Heavy rainfall, flooding rivers, herd crossings, crocodiles snacking, vultures and lions brawling...and of course two members of different species and sexes both hiding from a storm in the same shelter--their minds opening, feelings changing, vulnerabilities expressed, secrets revealed, bodies growing closer...
Simulizi gave a dreamy sigh as she fluttered down onto the thickest bough of an impressive acacia tree where she subsequently reclined, resting her head on crossed paws. It was so romantic, so dramatic.
She couldn't wait til word got around to each of their mates.
Suppressing an exultant giggle, and succeeding for the most part, the goddess stretched out languidly and relaxed her wings in the shade. The trees were brimming and lush from the rain and seemed to bask gladly in the early afternoon sun. The entire savanna seemed pleased alongside Lizi. It really was a strange and lovely place. The mortal realm was much more exciting than that stuffy Haven (although she did enjoy a bit of gossip between gods now and then, too). Mortals were far more interesting on the whole. From her perch she could see far and wide, poised to catch any intrigue. She didn't have to scan long, however, for in moments she recognized instantly the figure of another god. Lizi frowned. She wasn't acquainted with him. Had she strayed from the Haven for so long?
As if it was his fault that the two of them had never been introduced, Lizi stared at the god in the distance with a forced look of someone affronted. She decided to watch him for a while longer before revealing herself. There would be no point in calling out to him if he didn't approach her tree, anyway. Far too much effort. Wouldn't be worth it. She was sure he wouldn't have any juicy gossip to share, anyway... (She was finding it terribly hard to convince herself of this last fact.)
