[JRP]Honor is everything (Isik &Ahri)

It had been years since Isikhulumi had a place to call a home, since she felt she was among people that valued the same things she did. When word reached her that there was a clan of lions that were looking for members, a clan that valued strength and honor above all else, well it was a siren's call for the massive white female. So she had come in search of a new home, one where her size and intelligence might be prized, where her gifts of healing would be prized.

Reaching the edge of what she understood to be the pride's lands, Isik planted herself and let out a bellow hoping to bring someone to her since she didn't want to start off by trespassing on what would be her new home. She settled in to wait, the sun blinding on her snowy white coat as gold eyes watched the land before her for her future.

Lazy, lazy day.

Tired, so tired.

Ahri'ok had little to no intention of doing ANYTHING today. Warchief on the mend, Farseer at his side constantly, and the rest of the pride finally buzzing again...It was a chance for the large lion to finally, finally get some much-needed time away from the newest members of the pride that figured he was the one to ask all the questions to. A moment to lay down in the sun just a little ways away from the canyon and gnaw on a bone and slowly drift...

And roll his eyes and growl in irritation at the sound of yet another whelp he probably would have to hear questions from later. Splintering the chosen bone with a bite, he reluctantly got himself up onto his paws, swinging around towards the direction of both the sound and now the scent.

Not having very far to go, he got up until he could make out who it was that bellowed to the pride. Satisfied with the distance, he then sat down, kneading the thirsty, dry earth with his claws, waiting for them to either turn tail or approach. Either way, he'd be ready.

Gold eyes met red as Isik studied the large male before a lazy smirk crossed her muzzle. He was of size with her brothers..good. Still she made no move but spoke out, "Well met. Tell me, have I found the Vita'alizaliwa? Those of strength, honor, and courage?' She rolled her shoulders settling her weight for the moment, not straying onto their lands, not yet when it could give him excuse for an unprovoked attack.

A small flutter of pride welled in his chest at some strange rogue knowing about his home as she described it. If he was in a slightly better mood, he would acknowledge it as such, boat about them, build up the Warchief, and make a bit of a spectacle.

As it was, Ahri'ok was in a rather grumpy mood, and only acknowledged her words and her presence with a grunt at first. Words came only after he'd sized her up. Not someone who'd bring shame to the pride, certainly, and at least she had the balls to just walk right up. that counted a little, for him at least.

"And you think you're worthy enough, then?" He rumbled, a smirk on his muzzle.

'Perhaps, that remains to be seen. I am a healer by trade, one who is trained with herb and strength to mend broken bodies and guide new life into this world but I can fight when called upon." She huffed amused ears flicking back as she studied him in turn, calm despite his scrutiny. "After all what use is a healer who cannot defend her charges should it come to that?Who cannot set bone when broken, or haul one to safety that needs aid."

By the ancestors he hadn't asked for a lecture, it was a yes-or-no question and here it felt like his ear was getting talked off. Really, it wasn't that much, but when you want silence and get words instead. Well.

Rolling his shoulders in a shrug, he got back up from his sitting position and planted his paws firmly on the ground, his red eyes now trained on the lioness and clearly waiting for a move to be made.

"Show me, then."

"Not bad."

That was putting it lightly, really. It seemed he had started making a bad habit of thinking everyone who even got that close to their borders needed shaping up, and here he was getting is rump handed to him. On one paw, he could throw everything he had into it and soundly beat the lioness to the ground...

On the other, he could take a step back, shake out his mane and send dust flying everywhere, and sheathe his claws. There was no use in getting angry at someone who didn't deserve it at all.

"You say you're a healer? the Farseer will be pleased to probably have another shaman under her wing that can show their claws properly."

Finally he felt the pull of genuine, sincere smile on his face.

"What name shall I announce you by, then, when we head back?"

Panting but not terribly winded as some might have been, Isik gave him a wide smile then, her blood riled from a well fought fight. Taking a few deep breaths to center herself, Isik nodded at his question before considering what she could be called before huffing a faint laugh "Bone Breaker." It amused her as it could be taken many ways from those that would fight her to those who would come to her for care yet it covered all that she was.
