She was swollen with cubs and constantly in a state of complete uncomfort. She couldn't fly, couldn't really walk, was having a difficult time hunting. Ninati wasn't dealing with being pregnant and all alone.

Where did Tuu go? The other lioness seemed like she was going to be here during everything. It had been like she'd wanted to really take care of her. Ninati woke up alone now. She had been for a few days and it wasn't sitting well with her frayed nerves.

Deep in her heart, Ninati knew leaving the Stormborn was the best thing for her children. There was a state of unrest and change that didn't sit well with her or her instincts, and so she'd fled. But now she was wondering if it was too late to seek a pride for some kind of protection during the most vulnerable times ahead of her. Being alone wasn't something the goddess had really experienced until now. Her life had been fortunate to always have someone around her.

She wandered toward the coast, not knowing what else to do. There had to be something to eat somewhere along the coast. At this point the pregnant female would happily scavenge.

"C'mon," she panted out, having to stop and take a moment to catch her breath. "Uuuugh. I hate this."

It was such a pity that her desires came to fruition just as family was discovered in the neighboring pride, but it seemed that even this news couldn't temper things. "You're sure this what you want to do?" Krisis had packed some dried meats and various fish for the second daughter to venture out on her own. "I'll come with you, just for a little while at least, the extent of your travel didn't go so well." The goddess cast her gaze towards a few missing patches of fur that scattered her daughters body. The fur had finally begun to grow back, but it was still very noticeable.

"Fine." Aur-iel knew the tone and decided it was better not to battle the decision. "Only if you can swear that you won't follow me forever." She pleaded with her mother and got a partial shrug accompanied with a dramatic eye roll.

"When did you cubs get to cool for me?" Her eyes seemed to maintain an endless eyeroll as the pair prepared to leave their home. Neither knew what they would be in store for, but Aur was ready to face it while Krisis shuddered at the thought and sent thoughts to the gods to have an uneventful adventure - perhaps Aur would think it was too boring out there and return home?

Krisis wasn't a fool. The blood her daughter had flowing through her veins was enough to tell her she may not see her daughter for some time, but that she would always come home. Tethys always went home. Or that is what she told herself.

"You ready?" Krisis asked politely, but in a short tone. To which she received a smile and nod. "You could at least pretend to not be excited about leaving your family and home." Another eyeroll.

"What do you expect from me, Mum?" Aur remarked as they headed for the border. "Tears?" She nearly burst out laughing, tears were her mothers trade mark. A knee jerk reaction to usually try and manipulate those present. Aur hadn't done that, not yet, and she certainly wasn't going to begin now.

---

Leaving the pride was uneventful, much to Krisis' delight, but not to Aur's. The pride hadn't always known peaceful times and she had seen what that had done - a piece of her wept for the loss of a safe feeling within her own borders. It wasn't going to be that way forever, she knew that, history told her of the prides strength. This would always be home for her.

They hadn't traveled long before Aur complained of hunger. "You remembered the food?" She queried in a mock urgent tone as Krisis dug through a satchel she adorned. "Of course I did, daughter." Krisis remarked with as much snark as she could muster against her own child. They were a sight to behold - drama and all.

"Wait..." Aur paused in her step and Krisis did the same. "Did you hear that? Aur-iel was the curious type while Krisis puffed up. Without hesitation Aur left her mothers side and continued forward to seek out the sounds - no, voices - that could be heard in the distance. Krisis followed shortly after, but mumbled aggressively under her breath about safety and such.

"Ninati?" Krisis spoke the name in a shocked tone as she peered at what could only be the back of her sister. The unique patterns and bows marked her as such alone. Giving a quick sniff to the air only cemented things for the goddess. She left Aur behind as she made her way to her sister - leaving Aur as confused as she had been from the start - who the hell is Ninati?

She hadn't actually heard the pair coming over her own discontent and self loathing going on in her head. Ninati was seriously struggling with coming to terms that she was alone. That she had no idea how to raise cubs, and yet she'd have to figure it out alone. Where was Tuu? Where did she even go? She sniffled as the tears burned her eyes and she let them roll down her cheeks.

Then she suddenly heard her name, and the goddess couldn't help the sob that came from her. It was like a floodgate of emotion had opened and it was just time for a breakdown.

"Kr..Kr-Krisis..." She wailed, turning herself to show off just how swollen her stomach was. "Wh-what are you doing here?"
