	A familiar scent had hit her nose and she quickly approached the border with some pep in her step. It was the male she had met not long ago and then of course beat twice. She had to say, the fact he kept coming back for more was alluring. "I see I haven't scared you off yet, that's good." She secretly liked him and she hoped he won, if not against her against someone. "I hope you brought your A game today." With that she charged the dark male and gave him a wicked grin. She hoped he was able to pull through, but she was feeling quite feisty today so she wasn't sure how it would go.

	Again? A part of Jarujan was immediately anxious as he saw the familiar lioness with her streaks of blue although he would have been lying if he'd said that he wasn't also a little glad. It wasn't just that she was pretty, or strong, but also that he was hoping all this training would pay out - he would have taken a victory over anyone but if it was her, the lioness who continued to best him, then perhaps it would mean a little more to win. As she settled and charged, he dug his paws into the sand as firmly as he could and waited, letting himself absorb whatever blow she threw at him - after all, he knew that nothing she did would be half-assed. All or nothing, he was sure that was the Firekin way. He countered as she was in range and took a hard swing at her head, hoping that it might at least throw her off balance.

	She was glad he kept coming back and that she was the one to challenge him, he slowly kept getting better and more sure of himself on the sands and she could see his improvements with each battle they shared between one another. He matched her paws with a force of his own that sent her off balance slightly and she did her best to get some good footing to turn and face him with another hit but came up empty pawed. Perhaps he might prevail during this challenge.

	It was impossible to help the small smirk that pulled at his jowls as he did exactly what he had intended - his blow landed and she was struck so suddenly either by the force or the surprise (he didn't know which) that she stumbled. If he had been more clever, he would have advanced and taken advantage of the moment but he didn't. Instead, he back away and half-circled her, finding his grip in the sands and trying to make sure that he was maintaining the upper paw. He knew that if they began trading blows too quickly she would be at the advantage; these firekins always seemed to outperform rogues when they were on their home turf. Not many lions grew up fighting in the sands, after all.

	She watched as he circled her and flicked her tail behind her in a sharp motion before charging at him in a slide to try and perhaps knock him on the ground, though her movements came up short and she only ended up with a glancing blow, which was fine. Perhaps it would cause him to back step so she could get a better shot at him given how close she was, though given her current position he was in a fine spot to get a good hit.

	There, an opening. As her blow glanced off of him, he ducked low and countered, letting him swipe at her lower legs. He wanted her to fall off balance so that he could continue to dominate this spar - he just needed to be slow and steady, slow and steady. At the very least, from all this battling and training in the sands, he was leaner and more in shape than he had been at any point in his life. Maybe other lions would have given up by now but he could not give up on this or it would eat at him for the rest of his life. If there was only one thing he shared with his father, it was conviction.

	While his blow was solid and caused her to collapse and marked as a good hit, it left him in a position in which she was able to grab at him in a very firm manner with her front paws. Reaching out for his chest she aimed to grab him and roll him to the side, taking him to the ground with her.

	He grimaced as she caught him and for a moment he stood there, in shock, knowing that he had made a fatal error - he was letting his ego get the best of him now. Damn it! He had no choice but to roll to the ground as she shifted all her weight into dragging him down but at the very least, as his shoulder collided into the sand, he managed to free himself from her grip and kicked away - both at her and the ground so that a flurry of golden grains clouded the air with his motions.

	Her ploy had worked and she had successfully managed to take him down with her, though that didn't mean anything. He had gotten much better than their last two duels and she was starting to feel the strain in her muscles from having to actually exert herself during this particular spar. This was her last chance to make a mark on him and she wasn't about to show a sign of weakness so she did her best to regain her footing and reached out in one last hope to make a hit upon his flank. Success, she managed a small final strike, even if it wasn't as hard as her previous ones.

	The quick decision to separate himself from her before he tried to stand was, perhaps, his only saving grace. He felt the glancing blow to his hindquarter as he put his feet beneath him but it was not enough to throw him back down into the dunes. He turned on her, quick and sudden, and sprang forward in one last final do or die moment - he wasn't aiming to hit her. No, this time he threw all of his weight behind the pounce and intended to sink her onto her back in the sands, snapping (not quite) at her neck as he felt her form crumple beneath his. His chest was heaving but as he loomed over her there was a proud shine in his eyes and his smirk was back, plastered neatly into place. "I think I win."

	His weight upon her as she looked up at his victorious form brought a smile to her face. "It's about time." She said with just as much pride in her eyes, reflecting that plastered upon his face. "I welcome you into the lands of the Moutoujamii. I believe you'll prosper well here." Looking at him she gave a small push, "If you let me up I can show you the way."

	Was she pleased with him, or was he just imagining it? "Oh, sorry," he mumbled through an apology and stepped back so that his weight was no longer pinning her to the sands beneath her bones. He took a moment to shake out his mane, sending particles flying through the air in all directions though honestly, it was mostly just a clever ploy to gain himself a moment or two to breathe and compose himself. After all, he had been waiting for this moment for a very long time. "Alright," he said at last, bringing his eyes back up to meet hers, "lead the way."
