The sea breeze smelled wonderful. The sand soft beneath his paws. And there was a lovely lady by his side. This was... the perfect spot. It took some time, wandering along the shore, looking for a path down and beaches that weren't covered in sharp rocks. But eventually, paradise was found. Not exactly hidden but far enough away to be an inconvenience to go to. Lijen grinned widely.

"Will this do, my dear?" Lijen asked with a murmur as a careful eye ran along the dikes to see potential spots. He needed to find a reef to find the fish he needed.

Saisana followed Lijen as they headed for the sea, although she was careful to make sure they weren't heading closer to the Stormborn lands. All of the shore there was cliffs, though, so to find a good swimming spot they'd have to venture away from the rocky ledges. It didn't take too long to find a sandy part, thankfully, and when asked about the location she nodded.

"This looks good," she said before shoving the lion with a grin. "You sure are polite. 'Dear'....puh, just Saisana will do. C'mon, last one there's a rotton vulture egg!" She dashed forward, breaking away from the male as she charged down towards the sea.

Well, she sure was a playful one. Letting out a laugh, he followed after her. He was going to let her win but some ladies didn't like that; because of this, he had to keep right on her tail, sometimes moving past her, but inevitably falling back. It wasn't hard to lose, either; stormborn ladies sure were made of a different stuff. Even with his quick stepping and his experience with his line of work, he wasn't sure if he'd be able to beat the female by more than a few tail hairs.

They had finally made it to the sea. The sea breeze was freshing and the coarse sand was a nice change. It wasn't the softest sand. But the constant crash of waves and currents sure grounded it up finely enough. He grinned, eyes already looking towards a dike that may have the fish he was looking for. "So, Ms. Saisana... have you been fishing before?" he asked curiously. Fishing in the ocean, he wasn't too experienced with. He's only done it a few times before, at much calmer beaches. Of course, fresh water was easy enough, however. Perhaps he should have brought a net... the chances of being thrown into the sharp rocks here were high.

Saisana enjoyed the little race, nudging against the male as they pulled neck and neck at times. She wasn't above playing just a bit dirty to win, after all! But in the end she reached the beach first, a little pep in her step as she pranced around on the sand. Ha, not a rotten vulture egg~

The question made her tilt her head as she gazed at the sea. She had never been fishing here before, although out in the rogue lands it was common to stop and try to catch some in the rivers and lakes they passed.

"Yes and no," she said as the waves crept up the beach to her toes. "Not in the sea. Few times out in the rogue lands. Why, you hungry?"

Lijen considered her a bit. It would be a disaster is she wasn't used to the rough waters. Perhaps... staying away from the dikes would be best. That way, he could judge her skill in a lighter current. "I'm looking for a certain fish," he replied easily before moving into the water, enjoying the spiky ice feeling that shot up. "Care for a swim?" he asked teasingly, looking over his shoulder.

Playfully, he scooped a paw through the water quickly, splashing water in her direction.

"A certain fish?" she echoed, following him into the water after a few moments. The splash tossed any sort of hesitation aside as she pounced forward, landing on her belly in the water to make a little wave wash up Lijen.

"Good luck! The sea is huge," she said with a laugh as she swam out a bit until her paws couldn't touch. She paddled around, enjoying the weightless feeling swimming offered. "What are you looking for it for?"

Lijen laughed, moving a bit away from the splash, and followed her further in the water. It felt strange but good, feeling his heavy mane become weightless. He hummed amusingly, standing just where the water reached his shoulder, pondering. The waves were trying to knock him off his feet but, for the most part, he was sturdy.

He watched Saisana swim, amused and happy to just watch her. She really was a pretty lady. But then, most ladies he met were pretty. "I need the scales," he replied easily.

Saisana directed herself back towards Lijen, her toes scraping the bottom about where his did. She found footing and walked around him, peering into the water. "Well, I'll help you look but I can't guarentee that I'll find anything," she said, squinting into the murky, shifting waters. "What's it look like?"

"It may not even be in this area," Lijen pointed out, thinking about it more. He could always come back and look for the fish. Not reason to endanger this lady's life. Smiling, he nudged her. "Why don't we have fun for a bit, instead of looking around for a fish that may not even be here?" he asked with a hum.

Saisana lifted her head, and amused look on her face. Fun, hm? She had the feeling he wasn't talking about her kind of fun which included sparring and races. She could humor him, though. He was nice enough and he had put up with her antics thus far without losing his cool. A guy like that deserved to be rewarded.

"Sure," she said as if he had offered her a bite of a kill rather than something a bit more intimate. "But I don't think the sea is the kinda place you wanna have fun in," she said teasingly, giving him another splash. "There's some caves around here somewhere," she added, nodding up to the land once more. "C'mon. I'll show you." She slogged out of the water, giving her fur a good shake to spray extra droplets everywhere. She would be wet for some time yet, but so would he, so it wasn't too big of an issue to her.

"This way," she said, trotting off in the direction they had come from.
