Hey, I know! Let's do a thread where Skepty keeps everyone up to date with all the games he's currently invested in.
Let's start out with:
One Finger Death Punch 2Playing on: Steam
You hip, young millennials might not remember this, but the internet circa fifteen years ago was full of flash-animated stick figures beating each other up in increasingly creative and violent ways. It was pretty great.
One Finger Death Punch took that genre, filtered it heavily through an honest love of bad kung-fu movies, and packaged it in one easy-to-play format. Seriously, there are only two buttons: you can punch left, or you can punch right. Might sound simplistic, but the constant onslaught of mooks makes for an addictive, frantic, and almost rhythmic experience, especially at higher difficulties.
The sequel is largely the same game, but with better animations and even more carnage. Tweaks made to the gameplay are hit-or-miss with me, but the ones I don't care for don't make the game less enjoyable to play. I also have to praise the adaptive difficulty of this one; it quickly recognized that I was a OFDP veteran, and raised the difficulty to my level while I was still doing the training fights.
Also there's lightsabers.
