As Spring rolls into Summer in Tendaji it appears that something is not as it should be. In fact, strange and unpredictable weather is happening all across the world. Strong storms, bizarre heat waves, unheard of snow storms, floods, and other similar events are happening in all of the countries. Some are superstitious, seeing it as a warning of great evil, others blame the Dretch, some shrug it off as a freaky incident, and others ignore that it's even such an oddity.

However, one thing is certain - all the lands are dealing with these weird weather outbreaks in their own way. How are you handling matters? Do you try to help others, are you too focused on yourself, or do you want to try and find answers for the causes behind these recent events? Or did you get caught out in the disaster yourself and these are your memories of how you had to fight against the odds to get to safety?

Basically this is a solo (or a rp with a friend) to write out how your character is being affected by these strange occurrences in Tendaji.

Chibale and Matori are both suffering from snow - something that has rarely hit these warmer countries before! A blizzard especially is unheard of.

Jahaur and Yael are experiencing drought. Rain hasn't fallen for the last couple of weeks...

Tale, Sauti, and Oba are experiencing massive amounts of rain to the point that some of the desert is flooding.

Zena is having the strangest heat wave and some areas once covered year-round with snow and ice are even starting to melt...

Belrea is shaken. Literally. A huge earthquake has ripped through the continent scaring many and even now faint rumbles from its impact shift at random beneath your feet.

Riya frowned as she stepped into yet another mud puddle. She could understand when it was warm for a day or two, but now it was starting to get ridiculous. When she heard a miserable meow Iriyana paused and winced. As she turned to look she noticed that Hugs, her perzi, had stepped into the mud as well.

She moved over and picked the poor thing up. "Come on." After moving him away from the muck she set him back down and started on her way. Riya was on a mission to get some herbs for herself. There was a trick that she wanted to try.

It was with a look of utter contempt as Ergon looked down at his pants. Mud was splattered all along the back after he had been sent running after a client with sticky fingers. The treasure was safely in hand, but now his clothes were disgusting. His cheek would be bruising quickly, too, but at least he could be satisfied knowing the other guy would look worse.

Heading back to work, he almost dove for cover when he saw Iriyana walking around as well. If she should see him in such a state! Diving would only make things worse though; the mud was everywhere. Instead, he just smoothed his hair and carried himself with his usual dignity as well as an unnecessarily apologetic smile. "Riya," he called with a little wave.

The sound of her name coming from very familiar lips had her looking up and over at where Ergon was. Instantly she smiled at him, not at all concerned with the mud on him since she had some on her as well. Not to mention Hugs was practically covered. "Hey Ergon. Working today too?" It was a rhetorical question since she could usually guess as much.

As she got closer she noticed that it looked as though his cheek had a mark on it. Instantly she looked worried. "Babe, what did you do?" Her hands came up to touch his face but hovered just out of reach. "Are you alright?"

Seeing Riya's smile gave Ergon a greater joy than he could remember getting from anything else. "Yes, I am," he replied anyway. At least she didn't see too disappointed in his appearance. Well, most of it, at least.

His hand rose to give Riya's hand a reassuring squeeze. "The unreasonably warm weather has messed with some heads. A scoundrel tried to steal an item from the office, and was unwilling to give it back when I caught up to him. It was a weak hit only, I assure you. He came out of it much worse than I." His free hand patted his pocket lightly. "The item is retrieved, the brute is off with the authorities, and the bruise will be small. So, where are you going in this muck?"

The hand that he captured and gave a squeeze squeezed back while her other hand dropped to rest on his shoulder. Riya still looked concerned. "Well that guy it lucky that I didn't see it. I'd of shot him." She huffed.

At the mention of the muck she smiled again and looked down at her boots that were covered in it. "Well... I'm going to the market." Returning her gaze to him she offered up a small chuckle of apology. "I wanted to find some herbs. I have an idea I'd like to try." Mainly she was hoping to find a better way to hunt without destroying the best meat.

Ergon chuckled lightly. "I have no doubt. He was not one to waste your time on." While it would have been a satisfying sight, he was happier not getting Riya involved in any confrontations.

"Herbs?" He turned slightly to look in the direction of the market. "I wonder if this weather is affecting the market at all. I have not been there yet, myself. I imagine they're doing a bit of shuffling to adjust."

She smiled, glad to know that he was alright. Riya would have to hunt down anyone that seriously injured Ergon.

At the mention of the weather affecting the market she too seemed to look that way. "Well, I hope it's not completely closed it. I want to get a few herbs today before I go out hunting." Iriyana gave a sigh and shook her head. The warm weather didn't bother her as much as it did the other iclings. Mostly because she had spent quite a lot of time in Sauti.

"I'm hoping that I can lace my arrows with a paralytic so I don't have to ruin the best meat for a kill shot." Riya explained.

It still surprised Ergon, every once in a while, to hear his girlfriend went hunting. It was a natural part of life, yes, but most well-off women did not do their own catching. Heck, even he wasn't one to go out and hunt. Iriyana was a capable woman, for sure.

The explanation caught his interest though. "A paralytic?" he repeated, cocking his head. "That does make sense. You will want to make sure it is one that will not linger in the meat, though." He smirked lightly. "I certainly would not want my mouth to go numb in the middle of eating~"

Hearing that he wouldn't want the numb feeling while eating made her laugh. "That's true but if I get the dosage right it won't be there. Plus, if the beast runs it'll be metabolized into the blood stream and not the muscle." Which was what she was aiming for.

"I won't get back from hunting until sundown. When do you get off work?" If she could get a rough estimate then she might be able to make it back sooner to spend time with him. Provided she didn't have a large haul of meat with her.

Ergon grinned at Riya's laugh and nodded along. He knew little of how blood and muscles worked, so he trusted she was right. "I am certain you will figure it out."

Glancing at the sky, he took a moment to consider how he would be working today. "I will need to do a little extra work, thanks to the brute trying to steal things. Double check the rest of the inventory, write up the incident... Perhaps I will be done about sundown as well." Looking to Riya, he let his smile warm. "Would you care to join me for dinner when you return?"

With Ergon giving her a rough outline of the duties he had yet to perform she gave a sympathetic look. Riya couldn't imagine being cooped up and trying to do all those things. Which is one reason why she hadn't taken after her dad. "Well hopefully it's not too bad."

The invite to join him for dinner had her smile lighting up her face once again and she nodded. "I would like that very much." Spending time with him never got old.

When a rather miserable sounding meow was voiced she looked down at Hugs and pressed her lips together to keep from laughing at the muddied feline.

Ergon gave a halfhearted smile. "It will be a bit tedious, but it won't be the worst thing I've had to do there. One of the back shelves broke, along with everything sitting on it. Now that was bad." A whole day had been spent scrubbing up that incident.

His weaker smile grew with Riya's. He started to lean in to kiss her cheek, but the meow caught the attention of both icelings. "I suppose I should not delay us any further. However, I do believe I would like a strong cup of tea to keep me going the rest of the day." Turning, he reached to hook his arm lightly around Riya's waist. "How about I escort you to the market?"

She gave a visible wince for his plight. "I'm sorry." Not that she had been the one to do it but still.

Riya gave a slight blush when Ergon put his hand around her waist. It was usually her who had to initiate affection in public. Though, it was nice and she liked it. "I would like that very much, my perfect gentleman." She leaned against him slightly. "So long as you won't get into trouble."

Iriyana didn't want to be the reason he got into trouble. She already felt bad half the time thinking that she asked for too much of his time.

Ergon smirked and shook his head. "I am sure that they will understand me taking a brief detour." Besides, what sort of man would he be if he didn't at least offer to escort his girlfriend around on such a miserably warm day? He needed a few minutes anyway to plan out where he would be taking Riya for dinner later. Maybe the walk would give him some inspiration~
