Watermelon!
It brings back so many memories! Hanging out with my extended family on hot sticky days in the backyard. The younger kids scream and chasing each other and the cicadas just screaming. Biting into a juicy watermelon and have the juice run down my hands and make my face all sticky. And being grossed out that my mom put salt on her piece. Yeah.

Chicken salad, tuna salad, ham salad, potato salad, macaroni salad, egg salad or deviled eggs, anything I can make early in the day when it is relatively cool, put it in the refrigerator, and serve later in the day when it is sweltering hot.
