[DUEL] Arwa/??

She had this, she had this... Ever since she and her brother had heard about the Outlands as cubs, and their story, they had wanted to join. They'd been held up, though, by family and taking care of their aging parents. She'd all but rejoiced when they had died... Though more so at their new-found freedom than the fact her parents were dead. That had been sad, even if it meant their suffering was over. Okay, that's something else she had rejoiced about... But still. Here she now was, accepted in as an Unbranded. Untested, unknown... And so very very gold, wow, there weren't a lot of gold lions around, were there? She really popped out...

She had to focus, all but bouncing with energy as she approached where she would be dueling her opponent. Were they there yet? Was she late, or was she early? She was eager!

Kutu was not in the best of moods. Then again, he didn't remember the last time he was actually in a good one. He had a lot on his mind as usual, none of it positive. To make matters worse, he was groggy. Another near sleepless night. He was tired in more ways than one. He wanted to sleep. He wanted to stop thinking. He wanted everything to stop.

With a snarling yawn, the male skulked closer and closer to the predetermined dueling spot. It wasn't his style to plan things like this--he was more of an in-the-moment kind of male. No, he was just a fill-in for someone who had canceled. Who let a little vomiting stop themselves from dueling a potential new Outlander? It was kind of pathetic. Then again, Kutu wished he'd been able to use the same excuse so he'd been able to get out of it, too. But no, he had to be here today. This was gonna be fun...he was just...so thrilled...to be dueling at this time of morning. Eyes half-lidded with a bitter-looking sleepiness, Kutu glowered about locate the lioness he'd been told about.

There. He spotted her almost instantly, not that it was hard to. Damn, she looked jittery...

"Hey," Kutu called, stopping several paces away. He shook out his dusty mane in an attempt to wake himself a bit more, but it didn't offer him much success. "You ready?" he asked.
