The first errant breeze of freedom! Lyria could not get outside fast enough after the day's lessons, emerging in a blur of cloth and black hair to soak up the sun. Okay - that was enough. Smirking to herself at the internal jest made of her own fair skin, she stopped in the middle of the bowl, shielding her eyes with a hand to gaze up at the craggy points jutting along the northern rim of the Weyr. A body of sapphire hues emerged from beyond them, winging up into the air on a warm current of springtime that the candidate envied to her toes. How pleasant it must be up there! Despite the relatively mild temperature, she brought her arms akimbo over her bosom to crowd her body heat to herself. None of her jovial delight was lost, however - she spun on her heels, glad to be rid of the tedium of repeated material, and made her way unerringly for her usual spot.

The 'usual spot' in question happened to be a portion of rock carved out of the bowl like a balled melon, a scoop perfectly sized for one of her stature to lean back in and reflect on a day's happenings. That is precisely what she did too, dropping her weight onto the stone to settle back in a recline atop a bent arm. One leg dangled off the edge of her little couch, foot swinging an idle pendulum as she watched the clouds past the upper lip of that cubby, smiling widely as a Dragon's wings carved a visible pattern into one of them that quickly reformed once the beast had passed through. It was a nice day.

Someone is in my spot. There was an indignant huff, loud enough to be heard even if the words the dragonet spoke were meant for her rider alone. The green's eyes whirled faintly blue, a color she wore daily, but there was little humor in her voice. Make them move.

It's not yours to begin with, so no. You don't own anything, so don't claim stuff. The rider of said huffing dragonet looked down on his lifemate with amusement, watching how her posture had gone from a happy trot to a very clear sulk. He could easily feel the irritation between their still fresh link, though it wasn't nearly as overwhelming as it'd been just a sevenday before. They were getting used to one another. I mean, if you really want it you could tell her to move.

Sahrawith huffed again, even louder. I don't want to talk to her right now. The right now prompted R'ose to raise an eyebrow, wondering if the baby dragon meant that moment or the entire conversation. Or maybe not even this month, or this Turn. Sahrawith was proving to be very picky about who she wanted to talk to and, honestly, R'ose was okay with that. Anyway, make her move. I want to sun myself there.

R'ose shook his head again before he squatted down next to the pouting little green. "What's your mood today? So grumpy." He made sure to speak out loud, to get the attention of the candidate if the snorts of his lifemate hadn't already done so.

Becoming thoroughly lost in her own thoughts and ideas for some new pattern or other was common to the girl - what was less so was the way she seemed entirely oblivious to the initial whuffling of the weyrling pair. Something must have really dug into her mind's eye! It was not until the two had come so close, the biped of the pair stopping to speak aloud to his lifemate for her benefit, that her mind careened back into her body with a jolt of surprise at the realization that someone was indeed there. Lyria sat bolt upright, startled. Then, her lips spread into a grin, face suffused with jubilant glee.
"R'ose!"
Remembering the new honorific--and more importantly, to use it--the young woman hopped up off of her chosen spot to close the remaining parcel of distance between them. She stopped a respectable distance away and offered an incline of her head, both slight and cordial, in a respectful greeting to the dragonet.
"And a good day to you too, beautiful Green one."
Though the smile did not fade, her eyebrows lowered with the faint hint of a furrow pinching the skin between them, expressing some polite confusion as she straightened and leveled her uncomfortably icy gaze on her former candidate-friend.
"Grumpy? The day is far too nice, and the air too sweet with the promise of summer, for anyone to be grumpy. And with you, so fresh out of the egg! Tsk."
Her last was directed to Sahrawith, and Lyria spread her arms out to her sides in a helpless gesture. Her face cleared and her arms lowered, one moving to rest idly atop a cocked hip as she resituated her attentions on the rider.
"How are the pair of you doing?"
It was obvious from the expansive lengthening of one word and the meaningful tone she adopted that the candidate was speaking of Weyrling life in general, not just feeling in the moment.

Oh boy. The thought echoed in the skulls of both rider and dragon at the flair that Lyria seemed to be giving off as she approached, and R'ose had to stifle a laugh as he looked away from the woman and back to his lifemate. The green was smiling, in as much as a dragon could smile, and there was a merriment in her emotions that battled strongly against the grump she'd had mere seconds before.

Do you know her? Sahrawith's eyes whirled as she looked at the overly friendly human, and even though she appreciated the comment the little dragonet found herself shirking back and behind her rider. Most of the people she'd encountered with R'ose hadn't been so...exuberant. It wasn't bad at all, just quite different. She's....so cheery. R'ose gave an affectionate pat before standing up, as he'd still been squatting down next to his lifemate.

We were candidates together, and she's not such a bad person. R'ose didn't sound too sure, and Sahrawith huffed. "Hello Lyria, it's nice to see you. I'm doing good, just enjoying my break from lessons for today." A smile pressed onto the jr. weyrling's face as he looked towards someone not that long ago he'd worked with. "Sahrawith just wanted a chance to stretch her legs, so we're walking out and about. Didn't expect to see you here."

Not quite liking her name being suddenly dropped towards a woman with unsettling eyes, Sahrawith nosed the back of R'ose's leg. She's really creepy.

Shush. The dragonet got a soft nudge with R'ose's foot for her comment, which thankfully had hit his ears alone. You're in quite a mood today, but you need to be friendly. His reply was a huff and the green settling into a more proper sitting position. "Sorry for her attitude, she's just...tired from lessons. V'mel doesn't let anyone slack off." Not entirely a lie, really. "How are you? How's candidate lessons going?"
