Contest Tidbits
- This contest is to win the brown gal at the center of the banner.
- ALL are eligible to apply, do not discourage others from applying.
- This will be judged not rolled.
- I highly encourage you to only enter if you're interested in this plot / character.
- This cub must stay with the family until adulthood.
- Cubs WILL be going to the Stormborn with the rest of the clan.
- DO NOT assume that your character was mistreated. Evil personalities can happen through RP but none of the cubs should be born evil. If you want your character to grow into a villain on their own that's fine, but it will have nothing to do with their upbringing.
Plot Summary
Bast’ion and Zerrin had been on a journey to exact revenge when they stumbled upon Midas, the golden-maned lion. Almost instantly Bast’ion formed a strong brawling love for Midas, damn near ripping the lions face off. Thankfully, that same burly kirin was rather shy of blood, fainting after a bloody blow was delivered.
Midas was stunned, truly he was, and his laughter was merely him showing his worry for the fellow- Really! Admittedly though, that laughter rapidly evolved into an awkward silence as Midas was left with Zerrin and a large helping of regret. Deciding it best to repair some of the damage done, Midas caught dinner and shared it with the ex-king, where Midas soon learned of the two travelers’ pasts.
After some consideration and much guilt-tripping, the group decided to join forces and make a living in the Stormborn. Thus, the ‘family’ became a hot topic among gossip and fanfiction circles. Unfortunately for the group, life as a rogue wanderer sometimes bites you in the a**- especially when your time is spent as a philanderer.
Late one night a vision struck Bast’ion, leaving him conflicted and rather testy. Upon forceful careful preying, Zerrin and Midas learned of the Bast’ion and his cubs plight. Three newborn cubs had been abandoned without a second glance- their mother most likely hoping they’d die before their eyes opened. They needed no convincing and soon departed to rescue the b*****d children from the hot, hot, hot sun and preying eyes of the vultures above.
If only the lions knew they’d become daddies not once that week, but twice.
Upon arrival home and after the mad scramble to childproof the den the boys soon faced another hurdle- A beauty and her four little hungry beasts. She said she knew Midas and pleaded for him to give the tiny tots a home. Thus, what once was a family of six had now grown to a family of ten- seven of which being newborns.
Certainly one of the three lions would have some experience in child rearing… right?
Questions/Answers
Q: Are the "parents" gay for eachother?
A: The lions have a platonic relationship with one another currently. That being said, Bast'ion and Midas could potentially form a traditional partnership with each other.
Q: Is Botta going to be about?
A: He does live in the Stormborn and there is a potential for him to crop up. Other than that, I can't spoil the details.
Q: Could they adopt/sire more cubs?
A: Potentially...
Q: What pride did Zerrin and Bastion originally come from?
A: Tengoku no Kurēdoru which is now disbanded (Specifically Kori Kingdom). Zerrin and Bast'ion won't be talking about this pride with cubs. Bonus - Zerrin was born in the swampies.

Adults
Bastion (Biological Father/Alpaca Chobi) - His heart has been corrupted with rage and revenge. Once a pure Kirin at the side of his chosen King is now on the road to find the female who ruined it all and exact his revenge. However, he's gotten a bit side tracked. He will be as good a father as he can be but may be on the aloof side. He feels guilty deep down for having cubs at all as his kind was sworn never to do such a thing. (oops)
Midas (Adopted Father/ Zingling) - Midas is blunt and honest, but it’s very much to a fault. He doesn’t know how to sugarcoat things, and will speak his mind before judging whether it’s wise to do so. He’s very altruistic, but sometimes this comes across as arrogant or condescending because he thrusts help upon people without regard to their ego or any situational concepts of honor. He makes cubs cry because he’s much more solution-oriented than sympathetic. He’d poultice and bandage a wound right away instead of comforting the injured and kissing the boo-boo better.
If he’s not fond of someone, he makes no bones about explaining how and why. This gets him into a lot of scrapes and generally causes chaos between him and Bast'ion.
Zerrin (Adopted Father/ Alpaca Chobi) - A Fallen King. He has turned his back on the throne and instead opted to go after the female that disgraced him when she lifted a paw to his holy Kirin. Such a disgrace has never lifted his heart. He will be kind and loving to the cubs though and do his best to raise them with honor.
Hesper (Zingling) - Although she can seem rather caring, generally Hesper is seen as one of the most selfish lionesses one could meet. Anything she does has to in some way make its way back to benefitting her and for most of her life she had lived comfortably. Her beauty has given her many advantages in life and she absolutely knows it and uses it to the hilt. This has come with a price though- her freedom.
After recklessly flirting with her mates’ twin brother, Botta, Hesper soon started noticing differences in her own mates’ behavior. The way her mate treated her, how he spoke, his interests, everything seemed far too similar to Botta. Yet, it was until after her first litter with him, that she realized that indeed the lion she chose to make a family with was indeed her mates’ twin. Pressing the lion about her mate, Botta explained that he had killed his brother in order to live a life with her.
Panic and rage set itself deep inside of Hesper, soon changing into insanity. Slaughtering her cubs, one after another, Hesper left the fake family she created behind her and ran. She is still on the run, even now, only this time she wants to at least give her children a fighting chance. In order to convince Midas to keep her newborn cubs with him, she trader her milk to nourish Bast’ions abandoned cubs along with her own. “Until they can eat properly without her”, she said- Only now she was smittin’ with the single father (Bast’ion) while Midas pines for her out of sight.
*Hesper won’t really be in her cubs lives and should be thought of as a passing friend of the families- Later in life and after some plotting it could be possible to find out what her true identity is.

Siblings (Adopted and Biological)
Satinka (biological/ Zingling) - A butterball, this girl loves to eat and cuddle with whoever is closests. She is absolutely terrified of spiders and thunderstorms.
Gołoledź (biological/ Alpaca Chobi) - This gal is tough for a cub in both the emotional and physical sense. Ledz highly prefers romping around with the rougher of cubs than sitting around doing prissy things. She has a hard time relating to lions who are on the more sensitive side of the scale and tends to lend her self in time out due to this.
Danao (Adopted/ Alpaca Chobi) - The queen of the crocodile tears. Really, Danao is quite good at crying convincingly and almost always ends up getting what she wants from said behavior. She is also known to be a tattletale and a bit of a princess.
Hesper Female Cub 2 (Adopted/Tanakako) -
Astrid (Adopted/ Zingling) - Aggressively possessive of his parents attention, he will pull any stunt imaginable in order to gain the spotlight. Soaks up bad habits like a sponge. A bit of a liar.

A Kirin Rises
Name: Kirru Sehn
Meaning: If it means anything, it's a coincedence, I just thought it sounded pretty.
Personality: Kirru's a little bit of a prankster, enjoying the art of tricks and misdirection immensely. Driven by her mischievous side, she's happy to toy with just about anybody's day, but never intends harm in her tricks. All told, Kirru wants more to make friends through her tricks, and once she knows somepelt, she'll tailor her tricks to avoid triggers. Still, she often starts off with a berry catapult, when she can find enogh berries for it.
Plot Ideas:
Her tricks are liable to get her in trouble at some point. Whether that's with her own family or someone else's is yet to be told, however.
Eventually she'll meet another trickster. Depending on their attitude, she may find a kindred soul or take up arms against him. Possibly both.
She'll on day tire of playing her tricks on the same lions and wander off into rogue territory. She'll come back after she's met a couple others out there, she just wants to explore.
And eventually there will be children? Hers? Someone else's? Maybe she'll adopt some wild dog puppies, just to throw off the pride! Who knows!

A Kirin Rises
Name: Twiga
Meaning: 'Giraffe' in Kiswahili. Giraffes were once thought to be the magical qilin (kirin).
Personality: Twiga is a fickle lioness, so she may like someone for a while just to suddenly change her mind and favour someone else. She believes she knows best of all her siblings, so she doesn't really like spending time with them, especially the other girls. She makes an exception for Gołoledź because she admires her tough nature, but she thinks other females in general are just whiny brats. She also admires Midas' bluntness (as long as it is not directed at herself), and mimicks it to some degree, which doesn't win her many friends. She doesn't mind spending time alone anyway, since she believes that the only lion you can really trust is herself. When she does seek company, Twiga wants to be one of the guys and will even pretend to be male when she can, although as she ages it will become more difficult.
Plot Ideas:
- Once the family reaches the Stormborn, she will be completely swept up by the pride's beliefs. She will seek to become a Reaver and perhaps a Captain some day.
- An unintended romance? Another lady mistakes her for a male despite her lack of a mane... and she doesn't correct her until things have gotten serious. Perhaps she takes to wearing a fur around her head to blend in which causes the mistake in the first place.
- Some sort of sibling rivarly, plz

A Kirin Rises
Name: Arashi
Meaning: storm, tempest
Personality: Arashi is a whirlwind of energy and not much stands in her way. If it does, it runs the risk of getting blown over. Her confidence in herself and her ideas is monumental and will definitely make her butt heads with other headstrong cubs that she meets, but Arashi is quite keen on winning the marathon, not the race. She will let others take the victory in a moment while she works out a way to win later on when something better comes along. As she grows she'll begin to hone her skills of persuasion and manipulation, becoming quite the silver-tongued Reaver with honeyed words that catch far more flies than some of the more brutish Stormborn. She will talk her way into victories and spoils and, should words fail her, she'll have her confidence and dynamic energy to fall back on in a fight.
Plot Ideas:
- I'd really like for her to meet up with another SB I have who is currently a cub, Geist. He's a bit older than her and is aspiring to be a bard when he's older. With her unique style of eventual Reaving, he'll enjoy going out with her to weave tales of heroes and fools alike. They'll be great buddies!
- As she grows she'll definitely take an interest in her father's past. She'll pry him for answers to questions he probably doesn't want be asked, but she'll do it all the same. She wants to know about where she came from, why she's here, and her father is the best source of information in that regard, right? If not, she'll happily pester Zerrin for answers.
- An encounter at some point, perhaps in adolescence, when she triumphs over another peer using brains rather than brawn.
- She'll eventually become a Reaver and further down the line a Captain.

Name: Altxorra
Meaning: Treasure in Basque
Personality: Xorra is a daddy's girl through and through. However.... which daddy depends on what she wants or if she can get her way. She has inherited a bit of each of her dads, becoming quite the little brat underneath her manipulative sweetness.
From Bastion, who she calls papa, she's gained her sense of pride and her ability to hold a grudge. Once she sets her mind on something, she would chew rocks before being deterred from her goal. Her grudges are more petty though anyone who harms or looks down upon her family would have a prime seat on her bad list. That includes calling her daddies strange.
From Midas, who she calls pops, she's become extremely blunt. There is no beating around the bush. Sure, she'll smile sweetly and try to go to the father who will give her what she wants. But when she's asked why she didn't go to her other fathers? "He wouldn't have said yes." There's no need to lie or hide things, in her opinion.
From Zerrin, who she calls daddy, she's gotten his more lovable attitude and demands cuddles from not only him but the other two as well. He is also the one she usually tries to go to when she wants something, though not if she wanted to do something a bit dangerous.
She is extremely possessive of her fathers as well. If someone showed interest in any single one of them or took their attention away from the family, she'd be quick to try and intervene. She would rather be with her family the way it is forever.

I would really love for her to be heavily involved with the three fathers.
Some plot with Midas and Hesper could be cool, especially since Altxorra would want Hesper to stay away from Midas. Because that's her Midas, not Hesper's.
