The cubs were old enough now that they could walk about on their own and get to meet the rest of the pride, to include their father if he so wished. Currently the adult female was leaning against a boulder so that she was in it's cool shade while one of her son's was practicing pouncing on her tail. Some of her other children were in a little cub pile, resting in the warm sunlight. It wasn't particularly hot today but it wasn't exactly cool so she could understand them wanting to rest.
