There were very few things that didn't worry Drexl. Going out one day to search for a few Sitara's was never one of them. There were known locations of the glowing beings, most of which were know to him thanks in great part to Jerami. The other's idea of him having a Sitara has stuck with Drexl for a bit now. He hummed as he and Miqwe made their way through the underbrush. The large Limbara by now was well adjusted to the terrain of the forest floor of Jauhar. Drexl chuckled as he watched Miqwe's eye twitch when he stepped into a puddle. "You are not a fan of water, are you?"
The flat look he got was proof enough that the beast disliked the thought. Drexl shook his head as he looked up to the canopy. "Don't fret, so long as we go through water that doesn't go above your nose we should be good."
He glanced to the beast again, that being a major concern. Drexl was going to have to figure out a way to cross water without risking his tiny beast. That was a fearful thought for another time as he blinked at a set of three Sitaras eating what looked to be the last of the fruit on the tree. "Oh...Miqwe...shake that tree please..."
The hulking Limbara charged the tree. Shaking it with the force of the charge, Drexl blinked as two of the Sitaras honestly impressed him. Not only did they use Miqwe's back as some sort of balance board when they fell. They used it to spring back into another tree. The third one sadly, missed Miqwe's back and smacked his snout. Drexl rushed up to examine the poor beast. "Sorry about that, didn't want you to overeat."
He looked around for the other two. "Guess the flight instinct kicked in..."
He slowly turned his head back in time to see the Sitara waking up. There was a long moment of a shared stare before Drexl felt a tail smack his face as the beast ran for it. He rubbed his face as he watched it take off. Giving Miqwe a side glance as the Limbara seemed to start snickering. He huffed. "Alright then...you get it..."
Miqwe turned his head to watch the Sitara skitter away. The Limbara wasn't as fast as the smaller creature but he was going to try. Drexl stood up as he watched Miqwe start to trot after the Sitara. Mentally telling himself he shouldn't expect to get anywhere swiftly unless Miqwe developed the legs for it...
It was a few moments later, mostly Drexl making sure Miqwe was well within sight of him. He did notice that they were coming to a area with more puddles than solid forest floor. Which he took note that Miqwe came to a stop beside a tree. Drexl walked up next to him to see the Sitara, seemingly panting in said tree. The lanky male looked up before climbing the tree. He sat on the thicker half of the branch as he looked at the Sitara. "Look...I know this seems like I'm being a bully..but here's the deal. You see that big guy down there...he doesn't have a friend. I'm out here trying to get him a friend and maybe get a friend for my Princess' Sitara. I'm sorry..."
The Sitara blinked at him. Drexl shrugged, then let out a yelp as he felt a fruit smack his hip. He looked around quickly and spotted the other two Sitaras that leaped away earlier. He blinked before deciding that right now was not a good time to get into a fight with a beast that seemed weaker. As he turned to bail out of the tree he heard the Sitara in front of him squeak. He looked to it as it fell from the tree. Quickly landing he nearly lost his breath as he saw Miqwe quickly catch it using a large fern leaf. The Limbara had grabbed one side of it and stretched it out to cushion the tinier beasts fall.
"Good job, Miqwe! Let us get out of here!!!" he said as he looked up to see the other two Sitaras seemingly grabbing more fruit. He quickly set the Sitara that seemed stunned down before bolting with Miqwe ahead of him. Once they were far enough away he settled down with a long sigh. Miqwe nudged his leg. "I know...we had it...but, its friends would of kept coming after us...rather than hurt them needlessly I would rather let them recover before we go at this a nicer way."
As he spoke, Miqwe settled to lay next to him. Drexl chuckled as he stroked the beast. "Not everything is about hurting the other side, Miqwe. Sometimes just backing off and talking works better."
