Scarlet Crusade: Exalted Themes

Exalted Themes
Throughout the gameplay, it is possible to pick up one a second theme (that does not replace your original theme) should you join a particular faction or complete a particular series of events. Dependent on the theme in question, joining may be as simple as a choice, or there may be "works" one has to complete in order to become a full fledged member. You cannot start with these themes, as they must be acquired through gameplay. These themes provide similar bonus mechanics as regular themes in the game, but work in tandem with your existing theme and are not required at character creation. Exalted themes are roles you pick-up and develop over time, rather than roles you are simply born with. Exalted themes can change based on your choice during gameplay, however reverting back to an older theme can be difficult depending on it's source. Exalted theme's can be changed throughout gameplay as the opportunities present themselves, so picking up a new theme along the game is entirely possible, however it will overwrite the existing Exalted theme. Some themes are harder to change than others, and some are more difficult to regain.

Breath of Arkhosia

Level 1
Bonus: You gain a +2 bonus to Perception and Insight. You may add your highest ability modifier as extra hitpoints to your healing surge value, instead of your constitution modifier. In addition, you gain an extra use of the "Dragon's Breath" Dragonborn racial encounter power. You may also choose to enhance your Dragonborn Dragon Breath racial encounter power. This includes additional ongoing effects, and the ability to change the attack from a Close Blast 3 to a Close Burst 1 and an Area Burst 1. The power's text is instead replaced with the following.

Level 5
Bonus: You deal an extra +2/3/4 extra damage when you are bloodied. In addition, you can increase the size of your Dragonbreath racial power to a Close Blast 5, Close Burst 2, or Area Burst 2. In addition, you can change the shape to a 2 x 10 line, a diamond 4 squares in every direction from you, or a progressive pyramid shape opening up from a 1, to 3, to 5, to 7. The shape of the new Dragon Breath blasts are as following.

Level 10
Bonus: You gain a +2 bonus to all saving throws, and +4 bonus to saving throws against ongoing damage. You may use any damage type associated with your Dragon Breath racial encounter power, instead of just the one you chose at character creation. However, you may only use one type per attack. Powers that allow you to use more than one damage type still apply. In addition, you gain one extra type of effect with the damage type you've chosen. You can deal radiant and fire damage, lightning and thunder, acid and force, necrotic and cold, and poison and psychic.
