O W L Exams

xxxxx⇾Astronomy - EE
Joellen rather liked Astronomy, between learning the stars and planets, to simply feeling at peace in the universe. The class held her attention long enough to study, but she still mixed up a few of the facts on her exams.

xxxxx⇾Charms - O
Charms turned out to be one of Joellen's best classes. She worked hard, but didn't particularly need to. Magic in the class came naturally to her, but her studies gave her the boost she needed to excel and score top marks in the class.

xxxxx⇾Defence Against the Dark Arts - EE
Thanks to her family, Joellen is pretty good when it comes to defensive magic. She took to the study as a way to protect herself and her family, and her hard work was rewarded. She didn't get perfect marks, but she got pretty close to them.

xxxxx⇾Herbology - A
Herbology wasn't one of Joellen's favorites, as she's never particularly liked getting her hands dirty. She did like learning about plants, but she wasn't particularly good at handling them, which was the detriment in her exam.

xxxxx⇾History of Magic - P
Joellen has never been one much for History. In fact, if there are any studies she particularly hates, History marks the top of the list. She got some of the more common sense questions correct, but anything beyond that, she really didn't care enough to study.

xxxxx⇾Potions - O
Potions is a fun class for Joellen, partially because she likes to work with her hands, partially because it's interesting. She worked hard and studied harder, proving her dedication with a flawless grade.

xxxxx⇾Transfiguration - O
Another class Joellen found ease in is Transfiguration. She liked learning all the interesting and unique spells, despite some of them being a bit tricky. Luckily, her heard work paid off, getting excellent grades on the OWL.

xxxxx⇾Alchemy - A
Alchemy proved itself tricky for Joellen, but she did give it her all. Unfortunately, the class was harder than planned and her grade showed it. She passed, but a lot lower than she'd have liked.

xxxxx⇾Arithmancy - EE
Arithmancy was fun for Joellen, the math providing an outlet for logical thought. Her normally creative paths struggled a bit, but she made up for it with studying hard. Luckily, she passed with a pretty good grade, even though it wasn't perfect.

xxxxx⇾Cursebreaking - O
Cursebreaking was hard for Joellen, but she had to admit she had a certain knack for the study. Despite the difficulties she discovered, she worked extra hard to make a good grade, though she was surprised how well she did.

xxxxx⇾Divination - P
Who knew Divination was best served for Seers? Not Joellen. Luckily, she does now. She tried her best amid star charts and horoscope graphs, but ended up with a high fail in the class overall.

xxxxx⇾Healing Class - EE
Healing was one Joellen had decided to take for personal reasons, and because of those very same reasons, she worked hard in the class. She turned out to be a decent Healer, anyway. After months of studying, she passed, losing marks on only small errors.

xxxxx⇾Mythology - O
Mythology was a fun one for Joellen, and given that she grew up with tales about myths, both muggle and magic, she did really well in the class.

xxxxx⇾Study of Ancient Runes - O
Runes was a bit confusing at first, but once Joellen figured out the basics, she ended up doing really well in the class. She was proud as hell of her grade, as she'd worked hard to get it.

xxxxx⇾Wandless Magic Practice - EE
For Wandless, Joellen credits her "uncle" Jer. He is a master at the craft, and she learned several of his tricks. It helped that she practiced a lot too.

N E W T Exams

xxxxx⇾Astronomy - A
Despite Jo's like of the class, Astronomy took a backburner to the classes she needed for her future career options. She did her best, but ultimately her lack of careful studying came back for her.

xxxxx⇾Charms - O
Jo has always been adept at charms, and the NEWT level class was no exception. It took extra studying, but she figured it out.

xxxxx⇾Defence Against the Dark Arts - O
Defense was a bit harder for Jo, but she put in extra study time to try and combat her weaknesses in the subject. Luckily for her, they paid off.

xxxxx⇾Potions - EE
While she'd excelled at OWL level potions, Jo found the advanced course to be quite a bit harder. Good thing she has lots of family that were able to help with study advice. It led to her only missing a bit and scoring a good grade.

xxxxx⇾Transfiguration - O
Yet again, Jo was able to prove her skill in Transfiguration. It took a lot of hard work, but she managed to grab a flawless grade.



xxxxx⇾Arithmancy - EE
Arithmancy was tricky again, but Jo managed to get a good grade with a bit of help from friends and classmates.

xxxxx⇾Cursebreaking - O
Cursebreaking turned out to be Jo's breakaway favorite class. She excelled at the coursework and trusted her gut enough to glean a perfect score.

xxxxx⇾Healing Class - A
Despite her best efforts, Healing was a bit tricky for Jo. She knows enough to help out, but she'd still vastly prefer to leave it up to someone better than her.

xxxxx⇾Muggle Studies - O
Jo lives in a muggle-y enough environment that she was able to ace the NEWT without having actually taken the class.

xxxxx⇾Mythology - EE
Mythology was fun for Jo, and she treated the class as such. Some of the studying got pushed behind classes she deemed "more vital," but her preexisting knowledge helped her get a really good grade anyway.

xxxxx⇾Study of Ancient Runes - EE
Runes was a fun one for Jo, and she enjoyed learning the intricacies of the language. It fascinated her, but she ended up messing up just enough to drop her down a letter.

xxxxx⇾Wandless Magic Practice - O
Jo did really good at Wandless with thanks to the hours of practice she poured into it. Thankfully, it paid off with top marks.
