Nickame: Isolde
Bio: Leona's first pokemon, closest friend and partner. They are nigh inseparable. Ever since she was a riolu, Isolde was fond of Leona. They grew up together, trained together, and fought together. As such, their bond is quite close. Leona believes Isolde tends to worry too much over her, but Leona does have a tendency to push herself too far. There have been many times where they had to pull each other back from the brink, Leona calming Isolde down, or Isolde having to pump Leona up. They help to balance each other out, with Leona's calm composition and Isolde's fiery fighting spirit.

Bio: This aggron originally belonged to Leona's father as his partner pokemon. Leona has always looked up to him as a hallmark for how strong and dependable she wanted her bond with Isolde to be. It's a wonder he and Leona ever got along though, since he always seemed to be annoyed by her as a child as she climbed on him and studied his husk until her father split them apart, but he never tried to hurt her, nor did he ever really get that angry with her. He actually misses the days when Leona was a child, but he respects the woman she has become. Though Galahad puts off a front that he believes Leona to be somewhat of a nuisance, he cares quite deeply for her. He's just an old grumpy and grizzled pokemon that doesn't like to take orders, but he still respects Leona's wishes.... For the most part.

Bio: When promoting soldiers to be captains of a unit, it was tradition in Leona's area to allow an Aegislash to choose who should be worthy of promotion, given their unique ability to sense good leadership qualities in people. When Excalibur chose Leona, she was gifted with the Aegislash as a partner and a weapon to fight with in the war. Their relationship is still more professional than anything else, given that Leona was only promoted fairly recently at the time, however Excalibur is certain in his decision to stick with Leona and watch her become the leader he knows she is capable of being.

Bio: The Cardonells are no strangers to mines and caves, being the steelsmiths they were, and have always gotten along fairly well with the rock and steel types within. Leona was always particularly fond of Uther, a jolly old soul of a steelix whom her father had befriended in the caves where he procured the ore he needed for blacksmithing. Uther would always entertain Leona while her father worked, allowing her to climb along his back and slide back down. As she grew older however, Leona relied on Uther to help herself and her father to dig up more ore and gems, and when they had to move for the war effort, Uther came along with the family and Leona, having grown too attached to let them leave without him.

Bio: Leona has raised Percival up from a tiny karrablast, admiring his spunk and drive, however his quick temper and hasty nature have gotten them both into plenty of trouble. Percy tends to bite off more than he can chew, and is constantly trying to challenge himself to become stronger even after his evolution. Having been small and weak as a karrablast, he has a bit of an inferiority complex which he is always trying to overcome by fighting everyone and everything to prove himself. In spite of all the trouble he's caused, Leona respects him as a fighter, one who refuses to give up. She believes that with some training on his temper, rather than his fighting ability, would do him some good.

Bio: For the longest time, Iblis was the matriarchal head of a pack of pawniard that terrorized the town that Leona lived in, until Leona and Isolde took them out. With their Bisharp leader taken out, the pawniard quickly abandoned their group to go seek out a stronger leader, leaving Iblis alone, but such was the nature of their species. Ever since, the bisharp followed Leona, admiring her fighting prowess and ability to train such strong pokemon. Their kind had always respected power and followed the ones who had it, and this was no different.

Bio: This pesky skarmory used to be a problem for the Cardonells, stealing scraps of metal from their forge to make her nests, but it wasn't out of malice so much as necessity, and she always seemed to help them out in return, as well as regard them in an oddly affectionate manner. Avalon protects Leona like one of her own, and though their initial relationship was odd and deceptively problematic, they have grown quite fond of each other.

Bio: After Natalia was suddenly thrust forward in time from the mysterious appearance of a Celebi at the tanabata celebration, many of her pokemon were scattered across time and space, Flora included. Flora perhaps got the short stick, being tossed into a time period a couple thousand years into the past. Her pokeball hit the ground and shattered, releasing her in ancient Unova, where she was lost, confused, and unable to communicate with the pokemon there. It was as if they spoke a different language entirely. She isn't sure what happened to Natalia, or why she was in this strange place, but after having already experienced abandonment once, Flora was crushed and feeling wholly alone until Leona found her and helped care for her. Their relationship has always been a difficult one, it took some time before Flora would begrudgingly accept Leona's assistance, and even then Flora still appears to regard Leona scathingly, but in truth, she is just trying to defend herself from being hurt from the inevitable abandonment she feels is coming. She and Leona do share some commonalities however, such as their interest in craftsmanship. Flora prefers fashion, but she can still appreciate Leona's steel working abilities, especially the floral pokeball that the captain made her as a token of their partnership. Flora's cooperation may very well have been won over by the gift pokeball alone.
