Tears in her eyes, Aiysha stalked through some tall grass with nothing short of a scowl on her face. She was leaving her pride, not even entirely certain why she was mad, but knowing that she was mad enough to leave for good. It was just as well, the pride was falling apart anyway.

With a sigh, the adolescent thought back to her family, before shaking her head. They would be fine without her. Perhaps even better than before. They would need to be, to survive the breaking up of their pride.

So into her thoughts as she was, Aiysha didn't even notice the once clear skies suddenly taking a dark turn. Anyone else nearby would have though.

These days were filled with wonder. If it wasn't the famine in his pride, it was the strange lights in the sky. If it wasn't the lights, it was the disembodied sounds that echoed across the lands.

Now, it seemed the Gods were not happy. The clear skies were quick to turn dark, a strange phenomenon Ciro was not use to in all his years. He shook his head, golden eyes watching the sky, before he spotted something that seemed to shine against the darkening clouds just near the horizon.

The Stormborn Captain hummed. She looked rather young. What was she doing out here by herself, with this strange looming storm? Best if she found shelter.

The dark lion headed in her direction. he was intent on finding out her story.

She gave a huff and licked at her chest fur in agitation. She would find a better home, she decided. Somewhere she could prove herself a capable lioness, maybe get to see the world while she was at it.

As she pulled her head back up, Aiysha froze as she finally realized that the world seemed... darker than just a second ago. When had that happened? And come to think of it, something dark was heading right for her as well. Eyes narrowing, Aiysha crouched down and practically hissed at the approaching male.

"What do you want?" she spat, ears pulled back and fur bristling on her neck.

Sorry, she's a little hostile right now. xD;;

Ciro ihas...never interacted with an adolescent rogue female before. This should be interesting....XD

Oh. Hostile little youth wasn't she? She'd fit in perfectly in his pride.

The hissed didn't intimidate him though. Rather, he felt himself smirking in amusement. "Cute kid. Cool it though." He said, sitting before the lighter female. He meant no harm. Ciro probably had one of the furthest mindsets for a typical stormborn Captain.

"It's not usual to see one of your age by yourself out here. And with this ominous storm approaching, I am more compelled to find out why you are here alone." Ciro shrugged. "So drop the attitude. Unless it's a fight you want," Ciro stood, now approaching dangerously close to the adolescent. "I am sure it is something I can take on." Through an unfair advantage. Maybe the kid would just call his bluff.

Aiysha's lip pulled back at his words, teenage aggression showing itself in the face of being told to "drop the attitude", but she did glance a bit uncertainly up at the sky. Was it just her, or was it somehow even darker than it had been? And suddenly colder too....

Shaking her head, she turned her green eyes back to him and spat, "What does it matter to you? I'm just walking, like every other rogue...." That last part brought a few tears to her eyes, still a little sore over the fact, but too determined to keep moving than to go back, despite the threat of storm.

"It's not like I have a home to return to anyway," she said bitterly, head snapping away.

Ciro observed the female as she spoke. His eyes narrowed when mentioned 'like every other rogue'. Somehow he didn't believe her statement. The small tears that seemed to dwell in her eyes confirmed this thought of his. Hmm.

"Ah. A homeless kid." Ciro tsked slightly, approaching the smaller female. He didn't care if she would lash out. What damage could a child really do?

"You have a lot of spunk, that's for sure. Perhaps if you don't have a home to go to, you find a new one. I know of one that might be befitting of that attitude of yours. Or..." Ciro said thoughtfully, "...could get you killed. But so could the lands out here." At the end of his words, a small drizzle started, with a gust of cooler wind.

What strange weather this was.

She let out a snort, turning her full attention to him as he approached and no longer paying any mind to the weather. What was the worst that could happen? Bad weather came and went.

Instead, the pink and white lioness narrowed her eyes back at him and then shrugged, "I guess. I've never... been outside of my pride before." And maybe that worried her a bit. How did you live as a rogue? She wasn't sure. He probably had a point about finding a new home, but... how did you choose the right one? She clucked her tongue, "And what 'home' would that b-"

That was when Aiysha discovered just how quickly a storm could pick up, though she had no way of knowing that a sudden, flash hailstorm wasn't normal around here.

She yelped as ice pelted down at them, curling inwards and raising her paws up to cover her head. "What's going on?!"

Ciro's ears flickered on his head, hiding in his silver mane. He was about the answer when she was abruptly cut off, a small piece of ice pelted her, before another ha hit him too.

What in the world?

In the (very near) distance, it looked like rain. But the sound of hard thuds hitting the ground was a clear indication that it most definitely not, but more hail, coming straight for them.

Ciro's golden eyes widened as his gaze flickered towards the treeline. "RUN." He growled, his head motioning in the direction of the coverage. They could hide under the protection of the trees until the sudden storm ended. Hopefully, it wouldn't be long.

Aiysha's ears were plastered against her head as she whined, her teenage bravado balking at the ice falling from the sky.

Panicked as she was though, she still heard the other lion's growl, and opted to waste no more time. Just barely catching the motion of his head, the young lioness bolted for the trees. Paws thudding against the ground, she wasn't quite fast enough to avoid being hit by hail, and she practically dove through the air as she got close, almost crashing into a tree on her way.

Gasping, but thankfully not getting hit anymore, Aiysha huddled up against the trunk of the tree, barely noticing the black male following next to her.

Last for Ciro. Poor dude.

Maybe if Ciro was younger, or still in his reaver days he would have brushed quickly past the adolescent, opting to help only himself and no one else. Maybe it was him being a father, and the need to protect a child (albeit, not his own), pulling at his heartstrings. Whatever the case may have been, Ciro found himself trailing the younger lioness, making sure she made it to safety before him.

Unfortunately, he didn’t see that. A rather large chunk of hail plummeted to the earth. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time, as the piece of ice hit him in the head. The lion found himself crashing to the ground, but his vision blacked before he reached it. The offending debris lay nearby.

He was out cold.

Gasping as she was, the lioness crouched low to the ground and seemed to curl further into herself as she tried to regain her barrings. As the world came back into focus, her brow furrowed as she finally spotted the other male just barely outside of cover, unmoving and unresponsive when she tried calling out.

'Great,' she thought as she bit at her lip. She debated just leaving him there - she didn't even know him, after all - but with a groan, she lunged forward to grab at the fur on his neck and then dragged him into the shelter as quickly as she could. There, he wouldn't get hit anymore, and she could walk away with a clear conscious.

With a nod, Aiysha huddled against the tree trunk and waited for the weirdness to hopefully pass. She'd take the first moment to run after that. She wanted nothing to do with a place that rained ice!

KasaiLoki
Oh, geez. XD;; Poor Ciro! She won't stick around once the hail stops, so last for Aiysha too~
