[Round 1] Geei vs Kalimoto

Round 1 information:

- The winner of this duel will be guaranteed the rank of 'Corporal'.
- The winner is the lion/ness who rolls the highest number across 5 turns. An extra turn must be rolled by each player to break a tie. [Reminder of rolls: 1 - miss, 2 - bide/glancing attack, 3 - hit]
- Even if you rolled higher than your opponent, if you fail to edit your rolls with an RP response, your character is disqualified.

Awwww yeeaaaah! This was it! Her time to shine. Kalimoto was pumped and, the moment her name had been matched to another, she'd marched straight to her designated arena to wait, pacing back and forth to pass the time until her fight could begin. There was a wildfire in her veins, stoked by the thrill of the fight and the chance for superiority over her fellow brothers and sisters.

Her face, at seeing Geei, transformed into one of delight and, setting her teeth into a snarl, she barely took a moment to draw breath before she had thrown herself at the other female, howling in anticipation of the battle.

Unfortunately for her, her aim would be severely off.

Geei was very pleased with herself. Of course she would be drawn to the commanding ranks like a moth to a flame and with a tournament and the thought of victory licking at her heels she had stalked in to the arena without a moment to loose.

. The fact that she had been pitted against another female pleased her, she was stronger than any male, she knew that, she felt that deep in her bones. Her brother had entered this tournament too and she was determined to beat the big lug out if she came to face him.


Her opponent had arrived first and it seemed that the other female was in no mood to chat. A low growl rumbled past her lips as the other female launched an attack which she managed to dodge. She in turn flipped out a paw to try and swipe at the other femmes back hind quarters as she flew past with little success.

A battle between two female warriors was different in many ways. More finesse. More dancing than actual fighting. They were generally smaller and lighter on their feet and had to take advantage of that when facing against a male.

There had been dodges on both sides so far and Kalimoto's heart was singing with the adrenaline.

As she dodged Geei's first attack she slid to a halt in the sand and blinked across at her opponent. Her steely grin seemed almost to break her face in two. "You're fast," she complimented, "but can you dodge this?" And, setting her hind legs firmly against the sand, she propelled herself forwards, staying low across the sand in a full-body tackle, intending to topple them both across the gold.

Geei smiles quietly "You too." She nods her head, Geei had not been born on the sand, she had learned to fight here when she came, she had learned to use her speed as an advantage as well as her size. She had always been a powerful beast but here on the shifting sands, it was a strange place to fight, it had taken time to learn.

The big lioness took the hit she was dealt, turning her lips in a snarl she dove to meet the attack doling out a smack of her own hoping to throw the other female off balance.

Kalimoto's attack had been bold and, in such close quarters after her lunge, Geei's strike swung true. Her ears rang and, with a snarl, she chose to keep on the heat rather than hang back and wait for her ears to clear again.

Twisting, she threw herself upwards again, a paw flicking up at Geei's jaw, a growl in her throat as she felt the successful strike emanate through her body.

Aha! This was fun!

Srsly girls, stop rolling the same! LOL

Geei laughed, a pleased laugh, her coal black eyes dancing a pleased dance. She enjoyed fighting and it had been a while since she had to use her skills properly. This female, she was skilled and she was more than happy to continue this battle.

The strike from the other female shook down to her bones, her lips turned in a snarl and rather than aiming another shot at the lionesses head, she pulled her paw around hooking at her fore paws, toppling her now would be an advantage, perhaps she could pin the other femme and see this battle end now, even though she was enjoying the fight so much.

Geei's pounce was successful and, though Kalimoto had landed a couple of decent hits, her tirade was momentarily brought to a halt - her back pressed to the floor and her eyes blinking up at the other female's face.

"Ha!" the sound burst from her with a slight wild tinge to it's tone. She wasn't ready for this to end yet and, at the same time, she seemed suddenly to realise that she hadn't drawn a proper breath since the fight had begun.

"I love the way you fight!" She said, attempting to wriggle free.

haha omg, seriously one of them has gotta roll differently!

Geei looked down for a moment at the othe lioness as she wriggled out from her grasp, she took the slight pause to pull in a few deep breaths. She hated to admit it but it was tiring fighting for so long, she was used to running in, taking the shot and leaving them in a puddle. She was so evenly matched with this other female though that she felt pride that she shared a pride with her.

"When this is all over, lets go and find some trouble okay?" She smirks.

With a smirk, Kalimoto clambered back to her paws, spinning neatly on the sand and flashing her counterpart a winning smile, "you can count on it. We should have been friends long ago, sister."

And, shifting into pounce position she made - what she hoped to be - her final move, swinging a paw up and round. Unfortunately for her, it seemed that Geei had picked upon one of her trademark moves and her paw collided with nothing at all.

Kalimoto cursed colourfully as she landed back on her paws.

Geei stepped backwards, she felt air from the other lioness' paw,s he stood back for a moment catching her breath. It seemed she had found an ally in this tournament if nothing else. A lioness not unlike herself, strong and willing to do anything to get ahead.

She gave a nod and a grin, letting out a cheerful chuckle the dark lioness, took a slow step, she just had to get a good shot in, she had made a friend, but she was still determined to win this.

"Ha! Well! Sucks to be me, I guess." She shook herself vigorously and threw her newfound comrade another grin, "give those other wannabes a good slap from me, ok? I guess the higher ranks just aren't ready for me yet. Just wait until next time."

She gave a wink and, with another laugh, leapt out of the ring and scurried away. It was likely, however, that she'd be there to watch the next rounds and cheer on Geei.

There did need to be more strong women taking the lead in these parts.

Geei watched as her fighting partner left. She smiles, pleased with herself, despite the fact that they had been evenly matched, one of them had to come out on top. She would see her new friend again, she was certain of that. Now, she just had to go and brag to her brother about becoming a corporal.
