Before you RP
► Once your character is approved to RP in Kiri, post a link to your profile in the registry. Every Kiri resident as a fuuin seal on their body. The size and design is up to you, but you cannot be without one. It will unlock your residence, prevent you from entering where you shouldn't, and other uses.

Entering/Exiting the Village
► As a kiri nin, you must sign in and out of the village, respectively. If you are leading Genin, you sign out for them as well, as their Guardian/Sensei. There are two Chuunin guards and one third guard of unknown rank as their leader. This is the same with the Land Entrance and the Dock Entrance. You cannot RP the NPCS actions, unless with Kage permission.

Guards, Gates, and the Walls
► There are two Chuunin guards and a third, of unknown rank and appearance, overseeing them. There is the Land Entrance, and a Dock Entrance. The Walls are a sheer, solid, stone and are monstrously tall at nearly half a mile tall, and as such seeing the village proper, or the walls themselves, is nearly impossible due to the obscene level of mist that pervades the land. The top rim can be patrolled via a walkway carved into the top.

What is Sero?
► The Sero is a mountain of a tree, towering over the Kirigakure lake. Staircases and elevators lace up the trunk. Offices and Shinobi/Special accomodation are built into its branches, with the Kage's office at the top. Only the highest-levelled shinobi are aware of the Three-Tailed demon, the Sanbi Isobu, is sealed within the Sero.

Old Kirigakure
► The original village is at the bottom of the lake, drowned by the sudden flooding from the ocean after an attack and activation of a jinchuriki seal. Many lives were lost. More details can be found in The Past.

Mizukage's Office
► The lobby to the office has been replaced by desks for use by organisers and spokesmen of various areas of the village, including civilian aspects. Krisella, the secretary to the Mizukage, can be found at her desk right outside the office door. This former Anbu is strict with requiring the proper paperwork, much to the Godaime's pleasure.

Communication Devices
► Due to the nature of the Sero, and the abundance of salt water, electronics are not the main medium of communication except in vital cicumstances. Trained birds have posts around the village that only go to the Sero offices. There is also a ferry that sails around the lake, delivering letters, parcels, and goods.

Mentions of Lanfaer
► Lanfaer was the RPer/Mizukage Yondame that drastically changed Kirigakure into what it is today. He has since left the Guild so any and all questions are to be directed to your current Mizukage, NOT Lanfaer.

Weather in Kiri
► The land surrounding the Village Hidden in the Mist is, shockingly, mist-filled and difficult to traverse. While the great walls that surround the village would normally be seen from a far distance, the mist spreads thick throughout most of the surrounding lands for miles. The only place this isn't completely obvious is outside the Mother Gates, due to the mist spreading only about half a mile from the shores of the island. As such, if coming from the ocean and knowing what to look for, the top of the enormous stone walls might well be seen on very, very good days.

The Sevenswordsmen
→→► Please refer to a below post for the swords available. Swords will only be given to Shinobi of Jounin rank or Chuunin who have proven themselves exceptional and/or an active RPer will be considered.

Demons
→→► There are two demons in The Land of Mist. Only one is available to be placed in a host. Some time ago, Kirigakure was given a poll to decide what to do with the Three-Tailed Demon, Sanbi Isobu. The village decided, as a whole, to use the Demon as a beneficial resource for all of Kiri's residents. This decision was made out-of-character so only high-levelled shinobi know of the Sanbi's fate. The Six-Tailed Demon, Rokubi Saiken, is the village's other demon.

Levels of Sero
► You may need a seal of certain clearance to access a floor. The Chuunin offices require your fuuin symbol to be a level two seal [ Lvl.2 ]. The offices, residences, and other areas of the Sero are as follows, from top to bottom;

Canopy : Kage's Office & Spokesmen/Organisers of the Village

Branches : Form Filling, Processing, & Sorting [Lvl.2]
Branches : Offices for Civilian Affairs
Branches : Anbu/Oinin Offices & Changing Rooms [Lvl.4]

Exterior of Village
► The land surrounding the Village Hidden in the Mist is, shockingly, mist-filled and difficult to traverse. While the great walls that surround the village would normally be seen from a far distance, the mist spreads thick throughout most of the surrounding lands for miles. The only place this isn't completely obvious is outside the Mother Gates, due to the mist spreading only about half a mile from the shores of the island. As such, if coming from the ocean and knowing what to look for, the top of the enormous stone walls might well be seen on very, very good days.
►The terrain of the Land of Water is mostly swamp or, in some places, bayou. Deep Louisiana, and the bad parts of Florida, reflect well the sort of terrain, and fauna, that live here. What few know about this land is that there was once a civilization of mysterious origin that lived on this island and worshiped strange, ethereal creatures with grotesque physical features. While this civilization is a dead one, there remains in places ruins of their works, ranging from abandoned temples of dubious structural integrity to entire sunken cities buried in silt and mud. Most of these can be found in the bayous, and there are hundreds of myths and legends that exist around these places.
►The village itself exists inside an enormous basin, set where a plateau once existed. During the Sero Crisis this terrain shifted and changed, rising in some places and lowering greatly in others until it came below sea level. Once the waters swelled that ended the Crisis it left the entirety of the village in a three mile wide (east to west), six mile deep (north to south, or Mother Gates to Father Gates) lake. The edges of this lake were made into monstrously tall walls, nearly half a mile tall, and as such seeing the village proper, or the walls themselves, is nearly impossible due to the obscene level of mist that pervades the land.

Interior of Village
→→► As described above in the third point, the village proper exists within the massive lake that surrounds the Sero Tree. This tree is enormous, just over an eighth of a mile [1/8, or 880 ft] thick, and reaching nearly into the clouds above. The Apartments, civilian living quarters, the village square, and most of the village in fact exists here, somehow grown from the wood of the Sero Tree itself to serve as the home of most of the village. At the top of the tree, where the branches that uphold the actual canopy of the massive tree begin, lays the small facility known as the Mizukage's Office. The walkways between different buildings are strong cable bridges, which can sway gently in the wind, while entire layers and districts are divided by lifts that move vertically, and in some cases horizontally, to ferry citizenry between.
→→► The Academy and Dojo, the Aburame Compound, the Bazaar and Craftings Island, the Hospital, and the Wanderer's Delight, the pub and inn that serves as a meeting place for all visitors to Kirigakure no Sato, are all arranged on islands surrounding the Sero Tree. Imagine, if you will, the wheel of a bicycle, with the center spoke being the Sero Tree while these buildings exist arranged around it like the tread of the tire. Some are closer, some are connected, and some are free moving. See the above picture, and the provided links, for more information about their design, and the rules that accompany their use.
→→► The village rests upon a lake, true, but below the waters the ruins of Old Kirigakure still remain. With a depth greater than that of the Sero's girth, over one thousand feet deep [1, 000 ft], the depths of the lake have yet to be fully explored, as the havoc brought on by the Sero Crisis rearranged much of the features below and caused strange, surreal changes to the flora and fauna below. All that is known is that the Mizukage, Jack Snipe, swore that the things that lived below would not harm them, as long as others remained relatively near the surface [no going more than one hundred feet down {100 ft}]

[T h eP a s t]
Much of the past of Kirigakure no Sato has been lost to constant strife, though some tidbits have fallen through the cracks over time. The Bloody Mist once ruled with an iron fist, a host of shinobi and politicians who fought for the right to be named strongest of the village shinobi. However, this fell out of practice when more practical, and ethical minds took over the village. Down the line the village became far more varied and less elitist, yet such elements remained to be a threat to those who would wish for unification through differences instead of similarities. It truly did not set in until more recent times, when the last Mizukage, known as Sypher Senju, took over. Sypher, himself a rogue Oinin from Kumogakure no Sato, became the spearhead for the inclusion party of the village, with a far more lax take on what was considered acceptable and overall redefining the laws of Kirigakure to leave a lasting effect.

[T h eP r e s e n t]
The present holds a bit more danger for the village, though thankfully not of the internal sort. With the dawning of the United Hidden Villages [U.H.V.] the struggle for dominance over the ways of elitism and inclusion came to a standstill. Or, perhaps it would be better to say the unknown enemy, a shinobi with the power of unleashing plagues of near supernatural origin, took to the streets of the village. The death and destruction of the village was nearly complete before Jack Harren Snipe, Shadow Hunyistir, Inka and Sypher Senju fought against the monstrosity and obliterated it. The cost, however, was great, with the only true positivity coming from the finding, and subsequent adoption, of a child known only as Minowa Jaeger. The origins of the child remain a mystery to the populace. After this occurance another tragedy struck in the form of an escaping of highly dangerous shinobi that had been somehow infected with a neurotoxin during treatment for their crimes. This attack led to a large number of changes within the Jonin ranks, ranging from Jack Snipe leaving the village for a time, Shadow Hunyistir losing both an arm and a student, as well as the further destruction and termination of life brought down upon the hospital.

The UHV finally made their assault upon Kirigakure no Sato when they unleashed a supernatural virus and strange, otherwordly jutsu to put the entire village in a time loop. The Mushroom Plague, as it was later called, weakened the moral of every shinobi as they were forced to watch loved ones die under brutal and cruel circumstances for an unknown reason. The ending of that particular scenario still leaves many scratching their heads, for none know how it was ended at all, only that the UHV was pushed back.

And now we come to the greatest calamity the village has ever face. The UHV, driven by a failure to leave any lasting physical damage upon the citizens of Kirigakure no Sato, unleashed the largest attack ever seen upon the village. In this case warning came early, thus allowing many to escape. Yet during the later defense of the village, something went wrong with the Sero seal, a defensive creation forged by Sypher Senju to defend the village in case of large scale tactics. A black barrier formed around the village outskirts, and all within changed, the entire landscape altering to become a twilit nightmare of what it once was. Those who escaped, barely a handful in all, spoke of friends and family being slaughtered before their eyes, and horrors that traumatized them, possibly for life. Now survivors are working to defend the village from an attack from the outside while a small team works deeper into the village to shut down the Sero seal to reclaim their home, before nothing of it remains.

The truth of the horror was worse than anyone could ever hope to guess: the Sero Seal had unleashed a corruption that had murdered everyone Oinin and most of the ANBU in a massive feeding frenzy to gain power, altering the world around it to defend the village. Without integrity the Seal had no way of knowing that what it did harmed the village instead of fixing it. As such, a war commenced, with the village Shinobi fighting against the Sero Seal as it summoned monstrosity after monstrosity to fend off these "invaders". At one point even Mi, the Konin Medic who was friend and family to many, was brought back to end the shinobi. This war came to an end when the Sero seal, its defender dying, cast forth a curse that created a wall of water miles high to come crashing down upon the city, washing any too slow to flee away to their deaths. The Shinobi had one, but at a cost.

Kirigakure no Sato, as everyone knew it, was gone.

Six months later and the village has been rebuilt, but in no way similar to what it used to be like. Now made of up islands surrounding the great Sero tree, Kirigakure has once more become the Village Hidden in the Mist, with a thick mist obscuring all form of sight from the shore of the Father Gate, two miles away, to the Mother gate, three miles in the opposite direction, mist covers all. Only at the tree itself does the mist relent, though only fifty feet from the rugged bark. The village had changed, and so too had its shinobi.

Mizukage's Eyes Only
• All Jutsu Jack Harren Snipe had in his possession, as well as how to apply and utilize them. Includes positives, negatives, cautionary tales on understanding limitations.

• All techniques possessed on Jack's body and staff, including a list of personal techniques that were not in previous pages. This particular page is keyed to the sigil of Inka and Shadow only. Anyone else would cause it to immolate everything within a 100 yard radius. This included a diagram used for best placement, suggestions for future techniques and desired abilities, including the ability to fly.

• A diagram of the village's defenses. This includes the unknown defenses few understood. The most important was his Golem technique he'd finished in private, called "Familiar Creation", that allowed him to cause the walls to form into mighty titans of stone, steel, and death upon command. There are ballista and catapults across the walls, and the doors, while slow and ponderous, will teleport closed in an instant at the Mizukages command. The ballistae and catapults, when touched by someone with a recognized Sigil, allows the user to load a predetermined list of jutsu into the weapon to be launched. These techniques could be switched at any time, and their costs pulled form Sero. Sigil users will also be able to load their own techniques into the weapon at +1 rank (kurabou effect), but costs must be then paid by user. Anyone not possessing a Sigil will never be able to activate the jutsu stored within.

• Within the office there is a "black box" of sorts, a hidden room under the floor that is still in the developmental stage. Within, a higher clearanced sigil bearer would be able to take over, man, and utilize every defense in the village from one point. THis includes hidden cameras all over the village allowing near unlimited view, achieved by having hidden fuinjutsu spread everywhere in tapestries, or just how designs. While the cameras work, and the weapons can be activated, the aiming of said weapons had yet to be figured out, and as such has never been tested.

• A list of every resident of the village, several of which have a line through their name and either "Saint" or "Sinner" written next to their name. Under Inka, "Sinner" had been written, crossed out, and "Further Testing needed" written over it

• A single page covered in 50 pre-made Sigils, along with an annotation as to how much chakra is required to create one (2, 392 cp).

• A list of every ANBU, as well as the divisions within the new ANBU and Oinin that, while under construction, had actually been in the process of implementation before leaving. Their are thoughts and notes taken in detailed fashion, including conversations with the Captains of both divisions to determine the best paths. There were also notes about creating standardized Sigil Matrices within the book. A Matrix, which was defined within the chapter, was a specific set of Sigils and fuinjutsu that carried jutsu within them that come as a sort of "set", chained altogether. To date, only three had been made, one for each Captain (2), and one for Inka (1). The one for Inka included a large number of explosive techniques, along with regeneration jutsu and healing jutsu that could be established with a thought. Invisibility was placed within the Matrix, as well as the basic academy techniques. A Single matrix often encompassed a tethered set of 10 techniques or more.

• Instructionals for dealing with the "Deep Deities" below the waters. Apparently the upheavel from the Sero Crisis and the chakra poisoning awoke something in the dark. Jack had established contact and report with these "deities", and made deals to protect the civilians above. IF anyone attempted to invade the village from below they would find a nearly literal Hell waiting for them, with horrific drawings and details scribbled about them. This includes the rules and regulations, including the process of creating "Talismans" that were medallions infused with chakra in a particular way to ward off the evil chakra below.

• A page dedicated to storing 8 items. 5 of them are tethered to the Blades of the Mist, with the names of current holders written on them. One had Jack's name above it: Semehada. Details on this page indicated that each blade had been tethered directly to this book, and to the Sigils of the Mizukage and the Consuls. It would allow the blades to be instantly teleported to either their original hiding place (not mentioned) or directly to the summoner, which could only be one of the previous three. The seals upon the blades look like part of their original design and are hidden, as such making it impossible to detect (as far as Jack was concerned, who was using Sage Mode to see them). The eighth item is something else entirely, called "Revelations", with no indication as to exactly what it is.

• A list of a few hidden facts, listed in noted fashion:

→ Minowa was effected by some sort of force growth within the Sero, and as such might be a key to discovering just how to control, or permanently remove, the taint from the Sero. Experiments were never planned due to preordained combat with Inka if it was ever attempted, but a schedule was laid out to discuss with Minowa as to what he knew.

→ According to Minowa, Sypher is still alive. Given the scent and chakra trails, Jack was inclined to agree, but without any knowledge of exactly where he'd gone there was no means of currently tracking him.

→ Sypher was...into something. Records are scarce, but there were indications that somewhere in the Land of Water there is a hidden bunker where experiments took place on criminals and those captured under Sypher's command. Where it is, and what all happened, was investigation at the time of Jack's "death".

→ There were rumors that the Devourer is still at large, potentially hiding within one of the many ruins and temples across the lands of Water. A strict order from Jack is to avoid all signs of his existence, but to notify Jack immediately if it is believed his location has been discovered.(edited)
Lanfaer - Last Wednesday at 01:01

• A chapter begins with the words "These must never see the light of day again". This chapter is likewise locked as similar parts, that anyone without proper Clearence reading would find their brains assaulted by some of the most powerful genjutsu in creation to drive the reader mad. The insides of the chapter detail Jack's history with what he called "cursed artifacts", items ranging from a bracer that causes paranoia to feed the demon within it to a puzzle box that, when questions aren't answered in time, can unleash a devastation that would level countries. There are bells that can control the dead, bound spirits of powerful evil monstrosities, and a dagger that can control Jinchuuriki. But worse is that all of these run on something outside of Chakra, something Jack had dubbed "magic" for lack of better words. The following chapter takes up an extensive amount of space, listed nearly two hundred artifacts of varying degrees of horror and evil that go far beyond anything Jutsu had, to date, been seen to be possible. Jack believed these were coming through his Island, where, he believed, something or someone had torn through the fabric of space time in order to come here. Things from other places were coming here, and bringing with them their own breed of terror. Jutsu would be nearly useless on stopping them, but an equal amount of the chapter has been dedicated to rituals, items, and incantations that could be used to capture and contain the artifacts. To Jack's knowledge, all of them were secure on his Island where he hid them within his room. However..there is a hurried scribble in frightened hand on one side, the ink clearly newer than the rest. All it said was "they have escaped!!!" It is possible this was written just before his "death".

• There is information that, under Jack's desk and to the left, there is a hidden compartment with 50,000 stored Chakra and Stamina to be used at his discretion, or the discretion of the Consuls.

• Chapters on Clearence. This chapter holds something...interesting. There was a hidden clearance level that no one knew about, one that superseded even Jack's. Known as "Alpha Clearance", this Sigil allowed for the complete shutdown or takeover of the Sigil system within the village. It could only be activated under dire circumstances, or if the owner believed at any time that the Mizukage was a threat to his or her own village. At the time of this creation, Shadowseeker Hunyistir was the bearer of this sigil.

• There are numerous sections on Jack's different items, abilities, and his concerns regarding the other villages. It seems the final section of the book is more of a journal than anything else, with aspirations for the village, plans and protocols he intended to complete and to explain. There was talk of "testing" Kaileer, of some sort of invasion coming from the south, of plans and details for the Chunin exams. The last part is, however, possibly the most concerning, and was dated to the night before Jack "died".

→ "There was a time I would have ignored the signs, feigning ignorance to ignore what stands before my eyes. Junan...he should never has escaped. What could End's goal be in all of this, then? His Herald isn't something meant for this world, but for the other. This was...too early. Too hasty. The Game was never meant to be played here, by my request. And yet...Shadow...Shadow lost everything. His memories, his...He'll never know, either. But it's worse than that. I cannot lie, not here, not when I might not live to see tomorrow. Inka, if you are reading this, then I am dead. Or, at the very least, close to it, and no longer of any use to you. I had many dreams for Kirigakure, but...I am a threat to it. You have a darkness within you that you know, that you face day in and day out. Few know that I have something...similar, but less so. My other self is real, is alive in ways I cannot explain. And it is taking me over. I have been staving it off in the hopes that I could bring my dreams to fruition, but there are things you need to know. The Truth. The Nightmare and Dream Scapes the village was struck by was my fault. Within these pages you have seen a congolmeration of different types of techniques and Matrices, but you did not see the most important one: I found a way to link the activation of my abilities to my mind. I had built a defense within the wall that allowed me to take part of my island and bring it here, the ultimate defense where reality itself could be bent for our survival. It...something happened. I had not slept in weeks, not one moment of true slumber or rest. And when at last I fell...he took control. He activated the defenses and brought himself fully aware and awake, a God among you all. I tried to stop him, and the best I could do was turn it into a Test. I...am sorry.

→ And now, it has told me it will never stop. It will take over one day, and...I fear I won't be strong enough. For all my abilities, my knowledge and training and experience, I am reduced to tears at a living boogeyman. Please, Inka. Take all I know, take my strength, and do what I could not: defend this home. Defend the place that gave me purpose. You are better than you know."

• There is one final page, a note that, oddly, seems written in a pristinely archaic handwriting. It explains that the Juxtaposition technique utilized within Jack's office is still operational, and can be utilized to teleport directly to any location with another Gate made. This also allows the inside of the office to be teleported to other locations, which Jack was rather fond of doing. These locations have been marked on a map, and oddly includes a specific place somewhere in the middle of the ocean.

Mizukage
→→► The Mizukage of Kirigakure no Sato is part president, part commander in chief, and part defender of the village. They decide the policies, laws, and punishments, the distribution of authority, the educational material, and the distribution of internal defensive units of the village in order to govern its continued existence and the path it takes. As commander in chief, they are the top tier of command within the military, the Shinobi, and is at the top of the chain of command. Just how much direct supervision is used in each varying area may change depending on who holds the office, but depending on how one looks at it this position could easily be seen as the King in a monarchy.
Consul of War
→→► Under Jack Harren Snipe the running of the village was split between three branches of control. Advisers to the Mizukage, the Consul of War and Peace control specific assets within the village, with only the Mizukage above them in authority. The Consul of War serves as the controller of ANBU and Oinin forces, the director of all outer-village activities, as well as the one half of the authority if the Mizukage is, at any time, rendered incapable of performing their duties.
Consul of Peace
→→► As explained by the Consul of War, the Consul of Peace is one of the two advisers to the Mizukage as directed by Jack Harren Snipe. The Consul of Peace is the director of all things Medical, and in direct control of village defense. Where the Consul of War is in control of all external activities relating to the village, the Consul of Peace is in direct control of inner-village operations. The Police Force, known as the Protectors, or the "Phantom Corp", while ANBU, report instead to the Consul of Peace as their purpose is to protect and serve the population of citizenry.
Commander
→→► A Commander is a leader of a Squadron. While the title in no way gives additional authority in and of itself, these people are still given respect as they help shape the future Shinobi of the village.
Sannin
→→► Sanin, numbering three [3] total, are the most elite and wise of the village. Power need not be required, though should be warranted. Sanin represent the most trusted of villagers, allowed to come and go as they please, though a note left for the Mizukage as to the whereabouts would be nice in the case of an emergency. Sanin may take one [1] apprentice under their wing to personally train.
Konin
→→► Also known as "Special Jounin", Konin are more trusted and specialized than their Jounin counterparts. A Konin is often assigned a specific aspect of the village to govern, from Squad Monitoring, Accounting, Structural Security, and the Academy to field ops for mining and other jobs. Konin are allowed to maintain their own personal field of study that need not be supervised, but still requires Mizukage approval. Given higher Clearance than others, with few limitations outside of restricted facilities for specific divisions.
Jounin
→→► Jounin are the most common of "adult" Shinobi. Their jobs are varied, ranging from specialist work such as ANBU and Oinin to more wide-ranging jobs, such as teaching or observation. With a Level 3 Clearence, Jounin are able to access many forms of study, techniques, and other restricted information that is limited in scope to non-dangerous information.
Chunin
→→► This title belongs to those who have proved capable as a Shinobi, to begin learning and grooming for a direct career within the Shinobi ranks. New fields are open to Chuunin, including the ability to start focusing their studies and abilities in a more refined, definitive way. Some trust is given to Chuunin, a Level 2 Clearance that allows them
Genin
→→► Congratulations! Graduation day was yesterday, and the Genin has begun their introduction to being an official Shinobi of Kirigakure no Sato. Granted your license as well as the Level 1 Clearance that all Genin need, you are able to access the Academy and Dojo in less restricted away, as well as assigned to a squadron and commander with which to begin your career!
Academy Student
→→► For reasons unknown, or known, the character has selected to begin their first steps on the road to being Shinobi. Clearance Level 0, same as that of regular citizenry, with a slight twist: access to introductory classes within the academy and Dojo, as long as escorted by a Level 2 Clearance or higher. The goal of every academy student is to be taught what it means to be a Kirigakure no Sato Shinobi, what it means to be a citizen of the Land of Water, and become a Genin.

[T h eP u r p o s eO fR a n k]

___[Genin]
______→ Genin are students first and foremost, without experience to guide their movements or stay their hands. As such, they receive a Lv 1 Clearance, kept away from more powerful methods of training, and locations, that they have not proven themselves worthy of.
______→ Each Genin is required to train under their squad leader's supervision. This means no solo training, and a restriction that prevents any and all Lv 1 (Meaning Genin) from accessing any form of scroll training.
______→ Genin are unable to take missions from the missionboard. Only a Lv 2 and above are able to unlock the glass protecting the mission board, meaning that the Squad Leader must hand these out.

___[Chunin]
______→ Chunin are the helpers, the undergraduates of Kirigakure no Sato. Their primary purpose is to facilitate communication between the Genin, Jounin, and Konin at any and all times. They are also granted a Lv 2 Clearance.
______→ Upon becoming Chunin, the shinobi is able to seek special approval from the Mizukage to select one location in which only they are allowed, allowing them a personalized training location. These locations are bordered off, and must only be used for training or learning of new techniques. Doing so grants an additional two post reduction [-2] to training.
______→ Chunin are allowed to train themselves, having access to scrolls, but they must still check in with the Mizukage from time to time for special orders.
______→ At the halfway point between Chunin and Jonin, a Chunin must choose a Vocation in which to focus their studies. These vocations are: ANBU, Oinin, Medic, Enchanter, and Instructor. Once chosen, only the Mizukage may allow a change.

___[Jounin]
______→ Jounin are the true fighting force of any village. They are given a Lv 3 Clearance and are considered true "adults" of the village, with rites and responsibilities befitting this.
______→ A Jounin is able to leave the village at any time, as long as notice is given to the Mizukage as to where they are going.
______→ A Jounin must have selected a Vocation as a Chunin, and this Vocation must be continued unless due cause is given.

___[Konin]
______→ Konin are the elite of the village, and serve more often as one man armies than anything. Within the village they often serve as instructors, or guards of important information or objects.
______→ Each Konin is given a very specific mission, or detail, that they are in charge of. More often than not, this will include specific aspects of the village, such as overseeing non-residents within the village, the teaching of all genin, chunin, and jonin, or even so far as to include all imports and exports from the village.
______→ A Konin has Lv 4 Clearance, and puts them on par with Advisers. However, the Advisers will still have supervisory status over the Konin.
______→ Konin receive a 25% discount on all purchased goods from the village.

___[Sanin]
______→ Only three Sanin ever exist at one time. They have lv 4 Clearance.
______→ Sanin are able to take their leave from the village and move about, but each is given one mission they must perform every time they leave. Such missions are extremely difficult, and are often village-influencing.
______→ Sanin may take one apprentice unto themselves, though the choice must be approved by the Mizukage,
______→ Sanin receive a 50% discount on all purchased goods within the village.

___[1.]A Murder by Any Other Name...
______→ ...is still a murder. Killing without the sanction of the Mizukage or one of his/her advisors is considered a high crime.
___[2.]Disrespect of a Superior
______→ Kirigakure no Sato is part of the Hidden Village system, which means it is a military structure with a military hierarchy. The Chain of Command is quite simple, with the titles serving as authority in case of question. Genin follow the commands of Chunin, Chunin follow Jounin, Jounin follow Konin, Konin follow Sanin, and Sanin follow Advisers. In the case of conflicting orders always follow the higher rank's order first. Disregard for this hierarchy is considered a Mid Crime.
___[3.] Access to Academy and Dojo Scrolls
______→ Due to the nature of the Squadron system the training of "Lone Wolf" characters takes a hit. Scrolls, for the Academy, Dojo, and Missions, are locked out of sight of the Genin ranks. Access must be granted by squad leaders who must open the doors manually, their supervisor status allowing their tattoos to bypass the security and open the doors.
___[4.] Tattoo Clearance
______→ The village has evolved, taking into account a sort of "Magi-Tech" system. Chakra runs through every part of the village, from the bedrock to the top most leaves of the Sero Tree. To open the door of any Shinobi facility, a Lv 1 Clearance is required. Lv 0, which is a citizen of Kirigakure no Sato, is still required to access any door or service within the confines of the Mother and Father Gates, unless specified otherwise. Jutsu useage without a Tattoo will trigger defenses immediately. Removal of these tattoos at any time, or the attempted replica, is considered a High Crime and will be punished as such.
___[5.] What is Built Here, Stays Here
______→ No matter what is built within the confines of the Mother and Father Gates, each item will require the seal of Kirigakure no Sato be placed upon it, requiring a special technique that only Lv 4 Clearanced members may place upon it. Few exceptions are made, and when in doubt, always assume a seal is required. For the creation of such objects or services to be without the seal, special Clearance is required by a Lv 5 or 4 carrier, meaning an Adviser, Konin, or the Mizukage theirself.
___[6.] Exploration of the Depths
______→ Given the foul nature of the chakra released by Sero, it is believed that the depths of the lake below may carry vestiges of the corrupted Sero's power. This could take the form of curses, of monsters, and any manner of oddities. As such, exploration of deeper than two hundred feet [200] is forbidden without special clearance from a Lv 4 or 5 carrier.
___[7.] The Walls
______→ The Walls of the Mother and Father gates which encircle the entirety of Kirigakure no Sato are not to be utilized by Lv 1 Clearanced carriers, meaning Genin or lower, unless escorted by a Lv 3 or higher. All Clearance is checked before stepping foot atop the titanic walls.
___[8.] Free Trade
______→ Trade is prosperous, and good. Due to the lack of trade shops and crafters within the village, until further notice all shops and crafting missions will bestow a further [20%] increase to all [Ryo] rewards or gains, with the extra coming from the Mizukage's personal coffers. These reimbursements must be brought to the Mizukage's awareness in detailed writing.

[T h eL a wO fT h eM i s t {Out of Character}]

___[1.] Clearance.
______→ The Clearance System cannot be ignored. Ignoring this system is the same as Metaplaying, and will be treated as such. If you are a member of Kirigakure you will get a tattoo. There are no exceptions.
Rank 0 : Civilian level
Rank 1 : Genin level
Rank 2 : Chuunin level
Rank 3 : Jounin level | Chuunin Commander
Rank 4 : High-level Administrators | Kōnin | Jounin Commander
Rank 4a : Anbu level
Rank 4b : Oinin Level
Rank 5 : Consuls | Sannin
Rank 6 : Kage
___[2.] Read Everything
______→ Firstly, if you are found ignoring other people's posts, you will be reprimanded. Secondly, you are responsible for reading any and all announcements and being aware of what is happening in the village. Plain, and simple.
___[3.] The Swordsman of the Mist
______→ People know they exist, just not who has them, or where you get them.
___[4.] The Bloody Mist
______→ This does not exist. Reference to it in a history is banned, as it has not existed for nearly thirty [30] years. The hostility to Bloodlines and Kekkei Genkai is no more, and, too, should not be referenced. These things are relics of the past.
___[5.] Ancestry
______→ RPC's and NPC's background are not to be played with. Nor any of the past RPC's. What is meant by this is that no one may reference these people in their pasts without speaking to the controller of those RPC's, both past and present.
___[6.] Gaining Ranks
______→ Keep in mind that the Mizukage of the village is not required to give Title Ranks (Genin, Chunin, etc) just because an RPC gains enough AC to gain their next Body Rank (D, C, B, etc).
___[7.] E - Ranks
______→ The guild might have gotten rid of E - ranked characters overall, but under Kirigakure no Sato they will return. Anyone may start play as an E - rank if they so desire, in which case they will have no classes, or disciplines, and will just simply be an academy student. These have lv 0 (citizen) Clearance, and begin with -100 AC. There will be specific missions for these, as well as advancement opportunities that no one else will receive. Still, these are primarily for people who want to Role Play pre-academy graduation characters. When applying for a character, make sure to write that this is specific to Kirigakure, and link BlackFruity as the person to approve the profile.
___[8.] In Character
______→ As a general rule, thiss guild should be run "in character", meaning nothing is meant to be taken out of character or out of context. These rules and regulations, these changes, are based off of in character decisions and changes. As such, do not come to the Mizukage Out of Character and complain. If there is an issue, speak to the Mizukage when you see him in the Role Play.
___[9.] Shinobi Registry
______→ Post your profile in the registry before you begin RPing. Not doing so could nullify any completed missions/rewards.

Shinobi Subtypes play an important role within the village Squadron System, as they define the path of training a shinobi will take, and the role they will play within specific missions. At the rank of Genin, a shinobi selects four [4] Subtypes they will begin training towards. When in missions assigned to their Squadron, the Commander will determine which of these four roles the Genin will take for that mission. For the next four [4] missions, the Genin will swap out each of their choices, to give them a taste of that role within a mission setting. Once these have been completed, a discussion will occur in character to determine the results of their missions, to see which roles were better fulfilled. During Chuunin Rank, the Shinobi must determine which two of the four [2/4] Subtypes they will choose to continue on with. At any time this choice will be made, and they must begin training in those two [2] Subtypes selected. At Jounin, the Shinobi must inform the Mizukage upon receiving their rank which of the two will be their Primary Focus, and their Secondary Focus. These will define the Shinobi's role within the village structure from that day forward, and will help they continue with their studies. These choices are not optional, as all Genin must pick four [4], and Chuunin must decide by Jounin rank which two [2] Subtypes they will be continuing on with. The Subtypes, and their descriptions, are written below.

Paladin
→→► One of the "Categories", or "Subtypes" of shinobi within the village, a Paladin is a shinobi whose primary focus for techniques and training is on defense. Paladins serve as the defenders within squads, or, as those of the video game era might call them, the "tanks" of their squadrons.

Artillerist → Cloaked and Siege
→→► Artillerists are another Subtype of shinobi, as listed below, who are defined by their focus on long-ranged combat. A Cloaked Artillerist fit the "sniper" archetype, who focus on dealing precise damage and taking down individual targets often through stealth means. The reverse side, Siege Artillerists are long-ranged combatants who focus on dealing area-of-effect damage or effects. Ninjutsu Specialists, Genjutsu users, and other area of effects fighters can be classified as Siege Artillerists, and there is even stories of a secret Demolition Brigade that is made up exclusively of the strongest Siege Artillerists in the village who are the hidden weapon of Kirigakure no Sato. Purely rumor, of course.

Cleric
→→► Though a strange title often associated with faith-based healing or administration, Clerics are a subtype of shinobi that deal specifically with eisejutsu. Medics both of the healing and the damaging sort, fall under the Cleric subtype more often than not. These are awarded a specific level of Clearance that allow them to restricted parts of the Hospital.

Shadow
→→► A Shadow is a type of combatant, more often than not of the more melee persuasion, who serve as stealth fighters or information gatherers. A subtype of Shinobi, Shadows are often trained into either the Oinin or ANBU divisions that require the stealthier approaches. They serve as scouts in squadron tactics, moving with each through stealth to locate threats before their comrades come in contact with them.

Artisan
→→► Another Subtype, an Artisan is a shinobi who focuses on either crafting items for village or squadron use, or who focus on learning techniques that can "enchant" objects that others might use. While this subtype is rarely chosen, they are held in high regard and often paid more than the average worker, for their Sigils are granted specific clearance to allow them into restricted portions of the village for maintenance or construction purposes.

Infantry
→→► The Infantry are, perhaps, the most common of Shinobi Subtype within Kirigakure no Sato. As their name suggests, they serve as the primary warriors and fighters within a squadron, more often than not fighting at relatively close range and serving as the main aggressive force within the Squadron system.

Swordsman of the Mist
→→► A mythical group of warriors that, in the past, were simply a group of individuals gifted with unique weaponry, the Swordsman of the Mist total, traditionally, seven in total. Due to changes made by Jack Harren Snipe, the Seven Swords of the Mist have changed somewhat in purpose within the village itself. Instead of serving as gifts to the strongest of Bukijutsu experts, the Blades are now gifted to the bodyguards of the Mizukage after going through perhaps the most difficult training regiment ever devised, though the details of these are hidden and classified from all save the Mizukage and the Consul of War. The Swordsman are the most elite of Kirigakure Shinobi, and while traditionally only Bukijutsu users were allowed to possess a blade, it is now known that Jack Harren Snipe, the Mizukage, will allow anyone of any type of Shinobi to attempt for a Blade, for the story goes that the Blades themselves were changed by the Sero Crisis and are now fundamentally different than their original selves. Whether this is the case or not remains uncertain, for no new Swordsmen have been named since the Crisis. All that is known is that to be a Swordsman is the be the most elite of Kirigakure forces, and to be the last line of defense should the village itself ever be attacked. When selecting this Subtype, please include an additional Subtype, listing as "Swordsmen (----)". This will signify what role you intend to play within the Seven Swordsman.

ANBU
→→► ANBU are a Subtype of Shinobi that are, oddly, relatively well known among villagers. However, their actions and missions are classified beyond words, with only two people in the village ever knowing the full extent of their services. ANBU serve many purposes, with their own subtypes and their own regulations, but they can be split up as this: the Mist Wraiths, which are the spies and information gatherers; the Phantom Corp, which are the police force of the village proper and are referred to commonly as "Protectors"; and finally, the Kraken Division, which serve as the Kirigakure no Sato's "Port Authority", in control of the Warehouse District and the docks themselves. All imports and exports, as well as nautical missions, are controlled by these. When choosing ANBU, please select another Subtype. This will be what you plan to do when working in the ANBU.

Oinin
→→► Like ANBU, Oinin is a Subtype of Shinobi that is somewhat less well known, but no less classified. Oinin serve as the hunters of the village, hunting down rogues, information, and other operations based outside the walls of the village. There are multiple subtypes of Oinin that are listed in the Jobs section of the guild, and while ANBU might have unique jobs within Kirigakure no Sato, Oinin follow the descriptions and jobs listed under that heading. Like ANBU, when selecting Oinin as a Subtype please include a secondary choice written as "Oinin (-----)", which will describe the intended role you will have within the Subtype.
