Located on the western coast of Johto just a ways from Ecruteak City you are welcomed by the ocean lined Olivine City. It is a major port city and is the home of the famous Glitter Lighthouse. The Glitter Lighthouse guides ships to the harbor as well as the S.S. Aqua connecting it to the port city in its sister region, Vermilion City in Kanto.

Maria was enjoying her time at home with her mom, Flaaffy, and Sunflora. She missed being in Olivine City. It was peaceful compared to the events of the winter festival. She filled her mom in on what happen the day she got home. As scary as it was she seemed alright with what happened and how Maria and Lillipup handled things. After that’s what her mom wanted, for her to get out there and make friends. Not that her mom wanted her to get into dangerous situations. That much Maria understood.

Heading downstairs Maria met her mother and Flaffy in the kitchen. “Morning mom, Morning Flaffy,” She greeted. “Have you seen Lillipup?” She asked. “No dear I can’t say I have.” Her mother replied. “Flaa~ffy~” (Outside I think.) The sheep Pokémon answered pointing to the door. “Thanks, Flaaffy,” The brunette replied before looking to Espurr on her shoulder. “Come on Espurr, let’s go.” She said running off out the door. Searching the area, she quickly spotted Sunflora in the garden like usual. “Hi Sunflora, seen Lillipup anywhere?” She asked the grass type. “Sun sunflora.” (She was chasing some birds away.) The flower Pokémon answered. “Espurr?” (Which direction?) The psychic type asked curiously. “Sunflora.” (That way.) Sunflora pointed. “Thanks, Sunflora,”

Once again Maria was off searching for Lillipup in the direction Sunflora had said. With Espurr’s help they eventually found her over by the port. It became clear that the pup had gotten distracted. “Lillipup!” Maria called out it her. “Pup!” (Maria!) She barked racing over. “What have you been up to?” She asked the small puppy Pokémon. “Pup pup~” (Just playing~) She replied happily with a wag of her tail. Maria could tell that Lillipup was happy to be back home. So was she so she wasn’t surprised. Not one bit. “Come on Lillipup, let’s go have some real fun.” Maria told Lillipup.

The three went off to have some fun before heading home for the day. It had been fun running around. Of course, running around also entailed trying to avoid Silvano. Why did they have to live in the same city? They were just on their way back, Lillipup was racing along with Espurr on her back. Suddenly the puppy Pokémon started to glow. “Lillipup!” Maria said in surprise. Espurr looked more shocked as he sat there in uncertainty. To move or not to move really… Lillipup grew before the light faded to reveal her new look. “You evolved…” Maria finished her sentence in shock. Espurr blinked from his stop on a larger dog.

“All that activity must have caused it.” The brunette was certainly happy for her furry friend. “Her her.” She barked happily in response. “Let’s go tell the others, Herdier. Race you.” With excitement the two raced off back to the house. Espurr holding on to the dog Pokémon for dear life. What Maria didn’t realize was that Lillipup had managed to get a hold of a candy in her bag when she wasn’t looking. Either way it was a nice surprise to end the day.
