The club room comes with what the supernatural club needs, from books on the occult and more!

➤ Information

• Club Description: This club is to research different myths/rumors and discover any hidden truths. Basically, it's more of an adventure club based on rumors or supernatural happenings. Students will come together to discover the true story, and also learn the basic skills needed to tell the difference between "false truths" and "real truths".
  
  • Place where myths, mysteries, and other rumors are investigated
    
  • Research about certain supernatural or mythical elements, and learn about how to tell fake from real
    
  • Investigates stories or rumors that pop up from students or teachers that have been going around the school, and try to figure out the truth behind why those stories or rumors were started. Also to see if they're really are true.
    
  • Help grow communication skills, detective skills, and skills needed to take multiple pieces of a puzzle, and put them together to solve a mystery or rumor
    
  • Have one trip a semester to explore areas outside the school. Of course the academy will have the final say on where the club members actually get to go
    
  • Have small adventures around the campus in order to investigate areas of interest, as well as to find out about any interesting rumors from other students
    
  • Also have a request box for students and teachers to use if they want a rumor or mystery solved
• Club Goal: Goal is to gain the skills necessary to investigate and research about certain myths or rumors. It's also to figure out the mysteries that pop up around the school, and to investigate them further to find out the real truth

Skylar stretched her arms, as she made her way through the hallways. Apparently there was some sort of Halloween event going on. As much as Skylar didn't particularly have any interest in it, she almost didn't dress up. However, she was supposed to be going to her own club room for the festival. As such, she supposed that she would have to dress accordingly. She looked down at her own clothing, sighing again. She was lucky to have an outfit from her aunt. Skylar didn't know how her aunt managed to sneak it into her luggage, but she did that and more. She even slipped in some Christmas clothing and other stylish outfits into her luggage.

Another sigh left her mouth, and she ran a hand through her hair before turning the corner and making in to the club room. Ace flew silently by her side, and Saphera curled around her neck comfortably. The little Alolan Vulpix had grown oddly attached to Skylar over the break, not that it wasn't the same for Skylar herself and her own pokemon. While her Axew was the baby of the family, Saphera acted like she was the baby most of the time.

Once she reached the door, she slowly opened it and proceeded to walk in. Skylar rolled her eyes as Maria chirped out that she looked so adorable, and that she should take photos "Absolutely NOT" she hissed, crossing her arms. Maria pouted at that, but didn't press any further. Skylar moved towards the table with the fliers for the club. Skylar didn't have any particular motivation to actively seek out new members. After all more members meant more people she had to baby sit. If they truly were interested in joining, they'd come on their own.

With that all done, Skylar simply sat down and crossed her legs as she waited for anyone to come into the clubroom. However, Skylar highly doubted anyone would be coming. Still it was her job as president to be present regardless. She'd just wait and see what happened for now.

Naomi walked the hallway as the trinkets on her costume and staff jingled. The floppy hat would sometime obscure her view but otherwise she was very convincing witch. Benny and Viola followed Naomi, wearing a witch's hat as well. Naomi thought about the other day when they finally made to the library, only to return back to the school with an escort and scolding. She left feeling bad but also with a list of books she would have to look for... as well as someone....

Now today was a new day, a special day as everyone was getting dressed up for Spirit Day as well as walking around to look for clubs to join. Naomi honestly couldn't think of a club to join as she wandered around. There wasn't a literary club which was a bummer. She sighed as she stretched out her arms. She needed to join at least one club to be in accordance with the school. She decided that the first club she saw on this floor she would take a look at. No matter what...

She should have been on another floor...Just saying.

"Supernatural...club?" Naomi tilted her head before looking at her pokemon. "I'm sure there are interesting things that can be done. Imagine all the books we could read...Let's check it out."

Naomi opened the door. "Hello," she said to make herself known. "I think this is the supernatural club...and I'm..." Naomi looked at the girl that was in the room. She was dressed up as a zombie with stitches across her face and arms. Naomi stared at the zombie for a moment. "Cool costume...." she said before she back on topic. "Uh..Hi...I'm interested in the joining the supernatural club. My name is Naomi and these are Benny and Viola. Are you joining as well?"

The little pokemon stood behind Naomi, waving to the girl.

Skylar hadn't seen anyone coming in for the last hour, and so she decided it couldn't hurt to read in the mean time right? So she got up and slowly made her way over to the bookcase that was located towards the back of the room. Her fingers lightly skimmed the books before stopping at particular one towards the far end of the shelf. She pursed her lips and pulled it out before studying it. She has some how come into the possession of this mysterious book and hadn't really bothered to look at it... until now. Perhaps she could read a little bit of it? It couldn't hurt right?

However, as she opened the book she blinked. What... what was with this book? She squinted her eyes, staring at the pages. This book... what language was it in?! She couldn't read this, or at least she didn't think she could... not yet anyways. Well she'd have to look into this book further when she had some more free time during the school year. Skylar closed the book with a huff, not noticing how Maria seemed silent the whole time as she stared at the book in her hands. Skylar decided to take the book with her, no point in leaving it in here were others could see it.

She quickly grabbed another book off the shelf, before walking back to her seat and placing the first book into her bag. She then crossed her legs and opened the random book she'd chosen. It seemed interesting, it contained some theories about some pokemon that lurked in the shadows. She read on, before she finished the passage and was then introduced to another legend. Her eyes scanned the page, her curiosity getting the better of her.

She pursed her lips, so absorbed in the book that she hadn't heard the new person entering into the room. The new chapter described a legend, something about a pokemon so dangerous that it lurked in another dimension- She didn't get to finish the rest of the sentence as Shephera mewed into her ear distracting her from the book in her hands. She looked up, only now noticing the girl in the room. She only really caught the part about her name and her pokemon. She ran a hand through her hair, before looking the girl over.

Skylar determined the girl much be a new student, which meant this girl.. Naomi was her underclassmen. Skylar stood up, booked marked the last page she was on, and then place the book back down onto the table. She then turned her full attention towards Naomi "My apologizes, I wasn't expecting anyone to be interested in joining today" she said politely. She didn't bother being bubbly and friendly, Skylar was simply being professional. Skylar turned and grabbed one of the fliers from the table and handed it to the girl "I'm assuming you're interesting in joining the club, otherwise you wouldn't be here correct? My name is Skylar Moore, i'm the current president of this club. This flier has all the information on the club, so feel free to take it with you if you're still unsure if you truly want to join or not. If you've already made up your mind, the club form sheets are at the other side of the table. Please take one, fill it out and take it to the appropriate office to officially join the club" she said, introducing herself. She waited for Naomi to digest the information Skylar just gave her, as well as to look over the flier. Skylar then turned to sit back down in her seat again. She crossed her legs "if you have any questions of concerns please feel free to ask" she added.

The girl, Skylar as she introduced herself, was engrossed in a book before she looked at Naomi. Something that Naomi could relate to that. So maybe she had kin in reading. She had a pokemon out as well. A vuplix but the fur was white instead of red with blue eyes. She apologize and voiced her surprise for anyone being interested in the club. Naomi nodded when she restated Naomi's interest in the club before the introduction and then mentioning that the flier had all the info about the club if she was unsure and that the applications were on another table. Naomi grabbed both as she read over the flier. Naomi sat down just as Skylar said that she could ask the girl questions if she wanted to.

Once she sat down, her pokemon were in her lap. "I actually do have a couple of questions." She rested her staff on the seat next to her. "I guess the first one is pretty typical. If you don't mean answering, what got you interested in the supernatural to start this club. My next questions are: does your research and investigation stick to solely regional paranormal activity or does it expand to other locations and cultures? Are the topics submitted by other students or it is a topic of a week type thing? Do we use special equipment? And importantly for me, does this club get access to special books in the library?"

Her face was serious as she looked at Skyla,r while showing her interest. She had more questions but she picked the ones that were more pressing at the moment. "I'm an avid reader and anything that gives me a reason to read something new is an A plus for me. I also do photography if that's a thing you do here too."

Skylar waited for Naomi to either leave or ask any questions she might have. Skylar didn't really think she'd have any, so to her surprise when Naomi did say she had a few questions Skylar made sure to turn her attention towards her. Skylar pursed her lips as the girl asked her what got her interested in the supernatural to start this club. That was rather personal, Skylar didn't know if you wanted to answer. However, she needed to be professional about this. She pondered it for a moment, she couldn't just tell her see saw a ghost named Maria and was practically forced to make the club. She crossed her arms "hmmm... that's a rather personal question, but I suppose you could say that I was enlightened one day. I don't really care to share those details, but I made this club based on my own curiosity. What makes something true? What causes events to happen, when we have no logical explanation to justify the cause? I want to find the worlds 'truths' if you will. I want to see them for myself, not take the word of someone else" she explained.

Skylar waited before continuing "to answer your next question, our research is mainly regional... however, once a year do have the option to take a trip and investigate locations outside the region. Of course we'd need the supervisor and the dean to approve a field trip in order for that to happen. Moving on to your question about the topics submitted. We mainly go off the requests students or faculty submit. However, if there are no requests within a weeks time then I'll pick a few topics and we'll vote on the one that we want to research. We don't typically have any special equipment as of yet because we're a new club. There's also the issue of not having a lot of members... because we're so small, we don't exactly have the largest budget. So we usually use that to purchase books for our research" she said.

Again, Skylar waited for Naomi to digest this information before moving on "Which leads me to answer your most important question, do we have special access to books in the library? Unfortunately the library is open to everyone, and we're not allowed to have special access to certain materials located there. However, we do have our now sort of library that no one can access but us here in the club room. These books are for the exclusive use of the Supernatural Studies Club, and as such no one but members may access them. As I stated before, most of our budget goes to purchasing books for our exclusive use. It helps with our research after all, and we don't have to bother with others not associated with the club checking them out" she explained.

After answering the girls questions, Skylar noted how serious Naomi was about stating that she was an avid reader. The girl explained that anything that gave her a reason to read something was an A plus for her. Skylar hummed "well we certainly have a wide variety of reading materials you can choose from if you choose to join. I can't promise they're topics you'll enjoy though, as they're more specific to lore and supernatural tales" she said. She raised a brow as she stated that she also does photography and that if that was a thing that she'd do that as well. Skylar pursed her lips, there was a club for photography her right? Skylar stood, grabbing the book she had been reading earlier and walking over to the bookcase "I believe there is a photography club here, however, please note that we do have mandatory meetings in this club. If you chose to join multiple clubs, be sure they don't overlap with each other. I don't take kindly to members who skip out on important events" she warned, her eyes cold and serious. Skylar placed the book she was reading back on the shelf "any other questions I can answer?" she asked.

Naomi listened as Skylar explained her origin story so to speak. She mentioned that it was a rather personal question, which Naomi understood and would have accepted an omission of it. Nonetheless, she answered the question, saying that she was enlightened and created the club to inquire on what made the world work beyond hearsay. It was rather put nicely as Naomi almost clapped her hands in response. She fiddled with Benny as Skylar went over the specifics of the club. She internally pouted that the research would be regionally restricted -forgetting how vast the region was in regards to its culture at the moment- as well as when she stated that there were no extra perks in the library for being in the club. However, knowing about a possible trip and that there would fresh things to learn and read about -as well as access to the books in the clubroom itself- made her really glad that she came this way. She hoped that the other members would be as studious as Skylar was.

Naomi winced a little when Skylar mentioned the photography club but made it clear that she didn't want absences or tardiness to special events. She nodded to make it clear that she understood. She watched as Skylar put a book back before asking if had more questions.

"Just one more," Naomi said she played with the Viola now with her fingers as Benny went over to look at the different colored Vuplix. The Gothita turned his head as the blue-eyed pokemon. "Uh...It's rather off topic but I was just wondering if you know anything about the coordination teacher, Lillith Ezra. I..." Naomi looked her eyes from side to side. "I had an encounter with her yesterday after orientation and I was curious about her. Not to mention, I found out I have her for class and you're a second year. Do you know anything about her?"

Yea....she wasn't going to spill that the woman caught her in the district instead of being on campus. What if that made Skylar reject her from the club...She didn't want that.

Niara and Mitus both walked together down the halls as Niara was trying to figure out just what club she wanted to get into. Problem was that she had absolutely no idea what she'd want to do! The kirlia walking withherdid glance at this particular door and Niara figured she'd just go off of what caught Mitus's interest. So she walked up to the door and knocked. "Erm, hello? I'm looking at joining a club. But I don't know where to really start." She stood there all awkward and nervous. What was she to do to join a club? She didn't get her chance last year. And she wants to get into something. But she had no idea what she'd want to do. Maybe asking would help?

Skylar looked up as Naomi stated that she had just one more question. Skylar nodded, crossing her arms as she waited for the girl to ask it. She listened as Naomi state that it was rather off topic, and that she was wondering if she knew anything about the coordination teacher. The teachers name was apparently Lillith Erza. Something about Naomi has some sort of encounter with her, and that she was curious about her. That and she found that the women was the teacher for her class. Skylar pursed her lips, Skylar didn't know who this person was. Sure Skylar read her name as one of the teachers here, but other than that? Nothing. Skylar shook her head "my apologizes, but I didn't have any classes with a professor named Lillith Ezra. I personally know nothing about her... perhaps if you visited the coordination club room she'd be there? I apologize for not having an answer for your question" she said.

Skylar knew she'd read the teachers name somewhere other than the teacher directory... where though? Skylar pursed her lips some more, before understanding why she'd heard the name. Lillith was the coordination professor right? Skylar ran a hand through her hair "I will say the only thing I know about her is that she teaches the coordination class that I'll be attending this year. Again, I have no other information other than that. Try asking the person herself more about her, I'm sure she'd speak with you" she added, before her attention drifted back towards the door. It seemed that the club was pretty popular right now, despite her thinking no one would be interested.

Another girl walked in, stating that she was looking for a club to join and that she didn't really know where to start. The newcomer seemed pretty nervous, she was probably a first year. Skylar hummed softy "I'm afraid I must take my leave now, if you have any further questions you'll have to hold onto them until later" she said to Naomi. She then took her leave and walked over to the new girl who just walked in. Skylar looked at the girl, as she stood in front of her "hello, my name is Skylar Moore and I'm the president of the supernatural studies club" she said. Skylar was a little annoyed with the academy, didn't they explain anything to the first years about clubs? Didn't they like hand out a list of the clubs that you could join? Apparently not, from what Skylar gathered from these two first years.

Pursing her lips, she sighed "I guess the staff didn't tell you much about clubs, I'm not sure if you just wondered in here while looking... but everything that relates to this club is on the flyer located on the table next to me. Here please take one if you're interested, however, if you're here for advise on joining clubs I'm not the right person to ask" she said, staring at the new comer. Skylar wasn't a baby sitter, she wasn't going to waste her time explaining things about other clubs. Her only concern was her own club and that was it. However, Skylar did try to be polite about it. If these first years wanted information, they better learn that they needed to find it out for themselves. Skylar wasn't going to just hold their hand like they were friends. That wasn't how the world worked.

Skylar then sat back down in her chair, crossing her legs "I'll tell you the same thing I told the other girl who came before you. If you do join my club, and plan to join clubs you better not miss any mandatory meetings or events we hold. I take my club seriously, and I don't tolerate people who skip out. If you do have an interest please fill out the form that's located next to the flyer and submit it to the club office. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask" she said softly.

Niara listened and thought this girl was at least straightforward and helpful. She looked over to see the flyer and nodded before looking to Skylar again. But as Skylar continued, Niara started to feel a touch intimidated and even somewhat offended. Did this girl just assume Niara would be late to club meetings and events? She was here to ask about joining a club, right? Niara was kind of thinking that club members would be trying to be more convincing about bringing in more members. "Er… Right. Sorry to bother you about it. Thank you for the information." She stepped over to slide an application form into her hand, just in case she decided to go with this club after all. While there, she looked to the flyer, quickly commiting the information on it to memory. After taking a second to do so, she bowed her head to Skylar and made her way out of the clubroom.
