	Word Count : 1345 Ushma was mad at her self for being so difficult when it came to Beflecken. She wasn't able to just be proud of him or give him any of the credit he deserved. Through all of their trials as a mated pair he'd been loving and kind and she'd been very critical the whole time. A big reason was she was sure she could have done better as far as males went. Befleckens build was leaner and skinnier than a lot of the standard males in the pride. Ushma her self was a lot more muscular than Beflecken and for some reason her self preservation of her image seemed to be the reason she fought Beflecken every step of the way. She could feel a distance growing between the two and she could feel that if she didn't change some of that red hot fire temper of hers that she'd drive him off and in all honesty that was not what Ushma wanted. The two lions had cubs together after all and much much more. They had history and you couldn't just get rid of history. ((Rolling 4 sided Dice for interaction . 1 - Bast'ions is able to catch a large amount of fish \| 2 - Bast'ion fell in the water because he was trying to catch fish \| 3 - Bast'ion caught one small fish \| 4 - Bast'ion caught an octopus to the face ))

	Bast'ion had gotten back from his first viking trip with a mixed set of feelings. The viking outting was not as brutal as he imagined it would be which could have been a good and a bad thing as Bast'ion had a very serious phobia of blood that had been trained in to him for a very long time. The kirin lion was pretty sure he'd never recover from that brain conditioning which only left him more frustrated and angry at the whole idea of his phobia. If he could go back in time and talk him self out of the service of choice he would but it was far too late now. Fishing seemed like a good way to at the very least be a distraction for the kirin lion. He had him self propped up on some of the rocks off the shore of the coast where he watched and waiting for fish to swim by. A large school of them did just that so Bast'ion was quick to swipe his paw down. SPLASH. The quickness of the swipe may have been a little too much for the fishy squad as most of them scattered but one small fish that had gotten caught in the swipe and tangled on one of Bast'ions claws. No blood but the thing was wiggling almost uncontrollably in his paw. Paw steps had the male turning his head to find a dark and red female off to the side watching him. Bast'ion rolled his eyes and flicked the small thing off his paw back in to the water. It had been too small to even be a decent snack for the lion. The fish , now with a damaged fin, weakly wiggled off like the rest of the fish in its fish squad.

	Ushma, now intrigued by the sight of Bast'ions fishing endeavors, wandered in a little closer careful to place her paws on the rocks that lead out further in to the ocean just as Bast'ion had done. She took a seat next to the kirin male and was even more amused by the fact he was smaller than she was. "Doesn't seem like you're having much luck out here. Maybe don't move so fast and you'll fair better." She had a knowing judgmental look on her features that at the same time boasted she was quite amused actually. "Watch how I do it." She dipped a large paw in the ocean and waited.

	Bast'ion watched as the female stuck her paw in to the water. He watched for a whole five minutes before he got bored and rolled his eyes. "Your way seems like its pretty dumb." He grumbled, "You haven't even gotten a group of fish interested. Like I said pretty dumb.."

	Ushma's temper started to creep up but she fought the urge to lift her paw out of the water to smack this male square aside his head and instead continued to wait. She'd show him that this method did work and that he had been fishing really stupid this whole time. And maybe she'd rub it in his face as well but that hadn't been decided. She continued to sit in silence and wait for a fish to grab at her paw. For now there didn't seem to be activity but things came to those that waited and Ushma was a firm believer that those things were fish and that they would come to her.

	Bast'ion waiting a little more before he rolled his eyes. Results weren't happening fast enough for his taste and it was really really boring to sit here and watch this none action. "Why don't you stick your paw where fish actually are?" He couldn't wrap his head around what ever this female was doing with her paw, "You'd actually get fish if you were to just swipe your paw down some where that actually had fish. I don't know what you're doing now but I see no fish." He grumbled.

	(( 1 - One Big Fish \| 2 - Several Big Fish \| 3 - Several Small Fish \| 4 - Nothing but Bast'ion gets smacked hard )) Ushma wanted so badly to smack this male square across the head but she refrained in favor of showing him that she knew exactly what she was doing waiting for fish. He jabbed at her method some more and while the anger was building Ushma resisted and closed her eyes really feeling the cold salty water and waited. Something touched her paw and she slapped it up having quite a large fish land square at her paws. It was an impressive looking fish and it flailed frantically on the rocks. Ushma pressed a clawed paw in to the fish really digging her claws firmly in to its flesh letting it bleed out and die. "Sorry. What were you saying about my method again?" She mock paused, "Oh right nothing. Cause you couldn't even manage to catch a fish you could eat."

	(( 1 : Bast'ion gets a little dizzy from blood \| 2: Bast'ion can't even watch \| 3: Bast'ion gets super dizzy from blood \| 4: Bast'ion passes out from sight of blood )) The kirin lion had to admit he was super impressed but he wasn't about to say that out loud. In fact he wasn't about to say anything out loud because moments after Ushma caught the fish she was bleeding the damn thing. The kirin lions instincts told him to look a way but Bast'ion felt something in side him fight that instinct and forced him to watch as every drop of blood secreted from the punctured holes. Things began to to feel unstable and his vision began to sway from side to side and he watched but stubbornly he looked on and watched. This was why Zerrin and other family members brought him food and he never went out on the hunt with them. Zerrin especially was the reason he was able to survive at all with his close inspection of meat that was brought to Bast'ion. Sure, the meat had juices but it was not red covered blood as much and the kirin lion could stand. The fish bleeding out was different as this was a living thing dying before him. He had eaten fish plenty of times before but he usually opted to eat the fish in one gulp if possible or, again, Zerrin would tend to his food for him. He felt his body weight shift to one side and he was pretty close to tumbling over. Luckily he managed to catch him self but the kirin lion was anything but graceful right now.

	Ushma mostly assumed that Bast'ion couldn't believe his eyes that she'd caught such a lovely fish. Served him right as far as she was concerned. The lioness picked the fish up in her maw and turned her back on him smacking him with her tail in the process. With one last judgmental look she looked over her shoulder and made a very loud 'Hrmph' sound before she padded off down the beach back towards her families den area. She was done and her point had been proven.

	Bast'ion could barely see straight as the lioness parted ways. He fell to his side and weakly stayed there for some time. The spray of rising sea levels finally woke him a few hours later and he too headed home. He needed to fix this weakness but he wasn't sure how. The training was so ingrained in his very being Bast'ion was pretty sure he'd never get over it.
