Rahisi

Rahisi is beyond healing, it's come to the good doctors attention that she won't be making a recovery and is indeed breathing her final breaths. Fortunately the family will have the opportunity to say their goodbyes.

Her condition:

  • Rahisi is incredibly weak.
  • Unresponsive for the most part.
  • Visibly ill, thinning labored breathing.

Questions?

Any questions your lion may have, example: "Is she suffering?" can certainly be directed to her attending physician Mal (who is working alongside Yawo). Yawo is also available for question(s). They won't likely be a huge part of this as it is more of a personal thing.

Those involved:

  • Family members.
  • Doctors.
  • Council members.

Times were tough - not because of food, droughts or otherwise, this was a personal matter. Throek`irid was given the darkest news he could have received, his mate would die. She'd had her last bout of curiosity and would not be coming back from this. With a heavy heart he began to round up their children - this would be their final goodbye.

"Onik Zuul." Alduin said as he entered the space, the air surrounding the small group that had already gathered was as heavy as their hearts. The Jun, who had known the lioness fairly well, knew of her curiosity and would have been sad to say that this came as little surprise. It was still incredibly sad to see a creature, whom had been so lively look so frail. "I'm so sorry." He offered his condolences to the orange male in passing, already the lioness appeared dead save a breath or two which appeared to be painful at best.

Jua was in a corner, he'd begun to frequent the space which contained his mother and thus he'd brought some items to make his time there a little more comfortable. It was a mere two days that had passed since the beginning of this little horror story and he was sufficiently exhausted by the whole ordeal - the small area he had claimed contained a leather spread which suggested that he'd even slept there. For the time being he was awake, though barely and appeared weak - the poison still wreaking havoc on his insides.

These past couple of days had been exhausting. He rarely left the room where she was being kept aside from once or twice to meet with Zjarri to get a update on the how the research side of the battle was going. Other than that Yawo and him stayed at Rahisis's side. Much like Throek they were forgoing rest most nights to instead pack in extra research or to tend to another one of Rahisi's seizing fits.

The irony that they were doing the exact same thing Malphas advised the orange male against just days prior was not lost on him.

He had to give her family and the Dov in a great deal of credit. Ever since he had broken the grim news to them they have responded only with grace, efficiency, and a quiet sorrow that tore at his heart strings more than any dramatic wailing would. They were in pain yet...

They were working through the unimaginable.

Even if she was on her literal deathbed Yawo and Malphas still spent a great deal of time tending to their patient. They managed to get her barely functioning body to respond and drink watery cocktails of varies herbs to ease any pain she might have been in, relax her body and hopefully if there was still any sliver of cognitive brain processes left ease her mind.

When the medical duo heard they were doing a ceremony for her family to come say their good byes Yawo had brought up what a unsettling and almost frightening appearance she had. So, the duty of tenderly cleaning and grooming the lioness fell onto their shoulders. After all was said and done she had been freshly bathed. The grass bedding that she had been laying on before switched out, Yawo had even gone and found (non-toxic this time thankfully) to wave into the bedding both for appearance and to mask the overwhelming smell of death seeping from the lioness. To hide the shakiness in her legs and the emaciation Malphas had snagged borrowed a fur blanket to cover most of her body with. With their work done it could almost pass off as her just sleeping or resting.

He hoped to whatever gods were listening that it would be enough to help ease her passing for her family.

They were minor touches, sure, but done in complete respect for both Rahisi and for what her family was going through. They deserved the last image of their beloved mother and wife be as normalize as they achieve instead of a pitifully shriveled living corpse.

Once Alduin strolled in Malphas retired from his post. Calmly he joined Jua in the corner of the room. Plunking his large body down next to him Malphas's eyes never stopped moving. They scanned the room absorbing what was happening, and also he was keeping a very watchful eye on Jua. The moment he saw him his secondary priority had been his child. Why Jua was clearly faring much better than his own mother he still was exposed to the toxins - and it was showing. He might not have been able to do anything for his mother but he would work his a** off to make sure he didn't meet the same fate.

Ah, but he was getting ahead of himself. For now he would off stand of to the side from this very personal affair. If people wished to ask him questions he was free to have his mind picked at.

But at this point in time he was content to take the role of a silent observer.

Just to let you know Malphas is here now. <3

To anyone joining feel free to come ask him questions! But otherwise he wouldn't be taking a huge part.

Song to set the mood.

Thalea wasn't sure how to feel, her heart was breaking into a million pieces and her soul was crying out in ways she never knew was possible. How could this have happened? Why couldn't something have been done?

She was angry, angry that the God's felt the need to snuff her life from this world, that they felt like her presence was no longer necessary.

"Can she hear us?" It was a general question, not to anyone in particular, she just wanted to know if her mother would hear her if she spoke to her and she felt her throat begin to choke up as tears welled in her eyes.
