Now that Larak had left Sorra to her own devices, he was more than happy to wander around on his own. He felt like he had to monitor constantly at first, but Larak had no interest in watching her bathe, a sentiment he suspected that she would appreciate equally.

So instead, he walked around his pride lands, looking either for an Emkurcar he could terrify into bringing him a meal or finding someone on his level who he could speak with. There were plenty Nergui, so finding someone, no matter their rank, wouldn't be too much of a chore. It would be finding a lion who didn't want to fight upon seeing him, even if it was just to say hello, that would be more challenging.
