After returning home from a successful hunt, dropping off the kill and withdrawing from her fellow abazingeli, Toboa was beat. The day was hot, the sun was relentless, and the hunt had been challenging. Now, all she wanted to do was take a nap, but first, she needed to worry about cleaning the blood off of her pelt and getting a drink.

She headed over to the waterhole and drank deeply from the cool water. Having satisfied her thirst, she then settled down and got busy grooming - face, paws, throat. As she was scouring away the sticky crimson from her usually white chest, she caught sight of a lion from the corner of her eye. Looking up, she recognized one of the Abaholi, Ahlaq. They hadn't spoken much and she wasn't totally sure he knew who she was, but of course, she knew who he was. Abandoning her washing for the time being, she rose and trotted over happily.

"Hey Ahlaq! How are you doing today?"
