[Duel] Let's do this [Nar'Quesse x Kek’tu]

Someone was on the horizon. The black and tan male lifted himself off his stomach and gave himself a great shake, dust and sand and grinned. He hadn't seen action in quite some time. He was a large male, pretty normal for his pride, but he was several generations deep. Rogues had nothing on his muscle mass and weight.

So he let out a warning roar, kicking sand up with his back legs before he charged. It wasn't blind. He was going to roll at any attack this rogue had.

"If you want through, you have to get through me!"

He was wandering for days trying to find this place. His paws burned. His eyes burned. Hell his tongue burned against the roof of his mouth. He was not going to complain. He was going to have to get used to this climate, if he was going to be one of them.

When he did spot the stranger, it seemed it was common thing to attack new comers immediately. No discussion really. Which was fine... he didn’t want to waste his energy.

“Sounds like a plan.”

The other didn't back down from his charge, so he growled and skid. If anything the other would get sand in his eyes but no harm done to him.

Nar'Quesse wasn't uneasy per say... He just wasn't used to others not dodging. He growled hard and stood there, away from the stranger, red eyes glowering down at him. Maybe he could intimidate the other into backing down. It wouldn't be as fun, but whatever worked on the weak.

"What business do you have here?" The snarl came through behind a thick growl.

Kek did his best but found his attack was not as strong as he hoped. He narrowed his eyes in frustration. He hadn’t belong in his old pride, he wanted to... no NEEDED to belong somewhere. He felt his frustration begin to bubble in his chest.

“I desire a home... where I belong.”

He blinked back his own emotions and pushed forward, swinging his dark paws as swiftly as he could. He hadn’t really fought anyone like this before... but he was willing to try again and again if he had. Too.

It seemed like this other lion wasn't sure what he was doing. His paws swung, but nothing connected with the Firekin male. So he continued to stare and growl. Did someone like this really think they belonged here?

"You're worse than a cub!"

He was making no attack right now.

He wouldn’t let this stranger intimidate him. He simply smirked and lunged and felt his claws make contact but didn’t feel them bite into the flesh. He wasn’t super proud of himself for that but at least he had hit regardless.

“You must not have a lot of experience with cubs...” he snarled.

His claws made zero contact to hurt Nar'Quesse, so the large male just used his body to shove the other one away, growling low in his throat. This male honestly wasn't worth his time. This fight was getting the Firekin male completely bored.

"Says the one who didn't hurt me at all when he had the chance. You have one more move."

so far this male was being insulting for no reason. They both were doing a pretty piss poor job of hurting one another. He didn’t bother to reply to the male and simply swung again and felt himself strike.. though damage was not much.

Now he was getting on his own nerves for this really pathetic attempt in getting in this pride.

No... he deserved to be here. He didn’t have demons inside him... he had fire.
