Astrid stood still, the winds had picked up and the clouds had gotten so dark that he had been fearful of even attempting to continue his journey. Standing closely beside him, Satinka stared wearily at the clouds in the sky, her fur thrashing about as the wind whipped across them without direction nor mercy. The siblings had been told they were close to the swamps that were home to the artist Seiki, where they would hopefully also run into Astrid’s missing mother, Hesper. Casp and Midas had been a few feet behind the two siblings, having a conversation that neither sibling could hear nor cared to eavesdrop in on. The party was starting to grow tired of each other and it was growing more and more apparent that space was desperately needed between them. Feet were sore, egos bruises and bodies hungry, never a great combination when having to constantly stick together. Catching up to the group, Casp and Midas also came to a halt, the tall grass and trees were being yanked about violently offer no welcoming. Standing in silence, the entire group was in awe as lights danced across the sky and light glittered overhead. “It almost feels like it should be night time right now.” Casp was whispering, as though his voice would wake the wrath of whatever was above them. Midas’ ears swiveled and a simple nod came as a reply. Astrid and Satinka remained silent, both of the siblings’ hearts were beating much faster than normal and their breath was short and shallow. Every fiber of their being told them to run. Run like hell. Yet they stayed put, continuing to watch as the sky duked it out. Midas stepped forward, into the grass a bit as it was nearly yanked from the ground it grew. He hadn’t seen anything like this ever, yet he somehow understood he was powerless to it. “We need to find cover.” The whole party grunted in agreement, however there was just one issue, where? Quote: 1. Small rocks fall from the sky! Each character must roll a 1d4. 1.You get hit right on the head and are knocked unconscious! You'll be left with a gash at the very least, if not a cracked skull. 2.You take a direct hit, but at least it's not to the head! The rock leaves a good gash, and could crack bone depending on where it hit. 3.Just a glancing blow, you get by with barely a scratch. 4.Today's your lucky day, and you're not hit at all.

(Die 1 is Bani (lion); Die 2 is Idun (lioness)) "The skies have been alight with activity, Uncle."
The voice faded as the entranced lioness stood still with eyes turned up towards the sky. She hadn't spoke for quite some time until that point and her Uncle very nearly began to worry. Had she fallen behind? It hadn't been like he was watching her closely - the trip was her choice after all. "Don't you want to know why?" Her tone became puzzled and annoyed that he hadn't stopped, not for a moment.
"Uncle!"
That got his attention. "No, Idun. The truth is what happens in the skies are for the Gods to worry about. They have their family and we have ours." Bani's nose furrowed at the sheer thought of pausing for her childish interests. His eyes were narrowed and her usually needless begging ceased completely. "I didn't bring you out here to whine, nor to beg. You are an adult, a full grown lioness - act like one."
The skies seemed to take sides, or perhaps the Gods. Idun returned her gaze towards the sky much to her Uncles not so discreet dismay. He was baffled at how willing she was to disobey her direct senior, but he also knew his sister. This was Mai's work, independence was one thing, but Idunn had a new level of speaking her mind or doing her own thing.
"Gods be damned!"
The shout shook Idun to her core, her Uncle even more so. "Uncle?" Her words were soft spoken and told a clear story of obedience should he not make a sound like that again. Her eyes were no longer on the sky, but now fell on Bani. There had been debris that she was sure had been a figment of her imagination - that was until it collided with her Uncle. "Are you alright?" It had been a close call, nothing major, she could see that from the distinct lack of oozing blood. Her Uncle would pay for his reaction to her, the world was telling her this. Even if she was being unreasonable at times.
"I'm fine, I'm fine..." Bani's eyes were wide with surprise, and heart ready to beat out of his chest, but he managed to remain composed otherwise. The contents of his stomach stayed squarely where they were supposed too and his satchel was still done up. "Are you alright - oh, of course you manage to remain unscathed." He nearly rolled his eyes, what would it take to strike her down?
"Idun."
The name was commanded in a hush tone, the no nonsense kind that Bani had stressed would be the one time she listened. And so she did. Idun crouched almost immediately (forgetting that they basically glowed in their current terrain) and awaited his direction.
"Did you see that?" She asked him.
Bani had, but not just that. He saw them.

Where indeed.
The Viking group hadn’t even a moment to think when the rocks started pelting from the sky cracking down hard on the earth’s floor. Midas and Casp both tensed, they had been through this and had nearly lost a few allies to a similar storm.
Staring at each other in horror, both were unable to think of a solid plan other than to run for it, however the Gods had thought better of the idea. They had only gotten as far as few feet from the group when each lion received a solid crack from a large rock. The force knocking them completely cold while the siblings stared, stunned.
“Aaaaaaah!” Satinka couldn’t speak, only squeaking as she pointed at the two lions, her body shaking as tears filled her eyes.
With Midas the blood was almost immediate to spot, the crimson pool staining his golden mane; Casp, however, was harder to tell his dark features hiding the damage done. Both bodies were still, however it seemed that they were still breathing.
“Satinka, stay there.” The dark starry lion gritted his teeth and moved forward into the tall grass, strands whipping wildly, smacking him in the eye. Wincing, he paused for a moment, catching a stone to the shoulder. <********!” Tensing, he could feel his torn skin sting from the open air, however he attempted to ignore it.
-THUMP- A vibration was felt under his paws with the sound, causing him to turn around. His sister had be hit, she too seemingly unconscious, several bloody marks on her body and one on the head.
“No no no no no!!!” Astrid stood in place, his head spinning- He had to get to the captain of the group and get help, but in order to do that he’d have to leave his families bodies. Feeling his mind swimming, he eyes crossed as his vision blurred. The rest of the viking group was only a short distance away. Perhaps a mile… His paws were trembling but he knew what to do.
Opening his mouth, Astrid attempted a strong roar to call for help, and let out a squeak- His nerves had gotten the best of him.

Bani was immediately thankful for the distance he and Idun shared from the group. Before they could react or seek a way out he noticed the first small 'pebble'.. then another. And before he knew it the group was under fire like the skies had opened up and let the stars rain down.
"Idun, what the hell are you doing?" He hissed at the lioness as she started towards the group. She looked back at him with narrowed eyes filled with a strange determination. He recognized it almost immediately as a respect for all kinds. Those who were essentially under attack needed help and she would provide. Though he still hesitated to follow he eventually did and it was just as the last rocks fell that they were upon them.
Idun arrived on the scene first, she had barely heard the cries, but caught a name? Satinka was the name of the fallen lioness. The entire group was ghastly in their appearances as she caught a closer look. Blood splattered in varying directions based on the impact of the skies ammunition. She was trying to keep her shocked expressions to a minimum while assesing, but truthfully this was way out of her league. Fortunately her Uncle wasn't far behind and he too began to assess. "Idun." His voice snapped her out of whatever trance had overcome her and she gave a quick jerk of her head, nodding.
"These ones are alive, but not in quite as good of condition as that one there." Her tone grew cold, calculating. She had to have this side of her as she grew into her role. "Excuse me." She began to move towards the clearly frazzled male that was standing, with his mouth agape, in what appeared to be a silent roar. The sound that came out was anything, but manly and in other situations she might have allowed herself to laugh. Now was not one of those situations and so she drew closer, quietly.
Bani watched silently as his niece approached the lion with slight awe. His stomach clenched harshly as his mind ran through the numerous possibilities. They hadn't intended to come across a group, perhaps even a band? He shuddered at the thought of dealing with those uncivilized creatures and wondered how it was possible that his brother could have gotten himself mixed up in that - if he did.
