nodded slightly in the older male's direction.

He tried his damnedest not to show the excitement he felt. It was difficult when he felt like his muscles were vibrating underneath his skin, when his stomach tightened from something he refused to acknowledge as nerves. Like most of his siblings, he was large for his age, an attribute of the god blood that he did not know he carried. Unlike most of his siblings, he did not really rely on the strength he could possess. Either he underestimated himself in that department, or he really was more invested in honing his quick wit and intellect.

After all, a leader... a Warlord even, did not rely on brute strength alone to lead a pride as massive as the Myrsky Syntynyt. That alone was motivation to see the young male enlisting on a viking the moment he was old enough. The only downside to this adventure was that he did not see Munnin here, but rather Æinarr. Boys were boys, and well, the entire family had gotten into enough scraps with one another that they could all have a chip on their shoulder and love one another at the same time.

It was complicated.

"Brother," he greeted his camouflage patterned brother. "You're early, overeager, huh?" he teased with a toothy grin.

The large adolescent had barely had time to return Ferox's minute nod with one of his own, raising an eyebrow in curiosity at what had the smaller teen seeming so...stand-offish, when one of his brother's appeared. Huginn. Excellent.

Grinning easily, Æinarr showed no offense at his brother's accusation. Striding toward him, he bumped his shoulder affectionately against his sibling's. "Is there any such thing? We finally have a chance to see what lays out here," he began, motioning at the...rather unimpressively plain landscape that greeted them beyond the pridal border. "Throw in a chance to test ourselves in the real world, and I wasn't about to be the last one to show up."

...Plus, if he were honest, he wouldn't put it past the captain he'd talked into this to use tardiness as an excuse to leave the teens behind. His self-confidence was boundless, but he wasn't stupid.

"I'm glad to see you didn't drag your paws, either though, Huginn..." His grin changed, showing a flash of bright white teeth.

Great. Ferox barely held back a sigh. It was bad enough that he was going to have to put up with Æinarr for the duration, but now one of his siblings had shown up as well...they were probably just as cocky and obnoxious as their brother was. Not that it was enough to make him debate if going on a Viking was worth putting up with it - he was determined to prove his worth; surely no one would be able to question it when he came back from his first viking bearing goods - maybe he'd even capture a thrall?

Pointedly ignoring Æinarr, he found himself eyeing Huginn as they waited for the rest of their band to show; curiously, the pair of males didn't even look related, at a glance, aside from their larger-than-average size. Just what had their mother fed them, to have both of them so...intimidatingly large?! Not that size was everything, he was quick to reassure himself.
