Good Traits tab• • 》 High Enthusiasm---She has a high enthusiasm for new challenges that come at her in life and generally has a sunny disposition. Whether she has to spend the day doing chores, or just just got splashed by a Magikarp she'll wear a signature smile on her face. tab• • 》 Comforting---She is quick to, or offer, comfort to people she thinks may need it whether they be friends or complete strangers. It doesn't always work out but she is determined to be there for people she cares about and show them how much she cares for them. tab• • 》 Outgoing---Koru loves being social and meeting new people and isn't afraid to walk up to strangers just to strike up a conversation. Bad Traits tab• • 》 Self Doubt ---Koru has a hard time believing in herself sometimes. She constantly fears reverting back to the person she was before, and no matter how hard she tries she still sees that old self in the background. Strengths tab• • 》 Dance---Koru comes from a family of dancers, her mother's side of the family owns and operates the Ecruteak Dance Theater, and from a young age Koru and her sister Kenna were trained in the art of traditional japanese dance. She has intermediate skill right now but is slowly expanding her skills into other forms of dance as well. tab• • 》 Surfing---Although most of her family are very fire type oriented, Koru's grandfather has taught her and her cousins in the art of surfing. She can handle herself pretty well on a board dives right into the waters whenever she is near a place that is spacious enough, primarily oceans. tab• • 》 Team Player---Koru works well with others and is pretty easy to get along with during group activities or exercises. Biography tab• • 》Koru comes from a family of a long line of specialist trainers. Most of her father’s family, more specifically him and his two brothers, worked with Fire pokemon and her mother’s family worked with multiple types, such her mother's sister working with water and her husband working with ground types or her cousin using electric types. While the flame of competition always filled the air during family get-togethers, it was her father Bryne that got her quickly aimed at the goal when she got to watch him battle in a tournament with his Arcanine. She couldn’t even begin to comprehend how outstanding they were and wished she had a pokemon so she could be that amazing too. When he wasn’t battling he was working on construction at Tin Tower and her mother was working as director at the dance theater. She and her sister, Kenna, took lessons there but she preferred the art of battling to dancing. When Kenna moved away to the Kalos region for a job she became a little disheartened, but Kenna promised to come and see her in time and wished her luck on becoming a trainer.
When she was 9 years old she and her parents were partaking in the Autumn Festival, but she saw what she thought was a Pokemon glowing in gold. She had become mesmerized and wandered off to find it. After running deep into the woods she realized she was lost and came face to face with a Haunter who had tricked her and began to scare her even deeper into the forest. She wasn't aware of a Haunter's tricky and playful nature so she took it as a sign that it meant to harm her and ran farther to get away. She hid herself in a hollowed out tree and eventually fell asleep after being there so long. When she woke up it was morning and people were in the forest looking for her. This experience made her afraid of pokemon and she stopped playing with Arcanine and the others. She took up more time at the dance theater to keep herself busy, but her mother knew she was only doing this so her father wouldn't ask to go and play Arcanine. Her little brother Kenny was born after this and Koru promised to keep him safe no matter what, but like her, he showed a enthusiastic and dreamy-eyed interest in pokemon and always wanted to play with the wild Caterpie that approached the back yard. Koru never meant to, but she would be harsh and tell him no.
During the summer after Kenny's birth her father brought home a baby Cyndaquil, injured and presumably abandoned at the Tin Tower where he was working. Cyndaquil was afraid of being touched so it was tough treating any wounds without him shooting out a smokescreen. Bryne thought that Koru could have a go at it but she refused, despite feeling sorry for the little Pokemon. From time to time he would show Kenny Cyndaquil, but Koru scoffed off any interest. One night she woke up to the sounds of crying and went out to see what was wrong and was shocked to find Weedles had gotten into the shack and was bothering Cyndaquil. Though extremely afraid, she ran forth and scooped Cyndaquil up in her arms and took him inside where she didn't let go of him til the morning. She explained to her father what had happened but he was most of all glad to see that she was holding a pokemon in her arms again. She got to thinking about how scared Cyndaquil was and that she had been the same way, so asked her dad if she could train the Cyndaquil as it's trainer.

xxxxxxxxNew School, New Region!
After falling asleep on the train Koru and her Pokemon Cyndaquil arrive in the Evren region's Lamia train station. Immediately after leaving the train she becomes instantly intrigued by a girl and her Noivern. This intrigue sparked up a early friendship between Koru and the girl, later to know her name as Li Xia-Tian. They go off together to the academy, but unfortunately her stomach calls, and they stop for some food at a cafe. While there their peaceful meal is interrupted by a curious Shinx and her trainer... Koru rocketed to the opening ceremony, meeting Evelyn along the way and when arrived she met with not only Xia but also Hayato, a friend of hers that Evelyn had met earlier as well. Seems fate brought the four of them together without even realizing.
xxxxxxxxFirst Day!
Though sluggish this morning Koru and Cyndaquil made it to her first class, Battle class. She couldn't contain her excitement but as soon as she entered she froze up. Upon entering, she also inadvertently meets her roommate, Skylar. Maybe they can talk later? Who knows but Koru took the chance to admit her goal as a trainer to the teacher, even though he only asked why they wanted to take the class. After class she got her chance to meet her roommate again, but it didn't go as well as she hoped and she started to feel like she messed up this first impression.
Later in the day Koru made on time to History Class, taught by Miss Floros. As class was starting the boy next to her dropped a bowl, guess he was eating lunch late? Either way, she picked up and handed it back to him before Miss Floros started the class. She was able to share more about her hometown when she asked about myths, but she hoped to learn more about those things in this class. As class was going Koru began to replay her meeting with Skylar in her head and she face planted aggravated for messing up their meeting. The boy next to her noticed, causing her to become slightly embarrassed. She introduced herself and he introduced himself as Ray and she was surprised that his fluffy little bird was also named Rey. They seemed really nice, she hoped she and Cyndaquil made friends this class...
xxxxxxxxSomething Amiss!
Slowly Koru's starting to notice something wrong with Ray. He overslept and almost missed class, he didn't seem all too confident in gym. Was she coming on too strong? He was such a nice person, but what he said about himself...it reminded her of how she used to talk about herself...She immediately brought out all the positivity she could muster and told him he needed to take care of himself and live- but what made her really happy, was how he told her she was best as herself and didn't need to change for anyone. She couldn't not smile after that and it proved Ray was her friend. It couldn't have made her happier, but she was still worried.
There's a new boy who seems really intrigued by Pokemon, and he already seems like a friend to Ray too, that's great! His name was Marcus, and he really knows a lot! She had to run and do her homework before she could really talk to him though...
xxxxxxxxCaught a Fletchling!
After finishing her homework at the library, Koru wandered around the forest, exploring the grounds while also trying to clear her head of...previous flusters...While sitting and eating snacks a wild Fletchling came for her candy bar! Koru figured they were in their territory then it came after Cyndaquil, so Koru had no choice but to fight to protect him. After a little skirmish Koru caught her first Pokemon! After a moment of screaming in pure excitement she took Cyndaquil and ran back to campus, excited to get her new Pokemon rested up for tomorrow!

At the end of history Koru had asked Ray to hang out in town and she was so happy he accepted and it was going well she thought- but then Ray suddenly ran away from her at Cafe Salvatore...When she found him she fell and injured her knees and chin, but ignored the pain and went to his side and she finally got something out of him about what has been hurting him. However, she couldn't take seeming him this way and began to cry as much as he did....Seems she has a lot more to learn about her friends-but how?
xxxxxxxxTwo Weeks Later...
The past few weeks haven't been all that great...Koru has become focused on training with Cyndaquil and Fletchling more which is great- but that's the only great thing...Since certain events Ray has been avoiding her and she can't ask him why 'cause he runs from just seeing her...She feels like Marcus Bennett has something to do with it but she hasn't gotten any proof yet. To top it all off she finally tried to confront Skylar about her attitude with her, but all it ended up being was a screaming match between them...Now everyone's on this great field trip but all Koru can think about is if she was better off the way she was before she got to school... The trip slowly became worse for Koru...After the dance performance it was like Ray and Marcus were avoiding her completely like she had cooties or something?! She knew something must've happened to Ray, but she couldn't figure out what and it scared her. If it wasn't for Kirsi being at her side during the trip who knows what could've happened. Winning the soccer game was awesome Kirsi was totally the MVP! She even gave her the Ivysaur plush she had won! Still worried, she had a small glimmer that the trip was going to get better.

Winter break came and went quickly as Koru returned to school, but Koru was still reeling from the action she had faced before break. At first she was unsure, but all the students were called to the Daycare on Campus for an announcement, but they were met by the mysterious girl they had met before when the baby dragons were visiting. Koru was shocked who the girl was, Frappe the MC, and she was thanking the students that helped fight and save the dragons during the Leoconoe Festival. As a thank you, she offered to them the very Dragon Pokemon they had met before. Koru was having trouble deciding, but a distant Goomy, one she had met before, caught her attention. She immediately knew Goomy was her new Pokemon!

Being back home for break was fantastic! Koru got to play with her little brother and her papa and his Pokemon again- and the best part was her mom's cooking! One morning she decided to head over and see if Makoto wanted to hang out. The two girls set off to get some ice cream at the Moo Moo Milk farm, but stopped when they saw a Chikorita corned by a angry Houndoom?! Koru battled alongside Makoto and her Vulpix Inari and defeated the houndour and saved Chikorita. In the end Koru caught the Houndour and Chikorita was so grateful she cuddled up to Makoto as a new partner! It was a great day- but now Koru has to figure out how to straigthen out her new troublemaker...

A New Year!xxxxxxxxx
After summer break, Koru finally returns with her Pokemon to Ordell Academy for the new year! She's not sure what to expect, but upon exiting the train, she was already met with nostalgia and curiousity to her friends. Would they all be here? Would they still want to be friends with her? Only seeing them herself would tell her the answer. She hurried to campus in time for the opening ceremony, and though it still shocked her, she stepped up to the stage as part of the house representatives! It seemed to all go so well- until Marco rolled in- literally...Everyone got knocked down like bowling pins and Quilava freaked out and send out a smokescreen. It was a little rocky, but Koru cleared up some of the smoke and greeted new students to Salamence the best that she knew how!

Makoto revealed herself and Koru brought out her bright smile,"Koto!"She wrapped around her friend and lifted Makoto from the ground with ease. Quilava felt a chill run through his body while trying to keep eye contact with Inari, Makoto's cute Vulpix. The fire type began to quiver from nerves and finally rose a paw in greeting,"Qui..." a weak hello at best.

◉Family ◉ Koru is incredibly closer to everyone in her family and admires each and everyone of them in the hope she can become as accomplished as them one day when she becomes a true pokemon trainer. The list of her family can be found here.
◉People at School ◉Kirsi Rhodes★★★✰ xxxxxx Met in gym class as a new girl to the Salamence dorm. Has a Growlithe named Chance that likes to be petted. Already likes her as a friend. Update: Oh man I hope she's not mad at me! I don't think I can do this right anymore... Update: Kirsi is such a cool person and awesome person! We entered the tournament together...but I lost so I couldn't have a match with her, but she got 3rd place isn't that great!? ◉Li Xia-Tian★★★✰ xxxxxx Xia was the first person Koru met when she arrived in the Lamia district and her first official friend. Like her she is upbeat and is also a strong person that Koru admires a little. Hasn't seen her in a while and missed her greatly. Update: Xia really helped me out the last day of the trip I feel so bad for bring everyone down I need to make it up to her and everyone somehow! ◉Makoto Sharp and Inari★★★✰ xxxxxx Makoto is a friend from back home in Ecruteak City. When Koru began to despise pokemon after the incident in the woods she cut herself off from Makoto and her other friends. Makoto actually became her roommate and though talking normally was awkward Makoto forgave Koru and even helped cheer her up when she was sad over what Marcus had said about her. She sees Makoto as a true friend and doesn't want to mess up their friendship ever again. Since Koru didn't take in Cyndaquil til after she had distanced herself from her friends none of them got to meet him and vice versa, but Cyndaquil finds Makoto's Vulpix, Inari, really pretty.

She likes him and considers him a pretty close friend already, but she feels something's hurt him but she's afraid to ask him about it or it might hurt him even more.
