The drama seemed to cease for the green lion brandishing a new
article - his eye patch. The patch had been carelessly made from a patch of hide and some leather material strung through his mane. The gash that was his eye socket was still fairly swollen and yet he was bound, and determined, to free himself from the grips of a healing bed. Ali wanted nothing more than to gather up his items, some of which had been damaged and one of which had been stolen, so that he could be on his way.

Leaving was easier than he had expected. The pride hadn't been pushy about his staying, he would be his own lion again, sore as he was he was happy. A lioness did give him a salve though for the wound he hadn't completely let heal to which he smiled and accepted.

Now he was on his own.

With the borders behind him and a goal in mind he was well on his way to finding out more. The pouch he had lost in an impromptu fight contained an item that was special - one that he had forgotten to actually give as a present. Scowling to himself he began to become the picture of hate, though he was actually fairly friendly. "Damn lioness." The bitterness he felt tinged the words and he felt a small amount of relief. He'd travelled the roguelands many times before so unless she hid somewhere in a pride he felt confident he would find her.

Until then he would be purely travelling.

"Ngome, my boy, you are in for a world of experiences, the more you hang out with me," Rangi was saying, for the hundredth time, as the strange duo made their way across the rogue lands. The rainbow maned lion was determined to visit every pride, and leave his colors behind, so to speak. Ngome, for his part, was just interested in making sure Rangi did not get himself killed.

It was turning out to be a more difficult quest than he really wanted. But he was committed now, by some silent promise he made for no real reason whatsoever.

It wasn't like he had anything better to do, anyway.

"Hello there!" Rangi was saying, and Ngome stirred from his thoughts to see the smaller lion racing away from him to jovially greet a stranger up ahead. The green lion looked to be in a bit of a state, and it made Ngome nervous. He charged, catching up to Rangi easily and standing beside him like a massive wall, just in case this green stranger ended up being a fighter or someone with a short temper.

Rangi, oblivious, grinned at the other lion warmly. He was always interested in pelts, and the markings of others. Males or females, really: if they had beauty to share, then he was keen on seeing it.

"Your wings are wonderful!"
